A.N: Before I begin, I want to give a huge shoutout to AberrantPaint for the creation of this comic. To be honest, I was put off from writing this, thinking that it was a bad idea to do so since I hadn't known how they would've reacted to me writing fanfiction about their own fan comic. However, after messaging her if it was ok to add her characters (Deliah and Harry) to a Fanganronpa idea I was having (Which I was denied doing), I learnt that she was ok with S.A.D fanfics. After that message, I began work on this idea. Several rough drafts and two weeks of my life later, I present to you my own, I guess you can say, "Version" of the fan comic in written form.

Now, I'm not saying that this is a "Better Version" of the story; hell no. This is just my interpretation. By all means, you should check out the original and the sequel storey being done by erdinoia. They are both amazing works of art, and I highly recommend them! If you notice 'Spelling mistakes' for those American viewers out there, they aren't spelling mistakes, just Canadian spellings of the word, as I myself am Canadian. With this overly long Authors note out of the way, let's begin with this, shall we? Let me know what you thought of this first chapter. Any criticism is allowed, but if you have overtly negative things to say, please just keep it to yourself, constructive criticism is appreciated!

Deliah Edwards. Not much could uniquely describe this young teen. She was a quiet middle schooler who was quite often categorized as the annoying girl archetype. She was adventurous, yes, but she wasn't one to go to dangerous places. If it was one thing her father, Nick Edwards, had taught her, it was that she should stay away from places that radiated danger. She also had a knack for making things up on the spot. Her imagination was wild, so she was extremely creative in figuring out ways to solve problems, and due to that, her father always suggested that she be an actor or even a screenwriter.

However, she showed no interest in the film industry. Of course, that was because she had no idea what she wanted to do when she finished school. After all, she was only 13 years old, so she still had a huge portion of her life ahead of her. There was one other quirk about her that was interesting. It was the fact that she had vivid nightmares about things that were linked with the popular and also shut down Freddy Fazbears pizzeria.

Now, these nightmares in question ranged from multiple things, from being stalked by Freddy in the halls of a restaurant to being trapped in a bedroom with two doors, a closet, and hideous abominations. The reason as to why she had these nightmares alluded her. But she believed it to be because of one place she explored over two months ago. It was an abandoned Fazbears restaurant. Now, normally, she would steer far away from places like fazbears, as they creeped her out, despite liking the characters.

However, that evening changed everything.

That evening was a normal evening for Deliah. She was wearing a purple hoodie, black sweat pants, and black sneakers. Underneath the hoodie was a pink shirt with white stripes. A fun fact about Deliah was that she was allowed to be out until 9:30 pm before being forced to come home. It was already 8:50 pm, and her house was a 10-minute walk, so she wanted to extra sure that she had enough time to get home and avoid scolding from her father. But there was one place she always wanted to explore, despite its radiating danger.

It was the rundown, forgotten, and abandoned fazbears restaurant that was at the edge of town. It had been a want of hers to do for so long. Yet, she felt alarmed. Like she felt as if her stomach and brain were warning her to stay away. Yet she wanted to explore it so badly! It was like an urge that needed to be quenched. It was especially difficult to suppress it, especially when she felt like her name was being called to it. It was like it beckoned for her to enter the building. Yet, each time, she suppressed the urge to explore it.

That was, until tonight. Despite the gut feeling that rested deep within her stomach, telling her to steer clear from the place, she wanted to, no, needed to explore that place. She approached the building and stared up at the entrance. The banner was missing, but there was a faint outline of the titular characters, namely that of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and of course, Foxy. Underneath were outlines of the name of the place. Then, there was the front of the building itself.

The walls were grey, and the white and black pattern colouring was faded, and the once bright red entrance doors were covered in rust, and the paint was chipping. Swallowing her pride and grasping the black flash-light she brought with her, she used her free hand to grip the handle. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled and attempted to pull open the door. Much to her surprise, the door was unlocked. Sighing, she stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

She took the hood off her head as long brown hair draped down to her shoulders. It was messy from being under a hood, and she looked like she hadn't brushed it at all. Her chocolate brown eyes bounced back and forth from side to side, eyeing every corner of the foyer. There was an ordering/ticket check-out booth off to the right and many torn and ripped-up posters to her left. Under the booth were old, now broken, ordering screens. It seemed this place was only recently closed, even though the last time it was open was in 1998. She shone her flashlight down the hallway that led to the main room. To her surprise, there weren't many cobwebs, almost as if someone was there.

