Julietta was vengeful, but she wasn't stupid.
She knew if she were going to pull this off, she needed to get over her fear of the lake. That meant swimming lessons.
Of course, Meghan was a great swimmer, so she needed to find an instructor unfamiliar to the Logans. It took all day and hours of walking, but she did it.
She only had a week, she knew she wouldn't be an accomplished swimmer in a week, but she wouldn't be totally helpless. She spent hours in the pool that first day, and she'd gone from flailing helplessly from the memories of her death to cautiously propelling herself around the pool.
Juliet liked Justin, and it was clear that Justin liked Meghan, but did he really have to like the damned lake so much? She'd hoped Justin would understand her not wanting to go near the lake after what happened to Meghan's mother, but yet he insisted. She shook like a leaf the entire time, and refused Justin's comforting hug when they'd gotten back to dry land. They didn't talk for the rest of the week.
Meghan had tried to get Justin's help to reclaim her body, but the argument with Juliet had clouded his mind and blocked out her voice. On midnight of the last day of the week, Julietta smiled as she slipped into sleep, the sorrowful screams of Meghan Logan as she was wiped from the living plane sounding like music to her ears. She finally had her revenge.
Julietta hated looking in the mirror, all she could see was Martha. Sometimes, she swore she could see the ghost of Martha glaring at her, hating her for stealing her granddaughter's life.
She and Justin didn't last as a couple. She was too wild for him, he too demure for her, and she would never stop hating the lake. She dated a few different boys until she'd met her eventual husband, and they'd had two kids, a son and a daughter.
When her daughter Jules walked up to her one day calling her Etta and telling her she'd pay for her theft, Julietta snapped.
Meghan was vengeful, but she didn't expect Juliet to kill her own daughter. She'd only meant to scare her, to remind her of the pain she'd caused. She stared down at Juliet as she tearfully dragged her daughter's body into the boat and raced towards the middle of the lake. Mother joined daughter shortly thereafter.
