The Life Before The Crew

"Daddy! Daddy!"

A mini yellow creature was racing towards a garden. There was another yellow creature. This one looked the same, but bigger and has wolf ears hat on his head and a scar across his eye. The big one was watering his garden, but suddenly stopped when he heard the high pitch squeaky voice.

"What's up bud?" The bigger one said to the little one.

"I found something really pretty!" The small creature revealed a tiny rock in her hand.

He stared at it in awe. It was a gem! A shiny purple Amethyst that is hard to find. "Wow, cool! Yasmin, where did you find that?"

The small one, who was now known as Yasmin excitedly said "I found it with those rocks over there!" She pointed at the rocks near a river.

"Now that's a pretty lucky find." Her farther said, then he asked "You know what that is?"

"A purple rock!" Yasmin replied.

Her father, who was known as Yasser, started to explain. "That bud, is a gemstone. It's called a Amethyst. They are rare. Which means they are really hard to find."

"Where do they come from?!" Yasmin asked with full interest.

"They are usually found in volcanic places. They also come from meteoroids too."

"What is... Volcanic places?"

"A volcanic place is really warm. You can find a big mountain there. That mountain holds lava! Lava is like water, but red and REALLY hot! I wouldn't recommend anyone to swim in it..."

Yasmin's eye started to light up with amusement and excitement. "Can we go there?"

"Well..." Yasser was unsure what answer.

"Pleeeeeeeese...?"

Her farther chuckled and said, "Alright bud, we can go there soon." He patted his daughter on the head. "YAY! I can't wait!" Yasmin said cheerfully. "I'm gonna go add this gemmy to my collection!"

Yasmin LOVES to collect things. She collects rocks, feathers, leaves, and even fur from animals! This rock that she just found is now her favourite!

She ran up the steps and into the ship. This ship wasn't the biggest ship, but it's good enough for 2 astronauts!

When you first walk in, you are in the living room. To the right, there is a kitchen that is 2 smaller then the living room. To the left there is a hallway that leads to the 2 bedrooms.

She ran down that hallway and pressed a button at the side of the door. Once she pressed it, the door automatically opened with a soft sizzling sound.

She entered and pulled out a box from under her bed. She opened it and placed the beautiful rock inside with all the other rocks. She then looked at the rock and thought for moment. She wondered, does this rock deserves to be in a box in the dark?

Nah

Instead she placed it on her night table so she and her father can easily look at it.

She went back outside and watched her farther in their garden. She noticed that he was planting. She wanted to plant too! So she ran up to her father and ask him.

"Of course you can help bud." He said. He grabbed some seeds out of the bag and put them in her hands. "Thank you!" She said and started to dig in a good spot.

She buried the last seed and said "Done!"

"Good job!" Her farther then asked her "Wanna give them some water?"

"Of course!" She grabbed the watering can from him and started to water the seeds. "Alright, that should be enough for them." Said Yasser.

She stopped and said "Ok!" Then she suddenly made a big yawn.

"Uh oh, someone's tired."

"I'm not tired. I'm wide awake!"

"Sure your aren't." Yasser said teasingly. "It's almost time for bed anyways." Her father scooped her up.

"Awwwww, but I wanna play some more..." Yasmin whined.

"We can play some more tomorrow. After breakfast!"

"Ok..."

2 years later…

One day, Yasser decided to take his daughter out for hunting. He never taught her how to hunt before, so today he will teach her some skills how to sneak and strike her pray.

"Daddy?" Squeaked the young astronaut.

Yasser glanced down at his daughter and said "Yes bud?"

"Where actually are we going?" Asked Yasmin. They go for a walk everyday in this forest, but something was different. Yasmin noticed that they were going in a different direction this time.

"We're just going on a stroll." Yasser answered. Then he turned his head to face his daughter again with a cheerful expression and said "And hunt."

"Wait." Yasmin said as she stopped. "Hunt?" She narrowed her eyes up at her farther in puzzlement.

"Yeah, hunt! It's about time that I teach you how to hunt." Her farther told her.

"Cool, but why?" Yasmin asked. Not wanting to hurt any animals.

"Because" Yasser started to explain. "It is important to know how to hunt so you can survive on your own one day."

"On my own?!" Yasmin couldn't believe what she just heard. She would never EVER leave her farther! Her farther would never leave her too!

...Right...?

"What do you mean on my own?! Your not gonna leave me, are you?" She said in a upset tune.

"Now slow down there sport!" Yasser said as he tried to reason her. "I will never leave you. At least on purpose."

Yasmin looked up at her farther once more, glossy eyed.

"Look, it's important to know how to hunt. Alone or not alone." Yasser reassured her. "When I say this, it doesn't mean that I will leave you. It's just means that... I would like a hunting partner!"

"Really?"

Yasser lifted his daughter up into a hug. "I promise I will never leave you."

