Welcome to this new story! This came into my head a while ago and I just wanted to write it! In this story Izuku gains a quirk that is like the powers of the various Lantern Corps from the D.C. verse but with my own flair to them. I loved the Lantern Corps with Green Lantern being one of the first hero comics that I had read. So I love the idea of having Izuku with the powers of each Lantern Corps. I hope that you like how I go with it but if you don't then you don't have to read but please don't leave me a flaming review.
I do not own My Hero Academia. I only own the manga of My Hero Academia that I bought with my own money. This story is just for fun and I am not making any money off this project.

Chapter 1: Awakening
(Musutafu/Ten Months before Entrance Exams)
Izuku Midoriya wasn't having a good day. Scratch that, he hasn't been having a good life. For the past ten years since he was classified as quirkless almost everyone has been looking down on him. Izuku lives in a world filled with people with great powers but he was born without any. It also didn't help that one of his childhood friends soon became his main bully for these past ten years. Katsuki had been a constant cause of pain and suffering since Izuku was diagnosed as quirkless. With his over inflated ego and his powerful explosion quirk, which Katsuki used on Izuku to an almost daily basis, he looked to Izuku like the boy was a pebble to be stepped on and crushed under his boot.
But thankfully for Izuku he had two people in his life so far that believe in him. One is his mother Inko Midoriya, ever since Izuku's father left the two she had worked herself to the bone day in and day out to support Izuku. Working at the local hospital as a nurse or as a part-time model with her best friend and almost sister Mitsuki Bakugo helped to put food on the table for her and her son. She is Izuku's rock in this dark life that he has lived.
The other person is Katsumi Bakugo the twin younger sister of Katsuki Bakugo. While Katsumi has a temper like her brother and mother, she has a better level of control of her temper. Katsumi has tried to control her brother, but the boy has a very thick skull that won't change no matter what. Katsumi has been Izuku's symbol of Strength and Valor that always had his back.
Izuku has wanted to be a hero for so long but when he was labeled as quirkless, most gave up on him. But he hasn't let that stop him. He would be a hero, like All Might always smiling and being there to save the day. However, even Izuku has his limits. And one of them was broken today by Katsuki.
Earlier that day Izuku's teacher had the class fill out career forms and then told the class that Izuku had applied to UA High to try and get into the Hero course. Of course, Katsuki went nuclear when he heard that. It also didn't help that after class Katsuki had cornered Izuku and burned one of his quirk journals right in front of him. But the worst part was when Katsuki said this.
"Fucking Deku! You are just a fucking pebble! Something for me to step on and crush into dust! You are and always will be a quirkless, useless freak! You will never be a hero without power! If you want to be a hero so badly, then take a swan dive off a building and pray for a quirk in the next life!"
Izuku couldn't believe that Katsuki said that to him. But it just proved to Izuku that Katsuki doesn't know what a true hero is. A hero is someone that inspires people and saves them no matter what, not someone that tries to convince another person to commit suicide.
"Idiot. What would he do if I actually did that? Scoff, he would most likely laugh at my corpse. Day in and day out I deal with him. Sometimes I just want it to stop but I know that Katsuki won't stop anytime soon." Said Izuku as he walked to his home.
Izuku made his way towards an underpass since his normal route was damaged that morning due to a villain attack that was stopped by a new heroine named Mt Lady. While she did her job of stopping the villain, she could have used a bit more finesse with it as well. Izuku was now walking in the underpass and was muttering to himself.
"If I had a quirk, even if it was like moms, I know that I could do great things with it. But just because I don't have one doesn't mean that I will let that stop me. I will be a hero like All Might, always smiling in the face of danger." Said Izuku with a smile on his face.
But just then his day was about to get a whole lot worse.
"Well, well. A mid-level meat shield. You'll do nicely, enough to help me get away from him!" said a vile voice from behind Izuku.
Izuku turned around to the voice to find himself engulfed by a sludge like body. Izuku tried to cry out but the sludge was already in his mouth and was going down his throat. Izuku clawed at the sludge, doing everything that he could to get it out of him but to no avail.
