The prophecy of the guardian of Silver light
The ghost of lost light,
a guardian of a world unknown,
the guardian of Silver light
shall come into his own.
The darkness shall come in gladness
And shards shall pierce the wound
They will stop at nothing
To bring the silver lights doom
His world shall be refound,
his broken mind restored,
the birds shall echo golden
at the silver guardians return.
And the darkness shall flee and pray
when the silver light returns,
but all will look in sadness
as their world shines and burns
The infinite forest, Mercury 25 years ago
Osiris the warlock and his ghost Sagira walked through the infinite forest, the infinite first itself was a giant computer simulation and Osiris used this to help predict hundred of possible outcomes and tried his best to find the best one. However the Vex panoptes were also trying to use it to find a perfect world for the Vex. the Vex(in short) were time traveling robots.
Osiris was a legendary warlock who was exiled from the city due to his predictions, "so where do we go now?" Sagira asked, "and it better not be somewhere we get shot at", Osiris chuckled, "with our luck we will probably get shot at" Osiris said light-heartedly. Despite the multiple enemies the Infinite forest could summon at any time, the Infinite forest itself was beautiful, there were islands and spires in the sky, and obelisks that held portals to other possible futures.
To study all of these Osiris created golden clones of himself known as reflections, they could multiply themselves in order to study new possible futures that occur, then they would report back to Osiris. Like one was doing now, he appeared beside the two, panting as if he had just run a marathon.
"What is it?" Osiris asked, the reflection raised one hand telling him to wait till he caught his breath, "there was a-a" he paused for a minute, he might need to emphasize whatever it was. "there was a big explosion" the reflection said, that didn't sound big enough, "allow me to start again" the reflection added, "a Huge explosion occurred in one of the portals", "really?!" Osiris and sagira said simultaneously. "it collapsed the entire pillar that the portal was linked to" the Reflection replied.
"What happened after the 'HUGE explosion'" Sagira asked almost enthusiastically, "all that was left was the island it was standing on" the reflection replied to the ghost "and on it is a piece of the Traveller", Osiris's eyes went wide at his reflections words, and he immediately got out his time traveling portal summoning device(i don't know what it's called so let's call it a TTPS for short) and summoned a portal to the right coordinates.
When he arrived at the island there were multiple reflections around, all looking around a rock at the centre of the island, "what's going on here!" Osiris called out to the cluster of reflections, they all parted to let osiris through. Most Reflections whispered to each other or muttered to themselves, probably about what the strange rock was. It had a powder white smooth on one side but was jagged on the other side like it had been taken out of a mountain or something, on the jagged side were machine parts of unknown origins.
No one knows where the travel originated from or why it came to earth, but it was known that it was a machine, despite looking like a planet, it chose humanity as it's champions to protect all from the darkness that constantly follows it.
Osiris bent down, Sagira hovered over his left shoulder, "excuse me while i take a scan" the little ghost said as she scanned the rock while flying around it, "well?" Osiris asked, "alright alright don't rush me" Sagira retorted. After a minute she finished, "yup it's definitely a piece of the traveller" she proclaimed, "must have gotten blasted when the traveller sacrificed itself in the golden age" Osiris said to himself out loud.
"Then how come it just arrived?" one of the reflections asked, it was a good question, "must have landed into a vex time portal and was sent all the way here" Osiris said, "well what do we do with it?" Another reflection asked. Osiris was about to answer when a digital spectrum appeared all around them, Osiris immediately knew what it was, "prepare for battle!" He ordered pulling out his scout rifle.
Vex units(Goblins, Hobgoblins, Harpy's) appeared around them, and immediately started firing pot shots at the Reflections, who fired back, "i think they are here for the rock" Sagira said helpfully as Osiris fired his rifle, "well why else would they be here for" Osiris asked then threw a fireblast using the dawnblade warlock melee ability, swift strike and incinerated 3 vex, 2 goblins and a harpy.
One vex shot the rock and it cracked slightly, in the intensity of the battle osiris didn't see it, "why are we always getting into gunfights?" Sagira asked as she ducked and dodged blasts, "just stop being in the open" Osiris suggested, Sagira heeded this and transmitted into Osiris's body. Osiris slid behind a block of cover that was on the island, he then threw a solar grenade at some vex near a tree.
By now the vex and the reflections of osiris had pushed each other onto either side of the island, "that's it i'm finishing this!" Osiris said jumping up from cover and using the attunement of sky dawnblader daybreaker ability to summon a sword of solar energy, while flying. When he slashed the sword at the vex he sent a crescent wave of solar energy in the direction of the slash and incinerated the vex.
