Hey all! Aren't you all lucky getting a double upload from me in a day. I had this finished last week but saved it for today. We all like having new stories to read to start our week, right?
This is a random song-fic I thought of about 6 weeks ago. I've said this before, but sometimes you hear a song and you think "that's made for a TiPo song-fic"... so here we are. When I first thought of writing a story to include this dong in, I honestly had no idea what to write. I spent maybe the first week just changing the lyrics. I literally made up the story as I wrote it. While I was only intended on having it as a 2000, maybe 2500 words story, I was not expecting it to be close to 5000 words, but sometimes that happens.
Some details about the song:
The song used is "She's Everything" by Brad Paisley. Anyone here know of Brad Paisley? Or listens to his music?
If you would like to listen to the song, here's the YouTube link ( watch?v=JCjXaEbrLdw).
I have changed several lines of the original song, to make it a bit more related. You can still listen to the song to get the feel of the song, and listen to the original lyrics. Hopefully the lyrics I changed do work. I think it does, I listened to the song hundreds of times while going over the lyrics.

Alright... let's get into the story.
Please Read, Review, and Enjoy!
She's Everything
It was a warm summer's day in the Valley of Peace. The villagers were out and about, enjoying the warmth of the sun that blazed down on them. The valley was as pristine as it had always looked, with mountain peaks soaring high against the crystal blue skies; anyone who stepped foot into the valley would find it very difficult to leave. While the villagers enjoyed their strolls around the village, up at the Jade Palace, the Furious Five were currently in the training hall, going through their daily training drills.
Currently, the six warriors were sparring. It has almost become second nature as to everyone spars against. Crane and Viper would spar while Mantis and Monkey buddied up and would usually mess around, annoying everyone instead of training. However, none of these masters were sparring at the time. Their focus was on the spectacle unfolding between Po and Tigress. They were fascinated by how intimate their sparring was being. The two masters were getting quite close and personal, yet neither seemed uncomfortable by the intimacy of their sparring.
It had been a few months since the events of Kai, and for some time now, everyone was growing more optimistic that the two masters would finally come together, as had long been destined. Instead, they carried on with their friendship but acted more like a married couple, being far more intimate than your typical friendship. However, despite the close physical intimacy that the two masters seemed to share, it had never boiled over, not yet anyway. Unknown to Tigress, Po had planned to confess for some time, as he knew there was more to their relationship. He was just waiting for the right moment to arise.
Today, Po planned to make the move, finally. Viper and Crane knew about Po's plan. They had helped him with the idea. Po had hoped to have a morning sparring session with Tigress to get her exhilarated, as she usually gets during training, before taking her to the Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom and playing the song he wrote for her. Po wanted to do it at the Peach Tree because it holds countless memorable moments for the two masters over their years at the Jade Palace. It was the place they heavily relied upon to seek peace and comfort. It was where their friendship began, the place that seemed to strengthen their friendship unintentionally, and now Po was hoping that it would also be the place that signified the birth of their courtship… if everything went as planned, but sometimes life loves to throw a curveball to mess everything up, or so it seems.
Back to the sparring, things started to heat up between Po and Tigress. While neither was trying to cause harm, they were not holding back either. One wrong move, and they would pay for it. The other masters were noticing how personal space between the two practically became non-existent. Something not unusual between the two, but this time there was a lot more holding and arms pinning than there would usually be in their typical sparring. The other masters were certain that if things were to continue on the current path, they wouldn't want to be in the training hall if things boiled over. Not because it would turn into a full-scale fight, they could contain that, but because… well, it may turn into something they'd prefer not to witness.
The two masters continued to spar in what seemed like more of a dance routine, and just when it looked like things couldn't get any more heated, Po lost his footing. While falling backwards, Po unintentionally grabbed onto Tigress' paw, pulling her down on top of him. Po, not being able to brace himself, landed heavily on his back. The fall's impact caused their muzzles to collide together. Without thinking, Tigress instinctively jumped out of the position and swiped at Po.
It was just instinct, as she was not expecting their muzzles to collide, and she knew immediately what she had done. Unfortunately, Tigress had connected with Po's muzzle, leaving two distinctive claw marks across the top of his snout. Po winced at the pain and clutched at his snout, while Tigress jumped off Po and backed away, looking in horror at her sheathed claws. She felt deep regret, having hurt her best friend.
"Po… I'm sorry," Tigress apologetically stuttered, with a slight quiver in her voice. She couldn't believe what she had just done. She had hurt Po; she had betrayed Po. Betrayed the special bond they shared. Tigress became infuriated at herself. Po looked up, seeing the distress and anger in Tigress' eyes.
