The Avengers have just finished their mission fighting Ultron, again, when Natasha hears a scream come from a nearby building. No one else seemed to notice so she thought it was just her imagination. She hears it again and this time everyone else hears it too.
"Did anyone else hear that?" Tony asked with a confused but worried look on his face.
"Yeah. I think it came from that building over there." Bruce said pointing towards a tall, old looking building a few blocks away. "Do you think we should check it out?"
Everyone looked at each other and without communication, started walking toward the building. When they got to the building, the screams had stopped and they started to get a little worried. Wanda uses her powers to break down the chained metal door. Steve looks in and he doesn't see anyone on the ground floor so he signals everyone else to come inside. They decide to split up since there is 4 more floors, not including the ground floor. Wanda and Nat on the fourth floor, Bruce and Thor on the third, Steve and Pietro on the second, and Tony and Peter on the first. On their floors Tony and Peter find a worn out sleeping bag on the floor which does not look comfortable whatsoever, Steve and Pietro find nothing interesting, and Bruce and Thor find some torture tools layer out and hung up everywhere. As Wanda and Nat walk up their last flight of stairs, they hear the screaming again. This time even louder. They give each other a look and start to bolt up the stairs, although they stop when they hear voices.
"Shut up! We know your Russian! Stop denying it!" An masculine voice said. "If you don't talk, you will get no food again today!"
"I told you I'm not!" A younger voice said. It sounded like it came from a little girl. "Why do you think I'm Russian?!"
"You are Russian!"
"Am not!"
"Am too!"
"Am not!"
"Я тоже!" (Am too!)
"Я не!" (Am not!)
The younger voice stoped and the man gave a low chuckle.
"Hmm. Then how do you explain that?" The man asked.
Silence followed the question. Nat slowly looked around the corner and saw two people. One was a male, old, short and fat. The other was a girl who looked to be about 19 or 20. The girl was tied to a chair and beaten up badly as the man looked down at her while he stood. He leaned in close and looked the girl dead in the eye. Wanda and Nat hear him say something but very quietly. It is in Russian so only Nat can understand it.
"А теперь я дам тебе до счета три, чтобы сказать мне, почему ты здесь. Если я дойду до числа три, я убью тебя прямо сейчас. Один. Два -" (Now, im going to give you until the count of three to tell me why your here. If I reach the number three, I will kill you, right this moment. One. Two -) Before the man could finish, Nat leaped out from the corner and shot the man in the leg and arm. The man screamed in pain and the girl screamed in terror. The man tried to reach for a knife but Wanda knocked him out with her powers. The girl was crying, tears rolling down her face as Nat untied her. She tried to calm the girl down and it seems to be working until everyone else ran into the room. They explain how they had heard heard the screams and came to see what happened. The girl starts to panic again and Nat tries to calm her down. She reassures the girl that she is ok and that The Avengers have come to help her. The girl starts to calm down a bit, just enough to answer 1 question from Steve.
"What is your name?" He asks.
"Y/n." The girl responds.
"Well Y/n" Steve says, "Your safe now. No one will hurt you anymore."
This seems to reassure Y/n and Steve and Pietro decide to help her get back to the quin jet (Idk how you spell it) and they start to head back to headquarters.
