Fairy Tail: Mirror of Humanity! (Pic)

A young boy named Pic with a special ability sets out on an an adventure after his father figure and mentor passed away. With a colorful cast of guildmates, Pic soon figures out destiny has chosen him

Episode 0

A bunch of people stand around a closed casket, in the rain. Most people are dressed in dark clothes, but a few wear little more than rags. (Inner monologue of a scrawny, brown haired teen wearing rags. "Guildmaster Ignatio. He wasn't always the most understanding or kind man, but the man was a hero in his own right. I've heard stories about his heroics. He always looked out for his people, so much so that the man was born into nobility, but gave all of his money to the poor. He never treated himself as a better. He wouldn't even use the guildmasters quarters. He took a normal room like everyone else. He was my hero, but now he's dead. He was murdered right inside our own guildhall. I keep expecting him to rise up and say boo, or make a cheesy joke like he used too. It's just not sinking in, he-hes...gone". A brown haired girl (also wearing rags) walks up to him, and takes his hand. He looks surprised, and looks at her. She says nothing, but gives him a hug. He slowly hugs her back, and tears start rolling down his face. After a while, the rain has stopped, and the boy is still standing by the casket. A woman wearing a long black dress walks up to him. "He's not coming back you know" says the woman. "...I know" says the boy. "Then why waste your time staring at a casket" she asks as she takes a hit of a pipe. "Because I'm sad okay" says the boy as he turns to her. The woman takes another hit of her pipe. "He wouldn't want you to be. He'd want you remembering him as he was, and continuing what he started" says the woman. "Well I can't help it...I owed him a lot I could never repay" says the boy. "You're…Pic correct" asks the woman. "H-How do you know my name" asks the boy. "Oh, Ignatio was quite fond of you. He talked about you often. It seemed he considered you a close friend" she says. "How did you know Master Ignatio" asks Pic. "I was another one of his good friends. Perhaps he mentioned me. (Holds out hand in a fancy jester) Lady Midnight" she says. Pic quickly takes her hand. "L-Lady Midnight? I-I had no idea! I'm sorry" says Pic. She laughs. "So amusing. Why be sorry? I'm sure he never told you what I looked like, so you couldn't possibly have known" she says. "Master Ignatio was an interesting man" says Pic. "You were rescued by him if I remember correctly" says Lady Midnight. Pic nods. "I was a slave. Master Ignatio bought and freed a few of us slaves. I'm even trying to learn magic" says Pic. "Oh? It's odd to be in a guild and have no magic. Do you know any material arts" asks Lady Midnight. "Uh...No...actually. I can't fight at all right now actually" says Pic. "Mmm, but Ignatio believed in you, with all of his heart. He swore you were something special" says Lady Midnight. "I know, and that's why I want to make him proud" says Pic. "Well first, you need to learn your magical aptitude. That will determine what type of magics you'll be able to use" says Lady Midnight. "That's just it, all the aptitude crystals started glowing" says Pic. "Impossible. No mage has ever made more than a few glow" says Lady Midnight. "Oh right, Master Ignatio wanted me to prove it to you!...I just don't know how to do that" Pic says as he nervously rubs the back of his head. "Well, my aptitude crystal is unique. It only glows for the people from my village. Only those who can use pure black witch magic can make the crystal glow. You're not from my village, not of darkness, and not female. If you make that stone glow, the gods themselves couldn't convince me you weren't special" she says as she tosses him the crystal. After a few short seconds, it begans glowing and her eyes widen. "I-I...never would have imagined" says Lady Midnight. "Master Ignatio told me not to tell a whole lot of people" says Pic. "Yes, it would be rather bad if other mages found out. They may lash out at you in jeliousy, or kidnap you for themselves. Some may even wish to experiment on you, however, I must insist we let the world know if your powers" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks nervous. "Don't worry. I plan on owning up to my deal with Ignatio" says Lady Midnight. "Deal? What deal" asks Pic. "We made a deal a while back. If you impressed me, I was to join the guild and become your protector and guardian. You may turn to me for guidance if you need" she says as she takes a hit of her pipe. "Are you becoming the new guildmaster" asks Pic. "That I am not. If I remember correctly, Master Ignatio had picked his replacement by hand, however, the council denied his final request, and instead we got a dog of the council" says Lady Midnight. "Who did he pick" asks Pic. "He never told me. Ignatio was odd like that, loved his surprises" says Lady Midnight. "So...what do I do now" asks Pic. "My advice to you would be, form a team, adventure, and raise your rank. You'll need the experience. For now, it seems you have aptitude with any magic, so you should start studying at least 1. Tell me, what kind of magic would you like to use" asks Lady Midnight. Pic thinks. "I'm not sure" says Pic. "Very well. For now, I'll take the liberty of getting you some trainers. I'd like you to at least recruit a partner to back you up for now" says Lady Midnight. Pic nods, and heads inside the guild. The brown haired girl walks up to him. "Are you alright Pic" she asks. "I still can't believe he's gone" says Pic. The girl takes him by his hand, and smiles at him. "I know he was proud of you" she says. "Thanks May, I feel better now" says Pic. "What are friends for" she asks with a slight blush. Pic sighs. "But now I've got to try and form an adventuring team" says Pic. "No! Absolutely not" May says sternly. Pic goes to talk. "No! No excuses! I know you've always wanted to be an adventurer but it's too dangerous" May says. "B-but-" starts Pic. "No no no" May says looking him intently. Pic sighs, and May hugs him. He feels a tear drop hit his shoulder. "You're all I have. All I've ever had. Even when we were slaves, life wasn't terrible because you were there. Please don't do anything to get hurt" she says. Pic doesn't say anything.

Episode 1: Mohawk

After Pic's training, Lady Midnight walks up to Pic. "How did your training go" she asks. "Well, I'm better than I was. I know I could be an adventurer now" says Pic. May overhears, and decides to eavesdrop. "Are you sure this path is the one you want to follow? Being an adventurer is dangerous, and currently, you have no experience, no party, and no supporters. At the moment, the gear you have may be the only thing keeping you alive" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks nervous. "It's not that hard to form a party you know. Simply find some guild mates you like and ask" says Lady Midnight. "Th-then, would you party with me Lady Midnight" asks Pic. She looks surprised. "I'm flattered you asked but I have things to take care of around the guild hall" she says. Pic hangs his head. Suddenly the doors fly open, and a guy walks in. He's got very short black hair, besides a mowhawk down the middle. Pic looks scared. "Hey pip squeak, remember me" he asks. (May's inner monologue) "That's Pic's old bully! Mowhawk". "M-M-Mowhawk" asks Pic. "I keep telling you it's Bodock" yells the guy. He walks up to Pic. "You think this runt can be an adventurer? Look at him, can he even lift the sword" asks Bodock. "Yes, I can" says Pic as he draws it and points it at the guy. May looks surprised, and Lady Midnight smiles. "Well, look who grew a backbone on me. Tell you what hotshot. Earn your fancy new title. Let's duke it out" says Bodock. "Are you kidding? You almost made S class last year! Pic refuse" yells May as she comes out of hiding. "What? Rookie too afraid to earn his stripes" asks Bodock as he pushes Pic back. Pic stands up. "I accept" says Pic. May looks surprised. "You can't! He'll pummel you" she says pleadingly. "I don't want to fight him. I'm terrified, but the monsters out there will be trying to kill me. Even if Bodock doesn't like me, he wouldn't kill another member of Fairy Tail. I've known him long enough to know that" says Pic. "Who says I won't beat beat you until you wish you were" asks Bodock. "Nobody says. I just have faith in you" says Pic. Bodock stays quiet for a moment. "Yeah well, I'll be waiting outside" says Bodock as he walks outside. May looks at Lady Midnight. "This is all your fault! Pic wouldn't have had to do any of this if you hadn't come along" she says. "And he wouldn't have grown any either" says Lady Midnight. "Well maybe he didn't need to grow! Maybe people actually liked him before" May says. "And your saying they don't now" asks Lady Midnight. "O-Of course not" says May. Lady Midnight looks back at Pic, and leads May away. "I think I know what's really troubling you. You're worried about him. I hear you've been with each other for a long time. You're even feeling a little selfish for wanting him to stay" says Lady Midnight. "I...I don't want him to die...why'd you have to get adventuring into his head" she asks as she starts crying. "Because like it or not, Pic has a destiny. I believe there's a reason he can wield all kinds of magic. However, just because he has to leave doesn't mean you have to get left behind" says Lady Midnight. May looks up at her with hope in her eyes. Meanwhile, Pic goes outside, where Bodock waits. "Gotta hand it too you shrimp. I didn't think you'd actually show. Especially after hearing that S class crap. You've got guts" says Bodock. "Not really. I just have to do this. To become an adventurer" says Pic. "Well, no rules. Anything goes. Come at me with everything you've got" says Bodock. Pic rushes up and punches Bodock, which Bodock let happen, then his fist glows red and he punches Pic in the gut, shattering the armor around the impact. Pic heaves, then Bodocks other hand starts glowing, and he delivers a similar blow to the side of Pic's cheek, which makes Pic fly into a nearby wall. "I told you punk! Come at me for real" says Bodock. Pic puts his hand by his chest, and starts healing himself. Bodock rushes at him. "Fireball" says Pic. He holds out his hand, and a fireball shoots straight into Bodock's face. It makes him flinch a bit, but he still delivers a devastating punch to Pic's chest, which makes him fly back into a wall, and spit up blood. It also shatters his armor up top now, and what's left of it falls off. He heals himself again. May and Lady Midnight come out, and May tears up when she sees Pic healing himself with the broken armor laying scattered. "Please stop Bodock! You've already won" yells May. "I don't think so! Physical boost" says Pic. He starts glowing, and he looks down to see he still has gauntlets on. He rushes up with incredible speed. Then he punches Bodock hard in the face, making him fall down. The red on Bodock's fists gets stronger, and he rushes up, and goes to punch Pic. "Requip" says Pic as a shield appears on his arm. Bodock's punch shatters the shield, and snaps Pic's arm, which makes him cry out in pain. May starts crying and rushing at Bodock. "Stop it! Just stop" she yells. Darkness grabs May, and stops her. "Let me go! He's gonna kill him" says May. "Pic wanted this. Even if you don't trust Bodock, trust Pic" says Lady Midnight. Pic heals his arm, and Bodock goes to punch Pic again, but Pic dodges out of the way. Bodock grabs Pic's arm. "Discharge" yells Pic. Lightning discharges from Pic's body, and electrocutes Bodock. Bodock tanks the lightning, and he headbutts Pic in the nose, which knocks Pic unconcious with a nose bleed. "H-He lost" asks May. "No. He didn't. He never stood a chance of actually defeating Bodock. That's not what this fight was about. Pic wanted to prove he could hold himself. I'm sure even Bodock would agree Pic isn't a slouch. He'll do just fine" says Lady Midnight. May looks at Bodock. "What's...he doing to Pic" she asks. They walk over, and Bodock wrote stupid on his forehead. "Oh come on you five year old" says May. "It's more like ten year old. I used a magic marker. It's practically like a tattoo now" Bodock says with a laugh. "WHAT" asks May. "Don't worry, it comes off...somehow" says Bodock. "You big stupid dummy" says May as she starts hitting Bodock. He pays it no attention. "Hey, maybe I'll dip his hand in warm water too" says Bodock "NO" yells May. Bodock smiles and looks down at Pic. "You know, kid wasn't half bad for a rookie. I'm diggin seeing where it goes" says Bodock. "Then-" starts Lady Midnight. "I'm sticking around this hall for a bit. Hell, I may even party up with him" says Bodock. "No! Absolutely not" says May. Lady Midnight walks over to Bodock, touches his neck, and he falls asleep on the ground. She tosses May a marker, winks at her, and walks away. Later that day, they wake up, and Bodock has cat whiskers drawn on his face, as well as dummy written across his forehead. Pic still has stupid on his forehead, but he also looks down and sees a heart drawn on his hand. "Huh? Who drew a heart on me" asks Pic. Bodock looks at him and laughs. "It's still there" he says as he tosses Pic over a mirror. Pic looks. "Awe man, it's in magic marker again isn't it" he asks. Bodock just keeps laughing. Pic looks at Bodock and starts laughing as well. "What" asks Bodock. Pic tosses him the mirror. "When did-May" says Bodock. The two look at each other and laugh again. "You know Pic, I think I like you" says Bodock. "Then, would you join a party with me" asks Pic. Bodock smiles. "Sure. The two of us can kick some real ass together" says Bodock.