Yasmin cheered right up when she heard this. If her hunting will make him happy, then she will hunt with him.

She will be the best hunter in this planet!

4 years later…

Yasmin was walking back home with some fresh kill. She caught a climber and on her way back she cause a hopper. Too bad she didn't caught a Maskstealer. It's her favourite meat! But hoppers and climbers are good too.

It was night time and she can here the crickets screaming everywhere. She likes the song of crickets. It was like a nice melody to her ears.

Yasmin was now 12 and her farther decided to let her go by herself. As long as she stays close to the ship.

"Dad, I'm home!" She called out as soon she walked in through the door.

Yasser walked out of the kitchen and greeted his child. "Hey bud. Caught a nice chunk of meat I see."

"Yeah! I tried looking for a maskstealers, but I didn't see see any." Yasmin said with disappointment.

Maskstealers are very hard to find here. Don't feel too disappointed when you don't find any." Yasser reassured her.

"I don't mind, I ain't picky." Yasmin said.

She went in the kitchen to skin the creatures and put their meat in the fridge.

Both Yasmin and Yasser where sitting on the couch watching TV. Yasmin was growing board at what ever they where watching.

Yasser heard snoring and he looked at his daughter who was fast asleep. Yasser chuckled at how adorable his daughter was.

He went to her room and grabbed a blanket off her bed and gently placed the blanket on the cute Yasmin on the couch.

Yasser smiled and whispered "good night" then went to his room too have a good night's sleep.

But before he slept he thought about taking her to the place where she always wanted to go.

The volcano.

Yasmin heard nothing but tweeters singing when she woke. She realized she fell asleep on the couch. Again. She sat up and stretched.

(What time is it?) She thought as she looked at the clock. It was 8:45 A.M.. Not the usual time she wakes up at. She always wakes up earlier, like around 7:00 A.M..

She got off the couch and picked a book off the shelf then sat back down and started to read.

It was about a God among us. The god who has created the Galaxy, planets, creatures, asteroids, us astronauts, ect. He/she is called The First Astronaut. They are a multi-colored plague astronaut that lives somewhere unknown. Far, far away. Only the dead can visit them.

Unlike bean astronauts like Yasmin and Yasser, the plagues are astronauts who look like twitters. They have 2 eyes and a black beak.

Yasmin has always wondered if the god is real or not. Maybe it's just a fairy tale? Who knows. Only the dead will know for sure.

Yasmin continued reading until she heard a sizzling sound, then a soft quite bang.

"Good morning bud." She heard her father say when he appeared at the entrance to the hallway.

"Good morning dad!" Yasmin greeted him.

Yasser headed into the kitchen to get same food for breakfast. But before he walked in Yasmin asked him something what was on her mind. "Um, dad?"

Yasser stopped and turned. "Yeah?"

"Do you really believe in the God?"

Yasser tilted his head in questioning "The first astronaut?"

Yasmin nodded

"Hmmm, I have my doubts, but there are some possibilities that he's real." He said, thinking.

"THEY are actually a HE/SHE. Genderless." Yasmin corrected him.

"Right." Yasser said.

He walked over to her and said "Pretty interesting stuff, eh?"

"Yeah! I hope they are real. They seem to be very nice and colorful!" Yasmin said with little excitement.

"Indeed they are." He said. "Anyways, what do you want to eat?"

"Just some fruit please! Any kind don't matter." She answered him. Her stomach started to growl when she thought about food.

"Alrighty!" Yasser said with a solute

They were eating breakfast at the table in the living room. Yasmin has a few pears, a banana, and a few orange. While Yasser was eating the climber I caught.

We ate in silence until Yasser broke it. "I'm thinking about taking you somewhere very special today. Somewhere you'll like."

Yasmin stopped eating and glance at her farther in questioning. "What place?"

"Oh, just somewhere." Yasser said. "It's a surprise."

"A surprise?!" Yasmin squeaked in excitement.

"Yeah! I'm thinking about taking you there after lunch." Yasser said.

"Awesome! I can't wait!" Yasmin almost started to bounce in excitement when she said this.

She liked Dad's surprises! They seem to never disappoint her, though she kinda wished he tells her instead of making her wait.

Yasser watched his daughter eating the fruits very fast like she hadn't eaten in a week.

He smiled. He couldn't wait to go on this trip either. Her daughter was waiting for years to go see the volcano. Now was time to take her.

"Hey dad! Hurry up!" Yasmin shouted, the started to run again.

"Slow down there bud!" Yasser shouted after her while slightly panting. "My body is getting old to run as fast now."

Yasmin giggled. "Alright."

They walked, and walked, and walked. Yasmin was having a good time. So was her farther.

Yasmin saw whole kinds of things that she hasn't saw before. She saw a bunch of weird looking creature, planets, and even land.

Her favourite was this GIGANTIC waterfall! It was the biggest thing Yasmin had ever seen. It was WAY bigger then all the trees she seen. All the hills she climbed up on. It was also SUPER loud! She could hardly hear herself think.

