Blaine reluctantly got out of bed, and forced himself to get ready for bed and go to school.
It was a week before nationals, and the preparation for them combined with the work for his AP classes and all the clubs he joined at the start of the school year, was draining his energy.
The glee club had noticed that their leader was exhausted, but every time they tried talking to him about it, he said he was fine and changed the subject.
It was time for practice and most of new directions were already at the choir room and they were debating what they should do about their friend's situation.
"Guys! We have to do something, what he's doing is not healthy!" Sam said.
"Yeah I agree with Sam, he looks like a zombie whenever I see him." agreed Tina.
"Well, what can we do, he's stubborn and won't listen to anyone" complained Kitty.
Their conversation was cut short when Blaine followed by Mr. Shue came in through the door.
"Okay guys, let's go through the choreography!" said Mr. Shue enthusiastically, while everyone took places.
They were doing the routine for the fifth time, when Sam noticed Blaine swaying back and forth.
"Mr. Shue, I think we should take a bre-" before he could finish his sentence, everyone heard a thud, and then they saw that Blaine had collapsed on the floor.
"Sam go get the nurse quick!", Sam run as fast as he could to the nurse's office and Mr. Shue tried to wake up Blaine, while the rest of the club was frozen in place.
Soon the nurse came into the room, just when Blaine was starting to get up. "Okay, everybody give him some space, and get him something to drink!" she said as she started examing him.
"Ugh, what happened?" asked Blaine still dazed.
"Sweetie, you passed out, try to relax okay?" said the nurse softly.
"Here!" said Sam as he handed Blaine a bottle of water.
"Umm, thanks, Sam.." said Blaine a little embarrassed by everyone staring at him.
"You have really low blood pressure, when was the last time you ate?"
"Umm... yesterday at breakfast I think.." answered Blaine while avoiding his friends eyes.
"Okay... And I'm afraid to ask but how many hours of sleep how you gotten this week, because you look really tired?"
Blaine was hesitant to answer "... I don't know.. Like six?..." he said while looking down.
"What?! Exclaimed the whole club, while Blaine was completely silent.
" Blaine... " said the nurse in a warning tone and Blaine guiltily looked up at her.
" I know that it's not healthy..." he added quietly" but I was too busy... "
" Okay, here's what we're going to do. You are going to my office right now to sleep, and after you get enough rest you're gonna drop a few clubs "
" What?! No, I can't, I need them for extra credits! " exclaimed Blaine.
" Blaine, listen to me, I talked with Emma yesterday, and she said you have more than enough credits to graduate. " said Mr. Shue.
" Ugh..fine " said Blaine while reluctantly made his way to the nurse's office.
After sleeping for three hours, Blaine went and dropped all the clubs, except the glee club and the student council, and then went home.
The next day, after a full ten hours of sleep last night, Blaine enter the choir room, feeling well rested for the first time in the last month.
When he entered the room, every head turned around "Well, look who it is Mr. I'm fine leave me alone" said Kitty sarcastically.
"Haha.. Very funny" replied Blaine while sitting down.
"Anything you wanna tell us?" asked Tina while she and everyone else was looking at him with a smug look.
"... You guys were right...sorry I didn't listen to you sooner.." mumbled a guilty looking Blaine.
"We'll forgive you, if you promise to take better care of yourself and to ask for help when you need it." said Sam sternly.
"Umm...okay, fine, I promise" said Blaine and everyone cheered.