"Haha! Its no use kid! You won't be able to get that out of you. But don't worry, it will only hurt for a few seconds. After that, you won't feel a thing ever again!" said the sludge villain with a wide grin on his face.
Izuku began to cry. Was this really the end? Is this where he was going to die?
"No. This can't be how it ends. Please, someone, anyone, help." Thought Izuku as he tried to save his own life.
The light in Izuku's eyes began to dim. His eyelids became heavier and heavier as they got harder to keep open. His strength was wanning, and his life began to flash before his eyes. He began to feel deaths embrace coming for him. But it would be in that very moment that everything changed for Izuku.
Izuku's eyes snapped wide open with nine colors swirling in the iris' of his eyes. White, Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, Orange and final Black. These lights erupted from Izuku forcing the sludge out of him and blasting the villain into a splatter everywhere in the underpass. Izuku landed on the ground of the underpass unconscious unaware of the small changes that happened to him.
Just then a giant of a man with large muscles and a bright smile came out of the sewers to find the scene before him. All Might was surprised to see the sludge villain in pieces around the underpass and an unconscious teenager in the epicenter of the carnage.
"Did the boy do this? Most likely in self-defense. I better collect the villain before he wakes up from this." Thought All Might as he works to get the villain cleaned up.
Once the villain was safely contained in two soda bottles that he was carrying, All Might went over to the downed teen and began to wake the boy.
"Hey! Time to wake up young man." Said All Might as he lightly slapped the boy in his cheek.
Izuku stirred from unconsciousness a moment later. He went wide eye at seeing All Might, his idol and favorite hero.
"A-All M-Might?! Oh wow it is you! Did you save me from the villain? Thank you!" said Izuku as he began to get up off the ground.
All Might was confused by that thou. Didn't this teenager deal with the villain?
"While I am glad to see that you are okay young man. I was not the one who dealt with the villain. He was already dealt with by the time I got here. I had assumed that you had defeated the villain with your quirk in self-defense." Said All Might.
Izuku was wide eye at that. "Quirk? But-but I'm quirkless. I don't have a quirk."
All Might raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you fingers like they are?" he pointed to Izuku's fingers.
Izuku looked down at his fingers and his eyes widened once again in shock. Nine of his ten fingers were now changed! Out of them all only his right thumb was normal. His right index finger was green, right middle finger was red, right ring finger was yellow and right pinky finger was violet. His left thumb was white, left index finger was blue, left middle was orange, left ring was indigo and left pinky was black.
"Wha-what? What is this? What happened to my fingers?! Where did this come from?!" Izuku began to panic. He was hyperventilating at what he was seeing.
All Might saw the look of panic in the boys eyes. Did this boy really just unlock his quirk today? That would explain a lot but that would have to be put on the back burner.
"Easy young man. Just take a deep breath and…." Said All Might as he tried to calm Izuku down but suddenly the boy falls over in a slump. "That is not good. I best take him to Recovery Girl. If his quirk really awakened today she would know more then most."
All Might lifts Izuku up and jumps into the air. It would take a bit of energy he would make it to UA to his doctor. All Might left the sludge villain in the underpass in the bottles but contacted his friend Naomasa to have him pick the villain up before he escaped. Thankfully the police were able to contain the villain before that happened.
(UA High School)
Recovery Girl was drinking some tea when the door to her office was opened. From it came a skeleton of a man with blonde hair and blue eyes carrying a teenager with green hair over his shoulders. She sighed in exacerbation at seeing him.
"Oh Toshi. What did you do this time?" asked Chiyo.
"Nothing. At least not at this time. I am here for your help with something else." Said Toshinori Yagi as he placed Izuku on a nearby bed.
Chiyo lifted an eyebrow at the boy. "Who is that? And why did you bring him here?"
"This is Izuku Midoriya. I got his name from his student I.D. in his wallet. I had found him unconscious in what looked like the epicenter of a blast with a villain made of sludge around him. Once I was able to wake him he said a few things that didn't make any sense. He then passed out once again and I thought it best to bring him here." Said Toshinori.