Some decided to retreat and so teleported away to who knows where, Osiris glided down to the ground and addressed his reflections "everyone accounted for?" he asked, every reflection was accounted for, Sagira appeared and flew towards the rock, "osiris it's cracked" she said, Osiris bent down to have a look at the crack, the reflections, some flying others crouched and the rest stood around and waited.
The Crack was glowing and radiating the travelers light which all guardians used, it was the traveler's gift to humanity, guardians used the light in battle and the ghost used it to revive their guardians, long story short, guardians were immortal. Then the crack became larger and the light more intense, Osiris recoiled as did many of his reflections, the crack spread around the traveller shard, and the light with it.
Then it simply exploded in a small flash and fist sized rock flew everywhere, everyone had to duck and dodge as the rocks were blasted everywhere, there was a good small crater where the shard used to be from the concussion grenade like blast. Osiris stepped forward and looked into the crater.
His and sagira's eyes widened (well Sagira's eyes appeared to widen as the ghost shell formed the expression of one), there was an unusual creature in the crater, very small and asleep, Osiris cocked his head to one side in confusion as he moved closer to it and bent down. *SNORE* Osiris and his reflections jumped back at the sudden sound of the creature, then they realized it was snoring, Osiris began to laugh, then the creature stopped snoring and blurrily opened its eyes.
It looked up at Osiris, and got onto its hands and knees, "well hello there" Osiris said to the creature, in the turn the creature cocked it's head to the side. It was an unusual creature, not eliksni nor cabal, and obviously not one of the known subspecies of humanity, E.G Human, Exo, Awoken.
It had light grey, almost white, fur with pure white fur on its chest, it's eyes were somewhat golden and it had a furry head crest of 5 spikes pointing backwards, as well as some more on the back of it's head. "Aw it's so cute," Sagira said, coming close to it, the small thing which everyone assumed was a child, looked at a sagira and reached for her. "What do we do with..it" one of the reflections asked Osiris, Osiris looked at the child who, to everyone's surprise, had got up onto its feet and was running after Sagira, giggling all the time.
"We keep it" Osiris said, walking up and picking up the child and placing it in his arms, "ahhh he has his mothers looks'' Sagira quipped as she thought that her shell looked very similar to the kids head crest, "he?" Osiris asked, "well it is a boy hedgehog I scanned" Sagira explained "the DNA matches with that of golden age files on Hedgehogs''. "Well what do we name him?" another reflection asked, Osiris looked at the young creature and a name popped into his head.
"Silver" Osiris said, "Silver the hedgehog".
Some months later
Osiris was working in his workshop in the infinite forest, he was experimenting with radiolarium on the Vexbody, as well as studying the vex body in general, Radiolarium was occasionally called Vex milk due to it being the exact same color and texture as milk, except that it could send multiple electric shocks in a body if touched. Sagira was playing with the young Silver in his little very luxurious cot. "Sagira could you hand me a HC-099 socket wrench?" Osiris asked, "no problem" Sagira said then set to work looking for it.
Silver however noticed the wrench next to his cot, Osiris continued to work on the Vex goblin body when the handle of the wrench was handed to him, he took it in his right hand, "thanks Sagira" Osiris said, "your welcome" Sagira said appearing on his left side. The opposite side the wrench was handed to him from. "But-" Osiris said, looking to the right and noticed a floating vex eye, Osiris dropped the wrench and walked over, the eye was covered in an azure blue force field around it.
When he looked in the cot he saw that the child's hands had azure blue circles on the palms and they were glowing blue, "he's a telekinetic!" Sagira exclaimed, "perhaps it is time we go see my brother about this" Osiris said after a moment's thought.
The lighthouse Mercury
Osiris arrived from the portal that allowed guardians in and out of the infinite forest to mercury itself, Osiris was carrying Silver with a woolen cloth around him, Sagira was at his shoulder. "Ah Brother" Said Osiris exo brother Saint-14, in the tower he directed the trials of Osiris like Shaxx did in the crucible matches. "Hello Saint" Osiris said, giving his titan brother a hug, Osiris then greeted his fellow warlock and pupil Ikora, the warlock member of the Vanguard, one of the leaders of the guardians.
"It's good to see you Osiris" Ikora said, "and you Ikora" Osiris replied solemnly, "so why have you called us here brother" Saint-14 asked, "it's about-him" Osiris said showing them Silver, the two goggled at it, "oh my god" Ikora mouthed as she bent down to get a better look at the child. "Meet your new nephew Saint" Osiris quipped, "isn't he cute" Sagira said.