Episode 2: Meeting some Members

Pic and Bodock register their partnership, and high five. "Alright, let's go out in the world and kick some ass" says Bodock as he puts on a pair of sunglasses. "Actually, 2 people isn't going to be enough" says Lady Midnight. "B-but you said I'd be okay with a party" says Pic. "2 people isn't much of a party Pic. You honestly believe you and Mowhawk could handle it on your own" asks Lady Midnight. "It's BODOCK" says Bodock. Pic sighs. "Have you met some of the other members of the guild" asks Lady Midnight. "No, not really" says Pic. Lady Midnight takes his hand, which makes him turn a little red. "Then follow me. I'll introduce you to whom I can" she says. She leads Pic over to a man in a suit. He has combed black hair, and a pair of red eyes behind a square pair of glasses. "Ah, Lady Midnight. It's always a pleasure" says the man. A shadowy arm reaches out from behind her and takes her hand. He leans over and kisses it. "Pic, this is a man I've personally known a long time. You can call him Mr. Shadow" says Lady Midnight. "Lady Midnight and Mr. Shadow" Pic asks. Lady Midnight chuckles a little. "If your wondering, it's just a coincidence" she says. Pic nods, and she leads him away. "We didn't talk to Mr. Shadow long" says Pic. "I like the man fine, but I wouldn't trust him. If he ever tries to make a deal with you, refuse immediately" says Lady Midnight. "A-Alright" Pic says in a confused tone. Lady Midnight gets him by a blonde guy. He's wearing a frilly white shirt, with a brown vest over it, while a violin lays on the table beside him. "This is Alko. I'd advise speaking to him if you have any questions about the guild, or Ignatio. They were good friends" says Lady Midnight. "You were friends with Master Ignatio" asks Pic. Alko smiles kindly. "Indeed. May the gods forever watch over him, but enough about the recently passed. I'd rather talk about the world's most talented rookie" says Alko. Pic turns a little red. Lady Midnight smiles at Pic. "There's not much to tell really" says Pic. "Pic is currently trying to form a party, but is having trouble. Would you happen to know anyone" asks Lady Midnight. "There are actually lots of interesting people around here. I'm sure they wouldn't mind partying with you. If you want my best suggestion, Isabella has also had difficulty finding a party" says Alko. Lady Midnight nods. "Your suggestion is appropriated" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks over and sees a weird thing at the bar. It has a metal cylinder body, an obviously fake mustache under a set of googly eyes. It has long hose arms, and a tire for legs. "What's that" asks Pic. "That's GoGo. He's got a few screws loose, litterly" says Lady Midnight. Pic walks up to GoGo. It's arm shoots up, and it's boxing glove hand stops right in front of his face. It opens up, and a pie shoots from the hose and onto his face. Pic wipes the pie off and walks away. "Good call" says Lady Midnight as she leads Pic over a few steps. Suddenly, a woman and 5 kids all drop from the ceiling. They are all gingers dressed like ninja, and out of the kids, only 1 is a girl. "Ah, Lady Hazuna" says Lady Midnight. Pic bows to her. "It's nice to meet you ma'am" he says. "Likewise" she says. "Forgive her for not speaking much. She's a ninja, a person who lives their life by the shadows" says Lady Midnight. "Wow, that sounds so cool" says Pic. "Oh, I know right! It's so fun and-" starts the little girl. Her brothers and mom all just look at her, and she quickly closes her mouth, and makes a zipping motion. "You can't talk as a ninja" asks Pic. "You can, but they try to keep it brief. Someone who is trained to become one with the shadows wouldn't do very well as a chatterbox" says Lady Midnight. Pic smiles, turns to the ninja, and does sign language for "It was nice to meet you". Hazuna looks surprised. Lady Midnight looks at Pic with a confused expression. "Well, I feel bad she doesn't get to talk out loud much, but if she uses sign language, she won't have too" says Pic. "Unnecessary" says Hazuna. "I guess, but don't you want to talk to someone" asks Pic. Hazuna stares at Pic for a moment. She does sign language for thank you, and her and the kids disappear in a blink of an eye. Lady Midnight looks over to see a girl dressed like a magical girl. "Ah, there's Isabella" she says. "Why won't people form a party with her" asks Pic. Lady Midnight goes to talk, but a wooden bird on a spring flies out of GoGo's shoulder, surprising a waitress walking by, and making her shriek a little. She has short brown hair, and is wearing a waitress outfit with a Fairy Tail symbol on it. Isabella spins around in her chair and jumps up. "Come on evil doers, face the almighty hero Isabella" Isabella says as she pulls out a staff with a heart shaped crystal. It glows, and a bunch of stuffed animals rains down. "Oops. That wasn't supposed to happen" she says. "She's officially one of the worst combat oriented members ever to join Fairy Tail, as she doesn't know how to use her magic" says Lady Midnight. "But can't she learn like me" asks Pic. "She COULD, if she had someone to teach her. Unfortunately we don't know any mage who's seen a magic like it. Don't let the adorable dress fool you about her defenses though. It seems to be stronger than any suit or armor I've ever laid eyes on" says Lady Midnight. Pic walks up to Isabella. "Um, excuse me" he says from behind her. She jumps, which makes her tumble back onto the ground, and her magical slipper falls off. "O-o-oh I'm sorry! Here, let me help you" says Pic as he grabs the slipper. He walks over, and offers her his hand, and she looks up at him and instantly blushes. (Isabella's inner monologue). "I-Its like a Fairy Tale! In FAIRY TAIL. Wait, don't jump to conclusions until he-". Pic kneels down and slips the slipper back on her foot. "Eeeei! My prince charming" she squeals. "Huh" asks Pic. Isabella turns a little red. "Uh, I-Im sorry. Did you need something my prince" she asks bashfully. "Uh, yeah. Actually, I was wondering if you'd form a party with me" says Pic. She looks immensely more happy. "OF COURSE" she says exitedly. Soon after, Pic registers Isabella to his party. "Alright, NOW let's go kick some-" starts Bodock. "Your party is still too small" says Lady Midnight. "Seriously" asks Bodock. "I'm not doing this to be mean, but both Pic and Isabella are inexperienced. You're going to need a few members to pull the weight while they get better" says Lady Midnight. Pic sighs, and Bodock groans. "Awe, don't be sad you guys. Positivity is the strongest magic" says Isabella. Bodock scoffs. "Where'd you hear that? A fortune cookie" he asks. Isabella happily nods. "Yep" she says. Bodock sighs again. "This is gonna be a long adventure" he says.

Episode 3: The hots for you

Pic, Bodock, Isabella, and Lady Midnight stand by a gear shop. "Why are we here? We can't even go out yet can we" asks Bodock. "Not yet, but you shattered Pic's armor, not to mention, both of you need to grab some gear too" says Lady Midnight. "I think you coddle him to much. He'll be fine, won't you Pic" asks Bodock. Lady Midnight looks dead serious. "Pic's safety is my highest concern. That's why I'm being extra careful" she says. "Why do you care" asks Bodock. "I want him to be safe too" says Isabella. Bodock rolls his eyes. "Fine, you girls enjoy your shopping trip" he says as he headlocks Pic and starts dragging him away. "Mr. Mowhawk! Come back" yells Isabella. Bodock ignores her and gets Pic around the corner. "Why are we leaving" asks Pic. "Because, your letting that lady coddle you too much. The only way she can be more over protective is if she just went out for you" says Bodock. "So, what are we doing" asks Pic. Bodock grins and leads Pic to a building. "After you" says Bodock. "Where are we" asks Pic. Bodock pushes Pic in the door, and instantly he sees a bunch of girls dressed in skimpy outfits. Pic quickly covers his eyes. "W-We can't be here" says Pic. "We're both adults, this is an adult club. We're right at home in here" says Bodock. Pic doesn't uncover his eyes. Bodock pushes him back into a girl, and he lands right on her cleavage. "I-Im sorry" says Pic as he jumps back and bows a bunch. She smiles. "Awe, how adorable. Is this your first time sweetie" she asks. "Yep. Kid's got a lot to learn" says Bodock. The woman bends over, and all the guys whistle, but she doesn't pay it any mind. Instead, she offers Pic her hand. "Come on handsome, I don't bite" she says. Pic takes her hand, and she helps him up. "Do yourself a favor sweetheart. Don't hang around guys like him, or girls like me" she says with a wink as she walks away. A girl with wild blonde hair covering one of her eyes sits nearby. She's wearing a small black shirt, just big enough to cover her chest, and a pair of really short shorts. She stands up, and walks over by Pic. She walks by, and gently rubs her hand across Pic's butt, which makes him turn red. She gets up on a stage, grabs onto a poll, and starts doing some very erotic dancing. "She looks new" says Bodock. "Please tell me you don't come in here that often" says Pic. Bodock smiles, and Pic shakes his head. He turns back to the girl, but turns right back away. "Th-thats not how you eat a banana" Pic says. "Come on kid, wouldn't you rather hang out with these girls than go on a shopping trip" asks Bodock. Pic hides his face in his hands again, and a bunch of girls smile at him. "I hate to break it too you, but being nervous about it only get them more" says Bodock. Pic rushes off into the crowd. "Okay, I might have went a tad too far" says Bodock as he rushes after Pic. Pic squeezes through people until he sees a door and runs through it. He quickly closes it and takes a sigh of relief. He looks up too see a bunch of girls smiling at him, and a blonde girl dressed like a nurse grabs him and pulls him into the crowd. "This is that shy boy that was by the door right" asks the blonde girl. "He's definitely a criminal for stealing my gaze" says a girl with brown hair dressed like a cop. A fireball flies by the girls, and they let go of Pic. "Sorry bitches, he's mine" says the blonde girl as she walks in and up to Pic. "Th-there's some kind of mistake! I-I didn't-" starts Pic. The girl reaches behind and grabs Pic's butt again. "Just like I thought. You're a complete package" she says. "And who says you get to be the one to unwrap him" asks the girl dressed like a nurse. The girl grabs Pic and pulls him in and kisses him. He pulls away as soon as she starts. "What? Is it not hot enough for you yet" she asks as she grabs her shirt. The door flies open, and Bodock rushes in. "Aha. You did like the banana trick" says Bodock jokingly as he sees the girl. "Help me" says Pic. The girl stands up and her hands start flaming. "This isn't exactly what I had in mind for a hot night, but I'll save my dessert for last" she says. Bodock sighs. "Well, I can't hit girl" says Bodock as he turns around. "Y-you're not gonna leave me are you" asks Pic. Bodock quickly spins around, rushes over, grabs Pic, and starts rushing towards the door. A girl dressed like a teacher hurries up and blocks the door. "Sorry in advance Pic" says Bodock. "For what" asks Pic. Bodock's hands glow red, and he throws Pic as hard as he can. Pic crashes into the girl, and through the door. Bodock rushes out, grabs Pic, and starts rushing away. The blonde girl runs out. "Well don't just stand there! If I lose him, so do all of you" she says. The girls all attack Bodock, but he rushes through it, and charges right through the front door. "I have got to start taking you more places" says Bodock as they start rushing off. The blonde girl rushes out, and sees them getting away, but smiles. "Fine. I'll find you though" she says. The next day, Pic wakes up with her in his bed staring at him. He screams, and rolls out of bed with a crash. "You're so vulnerable when your sleeping. I could have done anything I wanted in those 6 hours and 32 minutes" she says. "H-How did you-" starts Pic. She sits up, and he can see a Fairy Tail emblem on her side. "You can't escape me that easy, especially since I know what your worth now" she says. "Worth" asks Pic. "A mage who can use any magic? I originally just thought you'd be a fun little 1 night stand, but now I'm gonna be on you like a strap on" she says. Pic hears some muffled yelling, and looks under his bed to see May under there. "I tied up your girlfriend by the way. I think she might have liked it more than I-" starts the girl. Pic ungags May real quick. "You better leave gold digger! No girl is getting with Pic just because of that! He deserves love" says May. "I'll give him whatever he wants, and he should know, I'm willing to be a very bad girl" she says. Pic pulls May out, and cuts the ropes. She hugs Pic as soon as her hands are free. "Your girlfriend could join too. I warn you though, if she's in, she's having fun too" says the girl. "I-Im not his girlfriend" says May. The girls walks over, quickly grabs Pic and kisses him. "Then I suppose you don't mind I did that" she asks. May looks like she's about to pop with jeliousy, but says nothing. The girl then grabs May, and kisses her too, which surprises May. After a few seconds, May pulls away and gasps for air. "W-why would you do that? I can still feel your tongue" says May. "You didn't pull away right away" the girl says flirtingly as she walks out. Pic and May both sit there in shock. Later, Pic sits at a table with Bodock, May, Isabella, Lady Midnight, plus Hazuna and her kids. He sighs. "I still don't know who to ask to join me next" says Pic. "You could always ask that girl-" starts Bodock. "NO" yells May. "It's okay Pic. These things don't happen over a night you know" says Lady Midnight. "It shouldn't be too hard. You are the most powerful rookie after all" says Bodock. A laugh is heard, and everyone looks to see a blonde girl in fancy clothing standing there. On her face is a pair of glasses. "I can't believe you're the one who master Ignatio put his confidence in" she says. "Why not" asks Pic. "Because you're a foolish child running around trying to become what you are not" she says. Pic stands up. "With all due respect, I think your wrong. Master Ignatio believed in me. Lady Midnight believes in me, and now I've got friends who believe in me too" says Pic. The girl laughs. "You say that like you intend to do something about it" she says. Pic pulls out a gloves and throws it at her. "Y-You realize what this means don't you" she asks. "It means I challenge you to a duel" says Pic. She laughs again. "You-you must be stupid" she says as she continues to laugh. Pic looks over to see May looks really worried. "Hey kid, you should really watch who you challenge" says Bodock. "Why" asks Pic. "Because she's an S class wizard" says Bodock.

