As I stared outside of the window, I could see the region shrinking every second. The Sky taxi service was well-received among Galar and allowed for easy access so Pokémon weren't worked as hard to carry trainers.
"So, this is your first time on the Isle of Armor?" The man up front who had been driving the helicopter asked me, without a single glance back at me.
"That's right! I'm glad to have been able to come, I've heard it's a beautiful place!"
"Oh, it is! I grew up here y'know, Here Pokémon can live peacefully with its several nature preserves. And say, that's a pretty rare Pokémon you've got there, you a trainer?"
"Oh no, nothing like that, I've never actually battled or caught a Pokémon before, Victini here came from an egg I got when I was five"
"Victini huh, Can't say I've heard of it"
"I haven't either, Guess that's what makes him special. Oh sorry pal, didn't mean to wake you up"
"I apologize too, but it looks like we're almost there, Hope y'all enjoy yourself, y'hear?"
"Loud and Clear!" I smiled. Even if I couldn't see his face, I could still tell he had been smiling.
"Good luck kid, Have fun!"
"Thanks, I will! bye!" I called out with a large wave, Victini following my actions with a slight time delay until a strangely dressed girl came up to use with a puffy white jacket and some sort of poison-themed jersey and shorts.
"Oh, there you are!" She called out as I silently pointed to myself with a confused glance. "Yes, you! You're the new member of the dojo, aren't you!"
"Dojo?" I asked "I don't remember joining a Dojo" She seemed to look away with a dark look on her face, beginning to mutter something about being mocked. It was difficult to hear her.
"How 'bout this, I'll battle you, and don't worry I'll be gentle...As I knock you out flat!"
"B-battle!? I've never even had a battle before, S-seriously you have the wrong person!"
"No getting out of this kid, and here's a warning, I'm quite strong! Scolipede! Come on out!" The large bug confronted us, with a mean glare scaring us both away, but backed against a cliffside. "Once I win, I'll just have to drag you there myself! Use Venom Shock!" The poison barely grazed me, burning and dissolving a part of my shirt within seconds.
"U-use V-Create!" I said without hesitation, tightly shutting my eyes as a loud thud emerged from the front. Barely peeking ahead, It seemed like I had somehow, won?"
"H-how, How could this be! You've never battled before...You must have lied to me! How dare you!" She said out loud before turning away and beginning to think as I saw a sudden change in mood "Good work! I was going easy on you, but It's still impressive that you won, Scolipede was weak from several battles beforehand. Unfortunately, you're maybe just not strong enough to join the Dojo, Have a look around the island, just stay away from the dojo over there, Kay? Bye!"
"Well...Bye, I guess? That was...interesting, are you okay, buddy?" I looked back at Victini who had been doing aerial tricks with its small wings, excited about its first victory "I guess the battle was exciting, short maybe... But let's take a look around, C'mon!" He happily smiled, Flying up to my shoulder and calmly sitting upon it with a merry hum.
As the man had told him, many Pokémon had been living peacefully for they had not been frightened by my presence, even so, a few had come close to me, nuzzling my knees with their faces.
"Oh hi there, It's nice to meet you!" One of them lightly bit on my hand to try and lead me somewhere as it seemed to be a Deerling gesturing towards the forest with a worried look"
"I got it, lead the way" While rushing after the Deerling, I had passed a building, I think it had been the Dojo I was previously told about, If it weren't for that strange girl outside of it, talking to another woman, I wouldn't have been able to tell. With wooden walls and stone pillars. An overwhelming feeling of strength that would just fill the skies. Regardless, my goal lied elsewhere, helping the skittish Deerling.
I could slightly hear the brief conversation they had, It was difficult to tell, but I had a feeling that it was about me.
"Isn't that the boy you said had changed their mind?"
"That's him, It's hard to miss him with the Pokémon and Green Hair."
"That is quite the unusual Pokémon, I'm sure I can convince him to join!"
"W-wait, I'm sure there's no need, after all I'm irresistible, if he declined me, he won't join because of you" She seemed flustered, trying her best to make sure she didn't come after me.