A chill ran up her spine as she stepped forth into the main room. Her light was trained in front of her, and her eyes went wide. Standing on stage were Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, and Chica the chicken! Off to the right was Foxy, the pirate fox. The animatronics were horribly rotten, as parts of them were falling off, such as Freddy's lower arms, revealing its endoskeleton's arms. The bottom jaw of the endoskeleton was exposed, which made her shiver in fear of looking at him.

Then there was Chica. She had no arms, and they were in a t-pose like formation. Her bottom jaw was gone, including from her endoskeleton. Her right leg and right arm were missing the cheap fabric platting that the animatronic had, and as a result, more of her endoskeleton was exposed. But that wasn't the most terrifying of the three on stage. Lastly was Bonnie. His whole body was gone, no fabric, just endoskeleton and wires. He had no face, and the worst part was that his eyes were red. He had a missing ear, and his legs were withered beyond repair.

Deliah stared in horror. The only thought echoing out in her mind was a single question: 'What happened to them?' They looked destroyed. Like someone or something did this to them. Perhaps teenagers who wanted to destroy something. It was a possibility. She shined her light over at pirates cove, which was slightly open. Knowing the state of the others, she hadn't wanted to see what was wrong with foxy.

The room itself was cleanish. Despite the dirt stains on the table star-ridden table cloth, it looked like it had been stuck in the '80s. The triangle banners loosely hung from the roof, and the lights were all broken. She was glad she brought a flashlight; otherwise, she would have been oblivious to her surroundings. She walked around the room and peered down the several hallways of the building.

She picked the one near the stage, which revealed two bathrooms. A men's, and females. She didn't want to enter the bathrooms simply because she hated public restrooms. But there was something else that piqued her interest. Just before you stepped into the men's bathroom, there was a boarded-up room. Her heart began to race, her stomach hurt, and her mind was telling her not to approach that room. She began to sweat bullets just looking at it.

Something was beyond that point. Something dangerous was beyond that point, and she wasn't going to be the one to check what it was.

Just as she was about to ignore it and explore the rest of the restaurant, she heard clicking and clacking. Glancing out into the main room, nothing. There was nothing there, aside from the three on stage. But why did she hear something move? Her heart began to pound against her chest as she felt her blood run cold.

Something, or someone, was in this abandoned restaurant. Whether or not she was alone was not her main issue. It was the fact she heard something move that freaked her out. "Ok, keep calm. It was probably just the building settling." Deliah thought to herself as she stared at the boarded-up door. Her mind began to race, was what she heard perhaps on the other side of that door? Shaking her head, she turned to leave, only to stop herself.

What if someone was trapped in that room? What if they can't get out? What if they need help! With all these thoughts, Deliah turned back to the room. The urge to rip the boards off grew more and more as she swallowed any fear she had mustered up before. She wanted to see what was beyond that door. She grabbed onto one of the boards and tried to rip it off. To her surprise, the board came off with ease. She arched her brow at this. It shouldn't have been that easy. In fact, upon closer inspection, the wood was rotten.

"Strange… how long has this been up?" Deliah thought out loud. Her questions stopped when she heard a loud clanging noise. Quickly swinging her flash-light to the main room, nothing had changed. She was really starting to get creeped out. Her breathing was rigid, and now she felt cold sweat run down her forehead. She was terrified. There was this air of mystery and dread in this building. Something was horribly wrong about this place.

She was compelled to leave, but for whatever reason, she wanted to, no, needed to see what was beyond that boarded-up door. So, once again, she bottled up her fear, and she ripped another board off the door. There were six left. Six rotten, decaying boards. With each one being removed, she felt her heart beat faster and faster. When it finally came to the last piece, she could hear her heartbeat ringing in her ears. Then, she ripped the last one-off, and the door was now visible.

"Safe room?" Deliah muttered. Why would a room literally called 'safe room' be boarded up as if it was dangerous? Before she opened the door, she looked at her wristwatch. It was 9:20 pm. She had to leave, or else her father would worry about her. Sighing, she looked at the door; her curiosity peaked at what could be behind that door. However, she knew she had to leave.

Turning around, she headed for the exit. With each step she took, she could have sworn that she heard something calling to her, begging her to stay. However, she chalked it up to her hearing things. She opened the front door and mentally sighed to herself. She knew she was going to come back, but next time, it would be much earlier. As she left, she closed the door behind her. Walking away from the building, she began to ponder… "What was behind that door that required it to be boarded up?" Deliah thought, walking away from the building…

That was two months ago. Two whole months and she never went back. Tonight, however, that would change. Tonight was the night that she would return to that damned Pizzeria. She had looked at the time previous to leaving the house. When she left, it was 8:00 pm. She had an hour and a half to search the pizzeria; then, she would come back.

