answer to NCISlover's review on Busted: no, she's not, although she might need to be, lol. Your review gave me this idea, so I hope you enjoy.

And apparently, I like to be mean to Kensi, so sorry girl, you're getting your hide tanned again.

...

"Kensi, you alright?" Callen asked as she limped heavily towards her desk after a long day of work. She had tripped while chasing a suspect, falling, landing awkwardly on her right ankle.

"Yeah, Callen, I'm fine, just need to go sit down." Callen followed her as she sat down at her desk, sideways in her seat with a grimace.

"You don't look fine. You need me to take a look at your leg?"

"No, Callen, I'm sure it's just a sprain. I'll go home and ice it, alright?"

"I could take you to the ER?"

"No. I'm fine," Kensi said firmly as she began packing up her stuff, sliding her laptop into her messenger bag.

"Alright," Callen gave in with a sigh. "Go home and rest then. I will see you tomorrow." Kensi disappeared down the tunnel, closing the door behind her. Callen pulled his phone out of his pocket, dialing Deeks.

"Hey, Callen, what's up?" Deeks answered on the second ring.

"Hey, Deeks, sorry to bother you, I know you've got sensitivity training and what not, but Kensi-"

"What happened to Kensi?" Deeks asked quickly, cutting him off.

"She got a little banged up today. Her leg is bothering her more than she's letting on. She went home already, so just check on her when you get home, okay? She might be in need of a little persuasion, catch my drift?"

"Yeah, Callen, thank you," Deeks said. "I'm leaving right now." Deeks hung up the phone, and Callen was left in silence.

Kensi drove home, still too hyped up on adrenaline to actually let the pain in her ankle sink in. Monty greeted her at the door, leaning against her legs.

"Ow, Monty, move," Kensi said, reaching down to half pet, half shove him off. She hobbled inside and found an icepack, wrapping it around her ankle, which had begun to throb more and more. She was beginning to think it was more than just a sprain.

She hobbled up the stairs to the master bathroom, rummaging through the medicine cabinet for a stiff bandage and some extra-strength Tylenol. She quickly stripped off her jeans and socks, wrapping the ankle, took two painkillers, then changed into sweatpants and new socks.

She then headed back downstairs, where she reheated some leftover take out for dinner. She settled down on the couch, and Monty jumped up next to her, curling up on top of her feet.

Deeks walked in a little while later, coming and finding her as soon as he kicked off his shoes.

"Hi," she greeted, as if nothing was amiss. "I saved some loco moco for you. It's in the fridge."

"Oh, okay, thanks," Deeks said, sitting beside her, scratching Monty beside the ears. Kensi leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

"Kensi?"

"Hmm?"

"How was your day? Everything go okay?"

"Yeah, everything was great. We got the guys, and we stopped the arms dealers. How was sensitivity training?"

"It was fine," Deeks said quickly. "But you're okay? No injuries?"

"No, Deeks, I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

"Callen said you might've been a bit banged up today," Deeks tried again, trying to get Kensi to open up.

"No more than usual," Kensi replied. "Just a couple bumps and bruises."

"Okay, if you say so," Deeks said, getting up and heading into the kitchen. Later that night, Kensi's ankle had begun to throb, and as she ascended the stairs to the bedroom, she couldn't hide the limp.

"Kensi, are you sure you're okay?" Deeks asked again as she sat down on the bed, breaths slightly labored.

"Yeas, Deeks, I am fine."

"You never wear socks to bed," he pointed out, as Kensi folded her feet under her.

"My feet were cold," she lied, watching him change into his pajamas.

"You're never cold," Deeks said, frowning. He walked over to her side of the bed, gently taking her right foot in a gentle but firm grip. Kensi tensed, holding in her groan of pain. Deeks used gentle hands to slide her sock off and slide her pant leg up her ankle. "And what do we have here?" he asked as he revealed the stiff white bandage she had wrapped her injury in.