She always liked playing in the river, but Yasser wouldn't allow her to go in this one. The current was so fierce it can kill anything in a instant.

They've been walking for 30 minutes now. Yasmin wondered how much farther they will go. "Hey Dad? Are we almost there?" She asked

"Yes, it's not far now." Yasser answered, then asked teasingly. "Why? You're not tired already, are you?"

"What? Of course not! Just wondering." Yasmin said.

They walked some more, but the little energetic astronaut decided to speed up again.

"H-hey, what did I say about running away on me?!" Yasser cried. But Yasmin didn't heard her farther so she ran out of his sight.

Yasser sighed and took off after her.

Yasmin continued to run. Not so fast, but definitely not walking.

"YASMIN! WAIT UP!"

Yasmin admittedly stopped. But not because of her farther shouting, but because there was something there. Something that made her blood felt like it drained right out of here body.

This giant thing who was towering over was a wolverine. It was looking down at her, bearing his teeth while growling.

Yasmin's whole body began to shake with fear. Sweat started to pour. Should she run? Or stay still hoping this creature won't think she's a threat?

She gasped when the wolverine opened its jaws. It had lots of long razor sharp teeth. She was so frozen with fear she still just stood there.

The wolverine roared and pounced. Yasmin screamed as she flattened her self to the ground. Waiting for the agony pain once those teeth sinks into her flesh and then death.

But it never came.

Instead she just heard a yelp then shouting. She slowly looked over and saw her farther wrestling the creature.

The wolverine had Yasser pined down to the ground and about to take a massive bite, but failed when Yasser wrapped his tongue around the wolverine's neck. He flipped it over like it was the light as a pillow. Now Yasser had it pined. His hands pining the creature's hands.

With one bite to the neck he ended the creature's life quickly.

Yasmin was still on the ground shaking in fear. Yasser, who had a little blood on him glanced at his terrified daughter.

Yasser was thinking about scolding her for taking off when he told her not too and almost had herself killed, but decided not to. That fear was punishment enough.

"Well... looks like we got some wolf stew for dinner." He said, with a little humor.

"Y-yeah." Yasmin said shakily. She sighed and got up. (At least I'm still alive. I'm just gonna pretend nothing scary happened and I didn't almost die.) She thought, trying to calm herself down.

Yasser walked up to her, went down onto his knees and gently placed a hand on her head to comfort.

"Are you okay there bud?" He spoke softly.

Yasmin nodded, not sure if she should speak.

"Do you still want to go?" He asked.

Yasmin thought for a moment, then again with the nod.

"Alright, just don't run away next time. Stay VERY close to me, you got that?" He said sternly.

She nodded. She tried to forget about what just happened and hold back the tears. But the dam wouldn't hold any longer. She burst into tears and jumped onto her dad.

"Shhhhhh shhhhhh" Yasser stroke her head to calm her. "It's alright buddy. Everything's ok."

"I-I I'm sorry! I didn't mean to put us in danger!" She wailed.

"Hey, mistakes happened. At least not one of us is hurt." Yasser reassured her.

"Y-yeah." She sniffed and wiped her eye.

They stayed silent for a moment, then Yasser asked "Do you... Still wanna go?"

She thought for a moment. "Of course! I'll try not to get ourselves killed next time." She answered with a little atheistic in her voice.

Yasser chuckled "Now that's the spi-"

"D- Daddy!?"

His daughter caught off his sentence. He noticed that she has started trampling again and her eye was so wide it looked like it's gonna pop out.

"What's wrong?" He asked with concern.

"Behind you..." She answered him fearfully.

Then he heard growling. It got louder and louder. It sounded like there was more then one.

He slowly turned his head. What he saw chilled him to the bone.

There was not 3, not 5, but 7 wolverines! They were staring down at the fearful yellow astronauts.

Then he heard growling from the OPPOSITE side.

The poor little astronaut was shaking badly in his hands. Yasser's heart was thumping in his throat.

One howled and then a few of them started to charge.

Yasser stood up tall, opened his jaws wide and made the loudest roar, his long tongue sticking all the way out.

He started fighting back. Clawing, biting, and strangling.

Yasmin was behind a bush, hiding for dear life. She was still shaking like it was - 100C out. She wanted to join in the fight to protect her farther, but fear held her back.

"YASMIN, GO! I'LL HOLD THEM OFF!" Her farther shouted.

Yasmin hesitated, then one of them was running straight at her!

Yasser grabbed one if it's legs with his tongue, causing it to collapse to the ground.

"NOW!" He shouted once more.

This time Yasmin got up and ran as fast as she can. Jumping over logs, rocks, zipping between trees, bushes, and ducking under branches.

Her mind was clouded with so much fear she didn't know how long she was running for, which way she was even going.

