One shot about the sinking of the Titanic. Got the idea from Distant Waves by beautiwind.
Annabeth's POV (point of view)
I gasped. I could hear nothing but cracking and women and children crying and men nearly in tears, too. My name is Ms. Annabeth Fredrick Chase. I had gone to England for a short leisurely vacation and had decided to book a fancy ride back home. I was in my cabin, scared. I think I know what is happening. I pack a small purse with my money, passport, sweater, a bottle of water and some peanuts. A steward burst into my room. He said 'here Honey, take this life vest and go out onto the deck. I want you to see your Mama and Papa again.' His eyes teared up. I knew he wanted his children to see their Papa again. I understood, unlike many young ladies my age. I fought and fought to let my Papa and Mama let me go on my own. They had insisted that I bring my older brother Malcolm along. I had said no, and here I was on my own. About to die on my own. I smiled supportively. 'We'll all survive, you'll see.' I said. Oh, how I wanted to believe it. I ran onto the deck. Women and children were being lowered into the life boats. I looked. Beside were two ladies and four men. One of the ladies had Maghoney hair and kaleidoscopic eyes. The other had golden hair and hazel eyes. The tallest boy had blonde hair and blue eyes. The second tallest had black hair and green eyes then black hair and brown eyes and the shortest had brown hair and brown eyes. What we didn't notice is that the life boats were vanishing. Rapidly vanishing.
Soon the ship broke apart. We all fell into the dark dark dark dark sea in the dark dark dark dark night. It hurt. Oh, how it hurt! My leg did. Water feels like cement from a height, remember that. The others got hurt too but just bruises. I think at that point, I fainted. At the weirdness and sadness of it all. At long last I woke up. My head was held by the ladies. The boys were examining my leg. Oh, how I hate being a damsel in distress. I got to know their names. Percy said that my leg was at a weird angle and he thought it was broken. Frank smiled. I had not even noticed that he had a bag. Inside was a plaster roll, a few jackets, antiseptic cream and food ration for about a week. I smiled. We might have a shot at surviving after all. We huddled close. I explained why I was on the ship. Frank and Hazel were for the same reason as i. Percy was a sea trader. Piper a fashion designer for ladies going to an exhibition. Jason was a pilot thinking he needed a break. We laughed and sang the whole night to keep ourselves warm. I, Piper and Hazel were the only ones with a life jacket. Frank said the reason he wasn't given a life jacket might have been because he is so fat. That is one of the things we laughed at, for a long time too. I think I slept then. The sea was very, very cold but not so much being huddled between new-found friends. Soon I woke up. I could hear and see a ship. We waved and shouted like mad. The ship saw us and picked us up. We were saved by the Carpathia.
I soon saw myself in a ship with blankets over me. The memories of the recent events washed over me. I threw of the sheets looking for my friends. It was not easy considering other people were looking for their family too. I finally saw Piper and Hazel fussing over Jason and Frank respectively. A beautiful girl with Carmel hair and almond eyes was fussing over Leo. I took it as my duty to fuss over Percy.
It has been years since the accident. Me and Percy are happily married. We have two children together. This is my dream life