Episode 4: Water Goddess Celine

Pic looks nervous as he's sitting at a table with his head buried in his hands. A girl with longer blonde hair rushes from table to table picking stuff up, and at last comes to Pic. "Do you have anything to throw away" she asks. Pic doesn't answer. She lightly touches his arm, and he spins around and looks at her, which makes her jump. "O-Oh I'm sorry. I'm new" she says. "Oh! N-No, it's okay. I was just thinking" says Pic. "Hey, Alice. You're good to take a break" says a woman behind a bar. She has short brown hair and square framed glasses. "Do you wanna talk about it? I just got a free minute" she asks. Pic's stomach growls, and her eyes light up. "Hang on, I'll be back. Promise you won't leave until then okay" she asks as she rushes away. Later she comes back with a plate of food. "I-I can't pay for that" says Pic. "It's okay, I made it" she says. Pic looks down at it, and takes a bite. She stares at him intensely. "Well" she asks. Pic smiles and starts eating it quickly. She smiles as he finishes the last of it quickly. "That was so good, I've never had anything better" says Pic. Alice blushes a little and brushes her hair behind her ear. "You don't need to go that far. I know I'm not the best, but I'm hoping if I keep at waitressing long enough, I'll get back in the kitchen someday" she says. "But this is so good! They need you in the kitchen NOW" says Pic. She turns even more red. "I'm kinda glad. You're the first person other than me to eat my food" she says. "Why" asks Pic. "People won't normally eat my food because of my boss" says Alice. "The lady at the bar" asks Pic. "No, she's just a coworker with a little more pull than me. My boss WAS guildmaster Ignatio" she says. "You knew master Ignatio" asks Pic. She sighs. "Yeah. He told everyone my food was terrible" she says. "Why would he do that? It's so good" says Pic. "Alright Alice, breaks over. We have more people coming in" says the girl at the bar. "Oh, it was nice talking with you" says Alice as she stands up and rushes off. Later that night, Pic sits by some training dummies. The girls words echo in his head. "Why would master Ignatio say her food was bad" Pic asks himself. Pic feels a set of arms wrap around him gently from behind. "Lady Midnight" Pic says without turning around. She looks surprised. "How'd you know that" she asks. "I don't know, it's weird, I never get scared of you, even if you surprise me" says Pic. "I'm glad. You're the one person in the world I'd never harm" she says. "...Lady Midnight...was...master Ignatio an honest man" asks Pic. Lady Midnight looks surprised by the question. "Why do you ask" she asks. "I met a girl today. She's an amazing cook, but she told me master Ignatio said her food was terrible" says Pic. Lady Midnight doesn't say anything for a moment. "Do you trust me" asks Lady Midnight. Pic nods. She rubs his head, and relaxes it on her chest. "Then for now, believe me when I tell you this. I'll tell you everything and anything you want to know someday" she says. Pic nods, and stands up. "Where are you going" she asks. "I-I just need a minute" he says as he walks away. Lady Midnight watches him with sad eyes as he gets around the corner. "I'm sorry. I'll tell you when I'm able" she says quietly. Meanwhile, Pic stands there with his face beat red. He imagines her pulling him into her chest, and her breasts pushing against his head, which makes him turn red and cover his face. The next day, Bodock shakes Pic awake. "Jeez, about time already. You're fight is about to start and you aren't even ready" says Bodock. Pic's eyes widen. "I-I forgot about the fight" says Pic. He hurried up, throws on his new set of armor, grabs his sword, and rushes out into the training yard. The S rank girl stands there tapping her foot. "I can't believe I woke up at 6 am to train, only for you to sleep in to the last minute. It seems you're a slacker as well" she says. Pic sighs. "I'm sorry" he says. Pic looks over and sees Alice in the crowd of people waving at him. He waves back to her, and suddenly, Hazuna walks up to him. She pats his shoulder, and as she moves her arm down, she hands him a piece of paper. She walks away, and he opens it and reads it. "My opponent is my best weapon...huh? What does that mean" he asks himself. Bodock looks around in the crowd. "Who are you looking for" asks Isabella. "May, I figured she would have been here before anyone" says Bodock. "Yeah, it is a little strange for her to miss a anything involving my prince" says Isabella. "Lady Midnight isn't here either. That's reeeeeally weird" says Bodock. The flirty blonde girl walks up behind Bodock and Isabella. "What do you want" asks Bodock. "I thought this was big sexies little cheering section" she says sarcastically. "Why don't you cheer for the girl" Bodock asks. "Because I'll cheer for whoever the hell I want too" she says. "Now hear me, I'll give you this chance to leave. You should take it, as you'll only get the one" says the S class girl. Pic readies himself, and narrows his eyes. "Oooh, he's not scared Celine" a guy in the crowd says. "Very well. Have your fight then, but be warned. I have the power of a goddess behind me" she says. Everyone backs up a bit. "Water goddess, aqua cannon" says Celine as she holds out her hand. A ball of water shoots straight into Pic, and sends him flying back into the crowd. Pic gets caught, and looks up to see Mr. Shadow looking down at him. "A pleasure to see you again my boy. Do try to remember your own powers in this battle" says Mr. Shadow. Before Pic can speak, Mr. Shadow pushed him back out into the circle. "Fireball" says Pic as he holds out his hand. A fireball shoots from his hand, but Celine water whips the fireball away. "Amateur, water will always put out the flame" she says. She holds up her hand. "Water goddess, aqua needle rain" she says. A bunch of watery needles hit Pic, and make him look like a pin cushion. He feels a pulse in his body, and he drops down. "Each one of those needles sucked a little Mana from Pic. With all of them being a successful hit, he's suffering a huge Mana crash" says Bodock. "You don't seem worried" says Isabella. "I don't really care if he wins or loses. The kid had the guts to stand up against his childhood bully, and now he's taking on an S class wizard. He's already the winner in my book" says Bodock. "Awe, that's sweet" says Isabella. Pic's vision darkens. He looks over at Bodock, Isabella, the flirty girl, Hazuna, Alice, and Mr. Shadow all giving him encouraging smiles. Pic's vision goes back to normal and he stands back up. "How" asks Celine. (Celine's Inner monologue) "It's almost like his friends are giving him Mana. I've never seen anything so amazing". "Alright rookie, let's see how much you can handle, water goddess, JUDGEMENT" says Celine as he holds out her hand. A huge piller of water slams down on Pic. "Isn't that a bit far Celine-" starts a guy in the crowd. Celine holds out her arm. "I must see if it's him" she says. Pic is in the piller being crushed by the pressure and can't breathe. (Pic's inner monologue) "I can't beat her. Her magic is too strong-" Pic has a quick flashback of Mr. Shadows words, and remembers the note from Hazuna. Pic's eyes widen. His arms glow red, and he slams his hands together, dispelling the water piller. "Was that-" starts Isabella. Bodock smiles. "Hell yeah bud! Now, kick her ass" yells Bodock. Pic holds out his hand. "Water goddess-(Celine's eyes widen) judgement" says Pic. A water piller slams down on Celine and knocks her unconcious. "H-He did it! My prince beat an S class wizard!" Isabella yells exitedly. Pic blacks out right after. "Eh, we'll call it a tie" says Bodock. Pic wakes up in the infirmary with Celine sleeping in a chair by his bed. "Did...she stay here with me" asks Pic. A woman with long grey hair walks in. "Yes. You weren't supposed to have guest, but as soon as miss Celine woke up, she cuffed herself to your bed" says the woman. "Why would she do that" asks Pic. "She's a stubborn girl. She wouldn't take no for an answer. I uncuffed her and threw her out once, but it seems she snuck right back in" says the woman. Pic smiles at her. Celine tosses in her sleep, and Pic shakes her to wake her up. She looks at him, adjust her glasses, and smiles. "(Ahem). I wanted to apologise to you. My behavior was unbefitting" she says. "Your nice Miss Celine" says Pic. Celine blushes a little. "I'm sure you're wrong, but thank you Pic" she says. "Hey…could I ask you a favor" asks Pic. "I suppose I could, depending on what it is. I do owe you after all" she says. "Would you join my party" he asks. Celine blushes. "Er, well yes. I suppose I could help you a little. You are a rookie after all" says Celine. Pic smiles. "Thank you so much" says Pic as he hugs her. She turns beat red. "W-w-well yes, b-but there's no need for the hugging" she says.

Episode 5: Ria

Pic and Bodock walk up to lady Midnight. Okay, now we have 4 and one of them is S class, can we go now" asks Bodock. "No. You should recruit one more, plus, meet some more of your guild mates" says Lady Midnight. "Hey, Lady Midnight, is May alright" asks Pic. "Yes, she's just working hard. I'm sure she'll be done before you leave" says Lady Midnight. Pic nods. "Well, if it's alright with you, I'm taking the day off. Have fun" says Bodock as he walks away. "Did you have anyone in mind to meet" asks Pic. "Yes, first off, come with me" says Lady Midnight. She leads Pic to a bar, and they walk in. A guy with long black hair, and a long black beard, wearing all black armor sits at a bar with several empty bottles around and a half full one in his hand. "Who's that" asks Pic. "Your guild mate, Creed" says Lady Midnight. "Why isn't he at the guild hall like everyone else" asks Pic. "He normally isn't anywhere but here. A few years before he joined the guild, he lead a whole army of men. During a difficult fight, only 3 men survived. One of those men was Creed. One of the other men died of injuries soon after, and the other took their own life because they couldn't deal with the trauma" says Lady Midnight. Pic goes to walk up to him, but Lady Midnight stops him. "There's no need. He wouldn't talk back anyways. In 3 years the only person Creed has talked to is the bartender, and only to get another bottle" says Lady Midnight. "Then why'd you bring me here" asks Pic. "I wanted to show you what you might become" says Lady Midnight. Pic's eyes widen. "You're not just some adventurer. You're important, and like it or not, you'll have hardships. One day, the day may come when your allies fall and you'll need to push on" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks sad. "I don't want my friends to die" says Pic. "Listen to me Pic, as long as your strong, you can protect your friends, but if the day comes when it's not enough, no matter who you lose, even if it's me, you have to keep going. Great things will come out of you" says Lady Midnight. Pic hugs her, which surprises her. "Promise me you won't die Lady Midnight" he says. She smiles. "That's an unreasonable request. Nobody lives forever" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks up at her with pleading eyes, and she looks back down at him. Her gaze softens, and she embraces Pic. "You have my word, I'll do my best to stay alive. That's all I can promise" she says. Pic nods and smiles. "You have to promise me the same. Losing you is a fate far worse than death for me" she says. "You care about me a lot Lady Midnight" says Pic. She hugs him a little tighter. "More than you'll ever know. Do you promise me" she asks. Pic nods. "I'll do my best to stay alive Lady Midnight" says Pic. Later that day, Lady Midnight takes Pic up to a girl with darker skin and shorter blue hair. "Pic, this is Ria" says Lady Midnight. "It's nice to meet you Ria" says Pic. Ria goes to talk, but the front doors of the guildhall fly open, and an old man with a battle axe on his back walks in. He's got a long grey beard and long grey hair. He's wearing an old worn out suit of leather armor, and has a shotgun hooked to his side. "He looks like trouble" says Pic. "Actually, he's one of ours. He's a veteran knight named Krenis" says Lady Midnight. Krenis drops a horn down on the table. "You're beast is slain" he says. "Alright, here's your payment" says a the girl behind the counter as she hands him some gold. "Alright, now I'm gonna go do what we old timers do best and sleep. I wouldn't mind company though" says the old man. The girl behind the counter laughs. "Your so funny mister Krenis. I hope you enjoy your nap" says the girl. Krenis nods and walks away. "You won't see much of him. He's either doing a job or sleeping most of the time. I suppose I'll introduce you if I can catch him at a good time" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks to see Ria has walked away. "Awe, we didn't get to talk" says Pic. "It's alright. She's not exactly known for being social, I'll track her down. You wait here" says Lady Midnight as she walks away. Pic sits down and waits. Eventually, he looks out the window and sees Ria jump out a window. "Huh, where's she going" asks Pic. He gets up and rushes outside after her. He rounds a corner, and sees a guy grabbing her and holding her against a wall. "Let go, I already told you I'm not-" she starts. The guy pulls out a knife, and Ria's eyes widen. "Fireball" says Pic. He holds out his hand a fireball slams into the guy's face. "Oh shit, I didn't realize you had a boyfriend around" he says as he runs away. "I didn't need your help" says Ria as she walks by Pic and shoulder checks him. "I-Im sorry. My names Pic" says Pic. "I already know. You've got a reputation" she says as she keeps walking. Pic rushes after her. "So, what kind of magic do you use" asks Pic. "None of your business" says Ria. "I'm sorry to pry" says Pic. "Look, we met, now leave me alone. Whatever you want, I'm not giving you" she says. "I don't want anything" says Pic. "Yeah right" says Ria as she rounds a corner. Pic goes to walk around the corner, but a lightning fist slams into his gut. "I told you to leave me alone" she says. "Wow, that was a cool trick" says Pic. "What's your problem? Do you have some weird fetish" Ria asks. "N-No. I'm just trying to get to know you" says Pic. "You don't need to know me. It's not any of your business" says Ria. "I'm sorry" says Pic. "Stop apologizing. It's annoying" says Ria. "I'm sorry-wait, I didn't mean-well, I did but-" starts Pic. Ria sighs. "Fine. What do you want to know" she asks. "I don't know, tell me stuff you want me to know about you" says Pic. "I don't want you to know anything. There isn't much to know about me anyways. I'm a lightning brawler, I like to paint and I don't open up easy. Yes I'm single, no I won't go out with you, I don't have any money, and no, I don't have a hot sister to hook you up with" she says. "I-Im not asking you out. I'm just trying to get to know my guildmates" says Pic. "Well, you don't peg me as a very good liar, so I'll believe you for now. That doesn't mean I want to talk to you now though" she says. "I know...hey, miss Ria, why don't you like talking to people" asks Pic. Ria looks surprised. "That's none of your business" she says as she walks away. Lady Midnight walks up to Pic afterwards. "Well, how'd it go" asks Lady Midnight. "Lady Midnight, I wanna asks Ria to join my party" says Pic. Lady Midnight nods. "I thought you might. She won't be easy to win over though" says Lady Midnight. "I want to try. I want her to be able to open up" says Pic. "Then I wish you luck. This is your last test. After this, you can become a full fledged adventurer" says Lady Midnight. Pic nods. Meanwhile, Ria is walking down the street, when a man walks up to her from behind and grabs her. He's a pale man with a top hat and suit. He's wearing a pair of circle glasses, and has crazy white hair. "Ria my dear. You didn't think you could run forever did you" he asks. She looks fearful. "I told you, I'll chase you to the ends of the world" says the guy as he starts dragging her away. Bodock is walking down the street and sees her being dragged. "Hey asshole, let go of the girl" says Bodock. The guy smiles, and Bodock's eyes turn black, and he falls to the ground. "I have to admit, you're tricky. It's hard to find someone who avoids people, but we both knew you'd never get away" he says as he continues dragging her.