Chiyo walks over to the boy and begins to check him over for any injuries. "What was it that made you bring him to me?"
"He at first thanked me for saving him but I corrected him and said that I didn't. I thought that the boy with his quirk defeated the villain." Said Toshinori.
"And what is wrong with that?" asked Chiyo.
"The boy told me that he was quirkless. That he didn't have a quirk. When he noticed his fingers, he freaked out and passed out once again which is when I brought him here." Said Toshinori.
Chiyo was surprised to hear that. She looked at the boys fingers and found that they were different colors with his right thumb being the only one that was normal.
"Give me a few moments. I need to check something." Said Chiyo.
Toshinori nods his head and sits in a nearby chair and waits for her to finish whatever it was that she needed to do. While Toshinori was waiting he grabbed one of Izuku's notebooks, wanting to sign the book as a small present for the boy when he wakes up. But as he reads the book he was impressed with the details of the notes the boy had taken. It had clear and clean notes on how to make different quirks stronger and even how to neutralize them if need be. Toshinori was so into the book that he didn't see nor hear the door open near him until a voice broke him out of it.
"Hello Toshinori." Said the voice.
Toshinori looked over to see a small chimera like animal in a suit walking towards him.
"Nezu sir. I am not surprised that you knew that I was here." Said Toshinori.
"Of course! I know everything in this school. But I must wonder why did you bring this young man to my school?" asked Nezu as he drank some tea,
Toshinori explained the events that lead him to bringing young Midoriya to UA which made the chimera nod his head.
"Understandable. But I am curious. Why now did his quirk awaken?" wondered Nezu.
"Because his quirk needed the right stimulus to activate." Said Chiyo as she walked over to the two.
"What do you mean Chiyo?" asked Toshinori.
"You know the term fundamentally quirkless correct?" asked Chiyo.
"Of course. It means that one does have a quirk, but that person would need a certain outside factor to make the quirk work. Much like how a person with a copy quirk must copy another quirk before they can use it. In that situation, they are quirkless until they can copy a quirk." Said Nezu.
"Correct. It seems that Young Midoriya did have a quirk for years now but if wasn't able to activate until today due to an outside stimulus. But I can't tell what that stimulus is." said Chiyo.
The adults were silent for a moment until the sound of a phone went off. They realized that it was Izuku's phone and answered for him. Nezu answered the phone which was Inko on the other end. The chimera principal told the crying mother that her son was okay and was at the UA infirmary being checked over by Recovery Girl. Inko was asked to come over to see her son which she will and would be there as soon as she could.
While they waited Toshinori showed Nezu the notebooks that Izuku had on hand. The chimera was impressed with what he saw in them. Nezu had a wide grin on his face as he read each page and note, leaving a few mental notes in his head for later.
About an hour later one Inko Midoriya came into the room with a tired looking man right behind her. Inko is a slim woman with green hair and eyes. When she saw her son on the bed asleep she dashed to him and hugged Izuku's sleeping form. She let out a few tears to know that he was safe but was also worried for her son all the same.
"Thank you for bringing miss Midoriya here Aizawa." Said Nezu.
"Sure. But I have to ask why is he here?" asked Aizawa as he looked at the sleeping boy.
"All Might brought him here after he collapsed in shock when his quirk showed itself." Said Toshinori.
Aizawa was curious about that. Most late bloomers would gain their quirks at five or six years old with eight being the latest on record. So why now after ten years did this boys quirk wake up now?
"Is my son alright?" asked Inko.
"He is in good health deary. He is just asleep. He should wake up by the morning." Said Chiyo.
Inko smiled at the older woman. "Thank you Recovery Girl."
"You are most welcome." Answered Chiyo with a grandmother smile.
Nezu walked over to the woman and shook her hand. "Greetings Miss Midoriya. My name is Nezu we spoke on the phone."
"Thank you for telling me that my son was here Nezu sir." Said Inko.