Kensi frowned, and tried to pull her ankle out of his grip. Deeks squeezed, and Kensi stopped pulling as a jolt of pain shot up her leg.

"Yeah, that hurts, doesn't it?" Deeks deadpanned with a frown.

"It's just a sprain," Kensi ground out as Deeks unwrapped the bandage, revealing bruised skin underneath.

"Yeah, no, that's not a sprain," Deeks said, tossing the wrapping aside. "We're going to the ER. Come on, up you get." Deeks wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up onto her feet. Kensi immediately tugged her injured foot from the ground.

"No, Deeks, I am fine. Let me sleep it off, I'll be good as new in the morning, I promise," Kensi pleaded. Deeks tugged on her hand, and she hobbled forward.

"No, Kensi, we're going to the doctor." With that, Deeks scooped Kensi up and carried her, kicking and screaming, down the stairs to the garage.

"Deeks! I'm fine! Put me down!"

Deeks scowled at her and set her down near the passenger door of his truck. Kensi backed up a fraction. This was one of the few times she had seen Deeks genuinely angry.

Deeks drove them to the ER, and several hours later, Kensi was walking away with a diagnosed broken ankle, a chunky black walking boot buckled around her ankle, and an angry boyfriend trailing behind her. The drive home was silent as Deeks tried to cool down. He was angry, but more so, disappointed. Kensi had lied to him, trying to hide an actually serious injury.

He was going to have to discipline her, he knew that, but he was not happy about it. He hated when she got hurt, and knowing he would have to cause her more pain hurt his heart. But it was the easiest and fastest way to get his point across without doing anything permanent.

He pulled into the garage and turned off the truck, leaning back in his seat.

"Go to the living room," he directed after taking a breath. "I'll be in in a minute." Kensi frowned, glancing over at him.

"Are you going to...?"

"Yeah," Deeks said, rubbing a hand over his face. Kensi nodded and got out of the truck, limping into the house without another word. Deeks rested his head on the headrest, tilting it upward for a moment before glancing down at his hands. He heaved a sigh and got out of the car, heading inside, where Monty greeted him with a wagging tail.

"Not now, pal," Deeks murmured, gently pushing him away. he walked into the living room, where Kensi was sitting on the couch, left leg tucked under her, the right one resting on the floor. "Hey."

Kensi looked up. "Hi," she said quietly.

"You know I don't like it when you lie to me, right?" Deeks asked, coming to sit next to her, taking her hands in his.

"Yeah, I know," Kensi murmured, refusing to look at him.

"So why'd you do it?" Deeks asked, brushing his thumbs over the backs of her hands. Kensi shrugged. "Kens? Look at me. Why did you lie to me? You know lies get you nowhere."

Kensi took a deep breath and looked up at him with watery eyes.

"I-I wanted to prove to you that I could handle it," Kensi started. "That I wasn't some little girl who had to go home and rest. That I could still work through it."

"Oh, Kensi, you don't need to prove to me anything. Anything," Deeks said fiercely, tugging her into a hug. "You're the strongest person I've ever met, alright? You have nothing to prove."

Kensi nodded against his shoulder with a sigh. Deeks pulled away then.

"Shall we get this over with?" he asked. Kensi glanced down at her lap, nodding. "Okay, come around to this side." Deeks guided his girlfriend over his lap, quickly divested her of her pants and underwear. Kensi shuddered as the cool air met her skin. Deeks steeled himself, wrapped his left arm around her waist. He raised his hand and brought it down against her backside with moderate force.

Kensi let out a yelp as Deeks brought his hand down again, and again. He covered the whole of her bottom with swats until her skin was bright red and hot. It didn't take long for Kensi to start crying, burying her face in her arms. If this were Hetty spanking her, she would not have started to cry so soon, but the fact that it was Deeks, and that he was so disappointed in her, it just made the whole situation that much worse, emotionally.

Kensi kicked her feet as Deeks worked his way down to her sit spots, lighting a whole new fire there.

