Star Lord was pushed from his buyers shop in a rush and dusted himself off "Come on Man!"
He turned to see a beautiful green skinned woman eating fruit as she raised an eyebrow "What happened?"
Peter adjusted himself "Uh...this guy just backed out of a deal on me. If there's one thing I hate, it's a man without integrity. Peter Quill. People call me Star-Lord." He spoke with a smile of a man looking to score, now if only his little sister could restrain herself from coming back to the ship for a few hours...
Gamora smiled and spoke again, trying to entice him "You have the bearing of a man with honor" which in turn caused Peter to smirk and speak freely "Well, you know, I wouldn't say that. People say it about me, all the time, but it's not something I would ever say about myself."
Suddenly Gamora attacked him and started off with the orb before they broke out into a fight, Peter used mag ropes to keep Gamora still before she drew a knife on him and looked down "This wasn't part of the plan" she said bringing the knife down before being tackled by Rocket. Groot tried to get Peter in a net before his arm was burned off from behind him "Hey! Keep your tree trunks away from my brother!" She screamed taking a quick step toward Groot, knocking the being to the ground as she helped Peter up "I didn't need you to save me, get the orb from Greeny and we can make our merry way out of here" Peter spoke nodding to Gamora, but as the blonde stepped toward Gamora the nova corps showed up and arrested the lot of them
"Finally we have Kara Zor-el Quill from Krypton, raised from youth by Yondu with Quill. Last known Kryptonian in the universe spends her time saving her brother and getting involved in his schemes." Kara folded her arms behind the screens and rolled her eyes "Where's Peter?" She asked slamming the glass with an open palm, it cracked but didn't break.
"What a bunch of assholes, send all five the Kyln" Denarian Saal ordered as the group was put into transport to prison.
At the Kyln Peter and Kara stayed closed to each other when they could, Peter pushed in when one of the guards started to play with his Walkman. Kara grabbed the bars and screamed "Don't you touch him!" Before feeling a violent shock to her back as the two fell to the ground.
Everyone was stripped, cleaned and dried separately and given their jump suits and sent to their cells. Kara spent most of her time with Rocket going over a plan to escape the prison and laughing at Peter for pining after Gamora.
The escape was organized and laid out mostly by Rocket but Kara knew she could get the device from a guards wrist without killing him, unlike Gamora who'd probably enjoy doing it at least thats what the two thought before the raccoon let the group know what they needed and Groot ripped it from the wall.
"I'm on drone duty!" Kara shouted as Peter and Gamora ran off to get the needed parts, she leapt around the cell block swatting drones from the sky until they got into the tower and made their escape from prison, Peter split off for his Walkman as Kara guided Rocket, Groot, Drax and Gamora to the ship but once they were inside the ship Kara jumped into the pilots seat before tossing a pair of women's underwear to the side "I told him to stop taking his hook ups to the front of the ship" she grumbled before Rocket started to grumble "How's he gonna get back to us?" "He declined to share that information with me" Gamora replied before Rocket leaned forward, and said "screw this! I'm not waiting around for some Humie with a death wish" Which was met with a quick turn of the head from Kara "You still got the orb right?" Rocket asked Gamora who checked the bag and realized it wasn't there "Regardless I'm not leaving him, and this is MY ship" Kara said leaning back in her seat, she knew he'd pull through soon.
Peter was quick to get the walkman back and return to the ship, Gamora and Drax got him from the airlock as Kara took a peek back and smirked before her and Rocket took off away from the Kiln. "This one shows spirit, he will make a keen ally in the battle against Ronan. Companion, what were you retrieving?" Drax asked as Peter handed him the Walkman. The Kylosian looked down and up to Star Lord and stared blankly "He's an imbecile"
