Chapter 1: Mistake

"OUT. GET OUT. NOW!"

"Videl, wait. Listen to me, please. It's all a misunderstanding."

Gohan looked at his girlfriend, walking back and forth in the hall of her mansion, trying to keep her calm, surely to avoid breaking any of the expensive vases or sculptures present in the room.

He tried to talk but decided against it when he saw her fists closing; he then froze when she glared at him "Misunderstanding? Do you think I'm stupid? Gohan I saw you. You lied to me. How can you do this to me?"
He tried to open his mouth but when she flipped the side table and broke it in the process, he stood still, surely not wanting to be next. She glared at him, face red and fists closed and yelled again "OUT. NOW! I don't want to see you, ever again."

Gohan stood still, not moving an inch. Videl looked at him and approached him. She then started to drag him, trying her best to push him despite his bigger presence. He could see her trying to hide her tears as she started to punch him, making him move backward towards the door.

His heart broke when he saw her tears and he nodded lightly "Okay, I'll leave now. I'll call when you calm down."
She shook her head and, once he stepped outside, she slammed the door behind him.

He waited, hearing her sobbing on the other side of the door; then, he put his hands in his pockets and started waking aimlessly in the streets.

A few months earlier.

It has been around two months since Gohan started high school. The labeled nerd tried his best to act normally, despite not having a clue on how to interact with people his age. And surely being an overpowered half-Saiyan didn't help.

He had many close calls, specially in PE classes, when he jumped too high, could run easily twenty laps without breaking a sweat, faster than the others, or when he shot the soccer ball so fast he tore the net.

And when his luck couldn't get worse, his classmate was an aspiring detective, and she already helped the police as her community service. And she was none other than the daughter of Hercule Satan, the guy who stole his credit when he defeated Cell, Videl.

If Erasa, his classmate and Videl's best friend, didn't tell him who she was, never in his life he would have guessed it. While Satan was tall, hairy with an afro hair and very loud, she was considered short, had long, smooth hair that she tied in two pig tails and she was calmer than him. But she inherited his blue eyes that could pierce anything she looks into. But the biggest difference was, while he was an egocentric coward who enjoyed the fame, she always put her life on the line to help the community and did her best to avoid the media.

The moment he stepped into class, he could see her eyes analyzing him. She surely noted the resemblance between his clothes and the Golden Fighter's, his mediatized superhero name. and surely exceling at sports, while being the guy who aced his entrance exams, wasn't helping his case.

Then, he decided to wear a costume, and introduced The Great Saiyaman to the world. And of course, she tried to demask him the instant he appeared on a crime scene. Curious, noted. And surely, strong headed. These were two features he learned about her while fighting crime next to her. And while he fought crime next to her, he also sat two seats next to her in class, and Erasa decided to integrate him in their group of friends.

He learned many things about her. She was smart, strong, independent, righteous, caring and he could go on about her. And she was brave and courageous and tenacious. What was that about Saiyans and strong women? Oh yeah! They are attracted to them. And even though he was a hybrid, he was no exception to the rule. It took him a month, only one, to get attracted to Videl Satan, of all people.

And it also took Erasa a second to notice it. The way he looked at her, the way he listened to her while she talked, or when he turned red when she asked him something, or told him to focus when he was daydreaming. He wasn't good a lying, never was, never will; and because of that, it took Erasa a second to notice. And she made it her personal mission to get them together.

Fun fact about this story. It worked. Mission accomplished. She managed to make them a couple. Many of you would surely ask themselves how? Videl Satan, the crime fighters, and Gohan Son, the school nerd? What a weird combination.

That's actually a funny story. And as almost every high school romance, it usually starts with a game of truth or dare gone wrong.

0o0o0

Gohan had no idea that high school students liked partying this much. He knew that, theoretically, but every weekend? That was a lot. And boy, do they like drinking. His fifteen students class could drink more than all the Z-fighters at three of Bulma's parties. And that's a lot considering that Master Roshi, Yamcha, Oolong and many others were heavy drinkers.

But he didn't like it. He tried to fit in, but it just wasn't his thing. Sure, he would occasionally drink a glass of wine with his mother when the weather was cold and they lit up the fire. But that was it mainly, no more than this. It wasn't that he was afraid of being drunk, his Saiyan metabolism eradicating this idea completely; it's just that he felt it wasn't something he would do, get drunk. It didn't fit him.

