So Chirith here.

I recently got bored of writing my book titles, As expected, living in a world with gods is hard' along with the fact that I failed my Accounting subject.

Woe is me! I need Coffee! Rawr!

Anyway, this book is similar to that one but this time, the story starts near the canon timeline with the main Character Ren Cruz being older, smarter, more handsome, etc... This book will be OC-centric but don't worry most canon events will still happen both in canon and some events in As expected timeline.

Bell will still have a harem and will be a member of the Hestia Familia. Don't worry, Bell will still be the same as Canon but with some adjustments and stuff.

Also, Ren Cruz is in no way shape or form my self-insert, he is just one of my beloved brain babies and you are free to use him in your fanfics AS LONG AS YOU ASK ME FIRST.

Disclaimer: I don't own Danmachi or any anime I decide to add in this story. If they did then I would be rich.

P.S:

Also, some characters that might have died in canon will still be alive and well due to reasons and stuff. This may get dark sometimes and each chapter will have 2,000-4,000 words per chapter.

A young man with black hair sighed as he walked on the hallways of a building proudly, despite the bandages on his cheek, neck, and arm. He is clad in a pair of black pants, a white button-up shirt

"Hey, Ren," Looking over his shoulder, he smiled at the sight of his childhood friend, Joanna Fleur, a white-haired, golden-eyed french girl. Well, also at her gifted chest, Shaking his head slightly, he looked at her.

"Hey Joanna," Ren said, smiling at the albino, who did the same, "Wanna walk home together?"

"Well, I don't mind," Joanna said smiling as she immediately stretched her hand out. Sighing, Ren removed his Jacket and gave it to her. The French smiled more and wrapped it around her shoulders. "I'm keeping this,"

"Oh, come on! That's the third one this month," He said, pouting playfully before taking the playful punch from the girl.

"Shut it, I love jackets," She said, pulling the hood over her head and zipping it up. "Besides, they're comfy and useful as Pajamas," Joanna hummed, giving Ren a piece of candy. "Here, I bought one earlier in the canteen,"

"neat, my favorite," Ren said, looking at the piece of candy in her hand. Taking it, he unwrapped it and popped it into his mouth. "Hmm... mint,"

"Yeah, I bought some for us," Joanna said, a smile on her face before walking ahead of him. "Hey, Ren?"

"Hmm?" Ren looked at the albino who smiled at him.

"Did you ever wonder what it would be like to have powers?" Joanna asked, looking at her childhood friend. "Because I do. I can imagine myself using fire powers and burning everything on sight with dragons on my beck and call," The young woman smiled before posing proudly. "I also imagine you by my side as we take over the world and eat some ice cream,"

"Oh? Then what did my powers do huh? Did I shoot lasers out of my eyes? Did I have some awesome powers where I took over the world while shouting Deus Vult!" The young man said with a smile posing like a Jojo character with lesser muscle mass.

"Well, you did use mirrors," Joanna said, a smirk on her face as she looked at her friend. "Don't worry, it might not be much but you will do many things with it," She said, jumping o his back. "Now, onwards my loyal steed!"

"Like you don't already ride me," Ren cheekily replied, earning a blush from the white-haired young woman. Smirking, Joanna just playfully poked his cheek.

"You love it," She shot back before jumping down and kissing him on the cheek. "But seriously, what if we just got summoned to another world one day?"

"Who knows?" Ren said, shrugging as he looked at her with a smile.

Ren tiredly groaned a he looked up at the sky.

"Hold on! Ren!" Huh? Who was that? that voice, it was familiar to him. Light assaulting his eyes, Ren's vision was hazy and shaky. What is happening?

"Hello, 911!" the voice called out once again. Vision clearing, Ren looked up to see the teary-eyed Joanna. Why is she crying? Why is she sad?

I remember now.

We were on a date, and I was running late. I decided to take the normal route and took the train to get there faster as Joanna got there earlier than I by an hour or so. Seeing her, we went on our date and when we were heading home, there was a car chase. Things went by so fast and before I knew it, a truck was in front of us. I reacted and pushed Joanna away. The truck moved so fast that when it hit me, I was sent tumbling on the ground several times, luckily I was able to breakfall but it hurt so much!

"Ren, please! D-don't leave me!" Joanna cried out, holding the young man close to her, cradling his head on her lap, tears falling from her eyes. Weakly reaching in, the young man wiped a tear from her eyes.

"H-hey, c-crying doesn't suit you," Ren weakly replied before pushing himself up by sheer willpower. Panting heavily as he looked at the puddle of blood under him, he smiled at her before rubbing her head. "So this is what dying feels like," He said, coughing out blood making Joanna cry more and hold him close.

"I'm sorry," Joanna sobbed, looking down as she held the young man close, not caring about the blood getting on her clothes.

"Hey, tell mom, I'm sorry that I wasn't such a good son," Ren said weakly with a smile, making Joanna look at him with tears on her eyes, "Tell Rain, I'm sorry for being a bad big brother," Ren said, tears forming around his eyes. "I'm sorry for being so stupid,"

"R-ren?" Joanna asked, holding the young man closer.

