Brittany's POV:
"Knock knock, are you ready?" My mom asks while leaning against my door frame. "Yes, I just have to text Santana that we're on our way." I said as I grabbed my red duffel bag and my phone. I sent my best friend Santana a quick text and my mom and I walked downstairs. I was really excited to go cheer camp this year. Coach sue got the Cheerios together last week and gave us all an envelope with the 'mystery cheer camp location', and told us to bring fishing hats and gardening gloves. I had no idea why we needed those things, but I learned not to ask too many questions when it came to Coach Sue.
My dad was sitting on the couch so i kissed him on his head and told him that we're leaving now. "Alright honey have fun, tell Santana I said hi." He said with a smile. "I will dad, bye I love you". My mom was dropping Santana and I off at the 'mystery location', so we got in the car and drove to Santana's house.
Santana has been my best friend for over a year now. I joined the Cheerios a little later than her, but we were both pretty new and quickly became best friends. It was like god had laid a hand, because we clicked so well. I was mesmerised on the first day I saw her, I still remember the day so clearly. She was wearing her new Cheerios outfit and her hair was tied up in a high ponytail. She was sitting next to a blonde haired girl and Coach Sue when i was auditioning for the Cheerios. That blonde girl turned out to be Quinn Fabray, my other friend and the three of us called ourselves 'The unholy trinity'. We were in fact really unholy, so the name was only fitting.
"Are you sure you've got everything honey?" My mom said, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Yes i'm sure mom, and if i forgot something Santana will probably let me borrow her stuff." I said with a chuckle. My mom chuckled too and told me that we're almost at Santana's. We drove up to her house and i got out of the car to knock on her front door.
I waited a moment and i heard a faint "BYE MOM, BRITT'S HERE!" I laughed quietly and waited for the door to open. The door finally opened and it revealed a very out of breath Santana holding her red Cheerio duffel bag. "Let me guess.." I said while looking at her with a smirk. "You started packing like 10 minutes ago didnt you?" She looked at me like she was about to argue with me but her facial expression changed and she let out a small "Yes and shut up, i lost track of time." I let out a laugh and she started laughing too. "Hey Britt-Britt.." She said and she gave me a big hug. "..You look really good today" She said a she pulled away while looking at my outfit. We were both wearing our Cheerios outfits with our hair in a high pony. I blushed at her compliment and said "You look pretty good yourself San, but we have to go my mom's waiting." I grabbed her bag and started walking towards the car with Santana behind me.
I opened the trunk and put her bag down next to mine, then i opened the back door for Santana to get in and closed the door after her. I walked to the other side of the car and got in myself. "Hi Whitney, thanks for picking me up." Santana said sweetly to my mom. My mom smiled at her and said "Of course Santana, you're basically my second child." The three of us started laughing and i put on some music and typed in the location on the GPS. The car ride was not that long and it was filled with Santana and I singing along to the songs and talking about how much fun Cheer Camp is going to be.
When we arrived, Santana and I looked out the windows and all we saw was green. "Are you sure we're at the right place?" I asked my mom and looked at the location on the envelope again. "Yes honey although i'm not really that sure anymore right now.." She answered. I sighed and started looking around. Suddenly i saw a few flashes of red and white behind some trees. I started tensing up, because i though that there was a serial killer or some shit. "Hey Britt look, it's Quinn" Santana said and I realized that the flashes of red and white were Quinn's Cheerio outfit. "Oh so we are at the right location?" I asked and I looked at Santana. "I think so, but why would Sue pick this place?" she asked. "Girls, it's Coach Sue..this location is so Sue.." My mom said with a chuckle. "You're so right mom. Okay well Let's go San before we lose Quinn" I Said as I opened my door and stepped out of the car. I heard Santana say goodbye to my mom as I grabbed both of our bags. Santana hopped out of the car and grabbed her bag and my mom rolled down her window. I walked up to her window and she pressed a kiss on my cheek. "Have fun girls, be safe." She said to the both of us with a smile. "Thank you for dropping us off, mom" I thanked my mom. "Of course sweeties, i'll see you in a few days" she said as she drove off.
