A dark tower nestled deep within Grimm territory laid untouched by them by their masters commands. Tall and unforgiving it was a beacon of the very person who lived inside the massive tower. The Architecture of it had a gothic tone to it as legions of winged Grimm flew any which way they pleased. A lone figure stood on a balcony on the very top as her long white hair flowed in the wind like a flag. The tower was over 500 feet high and pitched dark black from which stood out from the red and white forest that surrounded it. Deep in the forest which surrounded the tower laid black like tar which birthed Grimm to replace the ones slaughtered by humans in their quest to stay the most relevant species on the planet. The air was thick with the smell of human blood as the woman on the balcony took in the marvelous sight. The shattered moon slowly fell below the horizon as the sun behind the tower and her rose into the sky. She checked her watch on her right wrist. The pure white skin contrasted with the brown leather strap and gold watch as she saw it wasn't even 5 am yet. Salem muttered a low curse as he was destined to be alone in such a place. Her dark green eyes glinted in the low light as her arm fell to her side. Her dark red cloak fluttered in the breeze as she looked back up. The moon had fallen completely as the sun behind crept up. She felt a tremor beyond in the forest, pain, hate, anger and suddenly nothing. Another one of my children has met another huntsman. She grimaced as she hoped to the railing. The tremor was only 3 miles away, whoever was out here this far was either with Ozpin or had a serious death wish. She reached for her cloak's clip and snapped it with ease as her cloak fell to reveal a black bodysuit with light armor even though she never needed such a thing. Taking a breath of a morning air she drew deep within herself and called out towards her children. Leave it, she beckoned. Their mine and mine alone. She with a leap propelled herself into the air as she flipped and vanished into a cloud of black mist. She reverted on the ground on her two feet as her boots crushed a twig beneath her. The sounds of the forest encapsulated her as she scanned her surroundings. Dark and cold it would make it very difficult to track if she didn't draw on her near god like abilities which made her the last of the magic born. She very much doubts that magic even went away, semblances granted the user one ability while there have been few with more abilities like the Schnee family for instance. She shook her head and broke away from the thought, she had a much more important task at the moment. She drew much deeper within and heard panting and labored breathing just 4 minutes south west of her she could tell it belonged to a female. She turned and began towards the distressed breathing as it moved slowly. Vanishing into black mist again she reappeared next to the woman, rather skinny and had dark brown hair and blue eyes. She jumped back as her expression went to pure unadulterated terror in the blink of an eye. She hit the tree behind her as he was far too afraid to scream. She looked no older than 9 and shook like a leaf as Salem loomed infornt of her. Well this is interesting, she mused as she took note of the silver eyes that watched her with fear. Must have been separated from someone. She Seriously doubted the girl's mother would drag her this far into Grimm territory as she knelt down to the child and smiled warmly.

"What brings you out this far little one?" She said with a kind tone which she hadn't used in oh so long, not since when she watched her own son die of old age whilst she remained 28 for his entire life. She held back the pain of the younger years as she forced herself to remain on her game. The little girl who was still afraid stuttered a response.

"I-I was taken from home. I don't know why they'd do such a thing. I'm just a kid" Salem frowned and noted it for later. Looking around she fingered her pets had dealt with the kidnappers and then she called them off saving the girls life, unintentionally of course. Gonna have to fix this. She told herself as she nodded.

"I see. what's your name and where do you live?" Salem asked with a tilt of her head. The little girl was hesitant at first but relented quicker than expected.

"Ruby rose, I live in vale on a small island named patch" Salem smiled as she got what she needed. With a wave of her hand little Ruby's of the kidnapping and meeting Salem was wiped from her mind as she with another gesture sent Ruby home with a puff of black mist. Salem stood and brushed herself off and vanished completely in the cloud of mist. Ruby looked around as she now stood outside of her home in the middle of the night. She couldn't remember anything up until now and swore she had forgotten something important. She realised she was shaking as the cold damp air caught her completely off guard making her yelp from the feeling. The frigid air made her skin crawl as she ran for the door and pounded on it. A minute later her father Tai opened the door and looked down, he was clearly exhausted and extremely grief ridden and seeing her lifted it all away. He hugged her and yelled out cheers as he jumped for pure joy. For the first time in a year he was happy again. His fears of losing his daughter faded as joy flooded through him.

