Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon and I never will, but at least I can write fanfiction about it! :)
Author's Note: Here's my next long term Seiya/Usagi fanfiction! I hope you guys enjoy!
Summary: In an alternate universe, Seiya and Usagi do get together and Crystal Tokyo still exists. They end up having a child together, but what happens when this child gets sent to the universe where her parents didn't get together. Right when the Starlights come to Earth and her parents haven't met yet. What would happen? Her name is Mizuki Kou, and she's planning on getting her parents together even with obstacles in the way, no matter what it takes. Will she succeed? Only one way to find out!
P.S. Mizuki is a mix between both of her parents and has midnight blue hair like her dad and her mother's eyes and of course, her hair is styled like her mom's. :) Also her name, Mizuki, means moon, and I looked it up and Seiya's last name Kou means star, so it works out perfectly! Oh, and also she's fourteen.
Crystal Tokyo of the alternate universe…
"Princess Mizuki, you really must get up now, your parents are waiting for you in the throne room!"
There was movement coming from the bed along with a loud, annoying groan.
"Five more minutes, Allie!" the voice of a fourteen year old girl sounded from under the covers her warm and comforting bed. She wasn't interested in getting up at the moment, or any moment really, especially having to get up for whatever boring thing her parents had planned for her in the castle. This is what happens when you get your mother's bad sleeping habits.
Allie, Mizuki's maid, sighed heavily from the other side of the door. "Princess…I gave you five minutes…five minutes ago. It's really time to get up." She simply heard another loud groan coming from the other side of the door, making her give a heavy sigh. The princess could be so stubborn. She didn't know if Mizuki got that from the king or the queen, perhaps both. "Well, alright then." Allie relented. "If you're just going to be like that, I guess I won't make my famous pancakes, you enjoy so much."
She moved away from the door, and waited.
One. Two. Three.
As soon as she counted to three, the door flew open, and there was the princess, looking pretty disheveled, midnight black hair up in every direction. "Al! Don't say things like that!" Mizuki whined, stopping her foot.
"It got you out of bed, didn't it?" Allie asked calmly, not looking bothered by Mizuki's whining, which she probably wasn't. She has been in the family since Mizuki was just child after all.
Mizuki stared at her, mouth agape for a moment before buffing out her cheeks, then letting the air out in a frustrated huff. "Allie, that was cruel!" She pouted as she crossed her arms.
"Oh hush, child. It wasn't that bad." The older woman's lips were curled up into a smile though. Mizuki had always been amusing child and that hadn't changed since she was a toddler, giggling and tumbling around the gardens without a care in the world. It was easy to do here in Crystal Tokyo. It had been a tranquil place for many, many years, and it hadn't changed yet.
"Says you!" Mizuki grumbled, and turned around to head back into her room. "I guess I'll get dressed since I was rudely woken."
Allie shook her head at her charge's dramatics, following her inside. "You should have gotten up and gotten dressed earlier. Your parents have been waiting for quite a while."
"Well, what's so urgent they need me that bad?"
That was something Allie didn't know. The king and queen never gave her a reason to why they needed to see Mizuki, but it had to be important, of course.
"I don't know. They just said they needed to see you."
Mizuki frowned, turning her head towards Allie with bright, blue eyes holding worry in them. "Hopefully, it's nothing too bad. I mean, I haven't broken anything today, so that can't be it." She titled her head, "Or did I?" She thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Nah…"
"Well, only one way to find is get dressed and see what they want."
The black-haired teen nodded, and went do just that. Allie helped her with her hair though. It was so long like her mother's now and Mizuki kept it up in the signature style her mother and grandmother had. Only way to keep her unmanageable hair manageable.
Mizuki finished getting ready and headed out to the throne room where her parents were waiting for her. She was welcomed with the sight she usually got: her father teasing her mother relentlessly.
"Of course, your daughter had to get your tarriness." Seiya teased, and Usagi flared up immediately, smacking him in the shoulder, but it was in the most playful way possible.