Santana and I stood there for a while with our bags in our hands. Suddenly I saw her smirk at me and she said "Race me to Quinn". I looked at her and I tilted my head to see if she was being serious. "Are you serious because we both know i'm way faster than you." I said with a smirk. "We'll see about that, Pierce" She said and she winked at me. My heart skipped a beat and we both got into running positions. It was a little hard, because we were both holding our duffel bags but we did it anyways. "Okay Lopez you ready?" I asked as I turned my head to the side to look at Santana. She was already looking at me and had a slight blush on her face. "I was born ready, B" We started counting down from 3 to 1 together.
3...2...1...GO!
We started running and like I said, I was faster. I slowed down a bit to let Santana catch up with me, but she started running faster and she got ahead of me. I was beginning to get a little tired, because my bag was kind of heavy. I looked at Santana, who was running in front of me and couldn't help myself from looking at her ass. It looked really good in her Cheerios outfit and I kind of got distracted. So distracted that i didn't notice that santana turned her head and was looking at me while she was still running. "You like the view?" She panted. My eyes shot up and my face got red, even redder than it was before. "Shut up San" I managed to get out, because I was panting. We kept on running and Santana ended up beating me. "I WON" she yelled and she looked like she was about to faint. "That's not fair, I got distracted!" I said and she winked at me.
"Guys what the fuck, why were you running?" Quinn asked ur with her eyebrows raised up. "We were racing Quinn, and I totally won" Santana said. "Whatever Santana i'll totally beat you next time" I said while I faked being annoyed. "Sure B, whatever you say" She said while she looked me up and down.
"Guys you two are late, all the Cheerios are already at the camp. Sue has had me looking for you." An annoyed Quinn said while pushing us to walk a little faster. "Jesus Fabray calm down. We're not that late, we just weren't sure that this was the right place. Where the fuck are we?" Santana asked while trying not to trip over the twigs on the ground. I was wondering the same thing, because all i could see was that we were in the middle of the woods. Quinn didnt say anything back, probably because she was just as annoyed to walk through the woods. We kept walking for a few minutes until i started seeing a big open space with tents.
I finally saw the rest of the Cheerios sitting down on several tree trunks around a fire. It looked really cozy and warm. The cheer squad looked at us and a few of them started walking towards us to say hi. Santana and I dropped our duffel bags next to the other bags and sat down next to eatchother on a tree trunk.
"Alright fatties, Sandbags, Legs and Q, welcome to this year's Cheer Camp. We've got a lot to do today and the sun is almost setting so hurry the hell up and start setting up these tents. Before you girls go to bed tonight I want to have made every single one of my Cheerios cry at least once." Our Coach Sue said in one breath while walking up to us. Walking next to her was her favorite Cheerio, Becky. I'm really glad i'm friend with Becky, because if you weren't, Coach Sue would literally make your life a living hell. "WHY IS EVERYONE STILL SITTING DOWN?" She suddenly yelled and we all started setting up the tents.
My tent was being a real pain in my ass and I walked up to Santana who was also struggling with hers. "Saaan please help me this is so hard." I whined and she just smiled at me. "I would love to help you with yours Britt-Britt, but i'm literally dying here. How about we just do one tent at a time?" She said while dropping her tent and walking closer to me. She took one side of the tent and we we laid it out on the ground and started connecting the tent poles. We could hear Sue talking in her megaphone and she said something like "YOU THINK THIS IS HARD? TRY LIVING WITH HEPATITIS, THAT'S HARD!"
Santana and I looked at eatchother and started laughing, because Coach Sue kept saying weird shit. The sun was setting and Santana looked really good with the sunlight hitting her like that. I couldnt stop staring at her and I felt my cheeks getting warm. Suddenly her lips were moving but I couldnt hear what she was saying, I was too focused on staring at her.
