You've been waiting for this day from the moment you've met him. It was a bit of a shock when he approached you and asked you to hang out.

You had been sitting in the cafeteria, your eyes focus on the latest book you bought last weekend when a shadow flew over you. You look up and there he was, Ejiro Kirishima, smiling down at you.

"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow?" he asked, and you can't help but stare at him. "I heard you mentioning earlier that it was your day off" he said, and you nod even though it's not a question. "Mine too" he adds.

"Oh" You manage to say.

"Yeah. Maybe we could catch a movie and then lunch or dinner. Hang out, you know?" he asked and again you just stare at him. You feel your heart start to race, pounding so loudly against your chest. The thought of him asking you out makes you giddy but you don't show it. The last thing you want to do is make a fool of yourself in front of him.

Technically, didn't say it was a date. He asked you to hang out. Which meant as friends. "Oh, cool. Who else is going?" You asked, trying to play it cool.

"Um, I don't know yet?" he asked, unsure of his answer. You stared at each other, uncomfortable and a little awkward.

You licked your lips before offering a smile. "Sounds great. A group to hang out. Fun" You say, and he smiles.

"Yeah. Then we'll meet by the theater at... 5?" he asked, and you nod.

"Cool" you say as you watch him walk back to his friend.

You go over the moment over and over again as you stand in front of the theater, waiting for him to show up. You feel nervous and a bit nauseous. You don't know what movie you were going to see or who he was going to show up with.

Even though you had been the one to add more people to the invitation, you didn't ask anyone to come with you. You slightly hope he doesn't bring anyone with him either but part of you is half expecting his best friend to show up by his side.

A thought pops into your head.

What if it had all been a joke?

He's a popular guy and you are not. Everyone loves him while people barely even remember your name.

He could have been joking. He could not show up at all.

You feel the panic starting to take over and just as you are about to convince yourself to turn around and leave; you see him at a distance.

He's wearing a black shirt, under a red and black unbutton plaid shirt, jeans and a bandana that holds his red locks in place. He calls your name with that same goofy grin that makes your knees weak.

"Sorry about that. The bus was bit late" he said, scratching the back of his head, chuckling nervously. You can't help but smile at him.

"It's okay" You say. "Beside I just got here myself" You say even though it's a lie. You've been waiting for half an hour now, not that you would ever tell him.

You both stand there in silence, neither knowing what to say next but there is one thing you want to ask. "So, are we waiting for someone else?" you ask.

He looks into your eyes and shakes his head. "Too last minute. No one could come with" he says. "It's just me" he adds with a shrug.

"Same" You say, as you start to feel your cheeks heating up with a blush. "So, it's just you and me"

"You and me" he says with a big smile, it makes you giddy.

"Well, what are we going to watch today?" you ask, turning towards the posters of the movies that are out for the season.

You discuss what movies you can watch but at the end Kirishima insist on seeing the movie you've been telling everyone you want to see.

You're beyond excited.

You get to see the movie you've been wanting to see with Kirishima. It doesn't get any better.

"Let me take a quick trip to the bathroom and we can get in line to buy the tickets" You say. You need a minute to compose yourself. You're too excited and you're about to be sitting next to Kirishima for almost two hours; you don't want to lose your cool.

"I'll wait here" He says, offering a reassuring smile which you happily return.

You run towards the bathroom and run your hands under the cold water from the sink. You inspect yourself in the mirror before taking a deep breath. You can see the blush on your cheeks, and you wonder if it is ever going to go away.

You take another deep breath and exit the bathroom.

You head back to the spot you left Kirishima last but instead of finding him waiting for you, he's walking back from the ticketing booth. You raise your eyebrow confuse as he flashes the two tickets in his hand.

"Line was getting pretty big; I went ahead and bought them for us" He says but there something in his face that you haven't seen before. He actually looks kind of nervous.

"Oh, well thank you" You say. A part of you wonders if him buying the tickets meant it was a date, but you push the thought away as soon as it pops into your head. Kirishima is a friendly guy. He makes friends with everyone. You are his friend. "Well then, I'll get the snacks" You say.

Kirishima smiles but says nothing. You walk together into the lobby and head over to the popcorn stand.