"Stop kicking," Deeks ordered sternly, landing two extra hard swats to the backs of her thighs to emphasize his point. Kensi yelped, biting her lip between her teeth to keep from crying anymore. "Baby, it's okay to cry. We're almost done."

Deeks let another flurry of swats rain down on her sit spots. Kensi couldn't help but kick her feet, an uneven tempo against the floor. It was all she could do to keep her hands in front of her, wanting so badly to throw one back in a vain attempt to provide protection. But she didn't, just waited it out, crying into her arms.

Deeks was upset he was causing her pain, but he knew this was the only way he would get through to her. It was working to, Kensi was just about ready to give in. He decided one more round against her sit spots would send his point home.

"Almost done," Deeks murmured. "Almost done."

Kensi twisted 'round to look at him.

"Please no more," Kensi pleaded. One look at Kensi's tear streaked face was enough for Deeks to almost lose his resolve. But he steeled himself and landed 10 more hard smacks to her bottom before stopping. Kensi let out a little squeal as she went limp over his lap, completely unmoving, aside from the shaking of her shoulders from her cries.

"All done," Deeks murmured, rubbing his left hand up and down her back. "All over, baby, all over." Deeks pulled Kensi's pants and underwear back up, wincing as she let out a hiss of pain.

He let her get all her crying out before scooping her up, setting her upright on his lap, balancing her bright red bottom between his knees. He wrapped one arm around her middle, holding her close, the other one rubbing gently up and down her leg.

Kensi looked up at him, tears still streaming down her face. Deeks tugged his sleeve over his hand and wiped away her tears. There were tears shining in his eyes.

"Don't you ever, ever, make me do that again," he said vehemently, giving her shoulders a little shake.

"I won't," she replied quietly, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry."

"I know." Deeks rested his chin on her hair. She sniffled.

"That was horrible."

"I know," Deeks replied. "It wasn't worse than Hetty's, was it?"

"Are you kidding me? Nothing's worse than Hetty's."

"You've got a point there," Deeks murmured.

"Besides, you give better snuggles," Kensi replied, wiping her nose on her sleeve before burrowing her face into his neck.

"Mm, do I now?" Deeks asked with a smile. Kensi nodded, closing her eyes.

"Should we go to bed now? It is after midnight, you know."

"Well who's fault is that?" Kensi retorted, still hiding her face. "I'm not the one who dragged us to the ER at 10 at night."

Deeks swatted her. Kensi yipped, lifting up her head to glare at him.

"Watch that tone," Deeks scolded, and Kensi looked down.

"Sorry."

"It's fine." Deeks stood up then with Kensi in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck, sighing with pleasure. Though she wouldn't admit it, Kensi loved to be carried. "Ice pack?"

Kensi nodded. "Please."

Deeks carried her to the kitchen, allowing her to withdraw a cold pack from the freezer before carrying her effortlessly up the stairs. Monty followed them, toenails clicking on the hardwood.

On the short way up the stairs, Kensi had finally quit fighting the exhaustion that had come about from the day's events, including and not limited to her spanking a few minuted before. She rested her head on Deeks' shoulder, falling into a half asleep state.

When Deeks reached the bedroom, he set her, bottom down, on the bed so he could help her take off her boot. Kensi whimpered and opened her eyes.

"I know it hurts," Deeks said sympathetically as he knelt to unbuckle the walking boot and toss it aside. "Just one more minute, okay?" He quickly wrapped her ankle in a softer bandage to give it some support during the night, but also so she didn't have to wear that big, chunky boot while she slept.

Once he had taped off the bandage, Kensi laid down and rolled over onto her stomach with a whimper.

"It hurts," she whimpered.

"I know," Deeks replied for the umpteenth time. He placed her ice pack on her bottom then slid into bed beside her, rubbing her back up and down. Kensi scooted closer to him. Deeks leaned over and brushed a strand of hair back behind her ear, then pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I love you."

Kensi smiled, eyes fluttering open to glance at him happily. "I love you too."

As always, I'll do some editing in the morning. Just wanted to get this put out.