"B, did you hear me?" Santana asked softly, pulling me out of my trance. "Huh what?" I asked and she started giggling. "Too busy staring at me?" She teased and I just laughed nervously, because..."yes I was too busy staring at you" I thought in my head. "Shut up San, what did you say?" I asked. "Iasked if you've seen the last pin, because we need it." I looked around and I couldnt see a pin, so I stood up and lifted a part of the tent to look underneath it. I spotted the pin underneath the tent and i asked Santana if she could hold up the tent. She did and I squatted down to grab the pin. Suddenly I felt the tent get heavier on my head and I looked up at santana who was staring at me. "San pay attention" I scolded and she just said "Sorry B, but you distracted me i couldnt help it. I laughed and grabbed the pin. I gave it to Santana and I stood up. "Huh.." I said "I guess i'm not the only one who has a staring problem." I winked and walked away to get a bottle of water leaving santana to stand there a little embarassed.
When we finished setting up the second tent, the sun was fully set. It was pretty dark and we walked back to the campfire. Sue was standing somewhere in the middle as San and I took a seat next to Quinn, who was eating marshmallows. I grabbed some marshmallows too, and shared them with Santana.
"Okay, so far i've made only 8 of you cry.. I must say I'm dissapointed in myself." Coach Sue said seriously. "I have some bad news for four of you.." She started and Quinn and Santana looked at me with worried looks on their faces. "..2 tents broke today, because CHEERIO WITH THE UGLY GLASSES WHO I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF AND DON'T WANNA KNOW THE NAME OF BROKE THEM." She started yelling and Becky had to calm her down before she attacked Luna, the Cheerio with the glasses. I had to keep myself from laughing and quickly stuffed a marshmallow in my mouth. After Sue calmed down, she started talking again. "So..Glasses and Ugly pants you two will sleep in 1 tent." She said while looking at Luna and another girl who I've literally never seen before. "Boobs and Legs, you two have to sleep in 1 tent too." Sue continued and my heart skipped a beat when I heard my and Santana's nicknames together. I looked up at Santana who had the same look on her face as me. We have been best friends for a long time and we always have sleepovers, but thinking of the two of us sleeping in the same tent made my cheeks start to turn a deep shade of red. Quinn looked at me with a smirk on her face and then looked at Santana.
When Coach Sue's was done with her announcement, we all shared stories around the campfire and talked about what we're going to do tomorrow. Our coach was being a little weird when we asked her what we were doing the next day and kept saying that we would have to wait and see. The only thing she gave away was that she's going to test our 'survival skills'.
When it was time to go to bed, Santana, Quinn and I got up to go brush our teeth and get ready for bed. "Soooo you two in one tent huh...almost like Coach Sue knew what she was doing." Quinn said with a grin on her face while we walked towards our tents. "I dont know what you're talking about, Fabray." Santana said quickly and looked away. "Yeah.." I started "..We've slept together before." I said and I quickly realized what that sounded like. "Oh wait no no no that's not what I meant" I panicked a little and Santana and Quinn just started laughing. "Shut up, I hate you two." I said and flipped them off. "Okay lovebirds I'm going to go to sleep, I'll see you two in the morning. Night Night." Quinn said as we finished brushing our teeth and she walked away towards her tent leaving Santana and I alone.
We set up our sleeping bags and pillows and I grabbed my stuffed unicorn and put it down next to me. "Oh my god B, you still sleep with that unicorn?" San asked with a cute look on her face and I looked at her slightly offended. "Excuse me he has a name" I said while slapping her arm lightly. She giggled and turned to my stuffed unicorn. "I'm sorry Mr. Unicorn, you're more than welcome in our tent." She said with a smile on her face and turned back to look at me . "Happy now Britt?" She asked sweetly and I nodded with a satisfied smile.
Santana closed the tent and took off her hoodie, revealing an oversized black band tee. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. I got into my sleeping bag and held Mr. Unicorn close to me. "You look cute in that shirt." I said and looked up at her. She winked at me and said "Thanks, you should see me without it." My eyes went wide and she giggled. "I'm kidding B" she said.
