Vytas never thought of himself to have a hard life. To him living in harsh conditions was normal. He lived on a farm on the countryside, growing up in the cold country of Russia.

His parents were constantly away for work, and he was left with farm tasks. Mundane things like milking the cows and taking eggs from the chicken pen. He never associated these things as mundane, contrary to what you might think- he felt happy doing this. He felt needed; Useful

When he finished, he always went straight to the living room, albeit at a calm pace. He was going to rewatch a movie he has watched since he was only four. Покемон 5: Герои, otherwise known as Pokémon Heroes. His parents had found an old copy of it when his father had searched through an abandoned home. He still faintly remembers when they first played it. Ever since that day he fantasied Pokémon; Creatures that would stay by your side and help you through anything. He never told his parents about it though- he knew they would laugh and call him childish. Vytas was now 12.

Vytas woke up to a blinding light in his eye, He slowly got himself ready and called downstairs. There was no response. He waited a few seconds before calling them out again, this time a bit louder "Hello?". His face scrunched up in confusion 'Weird, They're not here', he thought. He cautiously opened the door to his room and looked left and right through the upstairs hallway. Then, Vytas nonchalantly marched down the stairs, making quite a commotion to nobody in particular. He was home alone- and he had finished all of his chores the day before. "Yeah!" He silently cheered to himself.

Vytas knew how to take care of himself, so he cooked the eggs he had collected the previous day and treated himself with some cut ham. When he was alone, he liked to dance. So when he was cooking he hummed a tune from Pokémon while swaying his body left to right, all while expertly salting the well-done eggs. When he had finished he walked over happily to the dining table and sat down. By then the aroma of the eggs had spread all around the room and he took it upon himself to "Taste" the air. With a deep breath in and a hearty exhale, he quickly said his prayers and ate, but he couldn't stop feeling like something concealed was watching him.

After his breakfast he made sure to wash his plates and clean up after cooking, if his parents came back he knew they would congratulate him for being so responsible but if there was a mess then he'd be in for some big trouble. He walked over to the sofa with a bounce in his step and sat down. "What should I do next", He proclaimed to the room. His eyes wandered to the DVD of "Pokémon Heroes" and he instantly thought up of something. "I am going to make figurines!" He exclaimed. Truth be told, he'd always wanted a Pokémon figure. It wasn't out of jealousy or greed- Jealousy not even being viable because he was homeschooled. He just thought of having a toy to play with. In his dreams he imagined flying a Latios over mountains and valleys, twisting and turning like there was no tomorrow. Speaking of Latios, that was his favourite Pokémon, he knew there was over some 300 Pokémon but he didn't even know half- since he only watched one movie and didn't get to learn them all.

He set to work, getting his pencils, pens, paper and glue at the ready. He then laid the paper down onto the carpet and laid all of his tools there. Once he got them all neat he proceeded to lay spread eagled onto the carpet and got to work. Ten minutes into his drawing, the weather outside turned into a dreary, dark , grey sky. By twenty minutes the weather had worsened to storm like proportions, weirdly; It didn't rain. Vytas noticed the situation outside and stood up to observe as the sky moved rapidly. "It was so sunny just awhile ago" He pondered. Vytas shrugged it off and returned to his drawing.

An ear piercing shriek was heard as something collided with Vytas's house. He stood up and looked around with a panicked look in his eyes. "What is going on", Vytas said quietly- suddenly thunder boomed and reverberated in his house. Judging from the delay of the thunder from the lighting he assumed it came 500~ meters away from his house. 'The metal radar dish must've caught the electricity', Vytas thought. "Why didn't my television blow?" He inquired facing the TV. He slowly crept up to it, but then he heard something. It was shuffling, coming from behind him. He turned around just in time and saw a blue and white figure tackle him into the television. He braced for the electric shock, It never came.

Little did Vytas know, that on this fateful day, he would finally live out his dream.