Osiris then explained how he found him, and about his powers, proof was not needed as Silver lifted up an eavesdropping Cabal psion with his psychokinesis, that Psion then decided to fled the scene and 25 years later tried to kill commander zavala with a knife at a cabal peace conference, that attempt failed and peace was still made. But at present it was a nagging concern that if the Vex tried to take the traveller shard by force.
"They will be back and if they don't come one day something worse will" Osiris explained, "we need to find somewhere safe for him to live", "well i'll see what i can find in the archives of the golden age" Ikora said, "and i'll listen and learn what i can from guardians in the trials" Saint-14 said. "Thank you both" Osiris said, then he noticed a vex hobgoblin on a structure nearby, "look out!" He exclaimed, the other 2 looked and took cover, both pulling out their weapons, the hobgoblin continued to take shots at them, Saint-14 fired a shot from his pulse rifle and killed it, other Vex then appeared, "great an ambush" Sagira said sarcastically.
"Go we will hold them off" Ikora said through a void sphere using the warlock voidwalker ability nova bomb, it exploded and disintegrated a large chunk of the Vex forces, this time however they had three minotaurs in their ranks and 2 hydra's. Osiris ran into the portal and disappeared.
2 years later
2 weeks after the attack Silver had begun to walk all by himself, Saint had given him a little pendant with an eagle head, but both he and Ikora spoke nothing of Silver, finally 2 years after Silvers birth. Then Ikora found something, "It's an old golden age file on a lost planet" Ikora explained while handing a digital tablet to Osiris, Silver was running after Sagira in an attempt to catch her, "these cooridance are in the next door solar system if i'm not mistaken" Osiris said, "indeed, i asked Eris to check it out and she found what we were looking for" Ikora replied.
"A new planet" Saint proclaimed, "or rather rediscovered an old one", "the cooridiance in the tablet, you can leave any time" Ikora added, "so Eris morn knows?" Osiris said, "indeed, she can keep a secret" Ikora said, Osiris nodded then turned to the portal to the infinite forest, "Sagira!" he called over his shoulder, "Coming coming, jeez" Sagira complained with Silver riding on her shell then Jumped onto Osiris' shoulder.
Once in the infinite forest Osiris used a device he used to open portals to time zones from the infinite forest and back, he entered the cordance and found the correct portal in the infinite forest, so now they waited for their reflections to meet in front of a portal. Silver was playing with some old golden age lego bricks, and was at the moment finishing making a lego bird statue, "he has good taste" Sagira complemented, Osiris chuckled.
It was then that his reflections arrived, "we are here Osiris is it true you have found a new home for Silver" one of them asked, "yes and this is it" Osiris replied gesturing to the portal, "this is it". "Why summon us though" another one asked bending down to look at Silver as he levitated a group of lego bricks with his psychokinesis, "because i need to find a good timeline to place him" Osiris explained, they all knew what he meant, if they make a mistake it could be catastrophic.
The infinite forest only simulated events and possible outcomes Osiris had found a way to access these, if they played it right they could keep the child safe without affecting the timeline.
2 weeks later
It had been to weeks of searching for the right timeline and yet nothing, Osiris had cursed in the egyptian tongue before continuing with Silver in his arms, "what about this one" Sagira asked, gesturing to a sub-portal and scanning it, "nevermind" Sagira then said. Osiris sighed in disappointment, then 3 reflections appeared before him, "i think we found something" the lead one said, "show me" Osiris ordered while raising his arm in front of him, the reflection did the same and the flat of the hands connected.
Osiris received a vision from the reflection showing that they found a sub portal to a perfect timeline on the unknown Planet, apparently Eris didn't set one foot on the planet since it was unlikely that it was aware of the next door solar system. Osiris' reflections secretly explored the timeline and Osiris agreed that it was perfect.
Osiris arrived at the portal with all of his other reflections present to say their final goodbye to Silver, "this is it little light" Osiris said to Silver who looked back at him curiously, "maybe one day we will find him again and you will be part of the last city". Osiris was about to step through the portal when a blast of icy wind sent him stumbling, he looked behind him as Vex appeared out of nowhere, "hold them off" one reflection said, firing a golden beam at them.
Then behind the horde of Vex, the corridor cracked and shattered and in its place 2 clouds of blue and red smoke turned into 2 strange creatures, "oh that is not good" Sagira said as she ducked behind Osiris, Osiris gave Silver to a reflection, "keep him safe" osiris said grabbing his rifle and firing it at the vex. "Why can't we ever take a break from being shot at by time traveling robots with milk for brains" Sagira complained, then an explosion blew up and destroyed a large chunk of Osiris reflections.