"You are most welcome." Said Nezu. He then gestured to Toshinori. "And this is Toshinori Yagi, a secretary of All Might. All Might sent Toshinori to make sure that Young Midoriya was okay since All Might was needed elsewhere."
Inko turned to the man and smiled at him. "Thank you for coming and please give All Might my thanks for saving my son."
Toshinori smiled at the mother. "You are most welcome, and I will pass on your message."
Just then Izuku opened his eyes to the shock of the group.
"Izuku! Thank goodness that you are okay." Said Inko.
Izuku looked to his mother but his eyes were different. Normally they would be green in color, right now they were Indigo.
"My apologize. But I am not Izuku." Said 'Izuku.'
Aizawa and Toshinori became tense when they heard that with Aizawa about to use his quirk and weapon on the being that was inside of Izuku while Toshinori was about to buff up in front of Inko if it meant to protect her and try to help get this being out of her son.
Inko was wide eye at when her son said that. That was not her babies voice. "Who-who are you? Where is my baby?!"
"Please be at peace. He is in his mind speaking with the others. I merely came to you to give each of you some peace of mind and to answer the questions that you have." Said 'Izuku.'
"Can you start with who you are and why you are in young Midoriya?" asked Nezu.
"That is fair. I am one of nine aspects of Izuku's quirk. You may call me Indigo." Answered Indigo.
"Nine aspects? So you are a sentient quirk. That is very rare." Said Nezu.
"In a certain form yes. While we won't be as active with Izuku as other sentient quirks would be, I and the others will help him understand the powers that come with his quirk." Said Indigo.
The adults relaxed when Indigo said that. Inko stepped forward to her son's body and spoke.
"Is he in any danger?" asked Inko.
"No. Right now he is talking with the other aspects to get an idea on how and why his quirk took so long to manifest." Said Indigo. Inko sighed in relief that Izuku was okay.
"I am curious about that as well. Why did it take ten years for you and the others to fully manifest for Midoriya?" asked Aizawa.
"Actually, his quirk had begun to manifest on the day of his birth. However, Izuku would need to experience nine different factors before we could awaken within him." Said Indigo.
"And what are these factors?" asked Chiyo.
"Emotions and different parts of life itself. Izuku first encountered the power of The White Light on the day of his birth by being born. The White Light is Life itself and White was first born with Izuku." Said Indigo. He then looked to Inko and smiled. "Thru you Inko, Violet and myself were born with Love and Compassion. Violet is the Light of Love and Joy while my Light of Indigo is the Light of Compassion and Kindness."
Inko let out a few tears when she heard that. There were times that she felt like a failure for her son when his quirk didn't manifest years ago. But to hear that she did help with his quirk made her heart soar.
"The next few lights were born due to All Might." Said Indigo. Toshinori perked up when he heard that as did Nezu and Chiyo. "All Might's bright smile and unwavering will gave birth to the Lights of Hope and Will within Izuku. The Blue Light of Hope and the Green Light of Will burn brightly within him. They each grew stronger as he watched All Might save the day with that smile on his face along with Izuku's own drive to be a hero."
Toshinori smiled brightly when he heard that. To hear that his actions had helped someone when they were in their own darkness for so long gave him a small amount of hope that he had lost years ago. Aizawa rolled his eyes when he heard that, but he knew that the blonde knuckle head was the best at giving people hope. But he frowned when he saw that Indigo looked down. Almost like he didn't like what he was about to say.
"The next few lights, while necessary for Izuku to unlock his quirk, were unlocked in ways that even the very aspects didn't like." Said Indigo.
"What do you mean?" asked Chiyo.
Indigo sighed. "The Yellow Light of Fear. That was born in Izuku thanks to Katsuki Bakugo on the day that he began to bully and torment Izuku. Katsuki was also the one who brought the Red Light of Rage and the Orange Light of Greed into existence within Izuku."
"Rag-rage and Greed?! But my baby never!" started Inko.