Episode 6: Finally ready

Pic walks down the street and finds Bodock laying there. He walks over, and rolls him over to see his eyes are still black. "Wh-what happened" asks Pic. Later, Pic stands over Bodock with the rest of the guild, after moving him to the guildhall. "It appears to be a curse of some sort" says Lady Midnight. A man in glasses places his hands on Bodock, and his eyes return to normal. Bodock shoots up. "Mowhawk's alive" says Pic. "It's BODOCK" says Bodock. "So, what happened" asks Lady Midnight. "One of our guildmates was kidnapped by some creepy dude" says Bodock. "The only one not present currently is Ria" says the man in glasses. Pic's eyes widen and he rushes out of the guild hall. "Hey, at least let me show you where dumbass" yells Bodock as he hops up and runs out after him. Isabella and Celine look at each other, nod, and rush out as well. Eventually, Bodock takes the group to the spot he last saw them. "-Then, he smiled and I woke up at the guildhall" says Bodock. "Unfortunately, it doesn't seem he left clues as to where he took her" says Celine. Pic closes his eyes. "Search" he says. He opens his eyes and looks at the alley where Bodock said he saw them by. "There's a trail. She left a trail of skid marks from her shoes" says Pic. "Cool trick, where'd you learn that one" asks Bodock. "I've been studying books about spells" says Pic. "That's an excellent idea" says Celine. "My prince is so smart" says Isabella. Pic and the others follow the trail to a small run down building. "Creepy dude, doing creepy things, in a creepy house" says Bodock. "At least he's sticking to a theme" says Isabella. Pic goes to walk in, but Celine stops him. "You don't know what's on the other side of that door, it could be trapped" says Celine. Pic walks around to the window and sees there's a crossbow trap right on the other side of the door. He chuckles nervously, and the group go in through the window. Once inside, they look over to see the man sitting in a chair in the darkest corner of the room. He smiles, and all 4 of the group fall unconcious. Pic is in a dark world, and can't see anything. "It's...so dark here" he says. "Pic, can you here me" asks a voice that sounds like Lady Midnight's. "Lady Midnight" asks Pic. "You have to break this curse on yourself. It just takes willpower. Think about Ria, she needs you right now" says the voice. "Alright, but how are you talking to me Lady Midnight" asks Pic. No answer. Pic thinks about Ria, and focuses real hard on the thought. Suddenly, his vision clears, and the guy is awe struck. "How did you do that" he asks. Pic doesn't answer, he just stands up and draws his sword. The guy gets up and rushes into another room, which Pic follows. When he gets in there, he has a knife up to Ria's neck, and she looks terrified. "I'm only gonna ask you once-" starts the guy. Pic tosses away his sword. "Good, you already know the drill" says the guy. "Let Ria go" says Pic. "Never. From the moment I saw her I knew she was meant to be mine. She tries to run, but I always find her" says the guy. Pic looks mad. "So it's your fault she's lonely" asks Pic. "Why yes it is. The day I saw her, I fell instantly in love with her, but her snake of a brother wouldn't let me near her, so I had to kill him. (Pic's eyes widen). After that, I told her I would come for her. She'll be mine if I have to kill everyone else" says the guy. Ria tears up a little. Pic pulls out a revolver and points it at the guy. "As if you'd really shoot me" says the guy. Pic's expression doesn't change, he just slowly aims it at the guy's head. "Y-You wouldn't! I'll kill her you know" says the guy. "Now who's bluffing" asks Pic as he cocks the gun. The guy tosses the knife away. His own eyes glow black and he disappears. "I'll still come for you" his voice says after he disappears. Ria just stands there with a blank face. Pic walks up to her, and hugs her without saying a word. She starts crying and sobbing, and hugs him back tightly. Later, the group is on their way back to the guild hall. "Hey, Its not that I warmed up to you or anything, but I wanted to say thanks for saving me. I owe you" she says. "Can I cash it in now" asks Pic. "I knew it. You're asking me out aren't you" she asks. "N-No! I wanted to ask if you'd join my party" says Pic. "A party?...With you" she asks. "I-Its fine if you don't want too" says Pic. "I don't want too-" she starts. Pic looks a little disappointed. "But I'm going too" she says. "What" asks Pic. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Just accept it and let it go" she says as she walks away. Pic smiles real big, jumps, and pumps his fist in the air. "We did it! She joined! We have a party now" Pic says exitedly. Bodock smiles and he and Pic fist bump. "Alright, we're finally ready to kick some ass" he yells. Later that day, Pic, Bodock, Isabella, Celine, and Ria are sitting at a table in a restaurant. "We finally did it guys! We got enough members to head out" says Pic. "Yeah, Pic thought it would be nice to celebrate" says Bodock. "It's all thanks to you Ria" Pic says happily. She turns red. "Yeah, well, just don't mention it okay" she says. "I hope there's room for two more at this party" says Lady Midnight as she and May walk up. "L-Lady Midnight? May" asks Pic. "We heard the good news, plus, I wanted to tell you two pieces of good news. First of, you're now all permitted to take on job quest outside the city" says Lady Midnight. "Hell yeah" yells Bodock. "What's the second thing" asks Pic. May smiles. "I'll be joining your party as well" she says. "You? You can't fight can you" asks Bodock. May smiles at Pic. "She was determined to go with you, so she learned magic so she could go with you" says Lady Midnight. Pic smiles back at her. "Thank you May" he says as he gives her a hug. She smiles, blushes, and hugs him back. Lady Midnight and May sit down, and the group parties on. Eventually, the group leaves one by one until only Pic and Lady Midnight are left. Lady Midnight is clearly drunk, and Pic is helping her walk home. "I'm sorry you had to see me like this" says Lady Midnight. "It's alright" says Pic. Lady Midnight smiles, and Pic gets her inside the guildhall. "I'm not sure I could make it upstairs, would you mind-" starts Lady Midnight. "Of course" Pic says as he helps her up to her room. He opens the door, and helps her over to her bed. She wraps her arms around Pic, and drags him onto the bed too. "L-Lady Midnight" asks Pic. She smiles at him, and slowly drifts off to sleep. Pic notices as she falls asleep, smiles, pulls away, and covers her up with a blanket. "Goodnight Lady Midnight" says Pic. "Goodnight, I love you" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks back at her and sees she's still sleeping. "She's sleep talking. It's actually kinda cute" Pic says. Lady Midnight rolls over and curls up to her pillow, and Pic walks out. "A little midnight rendezvous with miss Midnight" asks Bodock. "What" asks Pic. Bodock smirks. "Come on buddy, you can tell me. She's got feelings for you doesn't she" asks Bodock. Pic looks confused. "Nevermind, I'm sure you wouldn't get it. You haven't with May yet" says Bodock. "What's May got to do with Lady Midnight" asks Pic. Bodock shakes his head. "Forget it" says Bodock as he walks away. Pic looks confused as Bodock walks away. Pic decides to go on a walk, and walks around the guild hall. When he finally gets to the back, he's surprised to see a small building behind it. "I've never seen that door before" he says as he walks towards it. A fat man walks in front of the building. "O-Oh, it's you" says Pic. "Address me properly slave. I am Dahlas of the council, and your acting guildmaster" says the guy. Pic nods sadly. "Now, away with you. You have no reason to be back this way. Even if you did, you don't have permission. This area is for council members and the guildmaster only" says Dahlas. Pic stares at the building. (Pic's inner monologue) "Why do I feel like I need to get in there". "You heard me, away with you" says Dahlas. Pic turns around and walks away, but keeps thinking about the building.

Episode 7: The break in

Pic explains to his party what happened the night before. "So, what your saying is, you want us to break into something we know nothing about? I'm in" says Bodock. "What are you hoping to find Pic" asks May. "Nothing really. I just have a feeling that there's something in there" says Pic. "Well, that's doesn't seem very honorable, but I trust you, so I'm in" says Isabella. "Well, count me out. Traveling with you is one thing, breaking into-" starts Celine. "Do you seriously think I'd suggest this if I wasn't sure of myself" asks Pic. Celine sighs. "Very well, but understand I feel downright dirty for this" she says. "I'm in" says Ria. Everyone looks at May. She sighs. "Alright" she says. Pic smiles. "Thank you everyone" he says. "Don't thank us, simply hope that you aren't wrong" says Celine. That night, the group head around back, and a guard stands watch by the door. "We need a distraction" says Bodock. Ria's hand sparks and she sneaks over to another area. She holds her hand up towards the guard. "Lightning power punch" she says. Lightning in the shape of a fist flies from her hand and slams the guard in the face. A bunch more guards rush out, and starts chasing her. "Guess that works" says Bodock as the group rushes quickly into the doorway. They see a long set of stairs, leading down a long dark hallway. "Luminous" says Pic as he holds up his sword. It starts glowing, and lights the area around them. "Oh, my dashing prince looks so hot with a glowing sword of justice" she says. The group walk down the hallway, and eventually reach an open area, with a bridge that leads across to the other side. As they're walking, something flies down from the ceiling, and shatters the ground beneath them. "Water Goddess Eruption" says Celine. A huge wave of water shoots up, and propells the group to the safer side, however, a chain wraps around Celine, and drags her backwards. Pic looks to see 2 guys standing there. One is a guy with brown hair and bigger muscles, the other is a scrawny brown haired guy with the end of the chain in his hands. "Fools, Water Goddess aqua needle rain" says Celine. A rain of water needles hits the guys, and the scrawny one let's go of the chain, freeing Celine. "CELINE" yells Pic. "Go forth. These fools will know the magnitude of defying a goddess" says Celine. Pic just stands there for a moment. "Pic come on. She's got this. She's an S class remember" asks May as she grabs Pic's hand and pulls him down the path with the others. Eventually they reach a long tube with two seats in it. "Awe, there are only two seats" says Pic. "Fine, Bodock and Isabella can stay here" says May. "What? No way! Let's draw straws to make it fair" says Isabella. Suddenly a powerful beams attack sends Isabella flying back into a wall, however, she looks completely unscratched. "On the second thought (a man walks in the room with white hair and glasses). It looks like there's plenty of action around here" says Bodock. Isabella stands up and holds up her staff. "Just protect my prince okay" she asks. May nods, and she and Pic sit down and get lowered down. As they go down, they can hear fighting upstairs. Pic stares off sadly. "Everyone's fine Pic. Don't worry" she says. Pic nods, and they reach the end. When they get down, there is a huge safe. "Whoa" says Pic. "That's it? It's just a safe" says May. "It's not just some safe" says a guy as he walks out. He's got wild brown hair, and has a lazy look to him. "What's in it" asks Pic. "That's classified, I will tell you you don't want it" says the guy. Pic looks back at the vault, then back over to the guy. "I still need to know what's in there. Every fiber of my being says I need to get in there" says Pic. The guy shrugs. "Don't let me stop you" he says. Pic and May look confused. "Only one man can open that safe, and he's not even here. Go ahead, throw whatever you've got at it" says the guy as he sits down. "Pic! Use the power of the water goddess" says May. Pic turns to the safe. "Water Goddess judgment" he says. The attack slams down on the safe, but quickly dispells. "That my friend is top of the line anti magic metal. The celestial king himself couldn't break that safe" says the guy. "Let's at least look at it before we give up" says May. Pic and May walk up, and it scans Pic. "Authorization granted" the safe says as it opens. "That's...impossible" the lazy looking guy says. Inside, Pic's eyes widen. A heavily chained and bound little girl is in a tank, with wires running to a table with lady Midnight strapped to it. An old man in a lab coat and Dahlas stand in the middle. "Lady Midnight" yells Pic. Dahlas turns to them. "How did you get in here? Do you have any idea how much trouble your in, this is official council property" says Dahlas. "What are you doing to lady Midnight?! And that little girl" Pic asks. "We needed a powerful mage. We wished to use you, but she was kind enough to take your place" says the old man. Pic's fist clenches. "Your guildmaster Ignatio okayed these experiments when he was alive" says Dahlas. Pic's jaw drops. "Th-thats not true! Master Ignatio was a good person" says Pic. "To you maybe, but many people knew a side of Ignatio you never knew" says Dahlas. Lady Midnight opens her eyes and looks terribly weak. "...Pic…" she says weakly. Pic's grip strenthens around his sword. "Let her go" says Pic. Dahlas makes a rock piller slam into Pic's shoulder, and he hears a snap. He yells out in pain. "PIC" yells Lady Midnight. She rips the wires out of her, and tries to run for Pic, but collapses right as she gets off the table. "Lady Midnight" Pic says with tears in his eyes. "You need to get back on that table! If this girl wakes up-" starts Dahlas. The girl's eyes shoot open, and she sees Pic standing there holding his shoulder. "Let her go too" says Pic. "And just why should I let either go? I'm perfectly within-" starts Dahlas. Pic charges right passed him, and slams his sword down on the glass, which doesn't even scratch it. "Foolish boy! Your actions could potentially destroy us all" says Dahlas. Pic ignores him and slashes a few more times, without result. Pic takes a better look at the girl now that hes up closer. She's small, but judging by her face, appears to have a look of wisdom and maturity one only gets after years of experience. She has blood red eyes and long brown hair. Pic puts his hand gently on the glass and looks sad. "I'm gonna free you" says Pic. Her eyes widen as Pic drops his sword, and his hands start glowing red like Bodock's. He punches the glass so many times his knuckles start bleeding. "Pic…please...don't hurt...yourself" says Lady Midnight. Pic's forehead glows red, and May tears up and covers her face. Pic slams his head into the glass, but it still doesn't break. Pic tumbles back and grabs his head. The girl looks sorry for Pic, and her body starts glowing. "You fool" says Dahlas. The bindings and tank explode, and the girl falls down in the ground. "She's out! That's bad" says the old man. The girl looks over at the old man, and has some flashes of her struggling while he hooked wires to her. She looks mad and a huge wave of pressure emits from the girl, creating a crater. "Oh gods help us" says Dahlas. Pic just walks over to the girl, and picks her up, which makes her look surprised and she looks a lot more calm. "Are you hurt? Those mean guys can't hurt you anymore" says Pic. "No...more pain" she asks. Pic hugs her tightly. "No more pain" he says. She tears up and hugs him. "That's...impossible. The living weapon hasn't bonded with anyone" says the Dahlas. "It's because you didn't genuinely care about her like Pic is" says May. Pic starts walking towards Lady Midnight with the girl, but Dahlas gets in his way. "That girl is property of the council. She's a dangerous weapon, and I won't risk the people's safety-" starts Dahlas. "STOP CALLING HER A WEAPON! SHES A PERSON, NOT A THING" yells Pic. Dahlas's eyes widen. Pic walks right passed him, helps her up, and he and May help her walk away. "Well, I'll be damned" says the lazy looking guy as Pic walks out. They get back to Bodock and Isabella to see Bodock laying there battered and bruised, while Isabella is completely fine. "Whatever that costumes made of is bullcrap" says Bodock. "What happened" asks May. "We both took about the same amount of hits, and I'm the only one who's gonna be sore for a week" says Bodock. "Did you finally manage to attack" asks Pic. She sighs, and looks down the hall to see it's full of candy. "I did all the hitting" says Bodock. "Well, let's go get Celine and Ria" says May as they continue on.

