Chapter 1
It was the January 1st of the year 2000, and all the Greek and Roman gods were celebrating the dawn of a new millennia on Olympus in their mixed divine forms. Dionysus/Bacchus, the god of wine, madness and festivities, was having the time of his immortal life, hosting a party in which all members of the Greek and Roman pantheon were present. Just as he was about to take another swig from his goblet of first-class wine, Demeter/Ceres, the goddess of agriculture, approached him.
"Dionysus/Bacchus, could I have a moment?" enquired Ceres/Demeter.
"Sure!" the god replied, picking up his goblet of wine and following Ceres/Demeter to her garden, where he found a apprehensive god of the wild.
"Pan/Faunus, what are you doing here, all of Olympus thought you were dead!" exclaimed Dionysus.
"I am in the process of fading, that is true, and although I would prefer to avoid contact with Olympus, I have to talk to you and Demeter/Ceres about an urgent issue." Answered Pan/Faunus, god of the wild. "You may be wondering what this issue if, so I will tell you – Nature is dying, and it needs a saviour otherwise it will die as I fade in a few years' time."
"WHAT?!" exclaimed a shocked god of wine, before he calmed himself. "Is there anything that either Demeter/Ceres or I could do to help?"
"Yes – I need you both to enter the body of a clear-sighted mortal named Elsa Green-Glücksburg, who is related to the British, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Japanese royal families and to put both of your essences into her so that she can give birth to a child who I will then make my Champion and heir so he will become the saviour of nature. Also, you must explain everything to the mortal when she becomes pregnant." Replied Pan/Faunus.
"Forgive me for questioning your reasoning Pan/Faunus, but ow do you know this will even work? And how come this Champion needs to have royal blood?" asked Demeter/Ceres.
"Well, I consulted Apollo, and Artemis (who was with Apollo at the time) and they told me to get you to do exactly what I just told you to do, and to make the child my Champion and heir after the child is born, and they also said that they would bless the child as well as soon as the child turns six." Explained Pan/Faunus. "As for why it has to be this particular mortal with mixed royal/imperial blood, I have no idea."
"What about my wife Ariadne? How will I explain this to her and convince her to not curse the child?" asked Dionysus/Bacchus.
"You don't really need to worry about that, as she's actually been listening to this whole conversation." Said Pan/Faunus with a smirk as Ariadne stepped out from behind a tree.
"I have no issue with you doing this husband, and I will actually give your child my blessing after he or she is born." Said Ariadne.
"Then I agree to do what you ask Pan/Faunus." Declared Dionysus/Bacchus.
"As do I." Said Demeter/Ceres.
And so began the story of Alexander Green-Glücksburg, child of Demeter/Ceres, Dionysus/Bacchus and Elsa Green- Glücksburg, Champion of Pan/Faunus.

Alex's P.O.V.
Hi, my name's Alexander. Alex for short. I live in New York with my mum, and was born in Manhattan but my mum and I keep moving houses to different parts of New York – currently, we're staying in our original home in Manhattan, that we just bought back from an old man. It's actually my birthday today (I'm turning six) and I suppose I should be happy, but I have to start my first ever school tomorrow, and I'm going to be honest with you – I'm not looking forward to it. You see, I just discovered I can split myself into two different bodies with separate consciences, but at the same time have an overall conscience that can't actually effect either of the two people, but can see everything that's going on in their minds and to them and talk to the consciences of the two bodies to convince them to do something. The only way for me to get back to my normal, whole self was to convince the two bodies to head-butt each other, which makes my head hurt when I turn back into one person. And I must say, it's crazy – one of the guys thinks that they're called Alexus, and the other thinks that they're called Alexandros! I should probably tell my mum about this…
Elsa's P.O.V.
It has now been six years since I gave birth to my precious son, six years since I last saw Dionysus, Bacchus, Demeter, Ceres, Pan and Faunus, when eight flashes illuminated the living room, almost blinding me and making me drop my knitting kit and fall of the sofa. I immediately took out my enchanted pen given to me by Dionysus and uncapped it, making it transform into my celestial bronze spear 'vine-cutter'.
"Who's there?" I called out as I emerged from behind the sofa, before I was met with the faces of the six Greek/Roman gods I was familiar with along with four others.
"Apologies for scaring you like that Elsa, the four gods you are unfamiliar with here are Artemis (Greek goddess of archery, hunting and the moon), Diana (the Roman form of Artemis), Greek Apollo (Greek god of the archery, music, prophecy, truth, healing, poetry, art and the sun, twin brother of Artemis) and Roman Apollo (the roman form of Apollo)." Said Dionysus. "They have come here to bless Alexander, so that he has more power over the wild, as well as new powers over hunting, archery, the sun, the moon and music."
"Okay, I'll bring you to Alex." I said, breathing out a quiet sigh of relief that these weren't some angry immortal deities that wanted to kill my son, while also confused about how Apollo was the god of so many things.
Alex's P.O.V.
I was just trying to convince the two bodies to head-butt each other when my mum and eight other weird beings walked into the room. My mom screamed at the sight of two slightly different versions of me and immediately picked up both of them by the scruffs of their necks and demanded they tell her what they had done to her son. Well, a bit off-topic here, but one good thing about all this is that both bodies have all my memories, so they were able to explain the situation to my mum. Honestly, I don't know how my brain(s) are able to comprehend all this – I mean, I'm only six! Anyways, after the two versions of me explained everything to my mum, I convinced them to head-butt each other, making me go back to my normal self in one body that looked like a combination of Alexus's and Alexandros's
"Well, this is unexpected." Stated a teenage dude with earphones on. "I suppose it would just be easier to give the kid our memories of this story and some of our basic memories of the Greek and Roman pantheon rather than taking the long process of explaining it to him, after which Artemis, Diana, Roman I and I can bless him."
The eight mysterious people nodded their heads in agreement and each put their thumbs on my forehead before I could protest. The amount of information that flooded my brain made me black out.
So, how did you like it? Please keep in mind that this is my first ever fanfic.
