Daisy is not your average Los Angeles S.W.A.T. officer. She were originally from New York and a fourth generation cop. She were rocking her dark brown hair just like her father, his father and so on. What set her apart from the rest of her family, apart from being the only girl, were her blue eyes and her young age. People often got lost in her ocean blue eyes. The only family member who had similar eyes were her grandmothers sister, who had died before Daisy were born.

She were the first female in her family to become a police officer. The rest were either school teachers or office workers. Her brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather had all worked for the same department in New York. Being her usual quirky self she decided to follow in their footsteps. The journey were never easy as the inequality of genders still were an issue. Especially in the police department which were mainly filled with testosterone. Her father and her brother were the only ones who stood up for her and helped her through the academy and the first year as a beat cop. Her brother, Elijah, always told her "things might be difficult right now, but you are a part of the revolution to make other peoples lives better. Chin up, jellybean, you're doing great". She always remembered that when times were tough.

Just after Daisy turned 24 her brother volunteered to help out with the security at an event for the LGBTQ+ community. Sadly a group of narrow minded men with guns decided to shoot up the place. Daisy were nearby when the call of an officer down came in over the radio and she dropped everything to get to her brother. He had used himself as a shield to protect two teenage girls. By the time Daisy had reached her brother it was too late. His dying words were "Jellybean, go make the world a better place."

The Evans all mourned the loss of the young man, some more than others. Daisy took it extra hard as the two siblings used to be inseparable even though Elijah were a few years older than her. He always had her under his wings at school, at parties and when she joined the New York Police Department. She had supported him at every single ice hockey game and been his shoulder to cry on whenever a girl had dumped him. Daisy took a few weeks off of work to clear her mind.

A few months after the Evans had found their usual routine of chores, work and free time a bomb went off. Daisy's father who had transferred to an elite unit within the police department were put on the case. Seven more bombs exploded. Sadly the sixth bomb had killed eleven officers, including Evans senior. The loss of her father made Daisy motivated beyond belief to catch the group behind the attacks. She worked every possible hour for four days before catching the group of men who were called terrorists for their actions.

To make everything worse Daisy's mother suffered a heart attack the day her father were buried. Losing the love of her life were too much for the grieving woman to handle. Shortly after she joined her husband and son. The only living Evans left were Daisy and she felt the pressure. She felt the eyes burning into her soul as she walked the halls of NYPD. Eventually it were too much and she packed all of her belongings, sold the house and moved as far away as she could. She had requested to be transferred to the city of angels. A place her father used to dream about and that wish were granted.

After somewhat settling in Daisy set up a routine of walking each day. It kept her active and her mind occupied. Every other day she saw the same man walking his dog, a golden retriever who seemed well trained. He kept calling it Duke and good boy, which made her smile. It reminded her of her brother whenever he saw an animal. One day the man introduced himself to Daisy. "Hi, I'm Luca. I've seen you around a lot lately. You just moved here?" he asked with a smile. "May I?" she asked gesturing to petting the dog. He nodded and smiled even more. "Hey Duke, how you doing today?" she said sweetly. Luca ran his hand through his dirty blonde hair and asked: "How do you know his name?". Daisy laughed and stood up to shake his hand. "I'm Daisy, I work at the police department," she said. "And I've seen and heard you walking Duke before. He is a good dog, well trained," she added. They fell into small talk and continued their walk together. They shared a similar childhood with third/fourth generation law enforcement officers and quickly bonded.

Daisy were used to being the cop on the street from New York, but after a few months in L.A she became restless. Her superior suggested joining the S.W.A.T. academy, but she were hesitant as she knew Luca would be there. She did not want to impose and lose the only friend she had in the city. After a few more months of restlessness, Luca finally asked what were bothering her. She immediately spilled out the suggestion and covered her mouth wishing she had not said a thing. He laughed at her reaction while telling her that it was a great idea. He promised to not let it get in the way of their friendship as he enjoyed her company. It obviously made her blush, but she brushed it off.

Daisy began to train harder than ever before and pushed her limits further than she could had ever imagined. She became a beast, a master shooter, the fastest of the recruits and a personal favourite amongst the majority of trainers. One of them so happened to be Luca which he ensured would not be a problem and that he would never favour her just because they were good friends. She were polite and sweet to everyone. Her only weakness were struggling to say no. That she had from her mother. Whenever someone asked her to count bullets, do paperwork and train with them she would just smile and say "of course". It took its toll on her, but she wanted to prove that she was worth the title of being a S.W.A.T. agent. Luca had thought her that blowing off steam could be done by punching the bag in the gym area of the S.W.A.T. headquarters and she had gladly followed the advice.

The leader of 20-David, sergeant Daniel Harrelson, had even dropped by to ensure that his beloved punching bag survived a session with Daisy. He were positively surprised by her strength and growing passion for the job opportunity. The entire team had made a bet of who were to get the spot on the team. The majority were voting for Daisy which made her even more motivated.

"Does she ever quit?" Street asked Luca who were timing Daisy's shooting test. It were her final test. "Nah, man. She's a beast," Luca replied with a giant smile on his face. "She'll be one of us. I'm sure of it," he continued. Once the score board were uploaded there were no doubt that she had proved her worth. She were the top recruit and most of her 'former' competition had already congratulated her for getting the last spot on the team. "It's not official until the commander says so. I don't want to jinx anything," she said. Robert Hicks, the commander, walked by in the same second in his usual suit and tie.
"You don't have to worry about jinxing anything miss Evans. You're in," Hicks said handing her a stack of papers. "I'll see you in my office at 2," he said as he walked away. Daisy were over the moon and thanked Luca for supporting her throughout the tryouts. "I believed in you from day one!" He said giving her a high five. He put his arm around her shoulder as he dragged her along with him to meet the rest of his team.

"20- David gather around and meet our new member, Daisy Evans!" Luca yelled as he walked into the locker room. The others had just arrived and were packing their civilian clothes and bags into the lockers. Hondo were the first to congratulate her. He shook her hand, but then pulled her in for a hug, "welcome to the family, Daisy."
Chris fist bumped her while smiling from ear to ear. The two girls had bonded over their love for equality and dogs. Deacon congratulated her as well, but a guy were quietly standing in the corner looking down at his feet. "Yo Street, come on man. I know you lost the bet, but be a good sportsman and congratulate the young lady on her victory!" Hondo said laughing while slapping his teammate on the shoulder. "Ah, so you are the one who did not vote for me. You must be Jim Street," Daisy said with a grin on her face. She tucked her braids onto her back and went over to shake his hand. Jim did something no one had expected. He pulled her into a hug and whispered: "I did vote for you, I just didn't tell the others."