Episode 8: Snow Fairy

Bodock, May, Isabella, Ria, and Celine sit at a table with a bunch of food. "Whoo hoo! Our first job was a successful one" says Isabella. "I must admit, I'm glad Pic followed his instincts" says Celine. "Oh yeah, where is mister hero" Bodock asks as he's gnawing on a turkey leg. "I guess he went to talk to Lady Midnight about something" says Ria. May thinks back to what happened, and sighs. Meanwhile, Pic meets with Lady Midnight the place where they first met. "It's raining, just like the day they met, and Pic stares at where master Ignatio's casket was. "I wanna know Lady Midnight. Please tell me what was going on" says Pic. Lady Midnight takes a hit of her pipe, but avoids eye contact with Pic. "Lady Midnight" Pic says more sternly. She tears up and turns away from Pic. "That girl, she's not human. She's a diamond key, or was. After she was slain, her spirit was somehow preserved magically. The council tried combining it with a few other keys. The result was disastrous. The girl created from all these different energies was so full of emotion. Anger, pain, happiness, pleasure, it all litterly exploded out of her. The pressure emitted by this girls emotions is so powerful, even the strongest man falls to his knees. She's more weapon than anything by this point. The council wanted to bind her, so she would no longer be a danger, but they needed a strong wizard to pull Mana from. The only problem is, it would take every drop of Mana even a strong mage has to bind her. That mage would suffer terribly day in and day out to ensure everyone else's safety. Master Ignatio, suggested you" says Lady Midnight. Pic's eyes widen. "A mage who is able to cast any type of magic would have to have a gold mine of Mana. They could use you however they wanted. The day I met you, you were so special, so pure, and so gentle. I didn't want you to know, because I didn't want you to feel responsible for-" starts Lady Midnight. "You're pain" Pic says as he sits down and wraps his arms around his legs. Lady Midnight looks sad and walks over to Pic. She goes to touch him, but hesitates. "Would you prefer not to see me anymore Pic" she asks. Pic doesn't answer. Lady Midnight turns around, tears up, and turns back to Pic. She mouths 'I love you' to him, and starts walking away. Suddenly, she sees Pic rush passed her with his hand on his sword. "What is he-oh gods" she says as she rushes after him. Pic rushes into the guild hall, spins around the corner, and over to the guildmasters room, where he slams right through the door. He sees Dahlas isn't there and rushes out. "Where's Dahlas" asks Pic. "Huh" asks Alko. "Where's Dahlas" he asks. "I believe he's out back my boy. Do try to be sensible won't you" asks Mr. Shadow as Pic rushes out of the guildhall and around back. Dahlas and the others they encountered down there are sealing up the door. Pic draws his sword and charges straight for Dahlas. "Fool boy. What do you hope to accomplish" asks Dahlas. The lazy looking guy requips a sword real quick and blocks. "Man kid, don't you give it a rest. Don't you have other kids to play with" asks the guy. Pic pulls his sword away, spins around the lazy looking guy, and gets close to Dahlas. He thinks back to the girl in the tank, and Lady Midnight on the table, and his eyes grow even angrier. He goes to slash down, but Pic feels a warm set of arms wrap around him. "L-Lady Midnight" he says. "Stop it, please Pic. You aren't a killer" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks at her. "B-But...he hurt you" says Pic. Lady Midnight smiles, and places her hand on his cheek. "You're so thoughtful and selfless Pic" she says. "Have you gotten your affairs in order ma'am" asks Dahlas. "Why yes I have. My only desire was to know what Pic wanted" says Lady Midnight. "Wh-what does that mean" asks Lady Midnight. "Lady Midnight has agreed to shoulder the entire blame for the break in. Normally, we wouldn't let it slide, but obviously this woman cares enough about you a great deal" says Dahlas. Lady Midnight walks over to Dahlas, and holds out her arms. "Goodbye Pic" she says. Pic rushes over and punches Dahlas in the face. He stumbles back and grabs his face. "Brat" he yells. "Now you have to take me too" says Pic. "What are you doing Pic" asks Lady Midnight. "I don't want you to leave Lady Midnight! I want you to stay with me forever" he says. Lady Midnight smiles, and Dahlas goes to grab her hand, but she pulls it away. "It seems my Pic has made his choice. I would never dare leave his side now" she says. "You don't have a choice" says Dahlas. "I'm afraid she does in fact" says another guy with brown hair. He looks almost exactly like the lazy looking guy, but older. "Hey big bro, what are you doing here" asks the lazy looking guy. "Oh you know, a little of this, a little of that. I just happened to be nearby when I saw council business going on" he says. "Stay out of this Wally. You-" starts Dahlas. "Ah ah ah. I see someone isn't following the rules" says Wally. "I'm within the boundaries of the law" says Dahlas. "Well, actually, fun fact, did you know that any participant in a council experiment must sign a form, stating that they are willing participants" asks Wally. Dahlas starts sweating a little. "Oh, you don't know? It's these ones" Wally says sarcastically as he pulls out paperwork, and hands it to Dahlas. Dahlas starts pouring sweat now. "Now tell me Dahlas, Lady Midnight did sign a form didn't she" Wally asks. "Well, er, not exactly-" starts Dahlas. "Ah well, happens to the best of us. I suppose you at least have authorization for all the equipment you borrowed correct" asks Wally. "Well, I eh-" starts Dahlas. "Oh I see, so you're out here illegally then. Well, at least tell me you came up with a charge to arrest this woman for besides the break in attempt, which witnesses clearly remember her being strapped to a table for most of it" says Wally. Dahlas looks mad but says nothing. "Oh that right. She's been a little busy helping you with your illegal experiments. Heres a fun little idea, why don't we all take a trip down and see what the council thinks" says Wally. Dahlas is ghost white. "Or, I suppose I could have been taking a nap while you were telling these kind folks to stay safe and out of trouble" says Wally. Dahlas grunts and starts walking away. "Well, stay safe, stay out of trouble, and most importantly kid, stay you" says Wally as he winks and walks away behind Dahlas, and the others follow. Lady Midnight smiles at Pic, and pulls him in to another hug where her breasts are pressed against his face. She gently rubs his head, and hums a little a song. "What's that song called Lady Midnight" asks Pic. "Snow Fairy" she says. "Why snow Fairy" asks Pic. "Snowflakes are small, but beautiful. They hold such power with only a single gaze. You're my snowflake" she says. "Bodock called Alko that once" says Pic. Lady Midnight chuckles. "I can assure you, he didn't mean this" she says. Suddenly, Pic looks up to see the rain has turned to snow. "It's...snowing" says Pic. Lady Midnight takes Pic's hand. "Dance with me Pic" she says. "Dance with you, why" asks Pic. "For every reason there isn't to dance, there is another to dance" she says. "But theirs no music" says Pic. Lady Midnight starts humming Snow Fairy again, and Pic grabs her other hand, and they start dancing around in the snow. Eventually, they get tired, and stop for a break. "I've never had so much fun with anyone in my life" she says. "It was your idea Lady Midnight" says Pic. "But it was made possible by you" she says as she leans over and rests her head on his shoulder. Pic looks up and sees it keeps snowing. "Are you cold Lady Midnight" he asks. She shakes her head. "I'm not sure why, but whenever I'm around you, I'm always warm. Not uncomfortably hot, or cold. I just feel so warm" she says. Pic smiles at her. "I feel warm around you too Lady Midnight" says Pic. She chuckles. "Maybe it's just body heat then" she says. She wraps her arms around him, and Pic looks at her. "I guess I just need more heat" she says as she squeezes a little tighter.

Episode 9: The beastman cafe

Pic, Bodock, and May are walking down the street, and May looks mad. (Flashback) May runs up to Pic. "Pic, I wanted to know if you wanted to come to this restaurant that's opening up with me" says May as she hands Pic a flyer. "It's a beastman themed cafe" says Pic. "Uh huh, do you wanna check it out? It could be...like date" she says shyly. Bodock walks over and snatches the flyer. "Hey check it out, it says there's a special going on for groups of three" says Bodock. "Well, actually I was hoping-" starts May. "The more the merrier" says Pic. (Flashback ends). May sighs. "You seem pretty bummed compared to earlier May, are you alright" asks Pic. She smiles at him. "Yeah, I'm okay" she says in a convincing tone. "See, I told ya. She's fine" says Bodock. Pic looks like he doesn't believe her, but turns back to talking to Bodock. Suddenly, a girl with bunny ears and a bunny tail accidentally crashes into Pic and fliers fly everywhere. She's got long pink hair, and is dressed in a waitress uniform. "O-Oh I'm sorry" she says as she tries picking up the fliers. Pic helps her get them all, and helps her up. "Thank you so much. This is my first day and it's not going well" she says. "Why not" asks Pic. "I've already dropped 4 plates and the fliers twice now" she says with a sigh. "Hey, quit screwing up or you're fired rabbit" says a guy with ox horns and a chef hat as he pokes his head out of a window. "S-Sorry sir, I'll get right on (trips, but Pic catches her) that" she finishes. "Thank that kid. He just saved your job. Don't be nervous. Take it slow if you have too, just stop dropping things kid. (The bunny girl hangs her head, and the ox guy smiles at her). Just relax, sorry about the firing thing. It's usually the only thing that gets these lazy chumps moving" he says as he pokes his head back in. She turns to Pic and bows a bunch. "I'm so sorry for burdoning you. Please, let me at least buy you lunch" says the girl. "It's fine, really. I'm actually out with my friends" says Pic. "Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have a lot of money right now or I'd treat all of you" she says. "That's okay. May's paying right" asks Bodock. May groans. "Fine" she says. "You needn't sweat it my dear, I'll handle this" says Mr. Shadow as he walks up. "Why" she asks. "To reward you all of course. Keep up the hard work kiddos" he says as he tosses Pic a bag of coins. Pic's jaw drops. "W-We couldn't eat this much if the entire guild was here" says Pic. "Then keep what's left, oh but do be sure to tip your waitress. Remember, I'll know if you don't" he says with a sinister looking smile as he walks away. "He...was joking right" asks May. "I'm tipping the waitress even if she drops all the food and completely screws my order, just to be safe" says Bodock. They walk in, and the bunny girl walks up to their table. "You're the waitress too" asks Bodock. "Actually, me and the regular waitress switched for a bit while she takes a break" says the bunny girl. "Well alright, bring 3 of everything" says Bodock. "What" asks May. "Sure, why not? It's Shadow's money, what do we care" asks Bodock. "He said save it not blow it" says May. "Actually, since we have the money, would you like to join us ma'am" asks Pic. "Wh-what? No, I'm working. (Stomach growls). Okay, yes, but still working" she says. "Jeez lady, where does all your money go" asks Bodock. "Magical training lessons. I wanna become a guild mage" she says. "You don't have to know magic to join a guild. Hell all I do is punch things" says Bodock. "Me and Pic were members as none combatants too" says May. "Really?! I know I can fight. I'm really good at it" she says. Bodock laughs. "Yeah right. Little bunny thinks she's-" starts Bodock. She does a lightning fast spinning kick to his face, which sends him flying. He slams back into a table, and crashes to the ground covered in food. "Bunny can kick" says Bodock. "You should join Fairy Tail" says Pic. "Really? I could join a guild" she asks as her ears happily twitch. "You always could have. Why did you think you couldn't" asks May. "Well, my magical instructor told me guilds only take strong mages" says the girl. "That's not true for any guild. You're free to join whatever guild you want, for whatever reason" says Pic. "Who's this magical instructor" asks May. "She's a really nice lady I met when she accidentally bumped into me one day" she says. "Was your money missing afterwards" asks Bodock. "Oh yeah, I did realize I dropped it somewhere" she says. "Lady, you got scammed, big time" says Bodock. She drops down in disappointment, but looks up at Pic. "You know what? You're really nice, I wanna join your guild" she says happily. "Really" asks Pic. "Really" May asks with a hint of jeliousy. The bunny girl nods happily. "Well come on then, I'll take you there" Pic says happily. Afterwards, she joins the guild, and she looks like she's gonna explode with happiness. "I'm actually a member of a guild! I've dreamed of this since I was a little girl knawing on a carrot" she says happily. She hugs the three. "Thank you all. This never could have happened without you all" she says. "All we did was point out the obvious" says Bodock. "Well still, you have my gratitude. I now owe you each a favor, cashable whenever you feel like. If you wanna seek me out, my name is Lala Easter" she says. Bodock snorts, and May elbows him. Soon, a guy walks in with blonde hair. He's not wearing a shirt. Just a necklace with a small pouch on it, shorts, and flip flops. He walks over to a reserved spot of the guildhall, and hops in a hot tub. "Who's that" asks Pic. "That's Ignatio's son" says Lady Midnight as she seemingly appears out of nowhere. Bodock and May jump, but Pic just turns to her. "How'd you do that Lady Midnight" asks Pic. She smiles. "Remember Pic, I'm always at your side, whether you realize it or not" says Lady Midnight. "Yeesh, that's creepy" says Bodock. "It's sweet...sort of" says May. "So, what do you know about him" asks Pic. "He's spoiled to no end. Unlike Ignatio, his son is extremely greedy and self centered" says Lady Midnight. The guy looks over at Pic. "Ah, if it isn't my father's favorite little project" says the guy. Pic narrows his eyes. "You don't look like much" says the guy. "How about you put your fist where your mouth is punk? He could take you in battle any day of the week" says Bodock. May smacks him. "I refuse. It would be a waste of my valuable time" says the guy. "Sure you aren't just scared punk" asks Bodock. The guy burst into laughter. "You expect me to fight a rookie with a rag tag team of rejects? (Laughs harder). As if I'd have the time to spare" he says. "It's okay Bodock. He's not worth it" says Pic. "What" asks Bodock. "I don't care what he says. I have you, and May, and Lady Midnight, and Isabella, and Celine, and Ria, and everyone else. You guys all believe in me, and I want to reward your faith with results" says Pic as he starts walking away. "Not worth it? How dare you" he says. Pic ignores him and keeps walking. "Fine, you wanna fight? You've got it brother" he says as he stands up out of the hottub. "Meet me out front in 2 hours" he says as he walks away. May smacks Bodock a few times. "Stop getting him into trouble" says May. "I need to show him he's wrong. I will become something" says Pic. Lady Midnight smiles. "You're already someone" she says. "Well, I guess you better get ready for another fight bud. Good luck" says Bodock. Pic sighs, and walks through the guildhall, until the little girl he saved runs up and grabs his leg. "What's wrong Pic" she asks. "Oh, hey Dianne. Bodock got me into another fight" says Pic. "I'll hurt them if they hurt you" says Dianne. "No Dianne. We're both gonna get hurt. It's a fight" says Pic. "Then I hope you don't get hurt. I won't like who hurts you" she says. Pic laughs. "I suppose not liking it isn't bad, just don't hurt them" says Pic. "I'm sorry I'm not good at cheering people up" says the girl. "You did actually. You made me laugh" says Pic. Dianne smiles slightly. "I'm glad. I like making you feel better too" says Dianne.