You can't help but blush as he orders for both of you. You go to get your wallet when he takes out his and pays for your snacks.

"But I-" You start to say but he cuts you off with one of his bright toothy smiles.

"I got it" He says. He hands you the large bag of popcorn he orders for the two of you and carries the two sodas. You walk together in silence as you try to figure out what theater room, you're supposed to be in.

Kirishima makes a joke about possibly missing the previews if you can't find the room soon. You laugh because you know he's teasing you. You remember the day you told him watching the previews for future movies was one of your favorite things to do when you go to the theater.

You barely remember the day you told him. It had been a passing conversation and yet your heart swells because he remembers.

Finally, you find the room and it doesn't take long to find two perfect seats.

You smile as he lets you sit down first but you start to feel the nervousness creep up your spin when he sits next to you.

He lays his arm next to yours. Inches away from touching.

You start chewing on your bottom lip, nervous about the outcome of this day but then the lights lower a bit and the first preview for a movie rolls on screen.

Kirishima smiles and makes a comment about the movie. "I can't wait to see it. Did you see how high that guy jumped" he exclaimed and you can't help but giggle.

That's one of the things you really like about Kirishima. He always makes you feel comfortable, even when he doesn't even know he's doing it. Being around him makes you happy.

You continue to discuss and plan for every preview that comes on the screen. Every bad thought is out of your brain and you're just happy to be able to spend some time with Kirishima.

Eventually, the light goes completely out and the screen rolls the movie you came to see.

Although it is a movie you've been dying to see, you are a bit distracted by Kirishima and his arm. His hand is so close to yours; you can barely stand the urge to move it even closer but you don't.

Instead, you keep your eyes on the screen and try you best not to glance at him.

The movie is about to end. The main character is running in the rain towards her love interest. Her eyes are filled with love and happiness as she runs into his arm. You know it's a cliché and yet you can't help but slightly tear up.

A soft sniffle escapes your lips before you can stop it. You hope he didn't hear it, but you know he did. You expect him to tease you but instead you feel him move his hand. His finger grazes yours and you let out a soft gasp.

You are tempted to look at him but you don't. Instead, you let your instincts take over. You slide your hand closer, his finger slowly tangling with yours.

Although you can't see him, you know he is smiling. You are too.

He takes your hand, the hesitation completely gone and your heart skips a beat.

The movie is completely forgotten because all you can focus is on his hand on yours.

The light come on, the movie ended and you're afraid he'll let go of your hand. You start thinking of ways to keep him from letting go. Your hand has never felt so at home.

"That was a good movie" he says before standing up, letting your hand slip from his. You feel sad but you don't tell him. Instead, you smile and nod.

"I loved it" you say as you also stand up. You wait for him to lead the way out but instead he just stands there, looking at you as everyone around you continue to exist the room.

You feel a little nervous because he has this look on his face you can't quite figure out. "Kirishima?" You say. Your voice is low and soft.

Kirishima smiles before lifting his hand and placing it on your cheek. "I'm really happy you came" he says.

You smile back. "I'm really happy you invited me" you say.

He stokes your cheek with his thumb, his eyes on yours. "I have to tell you something" he says.

"What is it?" you ask as you feel your cheeks starting to heat up.

"When I invited you out today, I wanted it to be just you and me" He confessed. "I didn't tell anyone about coming with today. I was asking you out on a date" he admitted.

You stare at him surprised. You have been waiting for so long to hear him say those words, you are too afraid to blink, scared it might all be a dream.

"I..." You say after a short pause. "I didn't invite anyone to come with me either" you say. "I want it to be just the two of us"

Kirishima grins and you can't help but mimic him.

Suddenly time seem to slow down. Kirishima's face grows closer to you and you realize you're about to be kiss by him. You feel nervous and yet you close your eyes as he draws closer.

You feel his lips on yours and you whole body feels like it's on fire. Your lips tingle and your heart is beating so fast, you afraid he might be able to hear it.

His kiss is short and sweet. He leans back, with that same goofy smile you feel on your face. "Let's go get ice cream" he says and you nod. You don't care what you do next, as long as Kirishima is there with you.

Kirishima offers his hand to you and you take it, no hesitation this time.

To think this all happened because he was brave enough to ask and you were brave enough to say yes.
