WBW: Jaehaerys the Guardian of the Faith of the 14 Flames Book 1 Chapter 1: Meeting a cousin, a Harry Potter + A song of Ice and Fire Crossover fanfic

Welcome to the latest section of Harry's massive adventure in the Crossover event that The World-Between-Worlds is.

Warning for any ASOIF purists, This story has a lot of changes, both to lore, and events, and how characters are. This is because Harry or as he will be known in all the events of this section Jaehaerys.

I created as few new characters as I could, in order to accomplish my goals, but if you have any concerns, let me know, I can point those OCs out.

Major Notice to new Readers; Hadrian(Jaehaerys) will not be using much magic in the first visit to the world of Ice and Fire, due to him being a first year at Hogwarts when these events take place. This means that he won't use much magic since he does not know much. He will not use parseltongue due to not recognizing it as a power, and similar things of that nature.

The first 9 chapters have Hadrian present as Jaehaerys, before he vanishes.

Chapters 10-17 will be the events in the world of Ice and Fire between his departure and his rebirth, during the Reign of Viserys I,

Chapters 18-? will cover the Dance of Dragons, and in Harry Potter time take place at the end of 4th year, so more magic will be present.

There will then be another period where Hadrian is not present to cover from sometime after the Dance-Roberts Rebellion

Hadrian will be reborn once more before the Grayjoy Rebellion, and will participate in that and a few other events pre Game of Thrones after falling through the Veil in 5th year.

Hadrian will return(not be reborn, but awake from a coma) more during the Inferi scene in 6th year, and some Game of Thrones Events probably through the Red wedding will take place before he vanishes once more.

Hadrian will return once more, after being hit by the killing curse, and will likely cover through season 7 of the show, but that is a long way off.

Wood-Between-Worlds

"Wow, that tree feels so weird, but now I'm kind dizzy," Hadrian said as he removed his hand from the tree that Hedwig had directed him to, slightly swaying.

"Here, let me help steady you," Hedwig said landing on Hadrian's shoulder and directing him, or at least trying to direct him, only for him to crash into a tree with a three headed dragon carved into it, before they both vanished from the wood.

Dragonstone, 3 BC

"Now that father has died, I think we should fulfil his final wish," A tall very muscular man with short golden blonde hair and purple eyes said to three that were also gathered around the bed where a man with long golden blonde hair lay still.

"I agree brother, but before we depart, we would need an army," A man with black hair and nearly black eyes said firmly.

"What would you know Orys, you are just afraid to attack the lands in the west due to not having a dragon, Aegon, Rhaenys and myself could burn the entire continent to the ground," A woman with long braided blonde hair and equally piercing violet eyes said before a young man came rushing into the room.

"Forgive me, my Lords and Ladies, but a man with a dragon and a small company of men has just arrived and is seeking an audience with the Lord of Dragonstone," The young man said quickly.

"A dragon rider, interesting, invite him into the main hall, but ask that he leave his dragon outside with his company, and we shall meet him there," The first man who had spoken said intrigued at the idea of another Dragon rider.

"Are you sure this is wise, Aegon, what if the man plans to kill you and take over Dragonstone?" the dark-haired man asked critically.

"Then he will have to go through, myself, my sisters, and our dragons, Orys, I am not too concerned, come with us if you are so concerned," Aegon said before making his way to the main hall.

"Greeting's cousin, may I ask where Lord Aerion Targaryen is?" A man with short black hair and emerald eyes asked as they entered the main hall where he alone stood.

"Cousin? I am sorry but I do not know who you are, as for Aerion he has just passed, I am Aegon and beside me are my sister wives Rhaenys and Visenya," Aegon said as he took a seat at the throne in the hall.

"I am Jaehaerys Targaryen son of Maegon Targaryen the sole son of Baelon Targaryen, your grandfather's older brother, and Elaena Targaryen sole child of Aelyx Targaryen the oldest brother of your grandfather," the man said firmly.

"If you are the son of the older heir of Targaryen then why are you not lord of Dragonstone, instead of Aegon?" Orys asked from the doorway where he stood.

"I do not know who you are, but your question is valid. My mother could not inherit Dragonstone due to being a woman, and my father was born crippled and mostly blind. For this cause he was sent to the minor fortress of Dragon Fang and rule of the Dragon's Teeth. My mother who had helped care for him for years chose to continue to care for him, especially since she had bad blood with her aunt, Aegon's grandmother in part due to her being of the Valyrian house of Blackfyre, while my grandmothers were from the Valyrian houses of Grynfyre, and house Belaerys, and like her were the last of their houses," Jaehaerys said simply.

"Very well, Lord Jaehaerys, it is clear you know your family history, and you have a dragon which gives some credit to your claim; however you have not said why you are here?" Aegon said simply.

"Of course, Lord Targaryen, and let me assure you that it is not to usurp you from your place as Lord Targaryen," Jaehaerys said quickly.

"Very well, what then is your purpose in landing on Dragonstone, with a company of men?" Visenya asked curiously.