Episode 10: Fullbody!

Pic sits at a table, and looks at a clock, with only 10 minutes until his fight. He sighs. "I figured you'd be used to fighting by now" says Celine as she walks up from behind him. "It's not that I guess. It's just, what if he's right? What if I disappoint you all" asks Pic. Celine looks angry. "How dare you! Where did that confidence go you had when you fought me" she asks. Pic thinks back to Lady Midnight's confession, but says nothing. Celine slaps Pic, which seems to have snapped him out of it a little. "You listen Pic, and you listen well. We've all put our faith in you, not just me, or Bodock, or Lady Midnight, but also Alice, and Lala, and Alko, and even Mr. Shadow. The only way you can disappoint us is if you surrender before you've even tried" says Celine. Pic looks up at her. "But...if I lose-" starts Pic. "Surely you can't hope to be undefeatable. Understand this well, there's always a bigger fish. Nobody would dare blame you for losing this fight, or any other. It's human. When we think about you as a symbol too much, it's often times hard to see you as what you truely are. A person" says Celine. Pic looks a little more cheered up. "Now, it's almost time. Just go out and try your best" says Celine, as she gives him a comforting smile. Pic gives her a hug. "Thank you so much Celine" says Pic. "Y-Yes, but I do believe I've already informed you-" starts Celine. Pic continues hugging her, and she takes a deep breath. "Oh fine, but you know this is the first one I've ever returned, so be grateful" says Celine as she wraps her arms gently around Pic. Soon, Pic goes outside, where Ignatio's son stands dressed in a white suit, with a single white glove. "Understand this, it's not overconfidence, it's facts. I'm better than you are. I'm an S class wizard you know" he says. Pic draws his sword, and his focus doesn't waver. May notices Lady Midnight walking away, and rushes over to her. "Hey! Pic's match is supposed to start soon, whatever you have to do can wait" says May. Lady Midnight turns to her. "My apologies, but...this is a match I can't watch" says Lady Midnight. May clenches her fist. "NO! You don't get to just duck out like that! Pic loves talking to you after his matches. He'd be devastated when he wins and you aren't there" says May. Lady Midnight looks a little sad. "He won't win" she says. "I can't believe you just said that! You've always had more confidence in him than anyone, so why the change of heart" asks May. "I...I foresaw this match right down to Celine's pep talk beforehand. Pic will lose, and it absolutely crushes him that the people he cares about have to witness it. He knows we all need him to be stronger than himself. He's a ray of hope for everyone, and he's scared that he won't be able to live up to everyone's expectations" says Lady Midnight. May looks guilty. "That's why I can't watch. I can't stand the thought of him being crushed that badly" says Lady Midnight. "Ah yes, but the future is never written in stone. It is like the mighty labyrinth of legend. It twist, and turns, but never ends" says a familiar voice. They turn around to see Wally and the lazy looking guy standing there. The lazy looking guy yawns. "Yep. Stick too long in either one and you'll get lost" says the lazy looking guy. "Beg pardon, but might I ask your business here" asks Lady Midnight. "Why, I came to see our young Pic fight today" Wally says in excitement. "I just came to see if he could impress me further" says the lazy looking guy. Lady Midnight doesn't say anything. "I'd go back and watch the fight if I were you. There are some things even fate can't predict" says Wally. "Please stop talking in circles! Is something going to happen to Pic" asks May. Wally smiles. "Why don't we go find out together" he says. Lady Midnight and May make their way back, and see Pic laying on the ground in a pool of blood. Lady Midnight tries to fight it, but tears up and turns away. "He...already lost" asks May. Ignatio's son laughs, as he stands there completely unscratched. "How ridiculous! I've fought squirrels with more skill. It sickens me my father wanted to leave the key to you of all people" says the guy. Pic weakly lifts his head. "Key" he asks weakly. "No. You've heard all you will out of me, if that's all you've got" says Ignatio's son. Wally smiles to himself. Pic forces himself to stand up weakly. "I...I won't...give up" says Pic as he lifts his sword, but his arm has lost too much blood, and after shaking a bunch, he drops the sword. Pic starts walking weakly towards the guy. "Oh, come on! That's just pitiful" he says. Pic gets close enough to throw a weak punch into the guy's face. It barely pushes in his skin, and the guy removes Pic's hand with the gloved hand. "I suppose that means I win. You're on empty" says the guy. "Physically, yeah just about...but emotionally-" starts Pic as he wraps his arms around the guy. "I'm just getting started" says Pic. His body glows red everywhere, and Bodock's jaw drops. "What" asks May. "That's the fullbody technique! He's not supposed to use that" says Bodock. "Why not" asks May. Pic pulls his head back, and headbutts the guy with full force, causing the earth to crack under him. A huge lump appears on Pic's forehead. "There's no mistaking it, that idiots using the fullbody technique as a suicide run" says Bodock. "Tell me that's not litteral fool" says Celine. "Depends how many broken bones he can survive I guess" says Bodock. "WHAT" the girls all ask at once. "Yep. Don't even try yelling at him either. In that state, he can't even hear himself, let alone you guys" says Bodock. Ignatio's son tumbles back and grabs his forehead, which is now bleeding. He tries to look around, but the entire world has gone blurry. "Damn...that attack...actually really hurt" he says. Pic starts running at him, leaving craters with each footstep. "Minefield" the guy says as he puts his hand on the ground. Pic charges right through it, explosion after explosion, then punches the guy hard in the gut which makes him puke up blood. "Alright, that's enough Pic" says Alko. Pic doesn't listen, and grabs the guy by the shirt collar. "BODOCK! STOP HIM BEFORE HE KILLS HIM" says May. "I don't know how! I've only seen 1 guy use fullbody before, and the only thing that stopped him was death" says Bodock. May tears up, as Pic slams the guy into the ground. "What even is it that you do" asks Ria. "I'm a brawler, user of the red fist, berserker" says Bodock. "Which means-" starts May. "Which means he's going berserk. Apparently that guy really pissed him off" says Bodock. "Perhaps my words weren't enough" Celine says as she hangs her head a little. "The match is over Pic! Cease now, or we will be forced to contain you" says Alko. Alice rushes out, and Pic turns to her, let's go of the other guy, and starts walking towards her. Creed, Alko, and Krenis all draw their weapons, but are suprised to see him stop in front of her. "I forgot to tell you, I made you lunch. You must be hungry" she says. "I'm sorry Alice, but stay back. I don't think Pic-" starts Alko. Pic's eyes soften, and he tears up. "I'm...so...sorry" he says as he blacks out. "Un...believable" says Bodock. "Why Alice" asks May. "I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered who it was. Pic just needed someone to remind him of something simple. Have any of you been thinking about how hard you've worked the poor lad? It's been 1 thing after another, and the boy hasn't even left the guildhall yet. Maybe let him enjoy being an adventurer, before you throw him into stuff like destiny and fate" says Mr. Shadow. "I...I guess I hadn't realized how hard he's been working. He was probably exhausted" says May. "It was careless of me to not pay better attention. I worried so much for his safety outside, that I forgot that his current self needs care too" says Lady Midnight. Later that day, Pic wakes up in the infirmary, with Ignatio's son staring at him. "Oh, um...I really don't know how to phrase how sorry-" starts Pic. Ignatio's son burst into laughter. "Awe man. I sure gotta kick out of that one. I thought you were gonna kill me for a second" he says. "You...seem different" says Pic. The guy smiles, and leans into Pic a little. "A little secret I'll tell you, I'm not some spoiled rich kid. Me and pops actually spent most our lives in poverty" he says. "Then why act like a jerk" asks Pic. "Because I have to be, like you. You have to to be their symbol of hope, of what they fight for. I do what I do, because they also need someone to hate, an obstacle for you to overcome" says Ignatio's son. "I'm still not sure I understand" says Pic. Ignatio's son smiles. "To put it simply. They needed to see you beat me. Now, any doubts about you being the one are gone" says the guy. Pic hangs his head a little. "Except in you I suppose" says Ignatio's son. "Master Ignatio...he...nevermind" says Pic. "It's okay, I know my dad wasn't perfect. I know he did things I hate, but he also did kind things. I try to keep that in mind" says Ignatio's son. "...Do...do you think I'm special? That I'm meant to do something great" asks Pic. "No, I don't" says Ignatio's son. Pic nods, but notices the look in Ignatio's son's face. "You don't have to prove yourself to my dad, or Lady Midnight, or to me. Whatever you do, do it for you. It makes it a lot easier" says Ignatio's son. Pic smiles a little, and Ignatio's son lays back and relaxes. "You don't remember me do you" he asks. "Huh" asks Pic. Ignatio's son smiles to himself. "I guess it's not important, but we have met once before. It's the day my father brought you here" he says. Pic has a flashback of him chowing down on some food, while Ignatio, his son,and several other guild members are eating around a big table. "I remember now. You were really shy" says Pic. "Not sure if shy was what I would have used, but I was definitely flustered around you. Remember, I ended up headbutting the table when I went to leave" says Ignatio's son. "Oh yeah! You were bowing" says Pic. The two laugh about it a little. "It's really sad actually, you're a good person, but your hiding it" says Pic. "It doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure I have 1 good friend, and it's all I need" says Ignatio's son. "Who's that" asks Pic. "You of course" says Ignatio's son. Pic looks touched, and nods to himself. "Join my party please" says Pic. "Huh" asks Ignatio's son. "I'm going to be taking a quest and leaving the city soon, and I was hoping you would come with me" says Pic. "I don't know, I actually am lazy you know" he says. "Pleeease" says Pic. The guy sighs. "Well, I can't say no to an adorable face. I'll come with. Names Victus, it's a pleasure to meet you...for the second time" Ignatio's son says jokingly. Pic looks full of excitement, and pumps his arm up. "Owe" says Pic as he realizes he's still in pain. "Easy killer. Remember, we kicked each other's asses" says Victus. Suddenly, they hear voices outside the door. "You can see him now, but if he's resting don't-" starts a voice. A crash is heard, and the door flies open. Bodock, Lady Midnight, May, Celine, Ria, Isabella, Alice, Lala, Dianne, Hazuna and her kids, Mr. Shadow, and the flirty blonde girl all rush in. "That's...a lot of people" says Victus. "Oh baby, I'm sorry you got hurt, dont worry, your sexy nurse is here" says the flirty blonde girl. "No! He needs food to recover" says Alice. "Oh, I'm on it" says Lala as she goes to rush out but accidentally runs into the door. "My my my boy. Being awfully reckless aren't you" asks Mr. Shadow. "Don't scare me like that….I was worried" says Dianne. "You are...unharmed" asks Hazuna. "Yes ma'am" says Pic. A slight hint of a smile hits Hazuna's face. "I'm glad" she says. "Don't worry big bro, we're gonna take good care of you" says the little ninja girl. "Oh my prince! I'm glad your okay. Just let me know if I can get you anything darling" says Isabella. "You had us worried you jerk" says Celine. "Don't ever do that again...I thought we were about to lose you" says Ria. "Honestly Pic, you're going to give me grey hairs before I'm 20" May says with a sigh. "Hey man, that was reckless, stupid, and irresponsible….right on" says Bodock as he fist bumps Pic. May hits him. Lady Midnight tears up, and embraces Pic. "Please, don't ever, ever do that again! My heart couldn't take another shock like that" she says. "I'm alright everyone, you don't have to worry" says Pic. "Seems like someone's popular" says Victus. "Hey, this is all your fault in-" starts May. "No May, you've got it wrong. Victus is my new friend" says Pic. "You're too nice" says May. "I don't know, in my opinion, there's no such thing as too nice" says Victus. "Watch it bub, you're already on thin ice" says Bodock. "Touchy friends you have here" says Victus. "He's joining our party too, isn't that great" asks Pic. "You didn't feel it necessary to ask us first" asks Celine. Pic's face drops. May sighs. "I guess it's better than another girl, I don't know if I could handle another one-" starts May. Lady Midnight chuckles. "I'm afraid you won't be so lucky" says Lady Midnight. "What does that mean" asks May. "Your new teammate has a liking for men, and it seems he's fond of Pic" says Lady Midnight. May's eyes widen, and she looks closer at the guy, to see him slightly blush whenever he looks Pic's way. "Oh come on" she says. "I'll be coming as well, as Im no longer bound to the city" says Lady Midnight. "No! No way, sorry. 7's a lucky number" says May. "You don't think I'd be willing to send the most important thing in my life out in the world without being able to protect him do you" asks Lady Midnight. "I thought that's why you taught me magic" says May. "It never hurts to ensure his safety, besides, he'd be happier with both of us along, don't you think" asks Lady Midnight. May sighs. "I can't argue that" she says. A pale blonde girl, in glasses, and a white gown rushes in. "Victus" she says as she rushes over to his bed. "What are you doing Yvette? You should stay in bed" he says. She tries to hit him a few times, but her frail body makes them glance off. "Yikes, someone's angry" says Victus. "You (coughs weakly) told me you wouldn't (coughs weakly again) fight anymore" she says. He helps her sit down on the bed. "Yvette, this is my new friend. He was friends with dad too. You remember the infamous Pic right" asks Victus. Yvette slowly turns to Pic, and turns beat red. "I didn't know he was here" she says "Still holding on too your childhood crush I see" says Victus. Yvette turns even more red, and tries to hit Victus again. "Hey Pic, this is my little sister Yvette. Do you remember her" asks Victus. "I do actually, I chased away an angry dog that one time" says Pic. "If I remember correctly, he bit you on the behind" says Victus. Pic laughs nervously. A nurse rushes in. "Yvette! You know better than to leave your room! You aren't well enough" she says. Yvette looks disappointed. "I know it's hard sweetie, but we don't want anything to happen to you" says the nurse. "It's okay Yvette, I'll come visit you as soon as I get back from my quest" says Pic. She looks a little happy. "Promise" she asks. "I promise" says Pic. Yvette looks exited, and walks over to the nurse. "Wow, I think that's the best I've ever seen her look. You young lady, are gonna have to tell me all about this young boy you seem fond of" the nurse says kindly as she escorts Yvette away. "Thank you Pic, I appreciate that" says Victus.