"Oh, be quiet, she's your child too, if you don't remember?" Usagi huffed, glaring at him but there was no heat in her glare.
"Oh, I remember. I mean, she does have my good looks." Seiya grinned boastfully.
Usagi rolled her eyes. "Oh, you wish, my love." She told her husband dryly.
"What? That is what made you fall in love with me." Seiya pouted, putting a hand on his chest, and looking wounded.
"Oh yeeeah. That was it." Usagi bit back sarcastically.
"Still so mean to me." He pouted again as he shook his head, then smiled as he grabbed a hold of Usagi's hand and kissed the back of it. "Good thing I know you love me."
Usagi's face softened at him and let their hands connect together, squeezing it. "Of course, you baka."
He grinned.
Mizuki spent her time watching them, not interrupting with a smile on her face. Even with the duties her parents had, they always seemed to have fun together, but they could be serious too when they needed to be, especially with the people of Crystal Tokyo. They loved their people and their people loved them. Mizuki hoped to be that kind of ruler when she finally took the position, which hopefully didn't happen for a long time. She wanted to stay a kid as long as she could, without any cares in the world, and her parents wanted it to be that way too, especially her mother.
Her mother had been Mizuki's age when her world was changed by being told she was a sailor senshi by a talking cat named Luna, and she didn't want that for Mizuki, even though she didn't regret being a sailor senshi, not one bit. If it weren't because of that, her mother wouldn't have met her father, which would have been a shame indeed.
Seeing they still hadn't noticed her there, Mizuki cleared her throat to get her parent's attention.
"Oh, Mizuki, there you are." Usagi said, brightening up at the sight of her daughter.
"About time, kiddo." Seiya teased her. He had a bad habit of teasing his daughter just as much as his wife. "I was about to drag you out of bed myself. I should have known there was no way you'd get out of bed by yourself." His teasing riled his daughter up just as much as his wife.
It got the desired effect as Mizuki bristled at him. "Daaaad."
Seiya laughed. "Oh, you know, it's true. So, like your mother." His eyes glanced over at Usagi lovingly and making her blush as he leaned in and kissed her cheek softly.
Mizuki loved the fact they loved each other after all these years, but no teenager wanted to see their parents kissing, even if it was just a kiss on the cheek. "Ew…Mother. Father. Do you really have to do that in front of me?"
"Yep!" Seiya said cheerfully after pulling away from his wife.
Mizuki rolled her eyes, then decided to change the subject. She still wanted to know what she was here for.
"So…why did you want to see me?"
The question made them realize why their daughter was here. Mizuki shook her head as she smiled, amused. If only they hadn't been so busy flirting.
"Oh yes." Usagi cleared her throat. "The reason I asked you here is…it's about…the Silver Crystal."
Mizuki straightened up at attention. The Silver Crystal, the stone passed down from Queen Serenity to her mother. It protected Crystal Tokyo, the reason why the kingdom had been so peaceful.
"What about it?" Mizuki asked curiously.
"Well, as you know, my mother gave it to me when I was your age, to guard and protect it. To make sure it didn't get into wrong hands…and well…I think it's time to pass it on…to you…"
Mizuki was shocked, honestly. "But mother…"
"It's time, my love. It was only a matter of time the Silver Crystal was to be yours."
"But…but not now! I'm still too young for that commitment, mother. I'm not mature enough for it!"
Usagi gave a slight smile. "Neither was I, but I still had to do it, and now it's your turn. You're the only one who can do it."
Mizuki didn't know what to say.
"Mizuki." Seiya said gently. "I know this is unexpected. You don't have to answer right away. But your mother and I would appreciate it if you would just think about it. That's all."
"I…" Mizuki licked her lips and decided to just nod. No matter what she said, she would have to abide by her parents' wishes and think about it.
She didn't say anything else to them as she went back to her room.
