The sunset was indescribable. Olivia's words won't do it justice, but she will give it a try anyways. She could see the sun behind the silhouettes of the snowy peaks of the mountains, and the orange hues reflected off the calm ripples in the lake below... It was perfect.

The Half-Human/Half Dragon Knight took a step back to fully take in the scene. On either side of the narrow cove were breathtaking shorelines. Birds chirped and happily searched for prey in the shallow water, she could see some of them pushing river rocks about in an attempt to catch whatever tried to hide underneath. The trees rustled as the breeze blew softly through their leaves, the sunlight shining through exposing colors of green and orange of all shades.

Nearby she noticed a deer calmly grazing in a small patch of grass near a fallen tree. A perfect place to relax, if you had asked her. Flowers of seemingly endless types and colors surrounded the log, making this scene even more unreal. The blues, pinks and purples against the fur of the peaceful animal made the entire scene feel like nothing she'd seen before.

In the distance, the water was almost completely still. Only on occasion would a ripple appear out of nowhere. The fish were alive and active under the surface, the only proof of life being the ripples in the surface. The sun continued to go down as Limara examined the mountains above the water more closely. She could see hints of rock exposed among the blankets of snow. Trees of all shades speckled the scene, adding to the beauty.

The sky was crystal clear and soft shades of purples and light blues, and the sun was emanating vivid shades of red and orange. The entire landscape felt like it was straight from a movie, like it was too perfect to be real.

Olivia had been in the Nishram Valley, dealing with rampaging Ogres and a group of bandits who were terrorizing a nearby fishing village, once the disturbances were dealt with the exhausted Knight began the long, arduous journey home to Televaria.

A lone figure dressed in rags and broken manacles was running for her life in an attempt to escape her ruthless captor who worked for her Master, Vulwin Yllahana. The bloody and battered Human woman had been running for what seemed like hours, every muscle in her body cried out to her for relief. Then, the worst possible thing happened: She fell and twisted her left ankle.

The Human woman, Melinda Warner clutched at her injured leg sobbing in immense pain. The burly man who had been chasing her was finally able to catch up to the injured Human, slowly he unfurled a menacing looking bullwhip he'd taken off his waist and began striking the defenseless woman without mercy.

Many of Televaria's citizens are shocked by the brutal attack taking place right in front of them, some want to help Melinda, but they are too afraid to act.

"Hold your whip, you vile man!" a woman's booming, commanding voice said aloud, drawing everyone's attention.

Riding on her horse, still adorned in her red armor was Olivia. She is wearing a look of anger on her face.

"It's her, the Crimson Mage Knight." someone whispers, the man looks at Olivia, studying her face closely before dropping the whip in fear.

"It is you." the man says before turning and running away.

Olivia hops down from her horse and walks over to Melinda and pulls her to her feet.

"Are you harmed aside from what he did to you?"

"N-no, I am not hurt other than from the whip." Melinda says in a shaky voice.

"Why was that man after you?"

Melinda sighed, "I was taken from my home. I was sold into servitude and I was sent to serve Marco Powell, my new Master."

"And I gather that your former Master treated you poorly." Olivia said more than asked.

Melinda nodded as tears formed in her dark eyes.

"Come with me, I will treat your injuries." Olivia said.

Melinda followed the Knight wordlessly as the people began murmuring about what had happened.

Olivia took Melinda to her home and began using her Blood Healing Art on her which healed all of the Human's wound's, but comes at a high cost for Olivia, as the spell requires a large amount of Olivia's blood to preform.

Olivia felt a pleasant warmth at her back and someone's arms around her waist, she was about to reach for a dagger when she remembered the Human woman she'd rescued yesterday. As a wave of serenity set in for the half-dragon as she listened to the cute snoring sounds coming from her guest.

Olivia chuckled lightly to herself before getting out of bed and starting her day.

Marco Powell, the King of the Osai Province in the west is furious because of Melinda's escape,

The King's wife, Queen Lilian is just as upset as her Husband and hands down severe punishments to everyone who allowed Melinda to get away.

Olivia had left the village for some work, when she returned Olivia found Melinda in her kitchen making dinner, Olivia could smell the familiar odor of roasted Rothe, Dula potatoes, and Sisyita to drink.

Feeling someone's eyes on her, Melinda turned around and tripped and fell forward. Thankfully, Olivia was able to catch her.

"Are you all right?" Olivia asked.

"Yes, forgive my clumsiness, My Lady." Melinda said dejectedly.

"It's all right, I am Olivia Benson."

"I am Melinda Warner, I thank you for your heroism, Lady Olivia."

Olivia pulls Melinda closer to her, making the ebony woman gasp in surprise.

"You needn't fear me, Melinda." Olivia says gently.

"I knew that you'd want some food when you returned, so I prepared some for you, I hope you don't mind." Melinda said, a little worried.

Olivia looked at the food set out before her and then back at Melinda and smiled warmly at her.

"Thank you, Melinda. It has been quite some time since I enjoyed a home-cooked meal." the Knight replied.

Olivia invited Melinda to join her, the ebony Human was hesitant at first, but the sound of her stomach growling loudly betrayed her and she joined Olivia and ate the food she had just prepared.

Melinda told Olivia everything that Marco Powell and his Wife, Lady Lilian had done to her, which were many twisted and depraved things and because of those things Melinda was forbidden from returning to her home village of Shadowwind because if she did Melinda would face execution.

"Worry not Melinda, for I will protect you with every bit of my ability." Olivia says with conviction.

"Ha, you intend to protect a Human, Does Father know of this?" a voice says,

"No, he does not, but I gather he will very soon." Olivia replies.

"That, he will dear Half-Sister." Alexandra Benson, Princess of Televaria says smugly.

Later...

Olivia and Melinda are led into the Throne Room before King Theodore and Queen Tatiana.