The walk was the same as before, 10 minutes. When she arrived, the building looked more decayed than before. There was a sign saying: To be destroyed. It seems that the city was going to destroy the building, meaning this was the last time she would get to explore it. To be honest, she was glad. This building was solely responsible for giving her some of the most horrifying nightmares imaginable. Shaking her head, she turned on the flashlight and went to open the doors. Just like last time, they were unlocked.

Walking inside, she closed the door behind her. The building was more or less the same. Of course, there was now moss scattered about and grass growing from cracks in the floor. She heard the sounds of mice squeaking. It was, odd to say the least. It seemed that the building aged more than two months. She walked deeper into the building, to the main room where the animatronics were. Except, they were gone. 'Maybe the company who planned on destroying the place took them…' Deliah thought as she walked to the place where she discovered the 'safe room.'

Sure enough, the place remained the same way it was all those months ago. Grabbing the door, she swung it open. The moment she did, she felt the cold hand of death suffocate her sense of smell. It smelt like rotting tuna in the room. It was awful, it was horrid, and as a result, she nearly threw up. Choosing to pinch her nose, she stepped inside, and what awaited her was a frightening sight.

Her eyes widened as she stared at a decaying rabbit animatronic. Bloodstained the wall behind it and around it. It was slouched against the wall, and there was something resembling a human mouth that barely showed itself to the outside world from underneath the mask. Deliah stepped back, her heart racing as she tripped backwards.

Trying and failing to scramble to her feet, she stared at the thing, her flashlight trained on it as she could swear, she saw its finger twitch. "W-What the hell?!" Deliah half whispered, half screamed. That was when she saw its eyes flash on. It somehow turned on. Then, a deafening scream echoed throughout the room. It came out of the rabbit as it activated.

To call it a scream was a generous statement. It was more of a hiss that akin to a snake. Deliah felt her heartbeat a mile a minute. Whatever that thing was, it clearly was now alive. She attempted to stand up, but she felt something wet underneath her. It was more blood. She turned her head around to see a human hand in a present box. When she turned her head back around, she saw a decaying, mechanical leg.

She stared up to see the rabbit animatronic staring down at her. Its white glowing eyes stared into her own as she heard ragged breathing coming from the thing. She raised her hands over her head in a meek attempt to protect herself. That was when she heard it laugh. It was rough sounding, but it had a strange semblance of humanity laced within it. "That's cute little girl. But might I ask… why are you here?" The rotting rabbit said as Deliah glanced through her weak defence. It was still standing over her, but its arms were behind its back professionally.

"My apologies for scaring you. I see you have found out what happened to one of those… people who tried dragging me away. I hope that you aren't one of them. It would be saddening for me to have to end your life as well." The rabbit said as Deliah's eyes widened. Never in her life had she heard something so… vile… be spoken out of an animatronic.

She lowered her arms and stood up, glaring at the animatronic with a meek fury laced in her eyes. "Y-You killed that man? W-Why?!" Deliah asked as the robot snickered. "Oh, it's simple. He disturbed me, you see. No one has come to see me in over 30 years. So I'm not used to the company. I guess you can chalk it up to me not being… around… for so long. So, imagine waking up to someone trying to drag you by the leg. Not exactly pleasant now, is it?" The rabbit said as Deliah swallowed her pride. She admitted it would be a jarring thing to wake up to, but killing someone for it? Maybe it was unintentional. Then again, the amount of blood on the floor said otherwise.

The animatronic chuckled, reaching its hand out to the girl. "My name is Springtrap. It is a pleasure to meet you." The robot said as Deliah stared at the hand with a concerned look. "Have you not shaken a hand before? Oh, it must be because of my appearance, isn't it? Well, no worries, I'm harmless." The way he said the last word sounded suspicious. Almost like he was trying to calm her nerves. It was hard to do that with a voice like his. It made her feel unnerved.

Mentally chastising herself, she grabbed the robot's hand and shook it. "My name i-is Deliah… It's nice to meet you, Springtrap…" Deliah said as the robot bellowed a laugh. "Deliah, you say, That is quite an odd name. I can't say I've heard it before. However, you never answered my question. Why are you at this accursed location?" Springtrap asked, his tone of voice quickly turning sinister as Deliah swallowed her fear. She felt him grabbing her hand tighter as she let out a deep breath.