She then tripped over a tree root and started to roll painfully down a steep hill. It felt she was rolling down it forever until she landed face first on the ground, knocking all the wind out of her.

She just laid their on her side, gasping for breath. When all her breath came back she started to sob all her fears away. Hoping that her dad will be okay and safely find her here. So she waited….

The next thing she knew, the sun was almost behind the planet.

She realized where she was. She must of fallen asleep waiting for her dad to come back.

Oh God.

She looked around fearful for her dad hoping she would spot the big yellow astronaut. Unfortunately she did not see him anywhere in sight.

(He should be here by now!) She fearfully thought.

"Dad?" She called.

Nothing.

She begin climbing up the hill and called again. "Dad!"

Still nothing.

"DAD!" This time she screamed.

...

She began heading in the same direction the ran away. Should she really be moving? It might be even more difficult for her dad to find her. But she couldn't just stay there for hours and hours. Her farther could be out there in trouble! He could be injured or something.

Or... far worse...

Yasmin shook her head furiously. (No, he can't be dead! He's the strongest creature on this planet! He's fine...)

She then spotted some red splotches on the ground.

(Blood?) She thought.

She realized there was a trail of blood and she followed it.

(This is not my dad's blood. Is it?) The thought choked her.

She followed it till she came across a wall of bushes. She carefully climbed and bug her way through. When she finally got through, getting a few scratches in the process she gasped what was in front of her.

There was her dad, lying face down on the ground. He was covered in wounds from head to feat. Beneath him was a pool of blood.

She could not believe the state he was in. He must be in a lot of pain!

"Dad...? She said. There was no response.

She walked up to him and gave him a nudge. "Dad?"

Silence. He was just lying there motionless.

"Hey dad, come on! You have to wake up!" She said anxiously, shaking him. "You're hurt! We have to go home!"

Then all of the sudden the tears begun to stream out of her. "DADDY! WAKE UP!"

She dropped down onto her knees and wail.

"DADDY PLEASE! YOU CAN'T DIE! YOU PROMISED NOT TO LEAVE ME!"

She has not cried so much before. The pain in her heart was so unbearable. It hurt more then any bruises, wounds, and sprains she ever had.

It was the type of pain of loss. That pain where you just can't believe what reality has done to you and it is eating bit by bit till you are no longer know that you are alive. That you hate your pulse for beating.

She buried her face on him and cried and cried and cried.

"Y-you-you p-promised you wouldn't l-leave me..." She choked against sobs.

This was all her fault. If only she listened to him not to take off this wouldn't have happened! She should be lying there motionless. She didn't deserve to be alive after what she has done! Her dad should be still alive, or at least she should be dead along with him.

She laid there painfully for hours until she finally fell asleep...

The ghost was looking down sadly at the poor little astronaut. This was never meant to happened. He has promised to never leave her and he had broken that promise.

Actually, not quite.

Alive or dead, he will always be with her, no matter what.

He patted his daughter's head for comfort.

"I will always be with you, Yasmin. I'm sorry."

5 years later...

SMACK

Yasmin landed face first into the dirt. She got unto her knees gasping for air. She has been running for her life for like HOURS.

She heard a snap which made her heart skip more beats.

She slowly turned her head to the side to see what was behind her. To her relief, it was her dad!

She was so happy to see him again after for so long! Her heart swelled up with happiness.

"Dad!" She called, running up to him.

She shouted "Dad" a few more times until she jumped onto him clutching his chest and buried her face into it, sobbing.

"I- I missed you so much!" She cried.

But as she said this, she fell forward as the flesh turned to ashes. She landed on her knees with a grunt. What fell beside her was a bone.

She can only stare in horror at the remains of her farther.

She slowly picked up the bone. "D-dad?" She said fearfully.

Suddenly she heard fierce growling.

A wolverine jumped up into the air, it's jaws opened wide. It snapped shut in thin air has Yasmin dodged out of the way.

And there she goes, running for her life again.

She continued to run until she tripped over a root and fell roughly on her side.

She got up rubbing her side, clearly aching.

Just then, the ground begun to shake, causing Yasmin to lose balance and fell onto her stomach.

The ground then begun to crack beneath her. With a welp she slipped into the large crack.

Dangling over the edge, she managed to pull her self up. But the ground wasn't finished yet and it looks like it won't show her any mercy.

She ran, jumping over cracks and dodging every new one that split in front of her.

But the cracks got worse and worse and Yasmin begun to feel very tired.

There was safest way to go. Everywhere was just giant cracks too big to jump.

Then the spot she was standing on crumbled beneath her. She tumbled and started to fall, screaming.

The fall felt like minutes until she splashed into lava. She somehow wasn't burning to death, but she sure was drowning.

She stuck her head of the surface struggling to breathe. But with one breath, giant waves came crashing over her.

Down down down to the bottom of what seemed like a ocean of lava.

But she wasn't gonna give up. She remembered what her dad taught her about swimming.