"Tigress, it's okay. It was an accident," Po tried to reassure Tigress.
Unfortunately, when Tigress looked up at Po, her eyes fell upon the two claw marks on Po's nose. It caused flashbacks to her time at the orphanage when she had accidentally hurt a friend, leaving them with a broken arm. Everyone started calling her a 'monster', and now, she's hurt another friend, not just any friend, but Po. Her best friend, her companion… and as much as she hates to admit it, her soulmate. That last thought caused a spike of anger to flood through her blood. She had hurt the one she vowed to protect. She had to get away.
"I'm a monster," Tigress mumbled in disbelief, backing away. Po tried to reach out to Tigress, but he was too slow. She had fled the training hall.
"TIGRESS! WAIT!" Po yelled in desperation, but it fell on deaf ears. He knew, as did the other masters, that what just happened was a mere accident. You could argue that it wasn't an accident but rather a fate of events that would lead to something far more significant. Before anyone could react, Tigress had vanished from their sights.
"Are you okay, Po?" Crane asked, walking over to Po.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just… what can I do?" Po asked depressingly. Crane and Viper looked at each other, knowing what Po was referring to.
"Do what you do best, Po," Viper said; Po looked at Viper.
"What's that?" Po asked.
"Whenever Tigress is feeling down, you're always the one to bring her up. When she's sad, you make her smile again. Po, right now, Tigress thinks she's betrayed you. She'll be upset thinking she's ruined your friendship because of what she did. And I know for a fact that she means a lot to you, doesn't she?" Viper asked; Po briefly smiled.
"She's everything to me. I'm nothing without her," Po sighed, looking down sadly.
"Then go show her how much she means to you," Viper asserted. Po looked up at Viper and Crane.
"How do I… you know… what I had planned after what just happened?" Po asked; Viper smiled.
"She needs you right now, Po. Maybe after you comfort her, tell her that I need to see her, and ask her to come back after dusk," Viper suggested.
"Yeah, okay, I'll try that, but if I don't return, just assume that she's either thrown me off the cliff or… we're busy up there," Po mumbled, blushing at the last part. Viper shook her head while Crane looked clueless.
"I don't get it. Busy doing what?" Crane asked. Po and Viper looked at Crane.
"What?... Ooooh, right. Okay… that's a little disturbing. I'm just going to… go," Crane stuttered awkwardly, backing out of the training hall.
"I think you should go, Po. Don't waste this opportunity," Viper said. Po got up and walked out of the training hall with Viper.
"I won't, but when you do see Tigress back here, could you just preoccupy her until dusk?" Po asked shyly. Viper smiled and nodded, knowing why Po was asking.
"Of course, Po. Now go!" Viper instructed, gesturing towards the peach tree.
Tigress was crouched on the ground, against the Peach Tree, with her head lowered. She couldn't understand why she had struck out at Po like that. It was just so unexpected that Tigress instinctively reacted that way when in reality, she had been longing for the day that chance came about. And now, it happened by accident, and she went and hurt her best friend. She had gone and ruined their friendship. Destroyed the close, intimate bond they had created over the years. All undone by some stupid action of hers. She truly felt like a monster, at least; that's how Tigress felt.
Po had never meant for that to happen, but why did their muzzles have to collide together? Had she fallen into his shoulder or chest, it would be a completely different story. The reality is, that's not the case. They had kissed, unintentionally. It stunned the tiger so much that she struck out instinctively. Had Tigress not been so angry at herself, she may have realised that Po would never have thought for a second that she was a monster, but for Tigress, to see her best friend in pain because of her, it hurt.
Fortunately for Tigress, she dealt with the one person who has never given up on her over all these years. From the moment they met, he had never questioned her actions. Since he's had the chance to get to know Tigress so intimately, Po has never looked back. Just when Tigress thought she had ruined something so great between her and Po, little did she realise it had created the opportunity for something she couldn't have possibly imagined.
"Tigress?" someone called out, snapping the tiger out of her thoughts. When she looked up, she saw Po standing there with a smile on his face. That quickly faded away when Po saw the fur on Tigress' face was damp. He could see she was visibly upset.
"What do you want, Po?" Tigress croakily asked, looking away. Po slowly walked over to Tigress and sat down next to her. Tigress couldn't look at Po because she knew the moment she'd see the marks on his nose, she'd feel angry.
"I'm not angry about what happened, Tigress," Po reassured.
"How can you forgive me so easily, Po? I hurt you!" Tigress growled.
