Static walked into the kitchen to see Sandy sitting at the kitchen table happily sipping on a mug of coffee. A small grin covered her lips as she read over the cover of the newspaper that she held in one hand. Tex, and Wes, sat beside her in their highchairs, as they both nibbled on the scrambled eggs and fruit slices their mother had given them for breakfast.
"Good morning, my lovely family!" Static sang loudly as he made his way to the fresh coffee pot his soon-to-be-wife had just made.
"Morning, love. I already poured ya a cup of coffee. It's over here with yer breakfast." Sandy kept her eyes on the paper as she took another sip of her own hot beverage.
Static returned the coffee pot back into its spot on the coffee maker as he smiled and chucked to himself. He walked to the table to enjoy the meal she prepared him, but stopped before taking his seat and bent down to kiss her on the head. "You spoil me." He then took his seat and exaggerated a moan of ecstasy as he took a large drink of coffee before starting in on devouring the food before him.
"Hmm." Sandy responded to her fiancé as if she hadn't really listened to what he had just said.
Static stopped after a few bites and looked up at the two children, eating in a high chair on the other side of Sandy, as they continued to slurp up the mess they had made of their food. He then slightly frowned as he looked at their mother as she continued to ignore him in favor of the paper laid out on the table. "What's got you so mesmerized that you haven't taken notice of the blessing that is my presents?" He grinned as she finally looked up at him and gave him a playful smile in response.
"Well..." She started as she placed her mug down so she could pick up the newsprint and then folded it before placing it back on the table. "It seems the powers that be have decided we need ta send our boys off ta another war. Ya know, the usual bad news." The female let out a sigh as her mood seemed to faulter while she looked at her children. "Too much death in this world." She lightly spoke before she stood up and kissed her children on the head before starting to wipe up the remains of their food they were now just playing with at this point.
"I'm sorry, babe." Static looked at her and smiled sincerely.
She smiled back at him apologetically as she made her way to the sink to get a damp washcloth. It ain't yer fault, sugar."
"Oh, I know you being a downer isn't my fault." He raised one of eyebrows as he smiled proudly causing her to stop right before washing off Tex, and throwing the simi wet cloth at him. She gave him a stern look as he tossed it back at her now getting a smile and laugh out of her. "I surrender!" He called out as he picked up his plate and faced away from her still snickering. "Just don't take my food away!"
"Oh, I got something even better ta keep away from ya." She continued to smile as she moved on to wash up her son Wes.
"No!" Static placed his plate, almost empty, back on the table and looked at her with forced fear. "Anything but the mirror!" Sandy laughed at his response, which she should have saw coming. He smiled back at her satisfied and extremely thankful to see her in such a good mood. She'd been stressed lately due to the big day being just around the corner.
Sandy returned to her seat and grabbed her mug of coffee, but before taking a sip she leaned over and gave Static a kiss on the cheek. "My ma called while you were in da shower. She said they were about ta board, so in about five hours' time you'll be properly introduced ta my folks."
Static finished a sip of his beverage he had started right as his soon-to-be-wife started talking to him. He held up one finger to catch her attention as he swallowed. "Technically I did meet them at your first wedding."
"That's why I said properly." She playfully kicked him under the table causing him to do the same back. They kept up this somewhat aggressive game of footsy for a good minute until the kids starting fussing that they wanted free of their feeding prisons. "Oh, alright." Sandy spoke to her children as she stood up and started unstrapping them from their highchairs.
"I win the war of the sexes!" Static called to her mockingly as he left the table with his empty plate, and then cleaned it out in the sink.
"Da heck ya did." Sandy called back. "Yer just lucky these here little cuties came ta yer rescue."
"Thank you, cuties." Static enthusiastically called to the kids as he ran up and took Tex out of Sandy's arms. "I left your fee in the usual spot." He half ass whispered in the young girl's ear before placing her down so she, and her twin brother, could run off into the living room.
Sandy, and Static, watch to two young kids run off to the other room almost tripping over their owe feet due to their still extremely young age. When Static looked back up at Sandy, he found her already looking towards him with a coy smile. She returned her grin as she took a took to steps towards him and then wrapped her arms around his neck right before leaning in and giving him a deep, yet soft, kiss. Static quickly placed his hands on her hips and pulled her body into his as he pressed their lips together again.
A giggle escaped Sandy as the male squirrel started biting her neck in an over-the-top playful manor causing her to finally push him away. "Shouldn't ya be full from da breakfast I made ya?" She pointed out as he tried to pull her close to him again only to have her pushing him away tauntingly yet another time.
"You know full well I can never get my fill of you, doll." Static winked causing her to shake her head in disbelief as she started to walk in the other room to follow the children.
"Well, ya best find a way ta keep yerself inline as I'd hate ta have my folks thinking I've been taken by some rich sex addict." Sandy looked back at him mockingly before turning back to her twins playing on the floor before taking a seat on the carpet next to them.
"First of all..." Static started as he took a seat next to the adult female. "I'm not rich, because I'm not allowed to acknowledge that word due to tax purposes." Suddenly Tex, and Wes, both jumped on his lap, causing him to groan for a moment. Static picked up a small ball, laying next to him, and threw it causing the youths to run off after it, so he could continue his conversation with their mother. "Second, I'm not addicted to sex. I'm just addicted to you and that just so happens to end up causing us to have a lot of sex." His signature cocky grin crossed his lips making her give way to amused laugh.
"Please behave." She requested but was far too amused with her lover to make it sound serious.
"They're going to love me." He looked at her proudly. However, his cocky demeaner was shot a few pegs down after seeing her face loose it's amusement and be taken over with worry.
"I know they will, Shug. It's just that that isn't the only thing I'm worried about. I'm not sure how my folks and your folks will be with each other, and I have no idea how Shadow's gonna react ta everything. I mean he seems mostly fine now, but I can tell he's still pretty upset... Guess I can't blame him as our divorce isn't officially finalized yet, an-"
"Babe!" Static cut his girlfriend off as he gripped her shoulders and then kissed her lips to stop her fearful train of though that was running off on her in full gear. "Everything is going to be fine." They looked into each other's eyes for a moment. Her face covered in doubt and his giving way to loving comfort, and reassurance. "It'll be fine. I promise. I'm here for you, and the twins."
A gasp dragged from Sandy's mouth as she seemed quickly get a hold of herself. "Thank ya." She grabbed both of his hands with hers and squeezed as she kissed him. Sandy then moved to hug him tightly. "I'm so lucky yer in our life."
Static hugged Sandra back. "I'm the real lucky one." He whispered back to her.
