I've originally started this in response to my getyourwordsout Yahtzee fills but may pop in any other short fills that I write featuring Wanda. I didn't want to post each of these separately so I've chosen to create a collection for them.

This fill is written for getyourwordsout's Yahtzee challenge, where I have five prompts and need to write a certain amount of words to make my Yahtzee. I'm writing for "Aces" where I need to write between 100-399 words.

First prompt is for my getyourwordsout Yahtzee prompt "Mizpah" (which means "(adj) worn (as by lovers) to signify remembrance"). This does contain heavy WandaVision spoilers and only very light ones for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (episode one).

Collection title is from Fleetwood Mac's "Gypsy".

her face says freedom
part one: remembrance

"What's this?" Bucky's calloused fingers are gentle as he pulls her hand away from the table. She turns on her stool at the kitchen island, her heart beating fast. His attention's transfixed by her silver wedding band.

Bowing his head, he brings her hand close to his face, the tip of his nose almost touching her knuckles. She can feel his breath. "This is new." Running his fingertip over the silver ring, Wanda can't help but hold her breath. His touch is light but his fingertips burn the inside of her palm.

Clearing her throat quietly, Wanda pulls back her shoulders in an attempt to find the strength. "A ring."

He cracks a smile, appearing boyish. She wants to press her fingers into the dimples of his cheeks. "I know it's a ring. I remember you used to wear several rings. So, why this one?"

Biting her bottom lip, she lifts a shoulder. "I like it the best."

He takes a seat beside her, knee bumping against the inside of hers. "Does it have any significance?"

Wanda remains quiet, trying to create the words.

His face falls. "Oh." He sounds disappointed. Leaning back slightly in his stool, he keeps her hand in his as he brings it down to his upper thigh. He looks at her, brows lifted. "You're married."

"I was." Brushing her hair behind her ear, she looks away from him. "To Vision. In Westview."

"Oh." This time, it's filled with understanding. "You weren't wearing this before."

She shakes her head. "No, I wasn't," she says quietly.

He lightly rubs the pads of his fingers over the backs of hers. "Rule number four: Don't hide, Wanda. This?" He lifts her hand. "Isn't something you hide, especially not from friends." He smiles. "Got it?"

Smiling, she nods. "Got it."
