As the heavens poured down on us, he took me under the gazebo to dry off. I saw him get down on one knee and extend his arm out.

What is he asking me?

"Umm.." I half ask-half say. Then he sways his body, pretending to dance with someone. The light bulb in my head turns on.

"No music…" I reply. I see him slowly get up, and watch his gaze on me as he plays along to melodious music. I don't even think twice as to why I can hear the 'music' he's playing. He extends his arm one more time. I hesitate. And comply. He pulls me close and sways me around; I feel his hot breath on my throat while there's a cold shiver down my spine.

He uses his finger to trace the outline of my body, and I lock his fingers with mine. Perfection. I snap out of it as he quickly turns me around, and begin to walk away until I can go no further. I realize he's tugging on my sari and that's when I realize what I have been missing these past nine years.

"This could have been us."

"I love you so much."

All these thoughts rush into my head as I aimlessly walk towards him, placing my hand on his cheek. I slowly move my hand down his face, over his eyes, past his lips, and-

Abhijeet.

What have I done? My heart is once again broken; just like it was two years ago when He was about to confess his love to her but couldn't because of his shyness or maybe nervousness...

I turn around and face him, with tears running down my face. He has no idea. He doesn't realize that I'm about to break his heart just like he unintentionally broke mine.

It's always too late...because i just came his home to give my wedding card...