Lifting her head and moving her hands and leg evenly, she managed to climb back up to the surface.

She gasp for air and begun to paddle with all her strength. She spotted a rock up ahead. It was perfect for a break.

She dug her claws in the rock and climbed up, panting.

Taking a look at her surroundings, she saw a cliff not so far from her. She wondered if she could climb up it.

But then she spotted something. Something that made her eye widened.

At the top of the cliff was her farther, staring down at her.

"DAD!" She called.

There was no answer. No movement.

She dad was just looking down at her with pure hatred.

"D-dad?" She said with concern.

"It was your fault I died, you naughty kid. Now you will feel the punishment you deserve."

Yasmin heard roaring up ahead. She turned around to see a HUGE wave coming straight at her!

Soon she saw nothing but lava and she couldn't breath. She tried desperately to get back up to the surface but failed.

Instead rocks came crashing down on her. Pushing her down to the bottom, then everything went dark.

Yasmin awoke with a gasp. Looking around shaking and panting fearfully, she found herself in her room.

With a few deep breaths, she managed to calm herself down. (It was just a dream.) She reassured herself.

She stepped out of bed and placed a wolf hat onto her head. The one her dad worn.

She always put in on her night table before she goes to bed. It reminds her that dad was always by her side and he never left... That's why she wears it too.

(Today will be another boring day...) She thought while getting the meat out of the freezer.

She ate a Octasnapper that she caught yesterday. She was really getting a hang with catching water creatures now. Watercreatures were always a pain in the ass trying to catch them. Even her farther, the best hunter had a hard time.

Yasmin remembered a time where he managed to grab a whisker with his tongue, but he slipped and fell into the pond. I laughed so hard at him. It was like the funniest thing for a 5 year old ever. She also remember him grabbing her with his tongue and pulled her into the pond. It scared her at first but she didn't cry, she just laughed at him more and started to splash him. That's how the battle a splashing begun.

The good memories with him brought tears to her eye. She shook her head to clear all of the memories away.

After eating her breakfast, she went out side to hunt some more. She was already running low on food.

(Maybe I should go water catching again.) She thought when she reached the pond.

She bent down to her knees and opened her mouth slightly, getting ready to strike a near by creature.

Then she saw some moment in the water. It was a whisker! She stuck her tongue out, waiting for it to get closer. When it got about 2 feet in front of her she opened her jaws wider and her tongue zipped out of her mouth at the creature.

The tongue splashed into the water but it came back out empty.

She tried this a few more times but no luck. So she gave a huff of frustration and decide to hunt land creatures instead.

She caught a few hoppers and a climber. She took them back to her ship a went for more.

After wondering around for minutes, a skitter a rustling in a small bush beside a tree.

She noticed this and snuck carefully in a nearby bush.

Same as watering catching, she opened her jaws and stuck her tongue out a little, waiting for the small creature to come a little closer.

The creature didn't notice her presence at all as it was running straight at her.

When it got to the right spot, she struck the creature with her tongue.

(That should be enough for now. Now it's time to water my plants.) She thought.

She heard rustling in the trees behind her.

(Hmmm... Maybe one more...) She thought

She sneaked over to where the sound came from by crawling under a bush in the process. She spotted the branches moving in a nearby bush.

Crouching onto her hands and knees, her belly nearly touching the ground, she crept over.

But the she saw a head of a creature she was not hoping to see...

A wolverine's head.

Once it saw her it beard it's teeth and stood up onto it's hind legs.

(Here we go again...) She thought, rolling her eye.

She took of at high speed, the beast trialing behind her.

2 more then jumped in front of her. They're beard bloody teeth shinning in the sun. They're fur standing straight up they looked like giant balls of fluff.

"YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" Yasmin shouted at them in frustration.

She bolted to the side, the wolverines howled hungrily and chased after her.

Like the usual, she jumped over objects and zipped between the trees.

She continued to run run run, but suddenly she came across a cliff. She stopped just in time before she fell to her doom.

She looked back fearfully to find the wolverines hunched onto all for legs growling at her and drooling.

She glanced all around her surroundings trying to find a escape route.

No luck. She was trapped.

Or was she?

She looked at the far end of the cliff. The other side was only 6 feet away. She was gonna take her chances and jump across it. 6 feet wasn't far at all!

Backing up a bit, a few loops of breathing in and out, then just as the wolverines pounced she jumped.

Thanks to her claws she managed to get a good gripped on the edge on the other side. Pulling herself up she looked back.

She thought she was safe but she forgot that wolverines can jump at a long distance. 20 feet perhaps?

When the creatures started to jump, she was off again.

(No.)

She immediately stopped running.

(That's enough running like a coward. Time to teach these assholes who's boss.)

The wolverines were running towards her in a straight line, panting. When they got close the opened their slimy jaws wide and pounced.

