Godzilla Saves Kong from Drowning

After getting away from the battle up the hill behind him, Godzilla, a reptilian creature with a square shaped muzzle, large dorsal plates on his back, clawed hands and feet and a green cloak hanging to his shoulder stood on the shore looking at one of the canoes that was halfway in the water. But Godzilla was still undecided and conflicted on the inside when he looked between the boat and the east shore. Elsewhere in the woods, an Ape with brown fur, a scar on his chest and a green cloak tied to his shoulders ran through the woods to find his friend. He pushed through a few branches and worriedly called out, "Godzilla!"

He didn't hear an answer and it made him worry even more, but kept rushing down the hill.

Mixed feelings welled up within Godzilla's heart as he looked down to the Ring sitting in his palm. Tears started to well up in the young Titan's eyes as he thought of those that he had lost because of it. The tears rolled down the reptile's face and he looked up from the Ring. He remembered once saying, "I wish that the Ring had never come to me. I wish that none of this had ever happened."

"So do all who live to see such times…" Another voice rang in his mind, making Godzilla's eyes widen. He felt like he was looking right at King Caesar like back in Moria. Godzilla then remembered what King Caesar told him next, "But that is not for them decide.

"All you have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to you." Godzilla then found new resolve with his friend's words. His expression changed and he placed the Ring and its chain back over his head and around his neck. With a deep breath he walked over to one of the boats and used all his might to push the boat all the way into the water. When it was fully in the water, Godzilla was quick to climb into it. Though it was a little hard with the boat wobbling, Godzilla was able to pull himself into the boat.

Kong came charging through the woods and could see the river up ahead before going faster. When he broke through the tree line, Kong was surprised and shocked to see Godzilla paddling to the other shore. Kong ran down the beach and shouted after his friend, "Godzilla, no!" Slowing down he shouted again, "Godzilla!

"Mr. Godzilla!" Kong called after him. But Godzilla didn't look back as he quietly said, "No, Kong."

Seeing how his friend wasn't stopping, Kong decided to follow after Godzilla and walked into the river. Hearing the sounds of water sloshing, Godzilla looked behind him. When he saw that Kong was trying to follow him, Godzilla told him, "Go back, Kong!" Then with a firm gaze he told his friend, "I'm going to Mordor alone."

"Of course you are." Kong agreed as he kept coming. But he wouldn't let his best friend go somewhere alone and added, "And I'm coming with you!"

"You can't swim." Godzilla said to discourage his friend as Kong kept coming. The bottom of the river fell from Kong's feet and he tried to swim to Godzilla's boat. Godzilla turned and tried to warn his friend while also becoming afraid for him, "Kong!"

But Kong kept coming, even though he was starting to struggle the further out he came. He gasped when he started to sink and fought to stay afloat. But the Ape Titan ended up sinking beneath the water. A truly worried Godzilla looked to the spot and fearfully shouted, "Kong!"

Kong tried to swim back up to the surface, but it was in vain as he kept sinking. As his movements became still, the Ape Titan was left looking up at the sun as it shown down on him. He moved one hand towards the sky as he sank ever further in the water. But before he went down too far, a reptilian hand reached down into the water and grasped the outstretched hand. Kong's hand firmly grasped it and he was pulled up from the water. Godzilla strained as he pulled Kong from the river. The Ape Titan sputtered when his head broke through the surface and shook the water off him while he was hauled up. Coughing up the water he had swallowed, Kong climbed up into the boat while Godzilla helped him in. Godzilla moved back to give him some room and Kong looked to him. The reptile had fresh tears rolling down his face as he wanted to know why his friend had done that. Kong started to say, "I-" He took a deep breath before saying, "I made a promise, Mr. Godzilla." He repeated the vow, "A promise: Don't you leave him Kong."

He sounded very serious about keeping it when he said, "And I don't mean to." Godzilla knew that he would honor his word when Kong said, "I don't mean to."

Godzilla then knew that there was no dissuading his friend and said, "Oh, Kong."

The two friends embraced each other as fresh tears rolled down their faces. They breathed heavily as they knew that the journey would be hard, but know that they would have each other made it a little better. The broke the embrace and Godzilla said, "Come on, Kong."

Both Titans started to paddle the boat again to the other shore. The two knew that together, they could brave the Hollow Earth and reach the forbidden land of Mordor.

Author's Note: I do know that Godzilla and Kong aren't really buddy-buddy with each other, but at least they respect each other enough. And I thought that this was pretty nice. Also, go and see the movie! It is awesome! I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
