The year is 3471. For centuries, Mew and Mewtwo have stayed away from each other, feeling that it would be better for both of them due to Mewtwo being a clone of Mew, and them never seeing eye to eye. However, a year ago, Mewtwo was captured by an evil organization known as Team Genesis, a team hell-bent on creating a new world order, by killing Mew and making Humans reign supreme over Pokemon once and for all. As Mewtwo struggled to escape from their grasp, they managed to embed a mind control crystal into Mewtwo's head, rendering it completely under their control indefinitely, only destroying the crystal would free Mewtwo from its internal prison, but it would also be killed in the process. After a short while prepping it, Team Genesis instructed Mewtwo to retrieve its Mythical counterpart and managed to succeed in its mission. Arceus, being the God of all Pokemon, and the supposed creator of Mew, attempted to intervene, however was overpowered by Mewtwo, thanks to the power boost the crystal gave it.

That's where I come in. My name is Aura, formally known as Auran Juniper, and at the time I "worked" for Team Genesis, as a captive scientist. I helped make the very machine they planned to use to kill Mew, and for that, I felt I could never make up for it, and simply hoped that one day, I'd be able to forgive myself, as Mew has since done for me. When Mewtwo brought Mew back to their base, I witnessed Arceus' defeat, and looked horrified as Team Genesis simply… Even now I can't bear to bring it up, several decades later. I knew I had to do something there and then, always having loved Pokemon, and never having got on with other Humans for... personal reasons, I hope to be able to tell some time in the future.

That night, after they had begun preparations to strap Mew into the machine, I managed to sneak behind the workers and knock each of them out one by one, slowly making my way to Mew. After around five minutes of trying, I managed to free Mew from his chains, which had the ability to negate all of Mew's powers, and told him to run. Mew, at that moment, had told me that what I had done for it was unexpectedly kind, and he thanked me greatly for it, asking why I was there. After hearing my story, he felt not anger, but pity on me, and offered to free me from their grasp. I wasn't stupid, even if I hadn't forgiven myself, I knew that staying behind was a bad idea, as it meant that I could do more evil later on, which I wanted to avoid.

A few days later, I was still with Mew, telling him about my past, and how much I had admired Pokemon from day one, but before I could tell him why I hated Humans, Mewtwo found us. A short battle ensued, me helping Mew in every way I could, but it was hopeless. Mewtwo managed to defeat Mew with ease and went to collect his prize, but before he could, I pulled out a flash grenade and blinded Mewtwo with it, allowing me to retrieve Mew and escape into the forest. For days, I ran, allowing Mew to gain enough strength to teleport us away, to a completely different region, Unova. Given how well my prior last name was known in Unova, you're likely questioning where I was and why I was there instead of in Unova, but it's simple. While I was born and raised in Unova, I had moved to Kanto a year before I was captured, since I no longer wanted to be around Humans, especially my family.

I managed to get Mew to a safe place near my old home, and while I was not looking forward to my return, I needed to ask my mom, Professor Glacia Juniper, to help me in protecting Mew. After months of preparation, Mewtwo finally found us once more. Team Genesis had joined Mewtwo for this next inevitable fight, opting to back it up in case things somehow got out of hand. However, we were ready for them. Mew had recovered enough to have a full-on rematch with Mewtwo, but this time, he had an army of Pokemon to back him up. Team Genesis had managed to team up with Team Plasma, and together they managed to convince most of the people in the region that Mew had been corrupted by the long since forgotten Team Necrosis. The fight that ensued was not pretty, and it lasted well into the following week, both sides taking heavy losses, and Mew coming close to death at one point, but we kept pushing, as I kept doing what I could by healing any wounded Pokemon I could, even bringing several back from the brink of death. We were eventually able to push Team Genesis back into a retreat, but we knew that if we didn't press our advantage, they'd regroup and all our efforts would be fruitless.

Traveling to Kanto once more, Mew had asked several legendaries for assistance in taking them down once and for all, if not to help keep Mew safe, then at the very least to avenge Arceus. Two hours into the final push, it looked like our team was able to defeat Mewtwo and Team Genesis for good, but we were gravely mistaken. Mew was with Reshiram, Articuno, and Suicune, as Mewtwo showed its face one last time, aiming a lethal Shadow Ball directly where Mew's heart rested. Having felt like I had done barely anything throughout the mini-war, I knew this was my chance to not only save Mew, but also atone for at least some of my sins. I jumped in front of the Shadow Ball, as it pierced my heart, and I blacked out. I had no idea what happened after that, until a few years later, but needless to say, I survived… At least to some extent. This is where my story truly begins, having saved Mew, and being given a second chance.