"We received news a few months back that Lord Targaryen had a Dragon Dream of house Targaryen conquering the Kingdoms of the West. I wish to join you in your conquest," Jaehaerys said simply.

"Why?" Aegon asked flatly, remembering that his father had sent out ravens to all Valyrians he thought might remain.

"To be short, the Dragon's Teeth are slowly collapsing into the sea and we do not have the food required to continue to sustain our people for much longer. My people are willing to work beside you and your own forces for the sole reward of continuing to survive," Jaehaerys said flatly.

"That explains why your people would wish to join in our forces, but why do you want to personally, if it is with hopes to bed one of my sisters, it is unlikely," Aegon said almost growling the last part.

"No, while I do hope to one day wed, I wish to bring glory back to old Valyria, and remind the world why the Valyrians once were the most feared empire in history, and I also know my Dragon Brynnais desires to see war, and my blade, Excalibur, wishes to taste blood once more," Jaehaerys said simply.

"Interesting, sisters what are your thoughts, I think an extra Dragon would only be a boon for us," Aegon said simply.

"The names that he mentioned and how he described them are accurate, I think he would be a valuable asset to our forces," The sole woman not to speak yet said kindly.

"I agree with Rhaenys on this one, but at the end of the day it is your decision brother," Visenya said simply.

"Very well, Lord Targaryen, welcome to the forces of the conqueror. One question though, why do you not have the traditional Valyrian appearance?" Aegon asked curiosity overtaking him.

"You think only of the Western Valyrians, they all had the Blonde hair, Violet eyes and tended to be warriors, the Eastern Valyrians had Black hair, Blue eyes, and tended to be mages, and when the two factions would cross, it normally would lead to green eyes and one or the other hair color. I just happened to have emerald eyes by some fluke," Jaehaerys said respectfully.

"Very interesting, now I understand that you have your small company, and dragon, do you know of any other forces that may be willing to help us conquer the west?" Visenya asked mentally making a note to find out where he learned that information.

"Perhaps your mother's family, and possibly House Celtigar of Claw Isle, but outside of those two houses, and our own the rest of the Valyrian Houses are gone. A question for you three, are you all dragon riders?" Jaehaerys asked kindly.

"Yes, I ride Balerion the Black, Visenya rides Vhagar, and Rhaenys rides Meraxes," Aegon said confused by the question.

"After our Chief god and his two wives, very appropriate. Would I be safe to presume you all have Valyrian steel blades," Jaehaerys asked simply?

"I wield Blackfyre, as my sword, Visenya wields Dark Sister, but Rhaenys does not have a Valyrian Steel blade, sadly, I would like her to have one," Aegon said sadly.

"I see, so you hold the family sword of your grandmother's family in Blackfyre, and our family's ancestral blade Dark Sister, formed when the Targaryen family was formed by the sister of the King of Valyria deciding not to marry him and move many of her assets to Dragonstone, and then stage a coup to overthrow her brother, naming her the Dark Sister, very nice," Jaehaerys said nodding.

"You truly know a lot of the Valyrian lore and history don't you, how do we know you are not just making up all of this mumbo jumbo?" Orys said coldly.

"What reason do I have to lie, guard? In addition, what right do you have to speak when two leaders are talking?" Jaehaerys asked slowly.

"Jaehaerys, the guard is my brother the son of Aerion and one of the common folk from our island, when mother was ill while pregnant with Rhaenys, he has my permission to speak his mind. But Orys, I would ask that you do mind your tongue," Aegon said chastising his half-brother.

"Of course, Lord Targaryen, if I may return to my dragon, I have a gift for Rhaenys or Visenya if she would prefer, I have the blade of House Belaerys Explorers Courage which is a longsword, like Dark Sister," Jaehaerys said kindly.

"That would be incredible, do you have any other Valyrian blades?" Visenya asked curiously.

"No sadly, and that is one art that my grandmother's family did not keep record of how to craft them either," Jaehaerys said slightly glumly.

"That is too bad, Visenya, in my opinion I think you should continue to wield Dark Sister, as you are the eldest, and Rhaenys if you are comfortable, you could use Explorer's Courage," Aegon said looking to his two sisters.

"I have no problems with that," Visenya said kindly.

"Nor do I," Rhaenys said simply.

"Then allow me to go and get that Explorer's Courage, and then perhaps we can begin strategizing how we will take Westeros," Jaehaerys said simply.

"We shall do that next week, for this week we need to prepare for our father's funeral, and burning after the pattern of our ancestors," Aegon said simply.

"Of course, I had not realized he had not yet had his funeral services handled," Jaehaerys said slightly shocked.

"Lord Aerion only died this morning, so you could not have known, you may join with us if you will, or you may return to the Dragon's Teeth, if you wish and we will come together again in a month," Aegon said respectfully.

"With all respect Lord Targaryen, I would remain here with my company, but send word to my steward to gather our remaining men and our small fleet, of about 200 ships," Jaehaerys said before quickly leaving and returning with a sword with a compass on the pommel and kneeling handed it to Rhaenys.

As of the time where I am posting this, this section is the one with the most chapters, mostly because Martin is insane, and has way too much detail, which I love.
