"Lovers in the night
Poets tryin' to write
We don't know how to rhyme
But, dang, we try.
But all I really know
You're where I wanna go
The part of me that's you will never die."

Kensi curled into Deeks' chest, hands fisting in the dusty blue cotton of his t-shirt. His arms were wrapped around her, one hand resting on the back of her head, the other between her shoulder blades. Their legs were entwined, her tennis shoes touching his. Kensi let out a blissful sigh as Deeks mumbled into her hair something unintelligible.
"Hmm?" Kensi murmured, tilting her head up to catch a glance of Deeks' face. He leaned away from her head, repeating his sentence.
"Your belt buckle is hurting me."
"Hmm," Kensi hummed, not really in the mood to move.
"Move," Deeks said.
"Well maybe you should get off of me," Kensi replied, pushing against him, unfisting her hands from his shirt and pushing against his chest. He fell unceremoniously to the floor of the bullpen with a yelp. Kensi smirked, and sat up. Deeks frowned, but said nothing. He tugged up his shirt, glancing down at the red imprint Kensi's belt bucked had made, just below his navel.
"Yeah, look at this," he said. "Ow."
"Suck it up," Kensi replied with a snort.
"How, how did we even get there?" Deeks asked, pointing at the couch he had previously been laying on. Kensi shrugged, not real sure about that either. The mission was dark, and empty. Deeks scrubbed a fist over his eyes. "What time's it?" he asked. Kensi glanced at her watch, pressing the button that illuminated the numbers.
"Just after 0500," she replied, dropping her wrist back to her lap.
"Don't gotta be back here till 8," Deeks said. "I don't really feel like driving home right now," he mumbled.
"Me either," Kensi agreed, pushing herself to stand up. She headed out of the bullpen.
"Where are you going?"
"Gotta pee," Kensi replied, trotting off towards the locker room. Deeks got up off the floor and sank back down on the couch, running a hand through wild hair with a sigh. Kensi returned a moment later, belt and jeans swapped for a baggy pair of sweatpants. "Look, no belt buckle," she says.
"Does that you want more snuggles?" Deeks asked with a raised eyebrow. "And are those my pants?"
"Only if you take off your belt," Kensi replied, pulling up her shirt to show her matching belt buckle indent peeking out from the waistband of her sweats.
"Done," Deeks said, deftly unbuckling his belt and pulling it through the loops.
"And yes, these are your pants. I found them in your locker."
"Wait, wait, wait, you went in the men's locker room?" Deeks asked, squinting at her.
"I didn't have anything comfortable to wear," Kensi said with a shrug. "Nobody's here anyway."
"I want those pants back," Deeks said pointedly as Kensi trotted back towards him. She sat down beside him, folding her legs under her and resting her head against his shoulder. She sighed. Deeks wrapped his arms around her shoulders, tugging her over so she was leaning against his chest. He popped his legs up on the cushions, sliding them beneath hers so she was basically in his lap.
"I don't know how to do this," Kensi whispered, closing her eyes, clutching a hand to his shirt.
"Do what?" Deeks whispered back, glancing down at the top of her head. Kensi shifted her hips over so she was fully on his lap.
"This. This, love thing." Kensi fiddled with the part of his shirt in her hand. "Are we in love?"
Deeks blanched at the question, not expecting her to be so blunt. He paused a few moments before replying.
"I-I'd like to think so," he stuttered. He took a deep breath.
"O-okay," Kensi replied hesitantly. "I-I don't think I'm very good at it."
"You're perfect at it," Deeks whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. Kensi smiled and nuzzled into his chest.
"You sure?" she asked.
"Positive," Deeks confirmed, pulling her closer to him, if that were possible. Kensi's eyes grew heavy as she drew up her legs closer to herself.
"You're already a part of me," Kensi mumbled, half asleep, not really aware of what she was saying.
"Hmm?" Deeks asked. "You wanna say that again, Fern?"
"Y're already a par' o' m'," she repeated, before burying her face in his neck.
"Same, pretty girl," Deeks whispered. "So it is a love story?"
"Mm," Kensi replied sleepily with a nod. Deeks smiled and placed a hand on the side of her face, holding her close to him. He closed his eyes and was asleep in minutes.
Hetty, who had never left the mission in the first place, brought over a blanket, gently tossing it over the pair on the couch. She smiled, before gently snapping off the lamp light on Deeks' desk before leaving the mission.
