xvintagefatcow: Bruh what about a prompt where darington went thru something traumatic and Blaze and is just trying to comfort him with like cuddling and kisses and sweet nothings :)

Blaze stared down at his phone with a frown. It's been hours since Darington messaged to meet him at the park. In an ordinary day, Blaze wouldn't think much of it, but that day, the text felt... off.

Like, something was wrong with his boyfriend but was trying hard to hide it.

"I'm sure everything's fine, Blaze," AJ had told him before he left the house.

Blaze wanted to believe him, but Darington had been mysteriously quiet for the whole week. Stripes and him had been suspicious about it, especially since the stunt truck hadn't been doing any stunts or gone to any races for the past week. And every time he smiled, it looked forced and tired.

THAT got Blaze's attention every time they went out.

RING! RING!

Blaze answered the call immediately. "Hello? Darry?"

"H-Hey, Blaze," the stunt truck sounded as if he had been crying as he spoke through the phone. "S-Sorry that I'm a little late, but I'll be there soon. J-Just stay put,"

"Hey, hey," Blaze softly spoke to his lover. "It's okay, Darry. I'm not going anywhere. I'll wait for you until the end of time, if I had to, and you know that,"

"Thanks, B," Darington let out a small chuckle. "Love you,"

"Love you too," Blaze was able to say before the other hung up.

The call made his stomach drop and churn. Darington sounded awful. He sounded like he was scared and that he had just been crying.

Like he had just been threatened. Or worse, hurt.

After an hour has passed, Blaze stared down at his phone again to check if there were any more calls. As he did, a voice from behind him made him stiffen.

"H-Hey,"

He turned around to see his boyfriend, the usual enthusiasm in his eyes faded and his usual excitement gone as he lightly trembled. He managed to give him a smile, a weak one though, but a smile nonetheless. Blaze gasped and immediately enveloped the other into a hug.

"Oh, Darry..." he let out a hiss. "What happened to you?"

Darington tried to hold himself together, but he broke too easily and began to cry in his lover's tires. Blaze gently tightened the hug, soothing him with soft kisses and gentle strokes as he felt the other tremble.

"Shh, it's okay," he told him, slowly pulling away to wipe away the other's tears. "It's okay, Darry,"

"I..." Darington felt his voice quiver as he sniffled his tears. "B-Blaze..."

"Oh, love..." Blaze frowned. "Please tell me what happened,"

"I... okay..." Darington nodded and swallowed. "There's... There's been someone stalking me for the past week. He... He's been following me everywhere. In the store, at the park, even at my house. Last night, he... he got into my house. He tried to... to..."

Blaze's eyes widened in horror before holding the other close once more. He let the other break and cry as he hissed, internally ranting about how cruel the stalker is, traumatizing his poor boyfriend and hurting him like this.

"Did... Did he succeed?"

"N-No," Darington shook his head. "I managed to escape, but now, I... I'm too afraid to go back home,"

"Oh, Darry, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Blaze pulled away to look over at his trembling lover.

"I didn't want to bother you..." Darington turned away. "I didn't want to burden with you myself,"

"Love, you're never a burden," Blaze told him. "Never. If you're ever hurt or in trouble, you can always come to me, alright?"

"O... Okay..." Darington gave him a smile, a softer, sincere one compared to the previous one.

"Good to know," Blaze returned the smile and kissed his forehead. "Now, how about I take you home?"

"I don't wanna go back!" Darington screamed, shaking his head.

"No, no, not your place," Blaze assured him, holding gently. "My place,"

"O-Oh," Darington felt his face burn embarrassment. "S-Sorry,"

"Hey, it's alright," Blaze spoke in reassurance. "You've had a rough week. It's understandable. Come on,"

The red truck led the stunt truck out of the park and into the road. They quickly zoomed through the dark, empty streets of Axle City and finally found their way to Blaze and AJ's apartment. They went inside, and Blaze led his boyfriend to the fire place in the living room. He grabbed a blanket from his room and wrapped it around the stunt truck.

"Feeling better?"

"Mm-hmm," Darington nodded and snuggled the other. "Thank you, B,"

"Anything for you, Darry," Blaze kissed his cheek and sat beside the other. "What's better is AJ is out with Gabby, so it's just you and me,"

Darington giggled and leaned against his boyfriend. "I wouldn't have it any other way,"

"By the way, Darry, did you ever find out who you're stalker is?"

"Yeah..." Darington sighed. "I got his name when he tried to force himself on me. He said his name was Speedrick,"

"Oh, I see... wait, SPEEDRICK?!"
