Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back for another story or such. This one about Star. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own SVFOE, Disney and a few others do.

"So… How are things?" The one soldier said to another to which he hummed. "Any different, Quinn?" The soldier asked as the soldier looked over at his sword.

"Same as they were the last time you asked, Horst." Quinn stated as he brushed a hand over his golden armor. "Why do you keep asking?" Quinn asked while putting his weapon away.

"Because I'm bored." Horst stated which caused Quinn to raise his eyebrow under his helmet.

"And your telling me this because…?" Quinn asked as he crossed his arms. "Horst, this is becoming tiresome…" Quinn said while rubbing at his temples.

"You're the one who was pumped about the idea of being bodyguards!" Horst yelled which was greeted with a sigh as he turned and looked to the side.

Yes, Quinn did enjoy the act of being one of the hundreds of Mewni citizens who were now knights. Many were not piloting the several story tall Solarian armors.

These foot soldiers usually wore golden armor with sun like symbols emblazoned on it. A reference to their queen: Solaria the monster carver… Or at least, current queen as her daughter would soon take over in a few years.

However? With all armies came bodyguards, soldiers dedicated to protecting the royal family… Even if said royal family didn't see much practical use for soldiers… At least ones that they were easily stronger then.

Quinn and Horst were two such royal guards. They were tasked alongside others who they swapped with on shifts for an important duty.

"So, guarding princess Eclipsa." Horst said as he twirled his mace. "That's a thing." Horst added as Quinn merely bowed his tassel wearing head.

"Yes, it's a thing… Just like fighting monsters is a thing." Quinn said while a crack was heard. "This armor is less comfortable then I thought. It hurts my neck a bit to wear. I can't believe they said you break it in. You don't break this stuff in." Quinn muttered while looking around.

"You think it will be interesting?" Horst asked as Quinn looked at him. "I heard the princess doesn't enjoy fighting. She doesn't think the monsters are… Monsters." Horst put in while Quinn waved his hands back and forth slightly.

"That's kinda why she has guards like us, Horst." Quinn pointed out while raising an eyebrow once more. "Besides, she's entitled to her own opinion…. Even if we might not agree with it. Our job is to guard the princess, remember? We took an oath." Quinn said while they continued their walk towards the royal chambers of their charge.

"Your still sounding nervous!" Horst said with a smile as he nudged Quinn.

"You'd sound nervous if you were meeting the future queen!" Quinn hissed as he turned to look at his partner. "Besides, everyone else is busy… Doing stuff or something important." Quinn stated as he dropped his hand to his holster.

"Yeah, fighting monsters." Horst responded as he raised his hand. "Princess Eclipsa? Me and Quinn…" Horst started to say before Quinn elbowed his partner in the ribs.

"He means we're here to protect you, princess." Quinn said before turning to Horst. "Are you trying to get us in trouble with the queen?!" Quinn questioned as he shook his head from side to side.

Quinn looked to the side. He wasn't so much mad at his partner as worried. He knew their current queen was hard at work fighting, but he didn't much know Eclipsa. He was an older teenager. For all the soldier knew? Eclipsa could tell her mother that they were being too relaxed and have them reassigned.

Quinn took a deep breath under his golden armor as he turned to Horst. Horst straightened up for a moment and then looked to the ground, not expecting anything to really change.

"This is going to be a long day… Isn't it?" Horst asked before Quinn shrugged at his partner.

The doors started to open as both stood at attention. Quinn was given a small look by Horst which caused him to hum in amusement

He didn't know what would be coming next. If he did? It would be shocking to know that he'd be having some insane adventures with the future queen of darkness.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that these chapters will be spread out for now. Next chapter will be in May or such and will be 900 words or such. I might not make this story romance or such. Next chapter might be delayed or such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