"Because I know you didn't do it on purpose. Besides, it doesn't change how I feel for you," Po admitted, immediately clasping his mouth after nearly letting slip of his feelings for the tiger that sat next to him. Tigress looked at Po with an astonished expression.
"W-what do you mean?" Tigress queried, knowing that Po had let slip but wanted to clarify, for she also held feelings for the panda that sat beside her. The anger that Tigress had, was now completely gone as Po became increasingly nervous.
"I… um, I wanna tell you something, but not now," Po stuttered. Tigress felt a sense of disappointment wash over her.
"Po-" Tigress said before Po put his paw up, stopping her.
"Can you meet me back here just after dusk?" Po asked tentatively. Tigress looked at Po, confused.
"Why?" Tigress questioned.
"I… I've sorta got a surprise… for you," Po blushed. Tigress couldn't help but smile at Po's nervousness and softly agreed to return right after dusk. Her instincts were telling her that whatever Po had planned was obviously something he had planned for a while, and she couldn't let him down again.
"If you insist," Tigress said, Po smiled.
"Thank you! Don't be angry about what happened, okay?" Po consoled Tigress as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. At first, Tigress tensed up but controlled herself and soon relaxed into Po's shoulder. The warm sun beating down on them, mixed in with a gentle cool breeze, made Tigress feel very drowsy. Before she could protest, her own body snuggled closer into Po's soft fur, and she closed her eyes.
The two sat there, snuggling against one another when Po remembered what he had to do before dusk. He didn't want to break this moment, but he needed enough time to be able to pull off what he had in mind. Po sat there calculating how much time he could give up to remain like this, as he didn't want to let go of Tigress in fear she wouldn't come back, but he quickly dashed those thoughts away. He knew she wouldn't disappoint him, and after much consideration, he knew that with the help of Crane, the two would be able to transform the Sacred Peach Tree into the platform that Po had envisioned.
"Tigress?" Po whispered. Tigress stirred from her slumber.
"Hmm?"
"I think Viper wanted to see you," Po softly spoke. Tigress lifted her head off Po's shoulder and looked at Po.
"Are you trying to get rid of me?" Tigress asked with a subtle smirk; Po chuckled.
"Yes, but all for a good reason," Po reassured. Tigress smiled as she looked down, trying to hide the gentle blush forming on her face.
"You better not leave me disappointed," Tigress warned as she got up from the ground. Po laughed as he stood up, watching Tigress walk away from the Peach Tree. Po was happy to see she had a jump in her stride again. Once Tigress was out of sight, Po quickly raced down and looked for Crane. It didn't take long for Po to find Crane. He was in his room doing his usual calligraphy. Crane looked up, hearing the disturbance outside his room, and saw a panting Po scrambling into his room.
"Hey, Po! What's going on? Are you being chased by Tigress?" Crane asked. Po shook his head and regained his breath.
"No… I just need your help," Po stated.
"With what, Po? I assume you and Tigress are okay now?" Crane questioned.
"Yeah, we're good. Um… you remember what I had planned?" Po asked hesitantly. Crane's eyes widened in realisation.
"Oh… what do you need me to do?" Crane asked.
"Could you get the musicians from the Musicians' Village and bring them to the Peach Tree?" Po asked. Crane saluted Po with his wing.
"On it, Po. I'll meet you up there," Crane replied before taking off towards the Musicians' Village.
After Crane had left, Po gathered one bag of lanterns he had kept in his room and took them up to the Peach Tree. Po placed the lanterns around the ledges surrounding the peach tree to act as a barrier. Po then placed lanterns on every second step leading up to the Peach Tree. It was a lot of hard work, having to walk up and down the steps, but Po knew the result would be well worth it.
Once Po had finished lining the steps with the lanterns, he went back to his room to gather the other bag of lanterns. Po had collected well over three hundred lanterns, be used for this night which Po had longed planned. Po wanted to line the Peach Tree with these lanterns. He knew it would add a romantic vibe to the settings, but it felt right to do so for what he had in mind.
Po dragged the bag of lanterns, and himself, up the steps to the Peach Tree. When Po reached the top, he fell on his back, panting heavily. Po had barely gotten up to the top when he heard the flapping of wings in the distance. He knew that was Crane coming down with the villagers who had agreed to help Po on this night. Po slowly got up off the ground and looked around to see Crane flying in low before landing on the ledge with the three villagers and their instruments.
"Hey, Po? Are you all set?" Crane asked as he walked over.
"Almost. I've just got these lanterns to put up around the tree," Po said.
"Why don't you let me do that, so you don't have to climb the tree. You can run through the song with the musicians," Crane suggested. Po smiled.