And during the three parties Erasa had made him attend during these two months, he managed to limit a lot his drinking, while his classmates finished bottle after bottle.

However, the fourth party he attended was different. Instead of going to a bar or a club, much to Gohan's relief, one of their classmates prepared a small gathering at her house.

Her name was Himari and she was on the tennis team. Tall, brunette with green eyes and freckles, surprisingly not to muscular for a tennis player, but most of all very fun to hang out with. She was a close friend to Erasa, but then again who isn't, and being on a sports' team, friends with Videl and Sharpner, the boxer and baseball player who was the third member of Videl and Erasa's group, trio per se.

She prepared a small gathering of eight people at her house, benefiting from her parents' weekend getaway. But this party only differed from the other with the location. The alcohol, loud music that would pierce the hybrid's ears, and never ending dancing were all checked on the list. But this time, Erasa had made Gohan dance with them, much to his dislike, and the night went by.

They were all dancing, playing what Gohan discovered to be party games, such as beer pong, drunk Jenga, flip the bottle and many mores. His nightmare was 'never have I ever', since having a very special childhood wasn't playing in his favor; and boy did he drank during this game. He raised the suspicions of many students, but he always managed to come up with something about him living in the mountains or by not having a lot of money. And his very drunk classmates would buy anything in their state, even if he told he was the King in disguise.

Then, they decided the classic party games that changed everything, truth or dare. He was considered very sober, especially in comparison with his classmates. So he knew that truth would be a better option since he could distort the realities a little. Dare was mostly off the table, because Dende knows what could their drunken brains think of.

And with that, the games begin. To his luck, the bottle didn't stop on him many times, and the questions were mostly about his weird childhood. 'What did you play when you were a kid?', 'didn't you feel alone?', 'did you ever met a girl in the mountains and fell in love?'. He was happy to see that his classmates were trying to get to know him better, instead of pestering him with personal things.

But then, Erasa interrupted the next round, when he was about to say truth again for like the sixth time in a row "Dare Gohan. You've had enough truth. We can write your biography at this point."
His classmates laughed and he scratched the back on his head with his hand, just like his father used to, especially that Erasa had no idea how far from the truth they actually were.

She started to look around her and smirked "So, we are five girls and three boys, including you. I'm gonna flip the bottle again, and whoever's on the other side, will have to be your partner in the dare. So what's it gonna be? Girls, a little help here."
Erasa smirked playfully as she and two others girls rounded up and started discussing dares and they giggled. Then Erasa squealed and they turned around "Pray to Kami your luck's with you. You and your partner will have to do the 'Seven minutes in Heaven' challenge. So I hope you won't get a guy, unless of course you don't mind, or someone who had the misfortune to try one of Sharpner's horribly tasting drinks as a part of their dares. So, who's it gonna be?"
Gohan gulped, not loving the dare, even though he had no ideas what it was, but Erasa's smirking meant trouble. The bottle stopped on Sharpner, who smirked at Gohan and started to make kissing noises at him, hinting a little the mountain boy. Sharpner then shook his head and looked at Erasa "No way. You know I'm joking right?"
Erasa giggled playfully, the alcohol speaking "Too bad. It would have been fun."
Sharpner rolled his eyes and turned the bottle again, which landed on Himari, and she politely declined, you know since her boyfriend was the third guy at the party and he surely won't agree.

Then luck had it when Erasa flipped the bottle again, which landed this time on Videl. Both of them went totally red, and Erasa squealed so high, the students at her proximity had to cover their ears. She quickly got up and started dragging them in a near closet, ignoring their protests, and she searched for what seemed forever to the light switch before she slowly started closing the door "We will start timing in a minute guys. You know, to give you time to prepare. See ya."
Videl could almost slap her smirking best friend's face, who closed the door devilishly, happy that her plan didn't backfire on her, and she managed to get Gohan and Videl together, hoping to have them make out. She then sat next to Himari who fist bumped her and started timing, while they all continued to play while waiting.

Inside the closet, both teens were very uncomfortable, and avoided their best to look at each other's. Gohan never noticed how shorter than him Videl was, and the latter discovered the same thing about her very tall classmate. Eventually, Gohan coughed and looked at her, noticing how deep her eyes were, as if they were hiding a story, and he smiled lightly, now noticing how much he liked this girl.