When she climbed into her sleeping bag she turned to me and said "I had a lot of fun with you today, do you have any idea what we're gonna do tomorrow?" "No not really, Sue said something about testing our survival skills. Not sure what that means though." I answered and sighed. It was really cold outside, so I was glad I had my warm sleeping bag and Mr. Unicorn. I was still a little cold and started shivering a little. Santana seemed to notice and reached over to touch my arm, I shivered even more because I was not expecting her to do that. Her hand was warm on my cold skin and I started to relax. "Britt, you're freezing. Come here." Santana said and opened het sleeping bag so I could climb in. "Are you sure..?" I asked nervously. She giggled and said "Of course B, I don't want you to freeze to death." She joked and made me laugh. "Okay, but if you die from my tight cuddles, just remember that you signed up for this." I said while getting out of my sleeping bag to climb into hers. I put Mr. Unicorn in my sleeping bag and made sure he was warm too.
I looked at Santana who was looking at me with a sweet smile on her face and I got into her sleeping bag. She wrapped her arms around me and I relaxed instantly while burying my face in the crook of her neck and intertwined our legs. "Better Britt-Britt?" She asked softly and I nodded against her neck and hummed. "Hmm way better, thanks for keeping me warm San." "Anything for you...but don't tell Quinn I said that though, because she will totally tease me for it for the rest of my life." I giggled and looked up to look her in the eyes. "I won't tell her San, pinky promise." I said while holding up my pinky. She held up her pinky too and we linked our pinkies together.
Even though it was dark in the tent, I could still see her face and I saw that she was looking at my lips. I blushed and looked at hers too, then I looked back into her eyes. I swallowed thickly and my eyes went back to look at her lips. Our faces were really close and I could feel her breath on my lips. It wasnt a secret that Santana was the most attractive girl i've ever seen before, but I never told her that, because I was too embarassed. This girl never failed to make me blush with everything that she does, and I was totally attracted to her. I never knew how she felt about me and I always though that it was impossible for her to find me attractive too. Suddenly she put her hand on my cheek and pulled me out of my thought. "You're beautiful Britt." she said softly and leaned in a little.
"You too San." I managed to get out even though my heart was racing so hard that I could swear Santana could hear it beating. "The most beautiful." I finally said as I leaned in too. Our lips were so close that I could almost feel her soft lips on mine. "Just a little closer" I thought in my head. And just like she read my mind, Santana closed the distance between our lips.
The moment out lips touched I felt like I was floating. Santana had the softest lips I've ever felt and she kissed me so softly that it didn't even feel real. She took my bottom lip inbetween hers and deepened the kiss. I hummed lowly and placed my hand on her cheek to make sure I wasn't dreaming. My whole body felt like it was on fire and I kissed her back with passion. Her thumb started rubbing circles on my cheek and I smiled while kissing her. Our lips molded perfectly with eatchother and it was like time suddenly stood still.
I could taste her peppermint chapstick and I loved it. I slowly sucked on her bottom lip and asked for permission to deepen the kiss even more. She opened her mouth a little bit more, giving me access to slip my tongue in her mouth. I snaked my tongue over hers and she pulled me closer so that I was straddling her. Her hands traveled to my neck and the kiss started to get needy and rougher. I felt Santana hum against my lips, and I smirked. I bit her lower lip and she let out a little moan. The sound drove me crazy and I pulled away to look at her. She was looking at me with lust filled eyes, and I giggled a little at how annoyed she looked that I pulled away. "Britt.." She wined with her raspy voice. I bit my lip and leaned in again, kissing her softly.
A few minutes later we both pulled away. We were tired from the day we had, and wanted to go to sleep. "Well.." Santana said finally breaking the silence. "That was hot." I chuckled and kissed her nose. "It totally was." I said while wrapping my arms around Santana. "You know that this wasn't what I meant with 'keeping you warm." She said and we both laughed. "I know, but this was way better." I said. "Now shush and go to sleep San, we need to wake up early." "Okay B, Goodnight" Santana giggled and held me closer. "Goodnight San." I said and we both fell asleep.
