The Zoldyck Princess

She was reborn as the third child of the family and its only daughter. She has two older, and two younger brothers.

By the time she was born, she felt nothing but sickly and in pain. She wondered if she was born weak.

By the time she can open her eyes, she has a newborn sibling with her in another crib, with a woman in a visor and frilly dress occasionally injecting them with syringes? Were they THAT sickly?!

She was assisted by a woman dressed like a butler,

'Humm, Miss Killua doesn't show pain to this one anymore madam.'

'Really?!' the frilly-dressed woman squealed in delight, sounding...proud? 'My genius daughter! Not even Illumi could resist (insert name of poison) until he was age five and Killua did it at two-and-a-half years old?! I'm so proud!' she sobbed comically. 'Switch to the next poison!'

'Yes madam.'

Wait, what?

The reason she was fighting for her life while a baby was because she was being poisoned?! What the hell?!

"I'm not going to die as a baby!" and out of her desperation to live, she triggered her flames...and encased herself in it.

'Madam!' the butler yelped in alarm.

'Kyaaa! Honeeey! Killu went on fire!'

Minutes later...

'This is most unusual.' said Zeno as he touched the flames and got burned to second-degrees. 'It's as real as fire but at the same time, not real. She got this during Poison Training?'

'Yes, but none of the other kids got this happening to them, father.' said the woman, perplexed. 'It's only Killua this happened to.'

'Anyway, keep it up. We'll see where this goes but do it carefully this time.' said the other man who was dressed like a Japanese when he clearly wasn't. 'We'll wait this out.'

Chrome dreaded this now. Poison TRAINING? You can't be serious...and her name is Killua now. Killua. Reeeeaaaal subtle...

Age three, she was trained in stealth, tracking and tailing. For a normal three year old, that would risk a toddler's life...but not her. Illumi-nii and grandfather supervised this training.

'Grandfather, Killu, she...' Illumi who was fifteen raised an eyebrow at 'Killua's ability to tail which was advanced for her age, amazing them.

'Mm...she learns quick.' Zeno approves. 'If only she was born a boy. Not being a sexist or anything, but given the situation, we're still thinking about it.' he sighed. 'Our family cannot lose that genius blood to another assassin family. The mere idea is ridiculous unless they offer something of equal worth Killua marrying into their family...' he shook his head, lamenting the future loss.

It was when she was four when she learned about her new reality.

She is born to the Zoldyck Family, a Family renowned as Assassins by trade.

Assassination is the Zoldyck Family's traditional trade going back at least a few generations in the family, their fame and fortune coming from this activity. With rare exceptions, all family members are professional assassins for hire.

Their family name alone can inspire fear in the Underworld.

Service Fee? VERY HIGH.

Children in the family are trained from birth in the art of assassination, starting with poison-resistance training...and getting electrocuted...she dreaded what comes next when she gets older.

In every generation, there appears to be a prodigy child who would be named as the heir. That's her, the only girl in the family.

The Zoldyck Family owns and lives at the Kukuroo Mountain, a dormant volcano in the Dentora region of the Republic of Padokea, which stands at 3,722 meters. Their estate is surrounded by huge stone walls guarded by a giant hunting beast named Mike and attendants highly skilled in martial arts.

However, there are limits for Butlers as only the family must be stronger than them.

Training was hell.

Surely, it puts the Varia to shame as these guys have what they don't.

She was distant from her older brothers. Illumi's out at work, and Milluki's a hikikomori inventor, hacker and informant for the family. But she was close to Alluka and Kalluto whom she treated kindly and gently. Its nice to have little brothers who are two and three years younger than her.

She lived much of her life in the massive compound...and during playing at age of six, she and their butler babysitter Mitsuba discovered Alluka's secret...forcing Killua to use her ability to make Mitsuba forget everything, and set conditions to Alluka and the other whom she named Tomoko for their safety as she knows full well how the family works. The 'other's name meant '共子-together with child' as the wish granter was always with Alluka all along.

'From now on, only three of us here know what you can do. You, me and Alluka.' said Killua anxiously. 'But in public, you will only heal after three requests. Being a known healer is safer than a wish-granter. Goodness knows you'll be exploited to hell and back! If you are asked why and how, always say if one fulfills three wants, you heal all illnesses. But if a person is healthy, his or her prize will instead, go to a family member of their choosing who is ill instead.'

'Kay.'

'Let's set some terms and conditions fair for your sakes...' and she asked a particular question she heard as a baby...

A week after that, she was taken by her father to Heaven's Arena.

'Daddy, what are we here for?' Killua asked her father curiously while looking up at the messy-looking tall building..

'You will learn how to fight here.' Silva told her to her internal sweatdropping. 'Once you reach the 200th floor, return home.'

'Er what about money?'

'You will win money, be careful in spending it though and don't blow it all away until you finish your training.' Silva reminded her. 'Because this is survival training.'