Yasmin quickly turned around and strike one of the wolverine's chest with her sharp tongue.

The beast fell to the ground gasping for a few secs then went completely still.

Yasmin stared down at the lifeless creature. Quite proud of herself.

The other to wolverines stared in shock at their packmate.

Then in blind rage, they attacked.

Yasmin stand her ground, focusing on what to do next. When the wolverines got close tho she made her move.

She jumped onto one of the wolverine's face, trying to claw it's eyes out.

The creature screeched and dug it's claws into Yasmin's back.

She felt the pain but managed to to flinch. Instead she managed to grab a hold of its neck in her jaws.

The wolverine was jumping, running in circles, and shaking, trying to her off.

Their packmate came to the rescue though and grabbed a hold of the astronaut. It ripped her off and flung her too a near by tree.

She yelped when she made contact with the tree and fell to the ground, stunned.

The whole word was spinning and it sounded like she was underwater for a moment.

She tried to get up but every time she does her vision goes black around the rims and she instantly falls back down.

One of the wolverines ran up to her and pounced onto her, knocking the wind out off her. She was pinned down to the ground.

Panicking, she struggled under the weight its massive paws, clawing at it's arms to get free.

The wolverine opened up its jaws to give her a killing bite.

She opened her jaws wide to make a killing strike as well.

But suddenly, the wolverine flung backwards with a howl/yelp.

Taking a closer look, she can see something black cleaning to it's neck.

(What is that...?) She wondered

Her vision was still kinda blurry from the impact so she couldn't tell who it was.

One of the wolverines came to help out it's friend, but stopped when something long and sharp stuck it.

It fell to the ground, not moving.

The wolverine with a creature on it's back flipped over onto it's back.

When creature jumped off right away before it hit the ground.

Clearly hurt and bleeding, the wolverine got up and ran away, tail between it's legs.

Yasmin stared in shock. She found out who this creature is now... It was another astronaut!

This astronaut is black, with horns on it's head.

The black astronaut turned around to face her. When she saw his movements, she quickly got up onto her knees.

Clearly not dazed anymore, but her head was still pounding and her back was stinging from the cuts.

The astronaut walked up to her. When it got close it asked, "Are you alright?"

She was silent for a moment but then she nodded her aching head. By the sound of it's voice she found out that it was male.

"You sure? Your head is bleeding."

She gently touched her head and looked and her head. Yep, there was blood.

"D-don't worry, I'm fine." She reassured him, getting onto her feet.

He narrowed his eye, then shrugged. "I've been watching you. You put quite a fight." He said.

"Really?" She said a little shyly.

"Yep. And I was not expecting to see another astronaut here, besides my crewmates."

"I wasn't expecting to see another astronaut either..." She said.

"So, you live around here?" He asked her.

"Yeah... Do you?"

"Nope, the crew and I live in a space ship. We just go to different planets to get supplies."

"Oh, I guess that's why I never seen you before." She said. "So... you live with a lot of other astronauts in space?" She then asked.

"Yeah? Do you?"

"No... I'm a loner." She answered, a little sorrow in her voice.

They both stood in silence for a little moment. The black astronaut was thinking about something, studying her, while Yasmin just stood there awkwardly, wondering what to do or say next.

Then black broke the silence. "What's your name?"

"My name...? It's Yasmin. What's yours?"

"Bryson." He held out his hand. "Nice to meet you Yasmin"

She took that hand "Nice to meet you too..." She said.

(We do not have a yellow astronaut in our crew...) Bryson thought. He studied her more. (She's in perfect shape. A good fighter too...)

This was a stray, so it might be easy to convince her to come with him and join his crew. Or it might be hard considering that some astronauts prefers to live alone. But he could tell in the tone in her voice, her body language that she felt sad and lonely being a stray when she said she was alone.

"Say..." Bryson broke the silence again, causing Yasmin to jump a little. "Do you enjoy being alone?" He asked.

"Well..." She thought while answering "I kinda do, but it gets kinda lonely and hard..."

"Do you ever wish to live with a crew?" He ask her another question.

"Um... Why are you asking...?" She questioned him, knowing where this was going.

"Well, we don't have any yellow astronauts in our crew and we would like to have one." Then he patted her back and said, "Especially a strong, fiercest one."

"I..."

"So, care to join? It'll be a lot easier living with us then In a dangerous planet by yourself. Constantly worrying about eating or be eaten. And you don't have to feel so lonely too. You'll make lots of new friends who would look after you."

"I don't need to be looked after." Yasmin said a little defensively.

"What i'm trying to say is... Do you want to join or not?" Bryson placed is fingers on his forehead when he asked again.

Yasmin thought about what life would be like with other astronauts besides her dad.

Dad...

She thought about leaving the planet she had known and lived on her whole life. The home she loved and enjoyed with her father... Leaving her home behind would be like leaving her farther behind.

"I dunno..." She finally answered with her head down.

