Summary: The Kaiser plans for what he might do once he's won – including the fate he chooses for his fiercest enemy.
One day soon he will kneel before me, the Digimon Kaiser mused as he observed his enemies. One enemy in particular – Motomiya Daisuke. The others annoyed him, but Motomiya was something else altogether. He had been ever since that first time.
Sometimes Kaiser wondered if it were merely because of Motomiya having been the first one to truly stand up to him, the first one whose partner became capable of evolution and could break his Evil Rings – and then had the audacity to break his Evil Spirals.
Truly, it was as if fate designed Motomiya Daisuke to counter him in every way.
Kaiser didn't like that. He didn't want a rival or an enemy. He wanted – wanted – he didn't know what he wanted, but he wasn't getting it, and he'd figure it out once he'd conquered this world and didn't have those annoying Chosen to deal with.
He drummed his fingers on the arm of his chair, considering all of his options for future victory. His personal project was almost finished and that would certainly overwhelm the Chosen. They would never bother him again after that.
His thoughts turned towards Motomiya again. What to do with him? Kaiser admitted to himself that he didn't want to ban Motomiya from the Digital World. All the others were mere annoyances and could be safely gotten rid of. But Motomiya – a far different fate would await him.
Slowly Kaiser considered his options. There was really only one – he would keep Motomiya for his own. A wonderful trophy to display to the entire world that the Digimon Kaiser would never be defeated by anyone and those who tried would serve him in the end.
He toyed over a few thoughts in that direction. He would need to create an entirely different outfit for Motomiya once it was all over with. Something far more to his own taste than that ridiculous vest and shorts combination. What had Motomiya been thinking when he'd designed that look? Or had he designed it at all and not just been arbitrarily assigned it?
That was something else Kaiser decided he needed to do – figure out all the secrets of this world. What would happen once he conquered everything? Would the game restart? Or would he be thrown out of it? Or both? Could he play it all again but make different decisions? Perhaps even start with Motomiya as his from the beginning?
Or perhaps this would turn out to not be a game at all and he would continue to live and rule in this world for the rest of his life?
He liked that idea the best. It would be very pleasant not to have to live up to anyone's desires but his own. He would have Motomiya for companionship – and perhaps Wormmon, if he could be considered a companion. The little bug at least could be a suitable servant.
But Motomiya would be something else altogether. Something better. Something he could keep forever.
He will be mine.
The End
Notes: Sure, Ken. You keep telling yourself that. Btw, that thing you want? It's called a friend. Daisuke is very good at that. All in good time…