"Alright, that sounds like a plan. Thanks, Crane," Po said. Crane bowed before grabbing the bag of lanterns and placing them under the tree. As Crane started decorating the tree with lanterns, Po walked over to the musicians who set up their instruments on the platform that Po had designated.
"You guys are incredibly awesome for doing this. I cannot thank you enough. In fact, I'll treat you to a free meal," Po insisted, bowing to the musicians. The musicians, a pig, and two rabbits bowed back in respect.
"It is our privilege to take part in such a majestical event for the Dragon Warrior. We are truly honoured you have come to us for our musical requirements," the pig stated (with his French accent). Po smiled widely.
"You guys truly are awesome! You're welcome to start running through the song once you're set up. We need this night to be perfect," Po said anxiously. The musicians smiled, hearing the slight nervousness in Po's voice.
"Fear not, Dragon Warrior. We will make this the perfect night for you and the one you love," the pig reiterated graciously. Po blushed hearing them refer to Tigress as the one he loved.
"Po, all the lanterns have been used. I think the place is set," Crane announced. Po turned around and looked at the magnificent decorations that Crane had done. He indeed had an artistic touch.
"That looks amazing, Crane. Thank you!" Po admired. Crane smiled.
"No worries, buddy! I think you better get prepared. There's not long left until dusk," Crane urged. Po looked out over the valley, and indeed, the sun was just beginning to touch the distant mountains. The time has come.
"Alright, you know the deal. Let me know when you see Tigress coming," Po stated. Crane nodded.
"Good luck, buddy!" Crane wished before flying off to a nearby peak that Po could see. Crane would wave his wings at Po before leaving the spot when he saw Tigress approaching the stairs. That was Po's cue to beginning the intro of the song.
"Okay, guys. When I say, begin the intro of the song and have it playing over and over until I'm set. I want Tigress to hear the music as she's walking up here," Po instructed. The musicians smiled as they finalised the setup and got into their places.
"We wait for your word, Dragon Warrior," the pig acknowledged. Po smiled before he looked out at Crane, who was nested on a distant peak. Po waved out to Crane, who waved back. That confirmed they could see each other. Po then looked out at the setting sun. He took a few deep breaths. Any moment now, the time would begin.
Po took a few moments to look at the setup he had created, thanks to Crane's help. It looked picturesque with the lanterns lining the stairs, along the cliff ledges and within the Peach Tree. Po feared it was too much and hoped that Tigress wouldn't be overwhelmed by all the work that Po had done for her. He hoped that this alone would show her how far he would go to make her happy. When Po was in deep thoughts, he felt a breeze blow across him. He instantly looked up and saw Crane flapping his wings. Po raised his arm, indicating that he had seen Crane, who then left the mountain peak on which he was perched. This is it! Tigress was coming.
"Alright guys, it's time to start playing," Po told the musicians. They began playing the song's leading chords, repeating the chords over until Po was ready to participate in the song.
As Tigress made her way to meet Po at the Peach Tree, as he had asked her to do earlier, she was amazed by the setup. Every second step had two lanterns on either side. As Tigress was climbing up the steps, her ears picked up the sound of a gentle melody being played. It was almost hypnotising; in that, it drew her closer to the source of the music.
When Tigress walked up the last few steps, what she saw was utterly breath-taking. She couldn't believe Po had gone to such trouble just for her. It was fair to say she was breathless. This was far more than what she had expected. Po had lanterns dimly lit and scattered throughout the Peach Tree, illuminating the tree glamorously. More lanterns were lined along the edges of the cliff, acting as a barrier. Underneath the Peach Tree, a few villagers from the Musicians' Village stood with their instruments, illuminated by more lanterns.
As Tigress was looking around, taking in the spectacular display, Po approached Tigress with his paw extended out. Tigress happily reached out and grabbed Po's paw. As Po took Tigress towards the Peach Tree, hundreds of fireflies landed in the Peach Tree. They began oscillating their bioluminescent lights, creating a highly breath-taking scene that Tigress couldn't keep her eyes off. The display even caught Po's attention, for he too stopped for a moment to take in the scenery. Po sat Tigress down and walked over to take his spot next to the musicians.
"I don't think this really needs an introduction, but if I must say anything, every word, and every syllable that I say, comes from the heart," Po emphasised, placing a paw over his heart. Tigress couldn't help by smile. Po then started performing his song for her.