Osiris looked to find one of the creature similar to Silver but bigger and possibly a full grown, another blast this time of ice froze and shattered multiple Reflection this one from the other creature, Osiris backed up with the reflection holding Silver in its arms, while the rest of the reflections held back the vex "that power it must be of the darkness" Osiris whispered to Sagira, "you sure?" Sagira said skeptically, "if Silver was made with the travellers light then the darkness might be able to do the same it's the only explanation I can think of" Osiris explained.
"give him to us" the first one demanded, it was red with black crusty areas all along it's person and sounded female, "Whoever you are no i will no" Osiris replied, "your in no position old man" the second one this time a blue male with the black crust like substance as well. "Why do you want him?" Osiris asked, "that is none of your business but know this" the blue one said, "the darkness will return and your salvation will be at hand", "So they are off the darkness" Osiris thought, "yeah sorry i know we seem like crazy people but trust us we are" Sagira quipped and Osiris formed his dawnblader Sword and slashed at both creatures, "Get Silver to safety" Osiris ordered the reflection.
The Reflection in turn dived through the portal, "no!" The blue creature yelled defiantly to duck past Osiris, leaving the red female to deal with osiris, "brother" she calls out, But osiris sends a sol wave from his sword at the gate. The dark creature disappeared into the portal but the wave hit on side of it, somehow destroying it completely, this destabilized the entire portal and it began to spark and glitch.
The Vex and Reflections stopped fighting as the entire cavern began to rumble, "what have you done?" the red creature demanded, "I'm with her, what did you do?" Sagira asked worried, "before the reflections arrived i destabilize the portals so I can destroy it when Silver left though I would have preferred to be outside the portal when I did" osiris explains, "Silver will make it but the blue creature will be thrown off course i made careful calculations", "well impressive in that little amount of time and i'm not gonna ask how you did it since it's for the plot" Sagira said while thinking, "you got some of your reflections to do it didn't you" then said, "but did you think about the fact that if the portal is destroyed then we won't be able to find Silver?".
Osiris looked sheepish, he hadn't then the entire corridor began to crack and splinter, "we need to get out of here" one of his reflections said, the orange female creature turned itself into a black cloud and fled, Osiris got out his portal creating device and created a new sub portal for him to escape.
Once outside he witnessed the entire pillar collapse and crumble to dust, a dust cloud covered a good clear mile of the infinite forest, Osiris waved the dust away, a reflection teleported beside him. "We lost many reflections in that" he said, "it'll take a while to remake others, but the Vex have been destroyed", "good the portal should have deteriorated enough to let Silver and the reflection through but will trap the creature in time, eventually he should die as all things do".
A laugh came from the rubble, it was a female one and a weak one but a defiant one, osiris walked towards the source of the laughing and it turned out to be from the female creature, Osiris stood over her. She was trapped under a pile of rubble and there was even a shard of pointed rock in her stomach and shoulder, looking closer there was no mouth on the creature, and Osiris decided to question it, "who are you?" Osiris demanded, "i am Iblis one of the solaris twins" the creature demanded, Osiris's eyes widened.
There were rumours that there was a creature called Solaris that was born from darkness and solar energy that was split into 2, "you want to know why we are after Silver?" Iblis continued mockingly "well the darkness will return and the silver light shall be extinguished, even if i and my brother, mephiles die, we will remanifest as one wherever we want, and one day we will be seperated, and your son shall suffer" Osiris had had enough he summoned his dawnblader sword and stabbed Iblis, her body quickly incinerated from the solar energy.
Unknown location a white digital void
The blue creature known as Mephile awoke in a white void, this must have been the space in between the different realities that the portal lead to, "clever move warlock" Mephile complemented, then a red sphere appeared in front of him, "ah Sister, let us join once again" Mephiles said to the red sphere, "yes brother lets and we can claim salvation for the darkness" Iblis said.
"The darkness..huh" Mephiles scoffed as the 2 began to fuse, "the darkness abandoned us when it fled, and we have been in the travelers light weakened for eons both separate and combined" If Iblis could respond she would have disagreed but her consciousness was somehow changing into something primal something animal. It was mephile!, he was turning her into nothing more than a monster, "i can not have you interfere with my plans so" the 2 finally fused to become the god Solaris, born of darkness and the solar power of the travelers light. "And I will be the only god they will serve" Solaris said as he teleported to who knows where.