"Suit yourself." Bryson shrugged. "We'll be here for a few more days. Let me know if change your mind."

He turned and started to walk off, but stopped in a few steps and turned his head. "I'll be hunting here at this spot ever noon. You'll know where to find me." Then he went into the bushes and then the black astronaut was gone.

It's been 2 days now and it was night time. Yasmin was lying on her stomach in her bed. It was another restless night. Her thoughts kept racing in her mind that was keeping her awake.

She kept thinking about her dad and... What was that black astronaut's name again?

She sighed and turned onto her back. What would dad think if she left? Would dad would follow her? Be with her no matter what? She knew he was dead but wondered if ghost were real. She hopes so, she would like to see him again...

But living with others would be nice... what would they think of her? Would they be kind or try to make her life miserable at every possible way?

Then she thought how nice that black astronaut was...

Hmmmm...

She then finally made a decision.

Bryson was out on his usual hunting routine. He had gathered lots of meat, thanks to that wolverine. Now he's on the look out for editable plants.

He suddenly heard rustling in the bushes.

(Meh, maybe one more couldn't hurt.) He thought.

He got onto his knees and crawled sneakily towards the bushes. What he saw made him taken aback. He did not expect to see... Her again.

"Um... Hi." The yellow astronaut squeaked.

"Well look who it is... Have you finally made up your mind yet?" He asked very casually.

"Yes..." She began. "I'll... come with you your home and meet the others, if I'm not comfortable with them... Is it ok to turn back?"

Bryson shrugged, "I don't see a problem with that. But you'll like them, trust me. If the screw you around I'll rip them apart."

Yasmin blinked her widen eye.

"You know what I mean, it's not like they'll do you any harm anyways."

Yasmin just stood there in silence in a world of her thoughts. Those thoughts got interrupted when Bryson asked, "You coming or what?"

She breathed in and then out. "Yes."

"You're gonna love it, trust me." Bryson said as he and her made there way through the bushes. When they went into the open Yasmin gasped in shock.

What stood before them was a giant ship. WAY bigger then her and her father's ship. She has been expecting to see a hunormous ship, but she was still shocked at the looks of it.

She stared at it in awe until Bryson started moving forward and said, "You coming?"

Yasmin nodded and followed him.

When the door opened Yasmin saw astronauts of different colours. She noticed that this room they entered was like a... dinning room? It has at least 5 blue round tables.

At the far back of the tables to the left sat 2 astronauts. One purple and one lime.

Wait- there was another one with them too. It was purple like the other purple one except it was a lot smaller and didn't have like a leaf on it's head like the other one did.

In the middle table was a orange astronaut who was face down. They had a egg on their head which was sliding off onto the table.

At the front of the table to the left were another 2 astronauts. One pink and the other one white.

She wondered where that pink one got that crown on their head. Is he the captain or something?

They were the first to notice Bryson and Yasmin as they were staring at them. They were mostly staring at her with confusion.

"Who's the new girl?" Pink asked.

Yasmin looked down shyly while Bryson just said, "Save it Princeton, you already have a girlfriend." As he walked on head.

Pink, who was now known as Princeton narrowed his eye down at the table.

Yasmin quickly started to follow Bryson. Yasmin felt eyes on her from the astronauts as exited from the dining room. Except that orange one who was apparently sleeping.

They walked passed a room filled with weapons and a red chair with some kind of... staring sticks?

"What's that?" Yasmin asked out of curiosity.

"That? That is a machine we use to destroy anything out of the ship's path." Bryson answered. "Mostly asteroids."

"Cool."

They turned right and approached another room.

In this room there were large windows that took up the entire front of the wall. In front was a steering wheel, and a desk like things with a whole bunch of buttons on it. There was also a chair in front of all that and what sat in that chair was another astronaut.

This one was red with a captain hat.

"Who's that?" Yasmin asked.

"The captain." Bryson answered.

Bryson walked in and ordered her to stay there. Yasmin did as she was told and lean to rest against the wall.

Bryson walked in towards the captain and coughed to get his attention. The captain noticed his presence and turned to him.

"Excuse me Captain," Bryson began "I've found something wondering around this planet, a stray perhaps."

The captain's left side of his eyeball raised up in questioning.

"Don't worry, she doesn't seem like a treat to us. She decide to come for a visit and wondering if she could live

Then barking could be heard out in the hallway which startled Captain's thoughts. Bryson peeked out and saw a small blur creature, who got it's front paws up onto Yasmin making all that racket.

Yasmin looked fearful for a few seconds until she realized that the creature wasn't harmful. In fact she now realized that it was a dog! So she took out one of her hands and stroke the creature's head. The dog yipped and wagged it's tail in delight.

"What do you know? Your pet made a new friend." Bryson said to Captain.

"Bring her here, I would like to have a chat with her." The captain ordered.

Bryson peeked out of the hallway again and called. "Yasmin? Our captain wants you."