Once in the forest, I was finally taken to a Sawsbuck that had been lying around in pain, they seemed to have been lying in a bed made of leaves, grass, and moss as they began to stray away as much as they could before wincing in pain.
"Easy now, I don't want to hurt you, I want to help you however I can. Can you show me where it hurts?" I asked before it gestured towards its front knee, burnt by a poison type attack no less, it didn't seem to poison them, but the area near the attack was had been withered by the poison. "Stay still, I'm going to help you" I glanced back and forth, hoping there hadn't been anyone watching. I was born odd compared to most others, with a natural ability to heal People and Pokemon I had held my hands over Sawsbuck's knee, a green energy came from my hands and hair, giving a mystical aura in the small area which began to dissolve the poison and brought life back to its leg. Almost instantly Sawsbuck got up, licking my face before nuzzling my face "H-hey, calm down!" I called out before falling on my back "That tickles!"
"Hellooo, is anyone there? Are you sure he went this way?" I heard an old man before hearing a chuckle as I continued to laugh. "Oh, playing with the Pokemon are we?" He seemed oddly interested in Sawsbuck as I got in his way to protect them
"I won't let you try and hurt Sawsbuck!" I said with my arms out wide while Victini did the same.
"Oh? You're a brave spirit. But I'm not here to hurt anyone, I've come to ask for you to join our dojo"
"Are you sure I'm fit to join?" I asked, looking rather confused.
"Well, Between the two of us, That Sawbuck doesn't trust any humans, But it seemed to play with you, I don't think that's a bad sign at all. What's your name?"
"My name? I'm Nature, but you can just call me Viridi"
"Nature? Quite the odd name isn't it"
"Well, It tends to run in the family, Viridi is supposedly the goddess of Nature from a video game, It works as a name for boys and girls"
"I see, From Kid Icarus, isn't it?"
"I think so"
"Well, Why don't we head back to the dojo and we'll get you a uniform"
"W-wait, but I'm not a trainer!"
"That's okay, It isn't just training Pokémon, It's training you too"
"B-but seriously, I've only had a single battle in my life and it was just an accident!"
"Oh don't you worry about it one bit, Like I said, not all training revolves around Pokémon"
"W-well, I guess I could try, What do you think, Victini?"
Victini seemed ecstatic as it began flying loops around me with a happy cheer, I could tell that he wanted to try it before lifting up my hat and wearing it like he was a Pokémon Trainer.
"We'll do it!"
"Glad to hear it, We'll be glad to have you, And Victini is a strong Pokémon, I'm sure you'll be able to Inspire Klara into a whole new level of Musterdy!"
"Excuse me?"
"Oh don't mind me, Just a little thing I do" He chuckled a bit "I'm sure you'll fit in quite alright, Come along now"
"Right!"
Once inside the Dojo, It seemed like I was one of the youngest ones there, another one who had been around the same age but they didn't look like they had actually been a part of the Dojo.
"Y-you're that kid!" It was that strange girl from earlier who previously attacked me before forcing a smile "I'm so glad you changed your mind!" She spoke through gritting her teeth as I played along fearfully.
"O-oh yeah, I-I think it'll be fun"
"Oh, so you've already met, Good. Everyone I'd like you to meet, Er... did you prefer Nature or Viridi?"
"Well, my real name is Nature, Viridi is just a nickname I use instead"
"Very well, Let's get Viridi a friendly welcome!"
Everyone began to say hello to me, With different accents from across the room. Everyone seemed nice, well almost everyone. I don't think I'll have too much trouble...I hope.
"It's pretty late now, I think I'm the only one awake...so far It's been weird without you being here with me, And I haven't seen Dad in a while either, I wonder where he went, so if you've seen him, Tell him I said hi. I should be heading to ber, Victini's already asleep too. I can't wait to see you again. Signed, Nature Viridi Gropius... Oh PS, I ended up joining a Dojo, Not entirely sure how, They think I wanted to but truthfully, I have no idea what they were talking about. And don't worry, I've brushed my teeth and ate my vegetables, honestly, you're so Predictable" I wrote onto a piece of paper before yawning and sealing it inside an envelope and putting it in the mail to be delivered soon.
