Terriermon's Tea Time

Author Notes: It's Easter time! One of my fav holidays involving one of my favorite animals. RABBITS~ I. LOVE. RABBITS! So time to bring in a character I have not thought of in years. And Sen really likes this season so-win/win lol. Welp...I do not own Digimon. Enjoy~

3rd P.O.V

The clock was ticking, and a morning unlike most was beginning to take shape. "Henry I beg of you-don't do this to me!" If there was anyone to walk in on the sight taking place in Henry Wong's bedroom right then and there...well there would most certainly be concerns.

"Please Terriermon. It'll just be for a few hours-then you can hide in my room all you want ok?" Though in this day and age it was pretty common for there to be toys that talk, however most don't argue back with their owners. "NO! Why can't I just stay in your room? I don't like playing with Suzie!"

But that's due to the fact that the little white and green rabbit that was in fact a digimon, not a toy. Of course trying to explain to Henry's-er rather anyone, let alone family that there are digital creatures that could walk, talk and fire projectiles that can cause explosions would be a bit of a problem.

So it was much easier to go with the stuffed animal story. "We need to get the house clean and decorated before the rest of the family arrives. For that to happen we need her distracted." It was Easter Sunday, a holiday all about food, cute decorative eggs and family mingling.

But before that comes endless, important chores that need to get done. Everyone in the Wong household has a role to play when it comes to hosting holidays or special gatherings. Even little fluffy, talking digimon.

"And don't tell me you don't like her, I've caught you sleeping in her arms while watching tv." Terriermon's job is to keep the little girl occupied and out of the way while everyone else gets their stuff done. "What? I-I don't know what you're talking about!" The blue haired teen offered his friend a knowing smirk.

One that left the long eared creature unable to meet his gaze. "Got the pictures to prove it." Those little cuddle sessions were in all honesty adorable. And Henry made sure to have photos handy for situations like this.

However before he could say anything else there was a loud knock-startling the pair. Immediately Terriermon sat against the bed, going into his designated 'stuffed mode.' And it was just in time too as the door opened, revealing Mrs. Wong. "Henry?"

He gave his mother a nervous grin as he waved at her. "H-hey mom!" She gave him a look over with narrowed eyes. Making the teen very nervous as both he and his...plushy got rather loud just now during their argument. "Henry..." He was already racking his brain for whatever excuse he could come up with.

A lie, a distraction-anything for the interrogation he knew he was going to be receiving. "Your room is an absolute mess! I thought I told you to clean it before the guests arrive?" Or not. It was a minute of silence as he absorbed his mother's words, before his body jolts.

With a nervous chuckle he scratches the back of his head as he glances at his closet. "Uh yeah! You did. And I did. Of course I did, but after I cleaned it I couldn't find the boxes you wanted me to store until tonight so I went looking for them? And in doing so I uh, made a mess. Sorry?"

He was a terrible liar. But it was good enough to fool her. At least right now. She had too many other things on her mind to accept his rather weak explanation. And he was sure he heard very faint snickering a bit away from where he stood.

Not helping his anxiety in the slightest. "I'm giving you half an hour before I come check up on you. And it better be clean! We have a lot to do today and unless you want to be grounded for the next week I'd suggest you get to it."

With a huff she shuts to door, unable to see her son collapse onto his knees in sheer relief. That was way too close. "I like that idea Henry-let's get grounded! Here, let me help make a bigger mess~" Of course he would want to get in trouble.

It wouldn't be him getting punished. And as much as Henry would love to stay stuck at home with all of his tech confiscated for a week, he really had better things to do. Taking a huge breath in an attempt to calm his racing heart he gets to work.

He ignores the little long eared gremlin and picks up his belongings. Rolling his eyes as he hears whines of protest, this was getting ridiculous now. "Terriermon...I still need you to entertain Suzie. Please." Returning the two of them to the previous conversation before they got interrupted.

"No way!" The one foot creature turns away with a huff. Crossing his arms with his head up high in the air, as if to end the conversation right then and there. But the human boy couldn't give up, not for this. "Please? Just for a little while? It would mean a lot to me..." The poor Terriermon almost caved.

His will wavering at hearing the soft, exhausted tone. Just a little more of a push, that was all it took. "Remember we need to meet up with Takato and Guilliomon tomorrow-and if I can get everything done, mom said she'd give me some money for snacks." One of his ears perked.

Blackmail and enticement was creeping in. Without even meaning to he turned around to face the teen, his mind already wandering towards a sweet themed dreamland. "We can stop by and get cinnamon buns~" That was it, he was caught hook, line and sinker as the rabbit sulked, frowning.

"Fine." His mumble of a response earned him a relieved smile from his favorite human. "Thanks. And I'm sure it won't be that bad. Like I said it's just for a few hours. Momentai." All Terriermon could do was sigh.

He knew that the entire Wong family coming for a holiday gathering was a big deal, but...despite his decision to entertain the little girl, he really wasn't looking forward to it. Sure, she was a good kid, really sweet when he actually thought about her.

That still didn't mean anything when she could be a bit rough during playtime. Or even just carrying him. His toes still hurt from scraping the wooden floors. "Right...momentai." Still maybe this won't be so bad.

