Before reading this, I suggest you go read 'What harm could there be?' first, as this is a continuation of that fic.

I know that this is a bit short, but I just wanted to add a bit more for these two!

I am also writing this due to a really nice comment I received on 'What harm could there be?' from flammedefanfiction. Their comment really inspired me to continue this, and so, if they are reading this, I want them to know that this is for them!

Thank you.

"I must apologise for my behaviour last night, it was… most unbecoming of me." Jean took a small sip of her warm tea, wrapping her blanket a bit tighter around her.

Lisa gave a light laugh. "I see no need for an apology, I rather enjoyed it."

After falling into the fountain, kissing her best friend and promptly passing out, Jean had woken up in Lisa's apartment. After flushing bright red from realising what she had done, Jean had tried to slip away back to her house, hoping that Lisa's habits of sleeping in still held on that morning.

Unfortunately, she had opened the door only to be met by Lisa, who was holding two mugs of hot tea. The mage had thanked her and then made her way further into the room, guiding the Acting Grandmaster to sit back down.

Which eventually brought them back here.

"Still," The blonde insisted. "I can't help but feel I have overstepped my boundaries too far."

Lisa took a deep breath and sighed. "Jean, there was no harm done at all. If anything, I am most glad that this has happened."

"You… are?"

She giggled. "Of course, silly! Do you know how long I have been waiting for something like this to happen?"

Jean looked startled. "But I- I thought that you…" She frowned. "Why didn't you say something sooner?"

"I was uncertain as to whether you might have thought the same." She placed her mug down. "I feared that, if I said something, it could cause a rift in our friendship, and that is the last thing I want. Although, now it seems that I have been mistaken."

Jean groaned and placed her head in her hands. "Oh, what an idiot I have been all this time…"

"We both have been idiots."

"But wait!" Jean looked back up. "You flirt with nearly everyone you meet! Was that just you…"

Lisa raised an eyebrow. "Flirting? Please, that's just me trying to be friendly. I can see why many would see it that way, though. But I truly do just enjoy going out to dinner and having people buy me flowers as just a friendly gesture." She leaned in, a bright grin on her face. "Why? You jealous, dear?"

The knight could feel her face turning more and more red. "N-no. But now I fear what actual flirting may entail with you."

"You haven't noticed?"

She shook her head. Noticed what?

Lisa leant back. "Teasing, heartfelt talks, trying to get my friend to stop working and do something fun, pretending to be asleep so that the Acting Grandmaster will fuss all over me." She smirked. "Those kinds of things."

Jean's eyes widened. "But you- we, ah, that… you mean to say that you've been flirting with me in your own way the entire time!?

The purple clad woman began to laugh. "There we go! She finally got it!"

Eventually, her laughter died down when she saw Jean's expression. "What is it?"

The blonde didn't look at her. "You're really okay with this? You're sure?

Lisa's eyes softened, and she took her friend's hand in hers. "I have never been more sure of anything in my life."

Jean finally looked her in the eye then, her eyes lightening up once more. "Good. That- that is good. Because I really feel like kissing you again."

The brunette smiled cheekily. "Oh my, so bold! Are you sure you shouldn't ask for my parents' permission first? They might not like how quickly we are moving along with this."

That got Jean to laugh, her eyes crinkling at the edges, and Lisa began to laugh along with her too. They stayed there for a while, just laughing and smiling at each other.

"You may." Jean stifled her giggles when Lisa spoke again. "Kiss me, I mean."

And she did.

They continued to hold hands as they sat there, their tea soon forgotten and growing cold.

But they were happy- together.

I hope you enjoyed this! My romance writing isn't great, considering I am a Ace and have never been in a romantic relationship. I always worry that it can sometimes make my characters seem a bit OOC. Please tell me if something needs correcting!