"Tell them, tell everyone," Ren said, coughing out more blood. "Thank you... for loving someone like me who is good for nothing... and up till this day... Thank you!" Ren said, tears falling out of his eyes. Not able to take it anymore, Joanna cried, pulling him for a kiss. Their last kiss tasted like blood.

"Thank you... Joanna," Ren said a peaceful smile on his face before falling forwards,

'So this is death, huh? Feels nice. Well, I guess it's off to hell with me for all the shits and giggles I caused,'

Falling into the Abyss, Ren's soul slowly floated to the bottom, and when he hit the ground he found himself in a white room.

"It seems like your journey has ended far before it could begin," A young man's voice said. Looking up, Ren saw a young man clad in black armor, a helmet hiding the upper part of his face, a kind smile as he gazed down on him.

"Who are you?" Ren weakly called out looking at the young man.

"I am," The man said. Hearing nothing, Ren merely looked at the young man, pain filling his body and brain.

"Young man who bears the name of a cross, I grant you my power. Be the one that shields all the bonds you will make," The man in black armor said as he started to glow, disappearing into golden motes, revealing a white orb that slowly flew on his chest, forming black armor around his body

"That dream again?" A young man said, groaning as he stopped resting his head on the counter, stretching with a light groan.

"What dream nya?" Looking to his side, he looked at his friend, Anya Fromel. The catgirl was using his cloak as a blanket.

"Nothing sensible," Ren groaned before standing up and with shaky knees. He was dressed in a pair of black pants with shoes, a loose hoodie he had specifically ordered, and a necklace with a shield pendant. He had a pair of bangles with some sort of gemstones in them.

"I just dreamt of Ryuu taking care of me," Ren said, catching Anya's attention. "But it wasn't her,"

"How so, Nya?" Chloe asked, coming out of his cape beside Anya.

"She has big breasts, Besides, we all know that Ryuu is as flat as a board-," He was hit playfully by the elf in question on the head.

"You might be my friend, Cruz, But I won't hesitate," The elf said, cracking her knuckles. She was dressed in her casual clothes along with the other employees of the bar.

"Say that before hitting me," The young man groaned before holding his head, checking for lumps.

"I can. But I won't," Ryuu cheekily said with a smile before handing him an icepack. Taking it, he held it on his head to lessen the pain.

"I think I drunk too much,"

"I guess drinking beer can still get you drunk," Ryuu said, sitting on a chair she put down beside him.

"It can, but it should be a lot," He answered before sighing. "Are you sure it's fine for me to be here?" Ren asked as he looked at Anya, Chloe, and Lunoire sharing his cloak and using it as a blanket. Ah, it ripped.

"It's fine, Mama Mia knows that you will be staying here," She said, smiling before brewing coffee for the two of them. "Besides, You're technically a tenant here due to the number of times you, sleep or help out here,"

"Well, I mostly spend many hours eating, drinking, or helping out here when I'm free," Ren said with a shrug before taking the coffee from Ryuu. "But still, I know I have been a regular here for five years now, but Mia should not just let me stay here for parties," Ren said.

"Please, we both know that you will be too scared to do something to us," Ryuu said with a smirk before elbowing his side gently.

"I'll have you know that if I want to, I can make out with Chloe behind your back," Ren said with a smirk before sighing at the raised brow from the elf. "Yeah, She is too obsessed with Shotas,"

"Well, on the bright side... I got nothing," Ryuu said, shrugging as she looked away.

"I swear, I have the worst luck in anything other than survival or my adventures," Ren said before taking another sip.

"Are you going on an expedition again?" Ryuu asked curiously.

"Yeah, I can head to the 50th-floor solo nowadays," Ren said before taking a sip. "I can't believe that I became an adventurer for this long,"

"You're sounding like an old man," Ryuu said, a smirk on her face before softening. "I still remember when we first met,"

"Yeah, it might be fate, but I never will regret meeting you back then," Ren said with a smile, looking at the coffee in his hand.

"A dumb ass older than me getting lost in a straight path and ended up in Daedalus street," Ryuu said with a smile.

"Not my proudest moment," Ren said with a smile before standing up. "I gotta go," Ren said, thanking her for the coffee. Reaching the door, he was about to leave when Ryuu called out to him.

"Ren," Ryuu said with a smile before handing him a knitted muffler. "Take care,"

"Yeah, I'll be back in one week," Ren said with a smile, wrapping the muffler around his neck. Smiling, he reached his hand out, clenching it. Seeing it, Ryuu just shook her head and smiled before bumping it with her own.

Don't worry, I will still be uploading my other stories but I will focus on this and my RWBY Jaune Arc reaction fic, An Arc-Hive's view chronicles.

Also, feel free to comment with your suggestions and requests, I'll try to grant them.

Also, Ren is in any way, shape or form a Gary Stu and I will try to keep him from being one. They are nice and all but it always ends up poorly and gets boring easily.