"I-I always l-like exploring places t-that peak my c-curiosity," Deliah said. She was telling the truth; this place truly did interest her. However, she was starting to regret coming here. The rabbit let go of her hand as she quickly retracted hers. It was a little red, and it slightly hurt, but it wasn't broken. "I see. Well, Deliah. Might I now also ask how you accessed this room? It was boarded up years ago; it was inaccessible." Springtrap asked.

Deliah tried to smile but couldn't. The oppressive energy admitting from the robot was suffocating, so all she could muster was a half-assed grin. "T-The boards w-were rotten, s-so I just r-ripped them o-off," Deliah said, sweat travelling down her forehead as the animatronic was silent. This gave Deliah a chance to observe it fully.

It was tall, most likely seven feet tall. It had holes all over its body, whether it be its arms, legs, torso, or even head. Its left ear had the top half missing, and its jaw was riddled with rips and tears. Its teeth were stained yellow, and the rest of its body was an off-green. Its finger joints were visible, and the top of the middle finger was gone on its left hand. There was wiring sticking out of the animatronics arm joints and torso. All in all, it looked like a monster.

"You're staring at me. Are you perhaps intrigued at my decayed design?" The robot said as Deliah shook her head. "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to stare!" Deliah said, apologizing to the robot as it chuckled. "There's no need to apologize. It's not often you get to see a living animatronic." Springtrap said as Deliah turned her head away. The animatronic sighed, stepping away from Deliah, which caused her to sigh a breath of relief mentally.

"Well, seeing as you seem to be just minding your own business, I'll leave you alone. However, I do want to ask if you could come to visit me every once in a while. I never get any company ya 'know." Springtrap said as Deliah sighed. She didn't know if it was a good idea to visit this… thing… daily. "U-Uh, I'm sorry, but I g-got school and stuff like that… So I don't think it's possible." Deliah said as Springtrap snickered. "You have nightmares about this place… don't you?" Springtrap said, his tone of voice dropping to a sinister tone. Deliah didn't know what to say to that. How did he know? Was he the cause of them? But that couldn't be possible.

"I know why you have those nightmares; I could answer all your questions. All you have to do is repair my body. I'll tell you anything you want to know about this place, depending on what those questions are." Springtrap said as Deliah's eyes widened. She was curious about fazbears, so much so that she had done a paper about it in school. She knew the basics, like the missing children's incident, the bite of '87, and all that jazz. But this animatronic that she just met said that it had all the answers. Was that true? She had to know.

"Really?" Deliah said as Springtrap snickered. "Of course, I never lie to those who I consider friends." The rabbit stated as she swallowed her building fear. She didn't know whether or not to trust him. Hell, all she wanted to do was leave, but this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and she wasn't about to pass it up.

"F-Fine. But I don't know h-how to repair you…" Deliah admitted as Springtrap chuckled. "Don't worry; I can teach you." The rabbit animatronic said. Deliah bit her bottom lip before letting out a sigh. She looked back up at the animatronic before giving a quick little nod, flashing a smile upon her face. Deep within her mind, her consciousness was telling her that it was a bad idea, something about this… thing… was giving her anxiety, but her heart was set. She was going to repair this robot, and in turn, she was going to learn about what happened at Freddy's.

"Thank you, Deliah. I'll see you tomorrow." The animatronic said as Deliah exited the room, closing the door behind her. The moment she left, Springtrap let out a subtle sigh. He had been waiting for a way to escape this blasted pizzeria. Being trapped in a back room for over 30 years after being spring locked to death was not the most pleasant way to go. But he was determined to get out, and now he had the help of this girl. He didn't know much about her, but he figured he might as well learn about her and develop some sort of connection to the outside world while she patched him up.

He knew that Fazbears had gone under, it was obvious by the lack of voices beyond the wall after three or so years being back there, but it always intrigued him what happened to the outside world. He didn't want to leave in this state. After all, it was obvious that a walking robot with a human corpse within it was not a good look.

"Deliah… what a peculiar name…" Springtrap muttered to himself. The door was now unlocked, and the boards were removed. Meaning he could venture throughout the restaurant if he so chose. He snickered again before opening the door. Just as he did so, he heard another door close. The girl had left. When he first set eyes upon her, he intended on killing her. But there was something about that girl, he didn't know what it was, but something about her reminded him of his long-deceased daughter.

Letting out a trembled sigh at the thought of his dearly departed, he gazed up at the ceiling. Five spirits stared down at him; their black, hollow pits for eyes glared at him. Their white iris's stared into his as he chuckled. "Hello… kids." It was the only thing he said before mentally grinning. The Springtrap has risen, and he is not alone…

-End: Chapter 1-
