Okay I have to putt this note here so everyone is not confused in the next chapter if you decide to read this. So this is an AU in the modern world(2020-) because why not. I've made a few adjustments on we're the school is located so instead of Scotland it's now around the area Oxford is in.
Next, when looking at the characters I know that's confusing seeing as there are first years that are 16 and 17 and third years that are 19 and 18. So to explain that, some students may have taken a gap year before they went to college. Or they have been held back.
A gap year, if you don't know, is when you finish high school and instead of going straight to college you take a year off to either get a job and save up money or do anything really.Both my brother and sister have taken gap years so yeah that is why it's like that. And, yes, Padma and Parvati are still twins, Parvati just took a gap year or two.
Now I'm not very familiar with schooling in the UK (I live in Canada) but I have done a bit of research.
Hogwarts Academy is five years of Academic schooling for everyone unless their specific job needs them to have more schooling. It's weird and probably really wrong but I need it to be that way for this book, which is probably going to be very long.
This is a Harry/Hermione fic with a lot of drama and angst and jealousy but there is also a lot of cute and fluffy moments. I write kissing scenes not sex scenes although sometimes it's heavily implied when a character has had sex. Sorry but writing that is just not my forte, but there are great make out scenes so stay tuned for that. This is non-canon (cue the drama and jealousy).

J.K. Rowling owns Harry Potter and all of the characters that are in the books. The characters you don't recognize are mine and the whole plot/storyline mostly is too. I'm mainly just using her characters.
This isn't the happiest book but it also doesn't revolve around everything I wrote up there. I want this to be a happy book but I also want to show some of the struggles my characters are going to go through that they might not have gone through in the magical world. If I think anything is really bad I'll put a trigger warning to let you know what lies ahead in the chapter as I don't want to trigger anyone.
Social media is apart of this story but I really don't do much except talk about it.
Sporadic updates! You might not get an update everyday or every week and I'm sorry but I will try my best to be semi consistent. I don't plan on abandoning this story and there will probably be a sequel for the last two years.