[Po]
She's a blazing pair of stunning eyes
With her cute little muzzle
She looks great in her golden hanfu
She looks great in anything
She's: "I wanna spar with you, panda"
"Take me dancing somewhere"
She's: "I wanna fight some bandits"
Now and then, she's moody
She's a stroll across the valley
With her orange hair a-blowing
She's a soft place to land
And a good feeling knowing
She's a warm conversation
That I wouldn't miss for nothing
She's a fighter when she's mad
And she's a lover when she's loving
And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
I talk about her
I go on and on, and on
'Cause she's everything to me
She's as hardcore as anything
And as gentle as a soft breeze blowing
She's the light to my heart
And the fire to my soul
She's a bubble bath and candles
Baby, come and kiss me
She's got the heart of an angel
And she's feisty like a tiger
She's the giver I wish I could be
And the stealer of the covers
She's a picture in my pocket
Of my unborn children's mother
She's the paw that I'm holding
When I'm on my knees and praying
She's the answer to my prayers
And she's the song that I'm playing
And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
I talk about her
I go on and on, and on
'Cause she's everything to me
~~{Music}~~
Po walked over to Tigress and pulled her up from the spot she was sitting. Under the Peach Tree, he brought her to the centre, where they started to waltz around in a circle slowly. Tigress rested her head against Po's shoulder as Po continued to sing.
She's the voice I'd love to hear
Someday when I'm ninety
She's that wooden rocking chair
I want rocking right beside me
Every day that passes
I only love her more (Po looks into Tigress' eyes)
Yeah, she's the one that I'd lay down my own life for
Tigress smiled and laid her head back down into Po's shoulder as they continued to dance around in a circle slowly while Po sang the last part of the song.
And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
She's everything to me
Yeah, she's everything to me
Everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
Yeah, she's everything to me
Po and Tigress slowly danced around in a circle, holding each other close as the musicians gradually ended the song. Seeing the panda and tiger as they were, the musicians resumed playing the last chords of the song over and over to accompany the two that were dancing around one another tenderly. Eventually, the musicians quietly finished the song and stood there silently, letting Po and Tigress have this moment to themselves.
Po looked down at Tigress, who had her head buried into his shoulder with her eyes closed. Po knew that they both had an underlying love for each other, both felt the same, but it just required him to express it to her, to show her how much she really means to him. Now that she's seen and experienced his love for her, she didn't feel vulnerable by reciprocating the feelings back to Po.
"I hope I didn't disappoint you," Po whispered. Tigress chuckled as she looked up at Po.
"Luckily for you, I'm far from being disappointed," Tigress reassured before laying her head back onto Po's shoulder. Po smiled.
"You're everything to me, Tigress. I don't need to be the Dragon Warrior or be a kung fu master. You're everything I've ever wanted and everything I need," Po confessed.
Tigress subconsciously nuzzled deeper into Po's grasps. While Tigress didn't respond with words, Po understood that she was not one to speak many words but instead used her actions to express her emotions. By her wanting to nuzzle closer to him, Po held her tighter, mainly because he never wanted this moment to end, but also because he wanted to have her as close as he possibly could. Without crushing her, of course.
After what seemed like an eternity, the two finally broke their embrace. Po got Crane to take the musicians back to their village, promising them free noodle soup, which they politely accepted. After Crane left with the musicians, the two sat against the Peach Tree, with Tigress leaning into Po's shoulder while Po wrapped an arm around her waist, holding her close.
Tigress still felt guilty about causing the wound on Po's shout, and so without warning, she leaned up and started to lick the wound affectionately. Po was surprised to see Tigress display such affection, but he wanted her to be happy, and so he allowed her to continue to clean his wound. Po couldn't help but giggle at the roughness of her tongue, feeling ticklish to him. Hearing Po's laughter made Tigress chuckle to herself, and as she knew that it was from her actions, she continued to clean his wound to keep on hearing his laughter. Unknown to neither was the fact that Tigress was healing Po's wound. By morning, it would be healed.
As the night drew on, the two continued to sit and talk, not daring to break the embrace they had. Mainly because they didn't want to leave the warmth they shared, but also because neither wanted the night to end. Unfortunately for both Po and Tigress, their bodies had other ideas and were longing for sleep. Tigress was the first to succumb to sleep, using Po's shoulder and chest as a cushion. While Po watched the sleeping beauty that laid in his arms, his eyes grew droopy, and before too long, Po too had fallen asleep. And the two slept in each other's loving arms.
A/N: And that concludes this song-fic. What did you think?
I know... it was very mushy, cushy, itsy-bitsy fluffy. I couldn't help it. Well I could, but shhh!
Hopefully you liked it. It was pretty random, but hey, what story isn't?
Until next time, take care and stay safe!
Adios!