Episode 11: The life link

After a few days, Pic and Victus walk out of the medical building, and stretch. "Ah, the smell of (sniffs) whatever that is. I don't care, as long as it doesn't smell like a medbay" says Victus. "It's nice to be able to walk again" says Pic. "Easy killer. Don't push it and end up back in there" says Victus. The two are instantly approached by Dahlas. "I trust you two are gonna stay out of trouble" he says. "Oh yes, best of friends and all that" says Victus as he tries walking away, but Dahlas stops him. "Don't walk away from me, boy. I don't care who your father was. You are dismissed, when I dismiss you, am I clear" asks Dahlas. "No. Quite the opposite actually. Your large size makes it rather hard to see past you" Victus says sarcastically. "Rich brat" says Dahlas. "W-We're sorry sir. It won't happen again" says Pic. "Oh I'm sure. You've done a great job of staying out of trouble so far" Dahlas says sarcastically. Pic hangs his head in shame. Lady Midnight walks up. "I hope you aren't harassing my poor Pic now are you" asks Lady Midnight. Dahlas grunts and walks away. "Ah yes, a fine example of what a true guildmaster should be" Victus says sarcastically. "I'm pleased you're finally ready to come home" Lady Midnight says as she motions them to follow her back. When they get back, Dianne rushes up and hugs Pic's leg. "Your back" she says. "Yep, so's Victus" says Pic. Dianne growls at Victus a little. "She's...not gonna bite me right? My dad had this little dog who'd always-" starts Victus. May rushes up to Pic. "You know I'm the last person who wants you out working right after you get back, but Hazuna's daughters missing Pic" says May. "Good grief people, we just walked in. Can't we at least sit down and-" starts Victus. "You can stay here if you want Victus, I'm going to look for her" says Pic. "Oh, now you've gone and made me feel bad. I'm coming" says Victus as they rush out. "What's her name" asks Victus as they rush down the street. "I uh...I don't know" says Pic. "Oh, alright then. Hey random little girl I don't know, come out of hiding" Victus yells sarcastically. "This is gonna be difficult. She's a ninja" says Pic. "Oh...swell" says Victus. The whole guild searches until nightfall, but find no sign of the girl. After dark, Pic and Hazuna are the only ones still searching. "I don't know what they hope to find in the dark" says Victus. "We should still be out there helping" says Celine. "No. It's passed curfew as it is" says Dallas. Lady Midnight and May stare at the door. "Relax you two. Pic's alright, he always is" says Bodock. "He always gets hurt too" says May. "Yeesh. How about a little positive thinking. This is Pic, he's probably carrying that little girl back right now" says Bodock. "...I want Pic to come back" says Dianne. "I want Pic to cum on my-" starts the flirty girl. Lala covers Dianne's ears, and Ria covers the flirty girls mouth. "Well on the bright side, if she doesn't find the girl, she has 4 male spares" Victus says jokingly. Everyone gives him a cold look. "Oh come now, you all know I'm joking" says Victus. Suddenly, it starts raining. "Well, mother nature is certainly being uncooperative today" Victus says sarcastically. "Pic, please come home soon" says May. "Hikari! Hikari" yells Hazuna as she runs across building tops. Pic runs through alleys. "Hikari! Hikari, please come out" yells Pic. Hazuna goes to jump across another roof, but slips on the wet pavement, and falls down into an alley. She hears her leg snap, and she bites down on her lip so hard she draws blood, but doesn't scream. She looks at her leg, and sees her bone sticking out of her leg. She takes a deep breath, and snaps her leg back in. She cries silently, and uses a wall to help her stand on her good leg. She hobbles down the alley. Pic runs through an alley, but stops when he sees Hikari sitting in rags for clothes in a box. "Hikari, where's your ninja outfit" asks Pic. She doesn't answer. "Hey, let's go home-" starts Pic as he offers his hand. Hikari smacks his hand away. "Just leave me alone big bro" she says. Pic sits down, puts her on his lap, and uses the box to protect them. "We've got a while before we can head back to the guildhall. Wanna tell me what's wrong" he asks. "I don't want to be a ninja big bro. I'm good at it, but I hate not being able to talk, or show emotion. I'm running away so I can be a normal girl" she says. "But won't you miss your mom, or your brothers" asks Pic. Hikari sighs. "Yeah, they're my family. I'd miss you too. I'm just really lonely. I have so many things I want to talk about-" she starts. "Well, like I said. We've got loads of time. Why not tell me some things" says Pic. Hikari looks exited. "C-Can I" she asks. "Sure, whatever you want" says Pic. She smiles real big. "Well-" she starts. "Hikari! Hikari! It's mommy, please answer me" Hazuna yells in concern. "Mommy? B-But that's against the ninja code" says Hikari. "Hikari? Is that your voice? Please, just let me know your safe" says Hazuna. "Momma! I'm over here! Come take shelter with us" says Hikari. Hazuna rounds the corner, and looks scared. "Pic, is she okay" asks Hazuna. "Yes ma'am" says Pic. Hazuna collapses on the ground. "Oh thank the gods" she says as she starts crying. Pic looks at her leg, and gasps. "M-Miss Hazuna" he says in concern. "MOMMA! Your hurt" says Hikari. "I am, but even pain can't stop a worried mother" says Hazuna. "Isn't that against the ninja code" asks Hazuna. "It is. A ninja is supposed to be void of emotion, however, a ninja is also supposed to do their duty, no matter the cost. Since the day your were born, the only duty that matters for me is my duty to protect my children. I love you Hikari" says Hazuna. Hikari tears up, and rushes over and hugs Hazuna. "I promise momma! I'll never run away again. I'm sorry" she says. Hazuna hugs Hikari, and Pic heals her leg. The group walk back, but as they get close, they see a little boy and his dad playing catch. Pic looks at the scene, and sighs. "Are you okay" asks Hikari. "Yeah, I just never really knew my family. I was a slave pretty young" says Pic. Hazuna pulls him in and hugs him. "Hey momma, can I get a new older brother" asks Hikari. Hazuna smiles, and nods. "Of course. Pic is already like a son" says Hazuna. "H-Huh" asks Pic. "Yay! Big bro" Hikari says as she climbs up picks back, and gets in piggyback formation. Hazuna smiles. "She's smiling" Hazuna says happily. They get back to the guildhall, and when they walk in, everyone cheers. "They found her" Alice says with a sigh of relief. "I'm glad. Now young lady, you had us all worried. Please, next time something is bothering you, seek someone out. Remember, we're all a family here" says Alko. Pic sneezes, and Hazuna grabs his forehead. She shakes her head. "A fever. You caught a cold" she says. "Don't worry! Little sis will have you taken care of in no time" says Hikari. "Little sis" asks May. "Uh huh! Pic's my new big bro" Hikari says. "Makes sense honestly" says Bodock. "What makes you think" asks May. "Well, Hazuna has been there for Pic, same as you or Lady Midnight. Not everyone is gonna fall in love with him, she must think of him closer to an actual son" says Bodock. "Come on big man. Lets get you back to that med bay. Hopefully they saved you a seat" Victus says sarcastically as he and Pic head to the med bay. When Pic wakes up, he's suprised to see most everyone sleeping around his bed, except for lady Midnight, who looks completely exhausted as she's holding his hand. "L-Lady Midnight? You should be in bed" says Pic. She shakes her head. "Not without knowing you were okay. I actually did try, but, the thought of something happening to you, and me not being there...I couldn't sleep" she says. "I'm fine Lady Midnight" says Pic. She feels his head, and shakes hers. "Still warm. You aren't as okay as you think" she says as she pulls a wet rag from a bucket, and places it gently on his head. "Thank you Lady Midnight" says Pic. She smiles gently to him. "Anything for you" she says. "Not litterly though right? Not anything" asks Pic. "If it came down to it, yes. Anything to keep you safe" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks over at the others. "What if...what if it came down to me or-" starts Pic. "You, without question. I don't want to appear heartless, I would be upset for sure, but even all of that would only be a drop in the bucket compared to losing you (leans over and kisses his cheek). I love you Pic, and I promise, if you consider something precious to you, I'd give my very life just to ensure you may keep it" she says. Pic hugs her. "Stop saying that like I could stand losing you either! Anyone in this room who would die would absolutely kill me. I care about you all, especially you Lady Midnight. You've been by my side since the day we met" says Pic. "And I'll still be there when we're grey and old, and I have little else left to offer other than company" she says. "Promise me that's going to happen. Stop saying you'd give your life for me. My life isn't more important than yours. People would be hurt if either one of us died, so let's not" says Pic. Lady Midnight smiles, and gently places her head against hers. "Would you once again trust me Pic? I promise there's no wait this time. Just close your eyes, and hold out your hands" she says. Pic does as he's told, and Lady Midnight takes his hands. "By the contract of the blackest witch, I envoke her power. The power of love is strong within me, and it's through this blood I'm able to protect the one I love. Now, I make this contract here this day, as long as one of us draw breath, the other shall not perish. I offer nothing in return for this service, besides a promise that when the time comes, I'll do what must be done" says Lady Midnight. Suddenly an empty cloak and floating witch hat appear. "So, you wish to ensure that you'll die together? I've had a lot of selfish, crude, and even odd request in my time, but never one quite like this" says an echoing voice. "Please. It is my wish to not go without him, and unless I'm mistaken, the feeling is mutual" says Lady Midnight. "It is" says Pic. "Well, I suppose as long as your end is held up, it doesn't really matter. Fine, have your life link. I warn you though, this isn't just a get out of death free card. Everytime you die, your partner will feel the pain of you dying. Honestly, I don't know what you'd call it, but torcher isn't strong enough. I hope it's worth it to you both" the voice says as the cloak and hat disappear. Pic feels around his body. "I-I don't feel any different. Are you sure it worked" he asks. "Let's not find out, shall we" asks Lady Midnight. Pic nods, and gives her a hug. "Thank you Lady Midnight" he says. She smiles, and gently hugs him back. "Of course" she says. Later that night, May tosses in her sleep. She sees flashes of the rest of Pic's team, Hazuna and Hikari, Mr. Shadow, the flirty girl, Alice, and Lala all laying dead around a wounded Pic, who's being held up in the air by his throat by a man with shaggy black hair, a white shirt with dark pants and claw gauntlet on the arm that isn't holding Pic. "You lose" he says as he pulls out a dagger, and jabs it right into Pic's heart. Suddenly, she shoots awake, and Pic is hugging her tightly. "May, your having a nightmare" he says. She looks around to see everyone is awake, and looks concerned. "Oh, your all up" she asks. "Of course we are. You were screaming like someone was dying" says Celine. "Pic was! I saw it, all of you, and Pic-" she starts. "Ha, fat chance of that. Bodock's indestructible" says Bodock. "This isn't a joke! It was horrible, and I-I saw Pic die" says May. "It's just a nightmare May, I'm right here" says Pic. May starts bawling, and hugs him tightly. "It was so real. I'm so scared Pic. I don't want you to die" she says as she clenches him tightly. Pic looks at Lady Midnight, who shakes her head, and Pic rubs her back. "Pic...can I ask you a really weird question?...Would...you mind if I sleep in your bed tonight, with you? I don't want to have another nightmare" she says. "Oh, I wanna sleep with big bro too" says Hikari exitedly. Hazuna does a motion for her to lower her voice, and Hikari does a zipper motion on her mouth. Hazuna points to another patient, who groans. "Let Pic be. I need you anyways" Hazuna says as she pulls Hikari in and curls up with her. "So...will you" asks May. "Yeah sure. Your like a sister too me anyways" says Pic. "Sister...right" May says in a slightly disappointed tone as she and Pic climb in the bed. She curls up with him, and smiles real big. "Now I know your right here. All I have to do is look up" she says. "Would it help if I did this" asks Pic as he wraps his arm around her, and she blushes a little. "Yeah, that's perfect love" she says. "Huh" asks Pic. May turns beat red. "S-Sorry that just slipped out, weird right? Well, time for bed, goodnight" she says. Bodock chuckles. "Getting balsey on you Midnight" he says to himself as everyone goes to sleep. The next morning, Pic wakes up and Celine, Isabella, Ria, Alice, The flirty girl, and Victus are in the bed with Pic as well, and Lady Midnight and Bodock stand over him. "You sly dog" says Bodock. "It seems a few people got a little jelious" says Lady Midnight. May wakes up, and jumps. "Hey, who's hand is on my-whoa! Cold, cold hands" says May. "Morning cutie" the flirty girl says. Ria rolls over, and curls up to Pic. "Hey, Ria! Get up" says May. Ria doesn't react, but when Bodock goes to grab her shoulder, her arm shoots up and grabs his wrist. "Don't touch" she says as she opens 1 eye. "Hey! Faker" says May. "I don't know what you mean" says Ria. "Urgh. You are so noisy in the morning. Let me sleep more, 5 more hours" says Victus. Ria kicks him off the bed. "Or now works. Yep, early starts are awesome" Victus says sarcastically. Ria climbs out of the bed, and sees Celine holding Pic's hand. Ria pokes her, and Celine groans and rolls over against Pic. "Celine, get up" Ria says. She reaches around and grabs Pic, and snuggles her face against his back. "H-Hey, Celine" says Pic. She doesn't move. Ria lightly zaps her, which makes her eyes shoot open. "What on earth was-(notices she and Pic are holding hands, and she's snuggling with him)-O-OH MY GOODNESS" she says as she pulls away and gets out of the bed. She's beat red, and trying to his her embarrassment. Bodock shakes Alice. "Hey, Alice, wakey wakey" says Bodock. "No miss Kida. Five more minutes please. I'm dreaming about a boy I like" Alice says groggily. "Just wait until you open your eyes" says Bodock. She slowly opens her eyes, and sees Pic. She screams and rolls off the side. "I-Im sorry. I didn't-I wasn't P-please-I-" she starts. "It's okay, you weren't the only one" says Lady Midnight. "Alright Isabella, get up" says May as she shakes Isabella. Isabella snores. "Allow me to awaken her. My father taught me a sacred technique that helps awaken sleeping allies" says Victus. "Ooh, let's see it" says Pic. Victus walks out, and comes back with a bucket of water, which he splashed on her face. She shoots up. "OHHHH! That's so cold" she says. "That's your "sacred technique" asks the flirty girl. "Well, my father used it religiously on me" Victus says sarcastically. Pic chuckles. "So, how are you feeling this morning Pic" asks Lady Midnight. "Better" he says. Lady Midnight feels his forehead, then lifts his hair, and does it with her forehead. "You still have a slight fever. You aren't going anywhere until it's gone, understand" asks Lady Midnight. "But Lady Midnight-" starts Pic. "No buts. Don't worry, you won't be alone. I'll be here the entire time" she says. "Thank you Lady Midnight. I hope I get better soon so I can finally head out as an adventurer" says Pic. "It's almost time Pic. You've assembled your party, practiced as a unit, and got your equipment. As soon as your well enough, we'll head straight out" says Lady Midnight. Pic looks exited, and the others walk away.