He chuckled lightly, passing his hand behind his neck "So, um… Hi! This is awkward. What do you wanna do?"
She rose her head to meet his, seeing for the first time his onyx eyes, and she sighed "Nothing of course. We will wait here and when we hear the timer, we will get out. And what's with you and scratching your neck?"
Gohan stopped what he was doing and looked down, a little sad "Sorry. My dad used to do it. I guess and got it from him. I won't do it again."
She noticed the sad look on his face and blushed a little, sensing she hit a sensitive subject. She noticed they had never heard Gohan talk about his father and she decided to ask him about it, since they had approximately five minutes left, and she knew almost notice about the guy Erasa was so hell-bent on integrating in their trio of friends. She looked at him, trying to cross her hands in the restraint space and looked at him "What happened to him? I never heard you talk about him."
Gohan looked at her, surprised by her question, and he tried to smile "He was a good man. Never hurt a fly, always put his loved one's life before his. He protected me from Cell seven years ago. He thought my life was worth saving."
She gasped at his revelations, feeling heartbroken that his father didn't miraculously come back to life like all the other victims of Cell.

Don't ask her what happened next. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe because she was human. But she felt the need to hug her classmate, hoping to make his pain go away. She knew what he felt when a parent leaves you, and she knew that sharing the pain would help it go away.

But the moment was cut short with a loud bang on the door and Erasa's voice could be heard from the other side "Hey love birds. Don't make me reset the stopwatch. Get at it or you'll be stuck in here all night."
Videl felt her face become red when she noticed the position she was in and quickly broke the embrace. She avoided Gohan's looks and screamed at her best friend "Can it Erasa. We don't want to do this stupid dare. Let us out of here."
Erasa rolled her eyes and stood still on the other side of the door "Listen, a dare is a dare. Now if you want, we can change it a little. Instead of you making out in the closet for seven minutes, you can kiss one time in front of us. You choose."
Videl could see her friend's smirking despite the wooden separation between them, and Erasa surely could see Videl's angry face and she started screaming "NO WAY! Not happening."
The blonde girl giggled and winked at the group "Look, we can give you an out. I will open the closet and you can go out whenever you want. But! You have to at least give Gohan one kiss. We won't know. It's all you. You're either brave or you're not. The choice is yours."

Both teens could hear the sound of the lock clicking as Erasa's kept her word and they heard her footsteps fading towards the center of the room. They looked at each other's, both redder than the other and Gohan laughed awkwardly "So… What do you want to do?"
Videl's face couldn't get redder "I'm gonna make sure she's won't be my friend anymore. There's no way I'm giving you my first kiss."
Gohan felt offended at her intonation and titled his head "What's wrong with me? Am I this bad of a person? Okay, I might not be perfect, but there's no need to be this disgusted."

Videl felt her heart pang in her chest. She noticed the moment the words came out of her mouth how harsh they were. And she didn't mean a word she said. She was ashamed to say that she, Videl Satan, the tomboy, developed feeling for the nerdy Gohan. When Erasa integrated him by force in their group, she started to notice how amazing he was. He was very smart, very helpful, always ready to help the people in need, in either studying or carrying stuff. He never lied to anyone and is always cheery. He had a contagious smile and felt so down to earth despite being the best student in school. She knew he was righteous and didn't care about the money. But what affected her the most, was the fact that he treated her as a normal person, as Videl, not as the daughter of the world savior. That was what made her pay interest to him more. He cared for her as her and that never happened before. She knew then that he was different than the others and she wanted to know him better.

At first it was curiosity, with him being the new guy who had to commute thousands of miles, and showed on the exact same day as the Golden Fighter, wearing the same clothes at him. Then, his constant disappearance when she went to fight crime and the Great Saiyaman appeared on the scene. She grew more and more suspicious of him, and because of that, she spent more time with him and got to know him better. And she was ashamed to say that she started to develop feelings for her classmate.

All her suspicions vanished when, one time after Erasa forced Gohan to hang out with them after school, she got called by the police. For her, that was it. She would go fight crime and the Great Saiyaman would appear, and surely Erasa will notice that Gohan left the group, and that would be it. She could then demask him and appease her curiosity. But that didn't go according to plan. While she was fighting crime, alongside the goofy superhero, she saw her friends in the crowd, and she saw him standing next to Erasa, a serious look on his face, watching the fight. That made all her suspicions of him go away, and she knew they were different people. With that, a weight got lifted off her shoulders and she felt that she could get to know Gohan Son a little bit more, without being suspicious of him.

