Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Overly Cautious Hero. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own OCH, Light and a few others do.

out of all the deities in the world? Being the water god was annoying…. Granted? It meant being quite powerful as you controlled such things as your very surroundings… But it also meant being seen as very plain.

Calder was quite annoyed at the moment. He looked at the water while waving his fingers, he couldn't fathom why he continued to play with the water at the moment.

Then again? He was quite bored at the moment and shook his head to the side. Calder sighed; this was becoming just too uninteresting at the moment.

"Oy… What exactly if there to do?" Calder asked aloud while shaking his head.

Oh, he knew there were people stronger then him… And he enjoyed that. being complacent, meant letting your guard down, it meant you were becoming lazy, least in his book… And even if he was somewhat lazy? He didn't want to be seen as complacent when it came down to it.

"Ow…" Calder muttered as he lost concentration at the moment and allowed water to fall. He felt his head being drenched before he sighed. "Damn it, got too complacent." Calder added as he climbed to his feet.

He brought up his hands, pulling the water from his head for a moment. The water deity dropped it back into the lake in front of him.

"Ugh, well now… I'm doing what I just mentally scolded myself for." Calder said and hummed as he slowly looked around.

It was far too quiet. He hated quiet, it meant things were going to go wrong. Peace and quiet didn't last, things always kept moving even if someone didn't want them to.

However? That didn't mean you weren't allowed to enjoy the piece and quiet at the moment. It just meant to him that it wouldn't last. Good things like peace didn't last, people would always cause wars over differing ideals, different passions, ideologies.

Then again? Calder wasn't the goddess of war. He was however, curious in said goddess and why she was so seldom seen. It confused him, yet interested him.

The god of water interested in finding the goddess of war? It seemed so bemusing to him, yet he couldn't fathom not entertaining the idea. It stopped him from thinking too deeply about stupid methods.

Well stupider methods of using his powers. One would believe being the deity that could control the oceans was such an awesome power… It was not, far from it as gods and goddesses were so powerful when it came down to it.

"Ugh, I'm still getting a headache." Calder stated while he manipulated the water. "I'm going down and finding her or the next thing I do? Will probably be something idiotic like water swans or something." Calder said before he turned and began his trek down the mountain.

He dropped the water into the lake and cracked his fingers once more. Using his powers took a lot of concentration and it usually caused his mind to strain. One couldn't simply lift oceans without it causing some amount of strain on his mind. Calder doubted many people knew the downside to his powers.

Then again? Being a god tended to balance that out, even if people knew there was stronger deities, then him… Much stronger.

"Maybe I'll met one of those other gods sooner or later." Calder stated to himself while rubbing at his fingers. "Ow, I feel like a stampede hit me." Calder stated as he shook his head.

Calder continued his trek down the mountain where he rested. Calder was starting to ask himself why someone like him, someone who didn't like the peace and quiet… Picked a mountain, the furthest thing from peace and quiet at the moment.

"This is going to be a long day." Calder said as he turned to look at a stream leading from the lake.

He smiled to himself as he walked towards it. At the very least? He'd have a fast way down the mountain. It would give him something to laugh about at the end of the day.

Calder slowly walked into the water and lifted his hands to manipulate it once more. It gave him another time to use his powers again.
