'Hey, is that true that it's not the first time Dr B punched a suspect?' asked Aubrey galping in a second sandwich.

It was a late evening and the case was finally over, Booth's hand was cramping, just as he predicted, after his ferocious wife punched the son of a bitch of a suspect, to be honest, if it wouldn't be her, it would be him. The menenist guy clearly deserved it and even though Booth hated the paperwork that followed, seeing his Bones all worked up and a little wild always made him secretly happy and to be quite frank, turned him on just a tiny bit, OK, maybe a little more than a bit. Not that he would ever share this information with anybody but Bones, definitely not with Aubrey. Once upon a time he called her a wild tiger, rare and beautiful and that was the truth. She was a force of nature he loved with all his heart and he was one lucky man that this force chose to love him back.

'Well, yeah, you know Bones, she doesn't intimidate easily,' he smirked a little.

'Yeah, wow, but still, she could have gotten into a trouble!'

'Oh, yeah, she did, many times. In fact during our very first case, she punched someone and I had to fire her,' now this was just a beloved memory, but at that time Booth had no idea what this woman will bring to his life. Fate, he still believed in it.

'You fired your own wife?' asked Aubrey, his dark eyes widened in horror. He knew Booth and Brennan not so long as most of their team, but he found it hard to believe that Booth would do that. After all, their relationship was a legendary gossip among the FBI, true love as everyone called it. He read the book that Sweets wrote for them and even now wasn't sure why it took so long for these two people to get married if it was clear to everyone that they were destined for each other.

'Well, to be fair she wasn't my wife at that time, but, yeah, you see I had no choice. And boy, was she mad at me, wouldn't speak to me for a year.'

'I can imagine that!'

'And it wasn't the only time! I lost count how many times I had to stop the suspects to harm her, but she just does it anyway!' he couldn't help but smirk. It was weird, but he found her extremely hot during those moments, the same way he did during their very first case.

'Is it me or you enjoy this a little too much?' asked Aubrey suspiciously.

'You know what, Aubrey, I think it's time for me to get home, before Bones punches somebody else, besides we have a Flyers game tonight.'

'You didn't answer my question, Agent Booth.'

'Bye, Aubrey!'