She felt someone clicking his fingers in front of her and Videl shook her head and saw Gohan looking worriedly at her "Hey. You alright? You kind of zoned out for a minute."
She blushed lightly, knowing very well where her mind had wandered and she avoided his looks "Sorry. My mind was somewhere else."
She saw him put his hand on the handle, ready to open it and she put her hand on his to stop him, feeling the warm emanating from him "What are you doing?"
He tilted his head and looked at her "I'm going out. Unless you want to spend the whole night in here, there's no need for us to stay."
She smiled dejectedly at him, feeling how hurt he felt when he said those words. She looked at him and tried to calm the atmosphere "You don't want to do the dare? I'm sorry I didn't mean to be this harsh. I was just angry at Erasa."
He chuckled lightly "No I'm good, don't worry. I don't want to force you into anything, especially for a dare. And besides, it's your first kiss. Even I am not that clueless to not know how important that is."
She chuckled, but she didn't know why she felt hurt at his words and she surely didn't understand why she asked the following question "Wait, so you already had yours?"
She didn't know why this mattered to her. Maybe it was the feelings she developed for him that spoke, but the idea that Gohan already liked someone or was in a relationship hurt her.
She could see him blush as she started to scratch the back of his neck "Actually, no. Never really got the chance to meet someone. There was actually a girl one time, but I don't think we were meant to be together this way. And it was like seven years ago so… We were only kids."
Videl chuckled at his innocence but she didn't know what caught into her "So if we do this dare, I'm gonna be your first, just as much as you're mine."
Gohan felt his face turn red and he avoided her looks "Yeah… But, I don't want to be that guy, you know. I'm sure you don't want to be my first kiss. And I'm sure you don't want me to be yours."
She glared at him "What do you mean? Am I not good enough for you Gohan Son? And who do you think you are? Telling me what's best for me and what's not?"
Gohan felt himself restrain at the beck of the closet, as he clashed with the mops and buckets, making them fall on the ground "V-Vi… Videl calm down. I didn't mean to. I meant that I won't be good enough. This has nothing to do with you."
He looked at her, not understanding her down face, and he tried to get his leg off the bucket. But she didn't let him.
She cornered him more, an angry look appearing on her face "You are a jerk, you know that?"
He looked at her surprised by her words "What do you mean? What did I do wrong? All I saying it that I don't want your first kiss to be like that."
She looked at him angrily and closed her fists "You don't get to decide what's best for me and what isn't. You're a jerk."
And with that, she stormed off the closet and got outside. She then ignored her friends and left the house in a hurry.

Erasa looked at the exchange and got up to check on Gohan. She saw him as surprised as her, cornered in the back of the closet, as he tried to remove his foot from the bucket.

"What happened here?"
Gohan tilted his head, not knowing how to respond "Beats me. I don't know if it's the alcohol but she started screaming at me and then she left."
Erasa looked at Gohan and waited for him to tell her in details what happened. When he finished, she looked at him and the door back and forth "And you're still here because?"
He looked at her not understanding a thing "Because you came to talk to me?"
The blonde girl sighed, now understanding how clueless Gohan actually was "No you idiot. She clearly likes you. And she wanted you to be her first kiss. But you didn't understand that and instead, made her feel like you don't care. Now go after her. Now!"

Gohan didn't understand a thing. He didn't know if Erasa was right, or it was part of her 'Get Gohan and Videl together' plan. But he knew better than to not listen to her and he quickly followed Videl in the street.

It was easy for him to find her, with him sensing Ki and all that. He never noticed how fast she could run until he, easily that is, caught up to her in the park, almost five miles away. He called her and she quickly hid her face, surely to wipe her tears. She was Videl Satan, she didn't cry in public.

Once she regained her posture, she looked at him, trying to glare. He saw her looks and chuckled lightly "You know you usually appear more intimidating."
She glared at him, trying not to lose her presence "What do you want? Do you think I'm not humiliated enough as it is?"
He approached her slowly, smiling at her "I'm here to apologize. It was recently explained to me that I'm not very smart. I'm sorry about what happened. I didn't mean to offend you."
She crossed her hands, trying to avoid his looks "Apology accepted. Now can you leave me alone?"
He approached her more and smiled "Not before I repair my mistake. The thing is, and I feel I'm gonna regret that. I actually meant that I wouldn't be good enough because I don't have a lot of experience in this. I don't know when a girl likes me or not, and I don't know what to do when I like one. I didn't live a normal life if you want to know and so I don't know how to interact with people my age. All these new feelings are new to me and I kind of need help on the subject."
Videl looked at him, not understanding what he meant "And you're telling me this because?"
He chuckled at her, surprised to see her as ignorant as him, and he smiled warmly at her, a smile that instinctively made her reciprocate "Because I need your help tell a girl I like that I do. I'm sure you know her. She's stubborn, strong-headed, tenacious. But she's also very smart, perceptive and caring. She always helps the ones in need and has no problem putting her life in danger for the others. She doesn't like being treated as someone famous and like to blend in with the crowd. She likes pancakes and is surprisingly ambidextrous. You know her?"
Videl felt a pang in her chest. Gohan couldn't be talking about her, could he? But a part of his description matches her. She lightly blushed, not knowing what to say, and she felt him approach her more.

