The bed frame creaked as you flopped down onto the comfy mattress, after such a long day full of work your eyes were tired and you wanted nothing more then to fall into a deep sleep. You were just retiring from the Anbu, you hadn't realised that action what create so much paperwork, you'd spent all day in the Hokage's office dealing with said paper work and frankly you'd had enough of today.

You let out a long exhausted sigh, accepting that fact that you had to get up and shower and have dinner before falling to sleep. Another sigh came before you finally pulling yourself up from the bed and forced your tired legs to take you to the bathroom. Although it took a lot effort to get there, you'd decided the long relaxing shower was totally worth it.

You hoped out of the shower and dressed in your pyjamas and were reaching for your fluffy robe when you heard a gentle knock at your front door. With a small 'ugh' you dragged yourself over to the door and slowly opening it, not bothering to hide your annoyed expression. Said expression was whipped from your face once you saw who stood in your doorway. Your eyes widened and you took a small step back as your eyes landed on the sixth Hokage. Kakashi Hatake.

The Hokage held a lazy hand in the air as a way of greeting paired with a gentle closed eye smile. You had to admit to yourself, he looked much more appealing without his hitai-ate hiding one of his eyes, other then that he looked no different to his usual self, the old Kakashi you knew.

"Lord sixth," you said, offering a bow of your head to older man. Kakashi put his hands up in a playful defence, once again insisting you don't call him that.

"Can I help you with something?" You asked only seconds before noticing a slight pink of the mans cheek as he turned his gaze away from you. Suddenly you became all to aware of your current state, standing exposed to the Hokage of all people in nothing but your pyjamas, and it was the middle of summer so they were your most revealing pair to keep you cool in the heat.

You casually crossed your arms over yourself in an effort to hide from him. A low cut, revealing, silk black top the stopped right at your belly button with thin straps and a small pair of black short the barley covered your behind, that hung low off your hips and decorated with constellations, certainly wasn't appropriate attire to be addressing the Hokage in.

"Sorry to intrude, but since your place is on the way I figured I'd stop by on my way home to drop this off," he said after clearing his throat. He pulled out a white and red book out from his pocket and handed it over, you took the book from him as realisation settled in. "You left it on my desk earlier today while we were dealing with your paperwork."

"Oh, sorry about that sir. Thank you so much for bringing it back to me," you said, clutching the book to your chest and offering the Hokage a grateful smile. It was the second book in your new favourite series and you really wanted to finish it and get onto the next one.

"Not a problem at all, believe me I understand the panic of misplacing a book, have a good night Y/N." The silver haired man gave a slight nod and a smile as you said goodnight to him and he turned away. You were just about the close your apartment door when you heard him speak again.

"Oh before I leave, can I ask you something?"

"Of course sir," you answered, a little to quickly for your taste.

"That book, I've seen it around recently," he paused as he gestured to the book in your arms. "Is it any good? Worth a read?" Your eyes brightened as you registered his questions, you had to physically bite back a squeal of excitement before speaking.

"It's amazing, my new favourite series," you said, grinning wildly at the man, "this is actually the second book in the series, I'd really recommend it if your looking for something new to read Lord Hokage. It really is an amazing piece of work, the way the author writes is perfectly descriptive and focused, the story itself is super interesting and complex, all the characters are so well written and the representation is incredible and..." you paused mid sentence noticing the Hokage's raised eyebrows and small smirk behind his mask.

"Sorry," you said awkwardly, rubbing the back of your neck in embarrassment, "I didn't mean to ramble," you chuckled nervously.

"That's okay," he said, "believe me I understand. It's great to see someone else so passionate about books and reading." He threw up a hand in a lazy wave as he turned toward the stairs, as your apartment was on the second floor he'd have to make his was down. He got down about four steps before speaking again, you hadn't yet moved from your position outside your door, still kicking yourself for rambling on like that.

"Perhaps we can chat more about it sometime," he suggested, then disappeared a moment later.