Chapter 1

Cinder Fall stood alone as she watched from a far as Mercury black son of Marcus black proceeded to beat the life from his own father. Punch after punch he broke the man he had brought to the ground. She had come for Marcus but now she was he was currently being disposed of by his own son. Severs the idiot right for taking out his anger on his kid and murdering his mother. She mused darkly as Mercury kept wailing as hard as he possibly could. Blood began pooling as Cinder began to approach. The house Mercury had once lived in was ablaze as it burned wildly out of control, Cinder wasn't fazed by it as Mercury delivered the final blow and drove a knife he had wrestled from Marcus into the man's throat. It was painful but it was done as blood poured from the man's throat as he slowly succumbed to death. Cinder clapped making Mercury jump to his feet and grab the knife. Pointing at her his legs shook as blood trailed down them. Cinder looked at the body as she came to a dead stop just a meter away from Mercury. He was very badly bruised and very much needed some attention to help with both physical and mental scars. He was an absolute mess as the house behind him burned away, the light casted by the fire gave the atmosphere a dark foreboding mood as the shattered moon hung high in the sky. She smirked as she looked him square in the eyes.

"Well this is interesting," She started as she looked at the dead body that was once the man she had come for and then back to the pained Mercury. "Nice kill, The apple doesn't fall far from the tree now does it" she finished as she took a step closer. Mercury kept the blade trained on her as his breathing grew painful and shallow. "Just who the hell do you think you are?" He spat out only to see blood as it splattered onto Cinders black menagerie styled outfit, it was very much like a dress but had more functionality such as pockets by the hips. Cinder only looked on at him as his world grew darker. Coughing he dropped to his knees which could no longer support him a second longer. The knife fell from his grasp. Breathing became more difficult as he looked at Cinder with pleading eyes. "Oh don't worry you'll live. Once you heal we've got work to do" She said as he immediately agreed seeing little in the way of options. He just wanted to get away from his former life, as far as he could possibly go. He didn't care where just as long as he didn't wind up back where he started from. He just wanted to run away from the life he had lived, the life that made him into the man he feared.

Blake belladonna loomed over a human who had been locked inside a cage like an animal. His hair was brown and eyes were a rare red. The room was in complete darkness leaving the human unable to see anything. She knelt down as she pulled out a key. Her sight wasn't impaired by the lack of light as she unlocked the cage door. She heard a fearful gasp as he moved against the wall, completely blind he couldn't tell which way was up or down. She drew closer to see the boy looking around wildly in fear. She bit her lip as she looked around. Her ears listened deeply and found nothing of worry yet. Better get outta here fast. She told herself as she grasped the boys hand lightly. He jumped but before he could scream she covered his mouth to prevent being found out. "Quite, I'm your only way out of here" she hissed into his ear as he looked to where the voice had originated. He shuddered as he listened. "Now I need to stay quiet, understand?" She said quietly as she saw him nod. She pulled away her hand as he wished to see. "Who are you?" He asked as Blake helped him out from the cage. His legs shook as she leaned him up against the wall and walked off. He was suddenly blinded by a beam of light as it shined right into his eyes. He covered them as he repressed every urge to yell out in anger or pain. Fuck me that hurts!. He thought as the light moved off to the side. "Blake belladonna, sorry for the light but you'll thank me once we get outside that door" She said as she handled him a pair of contact lenses and fake cat ears. He looked up at her as she held the light so he could see. She wore a white shirt with black pants and open vest over the shirt. A bow hid her ears on the top of her head from unwanted attention. He slid the contacts in and used his shaggy hair to hide the strap which held the ears in place. She looked him over and bit her lip out nervousness. Really wish I wasn't on the clock here but it'll do. She told herself as she led him to the door. Tossing away the flashlight she opened the door. "I'm Paul Harrison—" he said formally and trailed off as she led him out of the room and closed the door. Blake let go of his hand and gave him a warm but nervous nod. This is where the fun begins. She mused as she bagan down the long well lit hall as Pual kept in toe.