Gohan looked at Videl who was blushing, and he didn't understand the courage he gathered to approach her more and continue. Maybe it was his Saiyan genes? Or maybe because he really likes this girl. His mind told him to stand still and wait for her, but his heart told him to approached her more, and he followed the latter.

He almost stood near her and decided to continue "I'm gonna clue you more. She is of average height, although a little short. She has long black hair that I find very nice. She has a slender frame that suits her a lot, while being athletic. And she has gorgeous light blue eyes. So Videl, do you know her?"
Videl tried to lose the lump in her throat as Gohan approached her more and stood still right in front of her. She could feel his breath near her but couldn't move.

Gohan was talking about her, she was sure of it. She rose her head, locking her eyes with his, while he was smiling tenderly at her. He rose his eyebrows, waiting for her to say something and he saw her chuckle. She then got on her tiptoes and smiled at him "Yeah I know her."

He smiled at her and caught her by her waist and locked lips with her. She then set her hands on his shoulders and kissed back. Both of them felt electricity pass through their bodies, both of them feeling over the moon. They both know it just felt right. And even though none of them had any experience in this, it was just perfect.

The two months that followed these events were perfect. Gohan and Videl were dating and Gohan was more than happy enjoying normality. Videl opened up to him, no more feeling suspicious of him. And he got to know the girl he liked more, although it was hard for him to answer her questions without raising suspicions.

He always helped her fight crime, always finding ways to keep his identity a secret. He knew she hated liars but it was too late now to tell her the truth. Besides, her father was Hercule, and she will only see him as a trickster.

He had no problem helping her during the weekend, since she thought that he would be at home, miles away from the city. During the weekdays however, it was more subtle. He had the brilliant idea to ask Bulma for help, and the blue haired genius got him the best solution, Yamcha.

The baseball player was living in the city and Bulma convinced him to help Gohan, both of them being the same height and having very similar haircuts. Each time Gohan would fight crime, Yamcha would be wearing the exact same costume and if needed, he would take Gohan's place when the teenager needed to be seen in his everyday clothes. And it worked. No one ever suspected him to be the masked superhero. And they had been keeping up this charade for almost three months now. Everything was perfect.

Until…

Gohan always thought it would be easy for him to help Videl fight crimes on the weekend. The latter knew how far away was Gohan's commute, therefore, she usually hung out with him after school. Gohan liked this sensitive side of hers, but he felt guilty every time he had to lie to her about his abilities. But he knew that telling her now would only make things worse and he needed to plan perfectly how to tell her the truth.

But this weekend surely threw his plans in the trash.

It was easy for him to track Videl's Ki, with it being the highest on the planet after the Z-fighter. And just in case, he asked Bulma to integrate a system similar to Videl's on his watch, this way he could always know when the police was going to call her. His watch would make a light sound, only perceptive by his Saiyan's earing, and he would go and search for the commotion.

Today, just like any Saturday, while he was playing with Goten, he would hear this 'ping' and fly to Satan City to fight crime, wearing his Great Saiyaman costume. He arrived on the crime scene and did his usual ridiculous poses only to get a scoff from his girlfriend "Hey doofus. Since I can't make you understand that you're not needed, at least don't interfere in my work."
Gohan chuckled at her tenacity and they divided themselves to stop the thugs from attacking the bank, which happened really a lot lately. He easily disposed of the two robbers that were attacking him and he watched with pride his girlfriend knocking out three robbers twice her size. Once they easily handed the thieves to the police, he looked at her and smiled lightly, preparing himself to leave.

Then he heard a loud 'pang' and he saw Videl cover her mouth with her hands, a horrified look on her face. He shook his head, feeling his right ear shut due to the sound. Then, he heard a light 'ping' and a crack.