"Ok." Yasmin said as she nervously walked into the room.

"Hello." Captain greeted her.

"Um... Hi." She said, to shy to look him in the eye.

"So you live around here on this planet? On your own?" He asked.

"Yeah." She simply replied.

"What's your name kid?"

"Y-Yasmin..."

"Nice to meet you Yasmin." He smiled with his eye. "As you can already tell, I'm the captain of this ship. My names' Roger, but please, just call me Captain."

"Ok, Captain." Yasmin cautiously said.

"Bryson told me here that he found you alone in the forest and said that you wanted to live here. Am I right?"

She nodded.

"Well in that case, welcome to my ship." He said cheerfully, his head held up high and his chest sticking up. "You'll have a warm welcome here."

"Bryson here will give you a tour around the ship." He continued "Later we'll figure out a room for you to sleep in. Just note that you'll have to share a room with someone."

(Oh great.) She thought bitterly.

She hasn't been around with others before besides her dad. This was is gonna be a lot to get used to for her.

"Now Bryson, do you mind giving her a good tour now?" Asked the Captain.

"Nope." Said Bryson.

He head out and said, "You coming, Yasmin?"

"Yeah!" Yasmin said and quickly went after him.

What the heck?!"

Both immediately stopped on their tracks when they heard a voice. It was a familiar voice to Bryson, but not to Yasmin.

Yasmin turned and came face to face with another astronaut.

This one was Brown with a police uniform. Is this one second in command? By the looks of HER, standing up straight with a stern look on her face, probably is.

"Um... Hi?" Yasmin said nervously, not sure what to do or say.

"Bryson, who is this?" Brown demanded

"This fella?" Bryson said, patting Yasmin's head. "Her name Yasmin. I found her and brought her here."

Brown narrowed her eyes and said, "Where did she come from?"

"This planet." Bryson said very calmly. "Don't worry, the captain approved her ability to live here."

"Hmmm..." Brown studied her, looking up and down with her narrowed eyes, then she finally said, "Alright... But I'm watching you!" She put a finger to Yasmin's chest. "If you break any rules ya gonna regret it, especially the most sinister ones..."

"A-alright..." Yasmin started to heat up with fear, sweat running down her head.

Brown stood up straight again and said to Bryson, "The captain wants you and Princeton to go out at sunset again to find some more food and other valuable things."

"Don't we have enough food though?" Bryson narrowed his eyes in questioning.

"Captain wants to gather as much food as possible to last us a long time."

Bryson shrugged, "Alright then."

With another glance at Yasmin, Brown headed off.

"Now if you are wondering, that was Brooklyn, our second commander." Bryson said, gesturing the direction the Brown astronaut disappeared.

"Yeah, I can already tell she's a boss." Yasmin swallowed nervously. (Kinda scary...)

"Now... may I show you around?" Bryson said.

"Sure." She said.

Bryson lead Yasmin to all the rooms in the ship. First they went to Shields, then the storage, admin, the electrical which kinda interested Yasmin, the 2 engines, and the reactor. The reactor was the most interesting thing Yasmin has saw! (Besides outdoor things.)

Bryson was telling her all about these rooms, Yasmin was listening to him with full interested focus.

She has met the others too.

Lime was name Lily, she didn't really take Yasmin to kindly... Probably because she was a stranger and don't trust her.

Pink's name is Princeton, he is the charming one around here. Always standing up tall like he's so proud of himself and speaking in a accent Yasmin never heard before.

Whitney, the white astronaut was a shy one, quite as shy as Yasmin has.

Orin was the lazy, slightly annoying orange astronaut. If he's not sleeping he's making the lamest puns.

Purple was Polly and Blue was Bristol. They were the mother and farther of 3 kids. The blue twins, Brittney and Bruno and Peppy, the tiny purple one.

Brittney and Pepper are both very energetic, bouncing up and down on Yasmin, quite excited to meet a new crewmate.

Bruno on the other hand quietly stayed back looking unamused.

Green, who's name is Gary, is a doctor and a cooker. He makes the best meals ever! Yasmin heard that he's the best doc too.

You guys already know who's Roger, the captain and Brooklyn is. Apparently Yasmin found out the they are mates! Interesting... No wonder why Captain keeps Brooklyn in the second commander position. She's not the smartest...

And then there's Coby... The cyan one. He was so kind and sweat. A little TOO sweet... Most of the time he gets on Yasmin's nerves. He never seem to leave her alone and considers her his "best friend". Why though? She just met him! Why does he have such an interest in her? She gotta admit though.. He is kinda cute...

Bryson was Yasmin's closest friend. They are always handing out together. She wished she shared a bedroom with him, but instead she is sharing with that lazy astronaut! She finally gets used to it though.

The more she has gotten used to living here, the better and happier she gotten. Life became really great and Yasmin was finally happy again.

But for how long will the happiness last...?
