I knew I said I love Troyella, but come on, Troypay is cute too!
My first Troypay fic!
The Nice Princess
Sharpay smiled into the living room as she walked to the front door. She saw Ryan cuddling with his boyfriend Zeke Baylor. Sharpay used to date Zeke, but when she found out Ryan likes him, she helped them get together.
She's a good sister.
Actually, Sharpay is nicer than what people give her credit for. She just covers up all that nice with spice. She has to remind all the girls at East High who's boss and look fabulous while doing so. And that is not easy.
"Hey Shar!" Ryan said. "Zeke and I were about to head to the park with Troy, Gabriella, Chad, Taylor, Jason, Martha, Kelsi and Keith! Do you want to come?"
Sharpay shrugged. "Sure. I'll go get Boi dressed up in his evening wear." She looked at the clock. "I'll meet you guys there though."
"Alright." Zeke said, standing up. "Let's go."
Ryan stood up too, and Zeke spun him with a smile. Ryan laughed and grabbed his hand. Every time they are cute like this, it's reminds Sharpay that she is nice too. She has a heart.
After picking out a adorable outfit for Boi Evans, Sharpay headed out in her convertible.
At the Park...
Sharpay hopped out the car carrying Boi in her left hand. She saw everybody sitting under a tree and talking. "Hey Sharpay!" Ryan said when she saw her.
Sharpay smiled and sat down under the tree. "Hey everyone, how's it going?" She said, making herself sound annoyed, her usual tone.
"I don't know about that..." Taylor said, pointing forward.
Sharpay looked at what she was pointing at, Troy and Gabriella arguing under a tree. "What's going on with them?" Sharpay asked her.
"They've been going back and forth like this for weeks now." Taylor told her.
Chad nodded and put his arm around Tay. "I don't know what it's about, but they have been really angry at each other." He explained. "I think they might even break up."
"Don't say that!" Martha Cox yelled. "Troy and Gabriella are the East High power couple!"
Jason shrugged. "My dad said the same thing about him and my mom, but they got divorced. Everything changes."
"That's true." Ryan agreed. "Zeke and Sharpay were together, but now look, Zeke is all mine."
Everybody laughed, and it calmed down the few who were worried.
"You know what Troy?!" Gabriella yelled, making everybody stop laughing and turn to see what's going on. "It's over! Maybe you should go find a girl who agrees with you if this thing keeps going on!"
"But Gabriella!" Troy said. "We can't break up! We're-"
"I don't wanna hear it!" Gabriella said. "I meant what I said. People change. And you changed." She walked to her car. "Goodbye Troy." Whoever was in the front seat drove away slowly.
"What the heck?" Kelsi said when the car was out of view. "Did that really just happen?"
"Yeah..." Her boyfriend Keith said. "That really did just happen."
"Mmmph. So much for power couple." Jason said.
"Well, since they're not together... Troy Bolton is single again." Martha concluded. "Every girl is going to be happy to hear that."
"Poor Troy though!" Taylor exclaimed. "I don't think he did anything wrong. Gabi snapped at me the other day for no reason too."
"Maybe it's just a phase." Ryan guessed. "How often does she get all over dramatic on Troy?"
"At least once, but that argument was pretty heated." Taylor replied.
"Troy could've done something we don't know about." Zeke pointed out. "Or Gabriella could have."
"True." Kelsi said. "But what would they have done to make each other that mad?"
Sharpay stood up. "I'll go talk to him." She said. "Maybe he'll want to talk."
"Yeah but to you? I don't think so. No offense." Chad said.
Sharpay gave him a 'That is offensive' look and rolled her eyes. "Does someone else want to talk to him about it?" Nobody raised their hand. "Exactly." Sharpay walked to the tree Troy was sitting under and sat next to him. "Hey."
"I'm not in the mood right now." Troy snapped.
"Hey, I'm not here to flirt with you, I'm here to see if you're ok." Sharpay clarified. "We all saw what just happened between you and Gabriella, and we're all worried, see?" She pointed over to where everybody was sitting, and all of them were looking at Troy. When Troy looked, they looked away like they were doing something else.
"Tell them I'm ok." Troy said, standing up. "I'm going home."
Sharpay stood too. "But Troy, we're all worried about you." She explained. "Are you sure you're alright."
"I'm fine, It's just..." Troy sighed and put his head down. "I made reservations for a restaurant the other day, and it's tomorrow. I can't believe I have to cancel. I've been trying to go there for months."
"Take somebody else." Sharpay said. "Anybody would love to go to a restaurant with you. Or..." She smiled. "I'll go with you."
Troy shook his head. "Sharpay, I-"
"As friends." Sharpay added.
He thought about it for a moment and smiled. "Ok." He said.
They shared a smiled.
Sharpay walked back to everybody. "So is he ok?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah." Sharpay informed her. "I'm going to a restaurant with him."
Chad arched his eyebrows at her. "This better not be another one of your sorry attempts to get with Troy again."
"No, It's not!" Sharpay hissed. "That would be low."
"Since when do you care about other people's feelings?" Martha laughed.
Sharpay rolled her eyes, but on the inside, she was hurt. Why don't people see her soft side? She's used to being the bad guy who never got her way, but the role she had was starting to get old. She wanted to change. She needed to change.