Like Henry said there were some days where they would just relax on the couch while she watched tv.

There's always light at the end of a tunnel.

Right?

Well forget about any sort of light unless that light signals his death. Because at this point he was wishing for it. "Would you like some tea Tewwiewmon?" The moment he gets a chance...he is going to kill his tamer.

"Why yes Suzie. I would love some." This was by far the most humiliating thing he's done with the child yet. "Ohh goodie~ Hewe you go!" He regrets everything as tea time has officially begun. Here he was, in a doll's pink polka dot dress, drinking pretend tea with Suzie and a bunch of a her actual toys.

At this point he would rather be carried all over the house in her arms, being dragged across the rough wooden floor then suffer this. Screw 'momentai!' He was a digimon dammit! Scratch that-he was a HE.

Why did she have to put him in such a girly outfit!? Actually now that he ponders while sipping out of his lovely plastic cup-how on earth did she find a dress to actually fit him? "Have a cookie! Mommy made them~" At least he got real food out of this.

"Thank you." ...There was going to be revenge in the near future. Guaranteed. A small sigh left his lips before he went about nibbling on his treat. He just had to hold out for a little bit. Soon she would get tired and take an impromptu nap, giving him some peace until Henry comes to his rescue.

Or even better, Henry pities him enough to where he opens the door to interrupt their little playdate early. "Hey Tewwiewmon? Do you like Henwy?" Suzie tilted her head, completely unaware of the dark aura surrounding her white and green companion.

He may forgive Henry...eventually, however he would never forget the atrocities he has to undergo. "Yeah! He's my best friend. Why do you ask?" It was taking every fiber of his digicode not to snap at her.

She was only a little kid, who didn't understand that he didn't want his ears tied into a ponytail. "I want my own bunny wabbit. It gets lonely when evewyone goes to wowk ow school." At that his data heart clenched with guilt. Immediately he felt bad as he glances towards her slumped form.

For once, there was no smile on her face as she fiddles with her plastic utensils. And it was no surprise to him. Out of anyone here, he was the only one who was aware of how Suzie felt. Even when compared to her parents.

Whether she was aware of him being a real sentient being or simply considered an imaginary friend he couldn't be sure, still she confided in him. Revealing a sadness in her that wouldn't be found usually. Most wouldn't realize how much she struggles trying but can't really relate to her siblings.

Or is constantly feeling like she's being pushed out of the way by her parents every time they come home with papers and phone calls that are too urgent to ignore. Lately these frowning faces pop up more then the cheerful smiles on her face.

Something he needed to address with his tamer after this whole family reunion was done and over with. "Even if you don't get one...I'm still your friend Suzie." He couldn't believe what he was saying. What was wrong with him?

Surprisingly nothing. Mr. Momentai in a dress meant every word he just said. Whether he liked it or not, despite his grievances Suzie was a good kid that needed to know she was loved and cared for. Kids played rough so obviously she wouldn't treat him gently but she does care.

So it was only fair he was there for her when no one else could. "Weally?" He offers her a smile as he hops off his seat. "Yeah! Why don't we watch a movie? We can finish our tea and snacks while we're at it." All traces of sadness left her within seconds.

"Ok!" A bright smile formed on her face as she leaped to her feet. Clapping her hands, she rushes towards her shelf with her little seat. Reaching as high as she can, she stretches her arms up. Grunting as she desperately strains her fingers for one specific dvd she wants to put on.

Her eyes widen with joy as she grabs her prize. "Yes!" With a happy little hum she rearranges her teatime guests, making sure each and every plush along with Terriermon are seated comfortably on her bed. "What did you pick?" Suzie shoots him a grin as she turns the dvd player on.

Leaping onto the bouncy mattress before getting comfortable herself. "I chose Baby Looney Tunes~" It's a few minutes of her snuggling into her blankets next to him before she presses play. It was a cute show, and a simple one that really didn't interest Terriermon all that much.

He could see why she liked it, so he said nothing as she quickly became engrossed in the cheery tune coming from the opening. Giving him a chance to finish his snacks in peace. By episode three Suzie found herself laying down taking a nap. Curling around the sentient digimon with a smile on her face.

Unable to resist the soft smile from forming on his face he gently patted her head in affection. "Momentai Suzie. Night night." It didn't take long for him to shortly follow the little girl into dreamland. Leaving Henry to smirk as he took a picture with his phone, amused by the lovely cuddling session he discovered hours later.

The end

Author Notes: So that went well. At first despite the title and concept I wasn't sure how to go about this one shot. Out of all the digimon series, despite watching all of them, I really only vividly remember and recently watched Frontier.

Tamers, as good as it is, was more of Sen's season lol. Still, I think this was good. It was simple, admittedly a bit short, but I still feel like it works considering what i remember. Ok folks, that's it for now. Thank you all for reading~

If you like this, please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a crap ton to me. Or if you're interested, check out some of the many(many!) one shots I've done as there's a lot there, though be mindful of the spelling/grammar errors lol. See you all next time-Tchao for now.