Later that night, Mizuki rested in her bed, wide awake. She couldn't find sleep at all. Something which normally came so easy for her. Mizuki knew it was because she was stressed about what her and her parents talked about.
Her protecting the silver crystal as her mother and grandmother did before her.
Could she really do it? Could she really protect the crystal as well as the people before her? Mizuki doubted she could. Though she had some her mother's personality traits, she wasn't her mother and never would be. Never would be as elegant or as strong as her, even if she tried her very hardest to be. During the meeting, it took all her willpower to not scream out her refusal to accept the burden placed upon her. However, this was something she wouldn't be able to get out of, even though her parents told her to think about it.
But she knew, when she said yes, she was going to mess up and fail to protect the silver crystal.
Maybe…maybe if she didn't exist, the decision wouldn't have to be made. There had to be a way to do it. There had to be.
It was a stupid thing to think about, but it sounded so good in Mizuki's head…she didn't think of the consequences that could come with not existing.
Throwing off her covers, Mizuki crawled out of bed, dressed in her white flowy dressing gown. She tiptoed out of her room and kept walking until she made it to her destination.
She opened the door into the room where her parents said she couldn't go. The room which held the silver crystal. But her thought process was that her parents wanted her to protect it now, so she couldn't get in trouble for being in there.
There, in a glass case, was the Silver Crystal.
It was just as beautiful in person. Mizuki had never seen it this close up before and the beauty of it just took her breath away.
"Wow…" she breathed as she stepped closer to the glass case. The crystal shone brightly, the moonlight coming from the small window inside, and hitting it just right.
Mizuki was careful as she lifted up the case and set it off to the side. There was no alarm surprisingly, but she wasn't going to complain about it.
She took the silver crystal and held it in her hands, but then suddenly, it started hovering above her hands, glowing even brighter.
Mizuki stared in awe and closed her eyes as she could feel the power the crystal possessed. No wonder people wanted the silver crystal for themselves.
She could have backed out and she should have but of course, she didn't.
"Silver crystal…" Mizuki whispered, her eyes still closed. "Please…take me to a place where I don't exist…somewhere I don't have to carry the burden of protecting you…"
As soon as those words left her mouth, Mizuki felt the power of the crystal grow even stronger and she gasped as her eyes flew open.
A brilliant light filled the room, covering everything! And the silver crystal broke in her hands, sending the fragments of it flying.
"No!" Mizuki cried out, trying to grab the shards of the crystal. "What have I done?!"
"Mizuki!"
She whirled around to find her mother and father running towards her, looking horrified. Tears were streaming down her face.
"I'm so sorry!" Mizuki sobbed.
"Mizuki!" Usagi yelled her daughter's name again as she ran to try and grab her, but it was too late as the light enveloped Mizuki and her daughter disappeared. "NO!"
The blonde fell to her knees where her daughter had been, and Seiya ran to her, gathering her immediately into his arms.
Usagi buried her face into his chest. "Oh Seeeiya!" she cried. "Where did she go? Where did our daughter go?!"
Seiya tightened his grip on her. "I don't know…but wherever she is, I'm sure she's safe." His wife sobbed into his chest. As he held onto her, he looked at the place where the silver crystal once was.
Oh Mizuki, what have you done?

Chapter Two...
Eeee, new Seiya and Usagi story hot off the presses! I've been thinking about this plotline for a while. I thought it would be interesting to write about Seiya and Usagi having a daughter in an alternate universe, going to a universe where her parents didn't get together and what would happen as she tries to get them together. :D The plot with the silver crystal in the alternate universe is something I came up with. I needed a reason for how Mizuki gets sent to the original universe, and it looks like it's destroyed now...or is it? hehe
Anyway, please leave reviews and look for the next chapter of Changes soon! I really hope to work on it this week, unless I decide on working on this cause I'm equally excited for this, or I'll write both! We'll see! :D
Until next time!