'OK.'

Thus Killua studied all the rules after registering.

Competitors are allowed to fight and defeat their opponent using any means, but weapons are not allowed on the first 199 floors. Competitors are given prize money for advancing on each of those 199 floors. After reaching the 100th floor, competitors get their own private room. Up to the 200th floor, the building is divided into twenty 10-floor parts. For example, a fighter who wins on the 40th floor advances to the 50th, and one who loses on the same level regresses to the 30th: a 10-story scale.

"Sasagawa-san would enjoy this no doubt." she thought as she registered her name as Chrome Dokuro.

The first few fights are boring and don't bring much.

Until she got to higher floors that bring millions, so she's milking everything for money by literally downplaying her skills.

With her account, she could buy stuff she wanted for herself. Her room in Zoldyck Estate is too too dull.

'Daddy can I borrow a few butlers to renovate my room? I have a design in mind and yes, I can pay for it...I'll forward the design to Milluki-nii. Oh? I'm at the 140th floor now. Yes...yes...OK. Please send one butler to me to bring some stuff home for me. It's a part of my renovated room. Kay. Bye.'

Silva thought deeply.

Six months.

And already at the 150th floor.

He expected at least a year and half, even with how talented his daughter was. But that progress in six months? He had Milluki obtain videos from the arena to see why the six months...

And his daughter, is clearly screwing around and taking her time, because she was apparently, amassing money to pay for her bedroom renovation, he thought with a deadpan. Her stage name was Chrome Dokuro. And mess around some more, so she can come home to a brand new room.

Which happened when she was messing around with the floors that give out 200 million payouts.

However, he obtained a video that...she's fighting at the 200th floor from his shaken second son.

'Dad, did you tell Killu to fight at 200th floor? Look!' so he did and his six year old, is fighting well and this time, she's not messing around. But where'd she get that trident?

But still, that look on her face! Those cold eyes that promised cold-blooded, merciless ruthlessness! Father is proud! He initially thought she didn't have what it takes because she was kind and gentle with her younger brothers and it worried the clan BECAUSE she was the family genius.

He took out his phone and speed-dialed Killua. 'Killua, I heard you're on the 200th floor.'

/Yeah, And I retired just now. You did ask me to reach the 200th floor before coming home so that was my last match./ Silva sputtered. She took his words quite literally! She was supposed to end things at 199th floor after hearing her promotion to fight at 200th and call it quits, NOT fight up to 200th floor where death awaited her! She's darn lucky!

'Did you...get a hazing?'

/I don't think anyone can haze me...even with Nen, I'm the better fighter./ that was fact, not arrogance. /They relied on it too much without improving skill nor thought how to use that power creatively...but I felt it brush at me and suddenly I felt like I'm in a steam bath so I talked to the receptionist who taught me this nen thingy...I'll train this at home so can I have a break from work so I can figure this out?/

'I'll supervise. What the people there know is the bare bones and the world of Nen is vast.' Silva told her. 'You'll be under strict training young lady, at least until you're an A-Class Nen-User.' he said sternly. 'This power is no joke that only 1/100th of 1% of all people in the world knows its existence.'

Silva delivered on his promise to train Killua at 'his most strictest' in Nen and their family had their own idea of doting on Killua for her progress in both studies and training. It helps that she never grew arrogant. She was as sweet as ever and even plays with her younger brothers until taken for training.

She was a Manipulator-Type like her mother and eldest brother...and when thinking, she wanted Illusions as her ability.

To create Illusions, you must control one's five senses and perception. Its a battle of the minds. His daughter sure wants it big.

Cue five years later, at age 11...she can be trusted with high-profile jobs at a young age as a B-Class Nen-User.

But she got a particular requirement requested for her job...

'Daddy, on a scale of 1-10, how fun are Hunter Exams?' Killua asked Silva who looked up from his laptop where...he reads news as who'd deliver a newspaper to the Zoldyck Residence?!

'What brought this on now, Killu?'

'An annoying client said Zoldyck or not, he won't hire me until I get a license so I have to take the Hunter Exams.' Killua grumbled, showing him her client profile. 'Can I triple charge him after this?'

'Bad for business.' Silva gently chided. 'In our business, customer is King. Thus our most important skill as assassins is to Endure.' he patted her head. 'You meet jerks once in a while and I've met plenty.' he snorted. 'If you can't endure, it takes one person to ruin hard-earned reputation which is bad for business. Come to think of it, Illumi was also asked to have a license this year. Makes me worry for Alluka and Kalluto one day...' he tut-tutted. 'We're assassins asked to be Hunters now? Good grief.'

So she was allowed to leave home to take the Hunter Exam and tracked the site to Zaban City's underground site...under a Steak Restaurant. She simply controlled the employees to let her in, after shopping for necessities. Girl things, of course. Who knows how long this takes, huh?

She misses her days when she was Menopause.