He looked down and saw the bullet on the ground, surely after it bounced his bulletproofed body. Then, he saw a part of his helmet on the ground, the orange part being detached in a triangular form, taking with it a part of the reflective visor.

He shook his head, trying to get his ideas straight, and saw the look of relief of everyone when they saw him alive.

He turned around and saw the thug frozen in place and Gohan walked to him calmly to him retrieve the pistol from his hand. In one motion, he knocked out the robber and handed him to the police, how were also frozen in place.

He then greeted the officer and turned towards Videl to say goodbye before leaving but he saw her frozen in place. But she had a different look on her face. It wasn't a 'how is he alive' look. It was something else. Like she'd seen a ghost. Like her world crumbled in front of her eyes.

He tried to understand but figured it would be best to ask her as Gohan. Surely the media will know what happened and they will talk about it and he could call her to ask her if she was okay. With that, he took the piece of his helmet that dropped and left the scene.

He flew off to the outskirts of the city to remove his costume, to make sure that he wasn't injured or he won't hear the end of it by his mother. He knew he was bulletproof but he couldn't be this sure that it didn't scratch him, even a little. It was a pistol after all.

He reached the plains and hit the buttons of his watch to remove his costume, making the helmet and the broken part disappear. He then started clicking his fingers next to his ear, making sure that his hearing came back. But then, he froze in place.

He was so rushed to leave the scene that he didn't pay attention to his surroundings. It was when he felt the disrupted Ki that he paid attention. But he didn't turn. He couldn't. Her emotions were a mix of anger, deception and let down. She knew.

He couldn't turn around and face her until he heard her say "Liar."

He turned around and saw her run towards the city. He quickly followed her, while he tried to find a logical explanation to this whole mess.

0o0o0

When she heard the gun, Videl froze in place. Even though she had issues with the superhero, he didn't deserve to get shot in cold blood, especially without his knowing. He was a huge help for the police and herself, saving her countless times.

Then, he moved, showing he was alive. And she didn't understand how. Sure, she saw him bounce bullets or catch him, that's why the media claimed he was bulletproof. But no one could survive a bullet to the head. But he could. The goofy superhero was indeed bulletproof, head to toes.

But when his visor broke, she felt her world crumble around her. Usually, she wouldn't pay attention to these small details, but these eyes, she'd know them anywhere. The deep black eyes, that showed nothing but innocence. He saw them countless of times from up close. She saw them so much she would recognize them anywhere.

And she saw him hand the shooter to the police and look at her, and she figured he would wait for the media to talk about what happen so he could call her as Gohan. She got to know him during these two months. Even though he can't lie, he's smart. Very smart. But so was she.

When she saw him take off, she followed him on foot. She knew he could hear and see her copter so she ran. Very fast. For the first time, she actually saw him fly, noticing the clear absence of wires and she asked herself many questions as she continue to follow him. But she never thought she could run this fast, maybe it was the adrenaline. But she was determined to follow him, even if she had to go the 439 East Area by foot.

Then she saw him. He removed the costume. And he made sure his hearing was okay. Tall, black gravity-defying hair, straight posture. That was Gohan for sure. The boy she thought would never lie, was always righteous. The boy she fell in love with. She trusted him and made him enter her world, only to find him lying to her, and to her face.

He had the opportunity to tell her the truth countless of times. But he didn't. He lied to her again and again. That's why she couldn't but say liar, and she knew he heard her because she felt him turn, even though she didn't know how he could know she was here. But then again, he lied to her about many things, so what's to say what other secrets he had. Hell, he could fly.

The instant she felt him turn, she started running. She didn't know how she got the energy to run this fast but she did. She knew he was faster than her, PE made that very clear. But she didn't care; she couldn't see him. She started taking shortcuts she discovered while chasing perps down the streets, hoping to lose him. She continued to run until she reached her house and she quickly opened the front door to enter; but he quickly reached out to her and stopped her from closing it, and he looked at her, panting, a horrified look on his face.

"Videl, please. Let me explain."
Videl closed her fists, stopping herself from punching him "You lied to me. To my face. Countless of times. Get out of my house."
He looked at her as she started walking in the hall and she screamed at him "OUT. GET OUT. NOW!"

And well, you know the rest of this conversation.

All that Gohan could do now was walk aimlessly in the street, determined to stay in the city until his appearing to be ex-girlfriend would calm down and accept to talk to him.

And he felt it was going to take a while.
