Authors note: Hello! You need to read the story Double before you read this one. If you don't want to, I'll give you some detail. This story does not contain Sydney, Nadia, Sloane, etc. It just contains Sark as a child. In the story double, Sark has 3 sisters and 1 brother. I also mentioned in the story that he was abused by his adoptive parents. This story just goes into detail of that. Enjoy!
Age 5
Julian Sark sat up on his bed, staring outside when his mother barged into his room. He looked up at her, slightly scared. She roughly grabbed his arm and shouted, "What did you say to your sister?"
Julian thought back then said, "I haven't even talked to any of them today!"
"Really? That's not what Amy said! She said you called her some offensive words."
"I... I didn't! I haven't even talked to Amy today!"
"Don't you dare lie to me you little brat!" She said, slapping him across the face.
Julian fell to the floor in shock, clutching his cheek. He looked up at his mother in fear as he tried not to cry. His mother grabbed him by his collar and dragged him down the stairs, into the living room. He tried not to glare at Amy, who was sitting on the couch with clearly fake tears running down her face.
"Apologize." His mother said.
Julian shuddered and stared at Amy. In the most fake sincere voice he could muster, he said, "I'm very sorry for what I said to you Amy."
Amy nodded and said in a fake sniffly voice, "It's ok. You just really hurt my feelings."
Julian winced when his mothers nails dug into his skin. "Again, I'm very sorry."
Amy nodded and his mother let go of him. He ran away, but instead of going to his room, he went into his fathers study. Tears clouded his eyes as he walked up to his father who hadn't looked up.
"Dad?"
"What?" His dad asked, immediately annoyed.
"Mom hurt me."
"Good. You probably deserved it."
Julian stepped back, and ran back to his room. He curled up on his bed and started to cry as quietly as he could. He felt totally betrayed. His dad said he deserved it. Amy lied to get him into trouble. His mom hit him. He grabbed a pillow and bit down on it, sobs wracking his body.
Age 6
Julian angrily stared at Audrey, who wasn't backing down. After calling each other names, he grabbed a glass of water and threw it on her. She shrieked and their mother ran down the stairs. One look at the scene, and she sent the maid to help Audrey. Julian backed up to the wall at the murderous look his mother was giving him. She punched him hard, in the head. He fell back and felt to dizzy to even resist his mother picking him up. He started to squirm in her arms when she walked into the bathroom. She laid him on the floor then started the tub. He almost sat up just as the tub had filled. His mother grabbed his collar and dragged him up to the tub. Once he realized what she intended to do, it was too late. He tried to fight her lowering his head under the freezing water. She held it under, as his hands clawed at the tub. He finally stopped fighting her, and saw black, just briefly. His mother finally brought his head back up, as he gasped for air. His mother lifted him on her lap, and rolled him on his stomach, as he coughed up water. He looked to the side to see his older brother Eric walking away.
"I'm sorry." He whispered to his mother. She said nothing, just used a rough towel to wipe his face off. He squirmed off her lap, and tried to get up. After coughing up more water, he sat back on his heels and watched his mother stand. "Clean the floor." He nodded and used the towel to clean up the water. He held back tears as he brought the towel to the laundry room. Eric walked in, and patted his brother on the back, slightly alarmed when Julian flinched. "Four or five minutes. That's how long she held your head under."
Age 6
Julian held his arms out as he slid down the stairs. He couldn't help but laugh as he made it to the first floor. Just as he jumped off the banister, he crashed into a vase. He grit his teeth at the loud crashing sound. His dad walked up to him, looking furious.
"I.. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Julian pleaded to his dad, who looked angry and horrified. Julian flinched as his dad grabbed his arm and dragged him up the stairs. Julian yelped as his dad pushed him down. He lost his footing and tumbled down the stairs. He screamed when he heard a loud cracking sound and fire shooting up and down his arm. Wincing, he made a grab for the railing, which he missed and hit his head, hard. Once he got to the bottom, he only saw black, and he only felt pain.
