Camping sometimes wasn't the way that people expected or intended, but rather something somewhat new. And this village was a sign of that, as Shirayuki walked along the little trails that led through each section, going from treehouse to treehouse, all of which were really impressive to look up at.

Obi had already climbed a rock wall leading up to one on a whim with Suzu before he appeared right back beside her, beaming, as if he were a kid on Christmas morning, and it's rare to see Obi completely unreserved. He often makes cautious the latest style he wears, so it's an absolute delight to watch him just be happy.

And Zen right now is just eyeing the pretty archectecture around them, blue eyes wide as if he is completely prepared to survey the area before he explores it. They have the biggest treehouse, right in the back reserved for the next couple nights. And Obi's promised to give them a tour later on of the area, as if he had some knowledge about the woods, despite never having been here before.

It's as Kiki's pointing out the particular treehouse that will be their home for the next two days, that Obi grabs her hand, much more used to being around her, and Shirayuki smiles as one of her closest friends take her up to where they'll stay to explore the little cabin like tree house.

Shirayuki's bags are forgotten somewhere near Zen and the others, and Obi guides her up the steep steps that lead to where the tree house actually is; Shirayuki had anticipated rope ladders, and she isn't entirely sure if she's disappointed with the step system or not, that is the reality.

Yet the treehouse is much larger up here than it even appeared at the ground level, and right off to the side is a gated in section of rope, an odd little thing, that Obi makes a beeline for, to open the gate and hold it for her.

"What is it?" It's almost like those stretches of rope on a playground that kids will climb across, but it's in a small sectioned off, square shape. It doesn't really lead to anywhere, just sits casually in the air, as if daring gravity to come through.

"A nest, I think?" Obi eyes the rope structure, and suddenly, that is what it seems like, a little square nest, big enough for five or six people all back to back. Shirayuki has never admittingly longed to fly, nor spent a lot of time picturing just how a bird lives, but she longs to walk across it, to sit down and feel as if she's in the safety and security that a bird's nest must seem to have.

So, she thanks Obi for holding the gate open, and she reaches out for the wooden bars that the rope made nest is attached to, and the first step is a little wobbly, like stepping across a thin branch overlooking the ground. It's a slow walk to far enough on that she'd feel okay sitting down, not making it so anyone else who might want to come on has to crawl over her, yet not far enough to make it so that she has a long way back.

Laying down on it is almost plush like, as if she just laid down on a really soft bed that reaches up to meet her, that seemingly curves around her body, and just as she's laid down and gets comfortable, Obi makes his way into the "nest." He takes big, steady steps, not holding on to the wooden bars, as if he does this all the time or is showing off like male birds often do.

Shirayuki bites back a snort, as he sits down beside her, looking for all the world like he is more comfortable up here than he ever was on the ground, and then he lays, arms spread out and legs too, as if he were the human version of a starfish. Up here, it looks almost comical.

"Oi, Obi! Shirayuki!" And against the nerves starting to peek out inside her, Shirayuki looks down to where Zen is standing with Mitsuhide and Kiki. Ryuu's more off to the side, not really looking up at them, and Shirayuki can't help but smile. They look kind of small up here, but not overly so. It's almost like she's flying.

"Hey!" Obi yells back, chuckling as he finally pulls his arms in and rolls over to face her with one arm underneath him.

"You're laying on your side?" Shirayuki's biting her lip to keep from laughing at him; Obi looks so comfortable up here, that it's almost worrying, except for the spike of warmth that floods her chest at his joy. For once nothing is holding Obi back from the burst of happiness that this trip has given him.

"You should try it too." Obi encourages her, moving only slightly, as if he, too, were weightless.

"Okay." So, she rolls over onto her side and faces her friend, underneath the bright sun on an almost crystal blue sky, Obi practically shines. Up here, he could be a bird rather than the shadow that night often makes him seem like. He's weightless, happy, and sunny; golden eyes as bright as the sun, and smile as charmingly wide. "You're so happy."

"It's a good day," is all he says, as he finally rolls back onto his back to stare up at the sky, as if waiting for a cloud to roll casually past.

"It is." Shirayuki agrees, because there's nothing better than a day away from the stress of busyness or the mounting pressure of pretty serious jobs when you get to spend that with some of your favorite people in the world.