Cinder grasped a glass of water as Adam, the leader of the white fang, took a sip from his own glass. He had dark red hair and deep brown eyes as the horns on his head were the only dead giveaway to his heritage. She was alone currently as Mercury was under the knife that Watt's had used on her a few times. She looked at her glass and set it aside gently as she looked back up to Adam who wore black robes with a rose on the back. He had forgone the iconic Grimm mask for some reason unknown to her. He spoke coldly as he walked over to his book shelf and looked at it with his back turned to her. "You want my group to stir up trouble in the Vale area whilst you do your thing without trouble," he paused as he pulled a single from the shelf. "Impressive, but I want something more in this little plan of yours" He finished as he faced her again as he moved over to his desk and laid the single down. He gave her a look of seriousness as he looked her dead in the eyes. She cocked her head in disapproval as she repressed the urge to laugh. Of course he would ask such a thing. She thought as she crossed her arms on her chest. She cocked an eyebrow as she now wore a mask of cold icy calm. "I'm afraid I can't do that, not until my master says otherwise" She responded calmly. Adam scowled but it quickly faded to a neutral clam. Before he could say anything else a rapid knock sounded on the door. Both looked sharpy toward the door as Adam scowled again but with a clearer hatred. "I told you I was not to be disturbed!" He yelled in rage as the voice on the other end retorted quickly. "It's belladonna, she's taken the half blood and is in the garage—" Rage filed Adams eyes as he bolted for the door and forced it open. Grasping his sword on the way out he yelled. "We'll finish this conversation later!" Cinder grinned as she also walked out. I need a challenge anyway.

Paul slid a round of fire dust into the loading mechanism and slid it back into firing position. He glanced at Blake who was Crouched down as far as she could go in the driver seat to avoid being seen. He was a car away to avoid losing the first. He leaned over and lined up his rifle which he had acquired off a dead man who no longer needed it. He lined it up with the dust tank and squeezed the trigger. In a bright red burst a shot rang out and punctured the tank igniting the dust within and turning into a bright fireball of death. He averted his eyes as chaos filled the room. The car Blake was in started and Paul jumped for it. Landing in the back she gunned it. Gun fire and tires screeching blended into a blur as Blake rammed the other door and lashed into the outside world. Turing hard Blake brought the open top car left as she ducked her head of gun fire that whizzed by and punched holes inside the car. She gunned it as hard as she could as she brought the car onto a dirt road. The kicked up dirt provided a smokescreen as she raced towards freedom. Come on baby hold together till they lose sight of us. She begged the car as they drove on and on as the gunfire lessened more and more till nothing. Paul brought himself to the passenger seat as he looked around, nothing but red forests for miles. He looked back and saw the hell he had been helped to escape was now deep in the distance. From the looks of it no one was currently giving chase. Must have done some real damage back there. He mused as Blake drove like hell. His heart pounded in his chest as they kept moving. He looked back forwards and breathed out a sigh. "Why the hell aren't they chasing us?" Blake asked as she glanced at Paul. He shrugged and looked back. "I dunno?. Maybe they got scared, nevermind" he said as he pushed the mockery aside and looked back up to the front. He opened the glove box and found a short sword about half a meter long. Grasping the handle he pulled it out. Blake looked in surprise as she commented. "What kind of—" She looked back forwards to see a woman cloaked in red beyond, the woman raised her arm at the incoming vehicle barreling towards her and narrowed her eyes. Suddenly a bright orange beam lanced from her palm and tore through the engine like it was nothing. The vehicle rolled to a dead stop 10 meters away as she reached for her sword. Pual hopped onto the hood infront or Blake and barked out. "Run, I'll deal with her" Blake was flabbergasted as she retorted quickly but was cut off. "But—" "No! You've saved now i return the favor" he leapt with inhuman speed towards Cinder as he slashed at her. She parried his incoming attacks and back stepped. Pual slashed upwards at her legs only to be blocked and denied. Gritting his teeth she back stepped again. Blake stood grabbing her weapon, a pistol/sword combo as the words of Paul echoed in her head. She saw the two clashing blades and how effortlessly the woman in red blocked and dodged attacks, she wore a Grimm mask but Blake had never seen such skill before. She relented to Paul's words and ran for the forest. Paul slashed again as Cinder side stepped and plunged her blade into his heart. He screamed out as blood trailed from the wound. She leaned in and said. "Impressive but not enough boy, I'll see you in hell" he went limp as Cinder pulled the blade out and kicked the body to the ground. She saw the other had fled and was outta sight. She frowned as she looked around. "Too bad she left so soon, Good day belladonna"