Episode 12: The day has come!

Pic walks out of the hospital, and into the guildhall, and is suprised to see May wearing a white shirt, with a pink jacket, and blue pants. She does a twirl. "What do you think" she asks. "You look great, but where'd you get it" asks Pic. "Miss Hazuna got it for me" she says. "That's really nice of her" says Pic. "I hear she's been mommying you hard since you got sick" says May. "H-Hey, don't put it that way, it makes me sound like a little kid" says Pic. "It's true. She's been there giving you medicine everyday, she's been checking on you, bringing you snacks, she even litterly told the nurse that she's your mom" says May. Pic turns a little red from embarrassment. "Big bro! Big bro! I have another story I wanna tell" says Hikari. "Sure thing Hikari" says Pic. Hikari looks at May, and smiles. "She's a keeper big bro" says Hikari. May turns red, and Hikari smiles. "So what's the story about today" asks Pic. "Well, I was at the park, when suddenly this dog ran up to me-" she starts as they walk away. May sighs. "I hardly have time with him anymore" she says sadly. "Feeling lonely my dear" asks Mr. Shadow from behind her. She jumps, and spins around to him. "O-Oh. Mr. Shadow, you snuck up on me" she says. "My apologies. I'm told I'm rather light footed, so it's hard to hear me coming" says Mr. Shadow. "Oh" says May. "Would you like to confide in me girl? I'm not much one for gossip, so feel free to tell me what's troubling you" he says. May sighs. "It's kind of hard to explain I guess. Pic and me have been together for a long time. We were inseparable for a while, but now, I hardly get any time with him, and whenever I do, there's always someone else. Lady Midnight, or Hikari, or Bodock, or Victus, or-" starts May. "Have you talked to Pic about it" asks Mr. Shadow. "No. (Sighs). It'd break his big soft heart if he thought he was making me sad. I don't blame him, I'm not even mad, I just wish I could have some time with him, just us two" says May. "Well, you guys set out tomorrow. Pic's giving himself an extra day to get on his feet, use today to get a moment" says Mr. Shadow. "How" asks May. "Easily. Ask Pic for you two to be alone. You know he would, he's your friend" says Mr. Shadow. May nods "You're right Mr. Shadow. I'm going to do it" May says with confidence. Later that day, the flirty girl is walking down the street. "Huh, I wonder where my man is today" she says as she looks around. A cat with a missing ear runs out of an ally, and up to her. "Oh, hey bubbles" she says in a much cuter voice as she kneels down. The cat happily meows at her, and hops on her lap. "Awe, who's my furry wittle princess" she asks. A dog with 3 legs runs out of the ally too. "Oh, poor Boogie. I'm sorry buddy, I'm still not making enough money to get my own place. I want to take you guys in though-" she starts. Suddenly, a bird flies down, and crashes into a nearby wall. It's a beautiful white falcon, and it has a huge bloody hole in it's wing. "Oh, poor little bird" she says as she lightly scoops it up. It pecks at her a few times, and she bites her lip, but still holds the bird. "Hey, your okay. Shhhh. What happened to your wing" she asks. "Hey, where's my dinner" a mans voice yells. Suddenly, a man with a beard and a coonskin hat walks out. He's got brown hair, and it's wearing a red button up with blue jeans and boots. The flirty girl hides the bird a little, but a girl with long twin braided brown hair walks out and holds up her arms. She's wearing a tan shirt, with blue jeans and flip-flops. "Stop it right now ya hear? You won't lay a finger on that critter as long as I'm around" she says. "Don't be like that Nancy. Come on, I'm a starving man, and that bird would hit the spot right about now" says the guy. "I'll make ya somethin ta eat, same as always, but ya ain't hurtin no critters'round here. At my home, they're family" says Nancy. The guy looks at the door and the cat. "They yours" he asks. "No, they ain't. I know of them though. The dog is Boogie, and he was rescued from a bear trap that cost em his leg. Bubbles was my neighbors cat, but when they got a new one, they threw'er out, and she lost her ear to a stray" says Nancy. "Think I could have the dog if your keeping the bird" asks the guy. Nancy narrows her eyes. "Alright alright...Maybe the cat" asks the guy. Nancy picks up a big rock. "You know what, I'll settle for that meal" he says. "Go on inside. Leave the gun outside as always, or ya ain't welcome in my home anymore" she says. "Yes ma'am" the guy says as he places the gun down, and walks inside. "And don't eat my animals ya hear" she yells and then sighs. The flirty girl walks up to Nancy. "Please ma'am, could you-" she starts. "Oh crap, this critters not gonna make it if we don't act soon. Grab John, tell him to meet me in my office" says the girl as she rushes into a small hut. The flirty girl rushes in and sees the guy has the stove on, and is trying to pick up a blind piglet. "Your John right" she asks. The guy jumps and nods as he notices her standing there. "Er, Nancy was it? She needs you in her office" says the flirty girl. He nods, and they go in to see Nancy has already started using some medical supplies on the bird. "Alright John, since this here's yer fault, yer helpin save this critter. Grab me the usual tools" says Nancy. "Right away" he says as he grabs some tools. "Hey, your Nancy Bennett. I think your the one who saved my fire babies" says the girl. "So your the one who adopted Bubbles and Boogie? I'm glad to see there's someone who's still willing to show an injured animal love. Names Nancy, what's yours" asks Nancy. "Cherry" says the flirty girl. "Cherry? That don't sound like an actual name" says Nancy. "Well, technically isn't. My mother was just an extremely lazy namer, who gave birth in a strip club. I was named after the girl who was dancing when I was born" Cherry says. "That's...different" says Nancy. "Hey, mind if I stick around? If this were Boogie or Bubbles, I'd want someone to do the same for the same" says Cherry. "Sure. Could ya grab me a bucket of hot water, a cloth, and some wrapping" asks Nancy. "Right away" says Cherry. After a bit, the bird is patched up, and resting, and John has left. "Thank ya a million. You were a big help today" says Nancy. "It's nothing. I'm glad I could help an animal in need" says Cherry. "If ya wouldn't mind, I could use a nice animal lover like you around. I try m'best, but sometimes too many animals need care at once, it all gets a bit much" says Nancy. "Sure thing, if I could ask a counter favor. I'm not allowed to have pets at my guildhall, so, could you please keep my little fur babies stay here" asks Cherry. "Sure thing. It's a deal" says Nancy. "Great, see you then hot stuff" Cherry says as she starts walking away. "Hey, you ain't flirtin with me are ya" asks Nancy. "I am, is there a problem with that" asks Cherry. "Well yeah, yer a girl ain't ya? Ain't that kind weird" asks Nancy. "No, not really. Girls, guys, whatever. It doesn't really matter. Why, you aren't anti homo are you" asks Cherry. "Nah, it's just, I-I ain't never had a girl flirt with me before. Still, don't be doin it ya hear? This here is a place of work" she says. "Then let's move in the house" Chery says jokingly. Nancy shakes her head at Cherry. "I can tell yer gonna be a handful" says Nancy. "Yes. Either end you grab, I've got a little bit of curve" Cherry says jokingly. "N-Now I said stop that" says Nancy. "Sorry, it's what I get paid for" says Cherry. "So wait, yer a-" starts Nancy. "Stripper? Yeah, like mother like daughter" says Cherry. Nancy sighs. "This is already a big ol handful" she says with a sigh. That night, May and Pic sit ontop of the guildhall, and stare up at the moon. "It's beautiful" says May. Pic nods. "I remember doing this as kids" he says. "Y-You remember" May asks. "Of course" says Pic. (Flashback) A young May gets pushes into a bunch of other kids, including Pic way in the back crying. "Heh, welcome to slave life girl" her pusher says as he walks away. May starts crying, a kid groans. "Great. She's gonna be like the other guy" he says. May looks around, and sees Pic crying. "Stop crying already man. You've been here 3 weeks already" says a kid. Pic sniffles, and May slowly makes her way over to him. "M-My names M-May. (Sniffles). What's the matter" she asks. "B-But, your crying too" says Pic. "I'm alright. I'm a big girl, I can be strong while you need me" she says. Pic smiles. "I-Im Pic" he says. "Well Pic, why are you crying" May asks. Pic sniffles. "I-I don't remember my home, or my family. The only thing I remember is this place, and it's really scary and dark and lonely" Pic says as his lip quivers. May gives him a hug. "I don't have a family anymore either. I know. From now on, your gonna be my family Pic" says May. "B-But, I don't know you" says Pic. "It doesn't matter. Family is just someone you care about, and I really like you Pic" May says kindly. Pic smiles, and hugs her back. "Your turn" he says. "Huh" she asks. "You wanna talk about what happened" asks Pic. May tears up. "My mommy, and my daddy, and my big brother and sister. They (tears up), they (sniffles), they're dead" she says as she starts bawling and clenches Pic tightly. A little while later, the two sit on a rooftop, staring at the moon. "It's so pretty" says May. "So are you May" says Pic. "Hey Pic...do you think slaves get married" asks May. "I don't know, why" asks Pic. May smiles, and kisses Pic's cheek. "Because I wouldn't mind marrying you Pic" she says. (Flashback ends). "Oh yeah! I forgot about the kissing part" says Pic. "I never forgot it. It's the worst day of my life, but also, the best moment of it" she says with a blush. Suddenly, she leans in and kisses his cheek. "You know, I haven't changed my mind. I still wouldn't mind marrying you" she mumbles. "What was that" asks Pic. "Nothing. Goodnight" she says as she gives him a squeezing hug, and walks away. The next morning, Pic, May, Bodock, Celine, Ria, Isabella, Victus, and Lady Midnight stand by the gate. Pic takes a deep breath. "Alright, I'm re-" he starts. "Biiiiig bro" says Hikari. Pic turns around, and Hazuna walks up with Hikari, and the rest of her kids. "Be well Brother" says one of the boys. Hazuna hands Pic a bagged lunch. "M-Miss Hazuna. I'm fine-" he starts. She shakes her head, and holds out some medicine. Pic takes it, and Hazuna pulls out a compass. "Hazuna, stop worrying so much about him. He's fine" says Bodock. Hazuna hands him the compass, and pulls Pic forward. She pulls down her mask a bit, and kisses his forehead. "Be safe please" she says. "Of course miss Hazuna" says Pic. "Are you sure you're gonna be okay big bro? Me and mom are worried sick" says Hikari. "That's a girl thing, he's fine. Just leave him to me" says Bodock. Hazuna shakes her head at Bodock, and looks at Lady Midnight with slightly pleading eyed. "I will Hazuna. Pic is in safe hands with me" she says. Hazuna nods. "Hey big bro, I wanna hug before you leave" says Hikari. Pic gives her and Hazuna both hugs, and tries to with the boys, but they all disappears without a word. "They do that. They're reeeeeally good ninjas" says Hikari. "Well, I suppose this marks the start of our grandiose journey" says Victus. "Are you ready for it" asks Pic. "Depends what it is exactly" Victus says jokingly. "I know I'm damn sure ready" says Bodock. "Well then, let's start out journey" Pic says exitedly as they walk out of the city.
