"Is this seat taken?" Lilith looked up from the book she was reading at the man who sat down at her table in a little cozy café in Prague.
"Now it is. But please, sit yourself down." she snarked, making a hand motion.
"I'm sorry for interrupting you, miss?" he apologized, asking for her name.
"Lilith." she answered politely.
The man smiled at her, barely hiding his surprised face "I'm Valentine. Valentine Morgenstern"
Smiling at him, barely interested, Lily nodded her head and went back to her book.
She has just gotten her masters at Marketing and has been focused on enjoying her life. After the war with Voldemort, she has claimed her ladyships of Potter, Black and Peverell and said goodbye to her friends, the Weasleys and Teddy. She couldn't bare to be in England anymore. She felt alone.
So she left, and to be honest, life has been great since then. Except for this little thing with Deathly Hollows. Apparently, she is immortal. Because she broke the Elder Wand, Death has deemed her competent to "rule" by his side, as his Mistress, though she has the title of a Queen of Death. She is not exactly sure why.
Valentine looked at this petite dark haired woman with red highlights and beautiful emerald eyes. Truth be told, he found her immensely beautiful and somewhat similar to his wife. Or ex wife, now since she ran from him with his child.
This woman's name being Lilith was something that surprised him. The demoness Lilith has already told him to stop his obsession with Jocelyn, that he will find someone better, darker, stronger, with family morals that surpass Jocelyn's. She will help him get Clarissa back, and bear him a child stronger and more powerful than any Shadowhunter. He will know exactly when he finds her.
And now, Valentine can't help but think this is it. She is the one.
He wants her.
He needs her.
He has to get to know her.
"I'm sorry, I'm being rude, am I?" Lilith asked as she looked up from her book, gently closing it and setting it back on the table.
Looking up at the white haired man, she smiled awkwardly.
"No, not at all. So, how come you are here? I noticed you are British, correct?" he asked, genuinely interested.
She smiled at him, noticing how handsome he is. White blonde hair, dark eyes, muscles underneath the black shirt, dark tattoos on his neck and peaking from beneath his shirt. "Yeah, I actually moved here and finished my masters in the University here. How about you, American?"
Valentine smiled, noticing how her eyes light up when she speaks, they sparkle so beautifully. "I'm actually European, I was born in a little state near France, but I moved to the US with my cousins when I was young."
Lilith was about to answer when she saw Hermione and Teddy waving at her from the outside of the café.
She quickly waved back and nodded her head at them.
Valentine looked outside and saw a woman Lilith's age and a child.
"You have to go?" asked Valentine, sad about the beauty leaving.
"Oh, yes. My best friend and my godson are here. Sorry." she apologized. Lilith was sad about leaving, but she has to know if she will see him again.
"Will I see you again?" she asked.
Valentine smiled brightly "You will. Here is my address. We can have a dinner date tomorrow night if you are free?" he asked, handing her the paper with his address.
"A dinner date?" she asked, biting her lower lip, her eyes smiling.
"Unless you don't want to. Then it's just dinner." Valentine nervously answered.
He honestly shouldn't be this nervous. He was never nervous around women.
"A date sounds wonderful." smiled Lilith, picking her bag up from the table, she kissed him on the cheek and left the coffee shop.
