A/N: Timelines for both series are altered.
The flight from Japan to New York City took more than half a day. By the time he arrived, it was noon. Rohan flopped onto the hotel room's bed. Everyone back in Morioh would be asleep by now, but after a few deep sighs he got up, put on his coat to head outside.
He had two days spared for sightseeing the famous city before he attended the gala. He was going to make best use of that time.
Who would have thought that Rohan would be invited to a charity gala. Did the great Kishibe Rohan finally have a change of heart and decide to start helping those in need? Of course not. He's attending this gala for his own benefit. Helping people is just an added bonus.
He donated an unmentionable sum of money to attend this charity gala. His reputation as a famous manga artist had also helped him in getting his invitation.
Now the question is, why go through so much trouble to attend a gala? The reason is simple. The host is none other than Tony Stark. The Ironman. And the rest of the Avengers will be attending as well.
This is his opportunity to collect precious material and inspiration for his manga! After aliens invaded New York and the team of special individuals appeared to save the day, Rohan has been aching to read through their memories. There is so much potential in their experiences to add to his manga. This gala will allow him to get close enough to the Avengers to use [Heaven's Door].
Rohan knows that it will be dangerous. He had read news articles on these so called heros and learned that they are powerful individuals. However, if it's for his manga, it's worth the risk.
Peter was swinging across the city when he heard a scream. Following the sound, he came across a thug cornering a young lady in a secluded alley. The thug held out a knife as he slowly approached her.
When will these criminals give up? He stopped at least three other guys this morning.
Peter rushed to her rescue by shooting web at the assailant and pulling him into the air.
"H-hey! What?" the man exclaimed in shock.
"It's your friendly neighborhood Spiderman!" Peter said while jumping down the building to face the man.
The thug attempted to wiggle free but only managed to look like a worm on a hook. Peter stuck him to a wall.
He turned to the lady. "You okay?"
"Y-yeah." She stuttered out a reply.
The lady flinched when the thug spat on the ground and demanded to be released.
"You better get me down from here! Or else-" twip. Peter shot some webbing onto his mouth.
"Hey, call the police to get him arrested alright? And have a nice rest of the day!"
Just as he was about to leave, he noticed a figure retreating around the wall and onto the street. Suspicious, he followed him and found a green haired asian man with a yellow zig zag headband. He wore a camera around his neck and a purse strap attached to a sketchbook. His bizarre attire consisted of a crop top, showing off his lean muscles, and white baggy pants. He should have looked ridiculous in the outfit, but he managed to pull it off.
Peter landed in front of the green haired man to question him. "Who are you? What were you doing snooping around the alley?"
Spiderman had just rudely jumped in front of him, blocking his way. Without a moment to spare, he summoned [Heaven's Door] to briefly flip through the superhero's memories. Activating his stand, Spiderman's face started to peel away into pages of a book. Information and memories were printed on those pages. He quickly wrote in the pages to make him fall unconscious.
Through the pages, Rohan learned that the superhero was actually a high school student by the name of Peter Parker. He lived with his aunt and interned for Stark Industries.
It seems he is a brave and kind-hearted kid. He reminds him of Koichi.
A while ago, Rohan would have taken pages out of Spiderman to use as inspiration for his manga, but ever since that burnt steak-haired Josuke beat him up for stealing Koichi's, he hasn't been stealing anyone else's pages.
Rohan shouldn't be leaving him unconscious for too long lest it draw suspicion. He writes, 'Cannot harm Rohan Kishibe', onto a page before recalling his stand.
Spiderman shook his head disoriented, then looked at Rohan.
Remembering that he was being questioned, Rohan answered with a drawl. "I simply heard the scream and decided to check it out. By the time I got there, you had already arrived and dealt with the problem. So I left without commotion."
"O-oh, I see. I didn't mean to accuse you! I just decided to ask you just in case! There's been a lot of supervillains lately! And with your bright clothes it looked like you had a costume on." Spiderman raised his hands in a peaceful gesture. "I'm sor-"
"Oh my God! It's Spiderman!" A group of highschool students ran up to the duo.
"Wait. Are you Rohan Kishibe?" One of the kids asked.
Rohan nodded.
"What?! Really? I'm a big fan of your manga! Dark Pink Boy!"
"What're you doing in New York?"
"Hey, Spiderman! Can we get a picture?"
"Can we have both your autographs?"
"Did you save any people today, Spidey?"
"Mr. Kishibe! Please tell me what will happen in the next chapter! Is Light Blue Girl really dead?"
Blocking out the noise, Rohan had a sudden understanding for Jotaro. He was getting annoyed and had an urge to tell them to shut up.
Taking out his paint brush, he swiftly dipped it in ink and flung it around with inhumane speed. The ink all landed on the group's notebooks. It perfectly showed a drawing with his signature.
Eyes wide, the group thanked him happily. They quickly took a photo with Spiderman and went on their way.
"You're the author for Dark Pink Boy?" Spiderman finally asked.
"Yes, that's me."
"I've read your manga and I really enjoy it! C-could you… um… give me your autograph too?"
"Of course."
They spent an hour speaking with one another. About their experiences. It was quite enlightening. There was something about simply socializing and sharing thoughts that made Rohan feel true connections and understanding. You couldn't feel that only through reading about someone's life.
Spiderman — no, Peter — was what you would call a typical teenager. But a typical teenager doesn't have superpowers. A typical teenager probably wouldn't risk their life everyday to save others. Peter was a hero. Someone who would go out of their way to help others even if it didn't benefit themselves.
Rohan pondered on this idea of a superhero till he was interrupted.
"Hey, could you draw me?" Spiderman asked excitedly.
"No." Rohan has had way too many people ask him that and he was not going to comply.
"Oh, okay then." Spiderman's response immediately boosted Rohan's respect for him. Most people would continue to pester him. Up until he would use his stand to make them act like a chicken and run around the street.
It was written on him that he was supposed to meet his aunt, so Rohan kindly reminded him. "Hey it's getting late, don't you have other activities to do today?"
"Oh! Ya! I really gotta go!" Spiderman anxiously exclaimed.
He shot his web and swung himself up. "Hope we meet again someday!" He shouted and disappeared around the skyscrapers.
A hero is someone who goes out of their way to help others...
Rohan did a quick sketch of Spiderman swinging across buildings, then decided to head back to the hotel.
He had many more heroes to look forward to meeting in this big city.