"Inko." Said Indigo as he stopped Izuku's mother. "You know that is a lie. You have seen those two and the look of fear in Izuku's eyes a few times. Being around other people with great power and yet you don't have any. Would anyone blame a child to feel a little angry or jealous and want what others have?"
Inko cried a bit more at that. She did see those looks in her babies eyes. The look of anger in her son's eyes when he saw the other kids play with their quirks. The want in them to have his own and the looks of fear when Izuku would come home at times. She knew that it wasn't easy for her son, but it seems to have been worse then she thought.
The other adults were also frowning when they heard that. They couldn't blame a child, a quirkless child at that, if they were jealous of the other children or people around him for not having a quirk. Aizawa also knew what that was like. Most didn't believe that his quirk was good enough to be used in hero work but at least he had a quirk. He worked hard to prove to others that he could and would be a hero with his quirk.
"What is the last one? You have told us about eight of the nine colors on Midoriya's hand. What is black since that one seems to have activated today." Nezu asked Indigo.
"The Black Light of Death." Answered Indigo. Inko felt her heart almost stop when she heard that. Did her baby die? She could never take that kind of answer. But she was relieved when Indigo spoke up. "While Izuku didn't die, he needed to feel and be close to death for the last light to activate. Today when he was attacked by the Sludge Villain he felt Death's embrace long enough for his quirk to finally activate letting him survive his encounter with the villain."
The adults were silent as they took everything that they heard in. To think that it took Midoriya this long to unlock his quirk while a little ridiculous, it did make sense in certain ways.
"So, what can this quirk do?" asked Nezu.
"The powers of The Light Spectrum or merely Spectrum vary. But they allow Izuku to make constructs out of light with his imagination being the key to using them. He can even use the different powers to heal wounds that he sustained or even others as well. He can also share his power to others temporarily as a kind of power boost should anyone need it. But he will need heavy amounts of training to get a good grasp on them." Said Indigo.
Inko was happy to know that her baby could help heal himself should he need it while the heroes were intrigued by what this quirk could do. But before they could get into talking about Izuku's quirk, Aizawa asked a question that had been burning in his mind when he noticed Indigo look down before.
"There is something else that you wish to tell us isn't there?" asked Aizawa. Everyone looked to Aizawa when he spoke up. "I know that look in your eyes. The look of anger and frustration. I have seen it in myself a few times and in others. What happened today other than Midoriya's quirk waking up?"
The adults turned to Indigo while the being gave a sad smile and a hollow chuckle. "Izuku was right in his notes about you Erasurehead. You are sharp. I will admit that Izuku has been under extreme pressure lately. From his teachers sabotaging his tests and records, to his fellow classmates increasing their bulling on Izuku. Add to Katsuki using his explosion quirk on Izuku on a daily basis, he had been very close to breaking into a million pieces. But today it almost broke, for good."
The adults became worried with those words. What could have happened to Izuku that he almost broke today?
"After school was let out Izuku stayed in his classroom to write in his notebook for a few minutes. Katsumi had gone home before him to get some homework done since she was having a small amount of difficulty. But just as Izuku was about to leave Katsuki showed up. Long story short, Katsuki baited Izuku into committing suicide." Said Indigo.
Inko felt her world crack at that. Mitsuki is her best friend, a sister in all but blood. To hear that Mitsuki's son was bullying and beating her son was bad enough, but to learn that Katsuki baited Izuku to kill himself, Inko's heart broke into hundreds of pieces. But before Inko could fall into that darkness, she felt her hand be taken into her son's. Inko looked to her son's eyes and saw the indigo color that showed that Indigo himself was still in command and smiled at her.
"Don't blame Mitsuki for this Inko. Izuku didn't tell you about the bullying for a reason." Said Indigo. He brought Inko into a hug which she returned. "Inko, you have given up so much to give Izuku a loving home to return to everyday from the pain that he deals with in this cruel world. You have given up so much for him, your sleep, your health, your free time and more for him. Izuku didn't want to take even more from you because of one person. You and Mitsuki are best friends and Izuku's best friend is Katsumi. He didn't want to destroy those friendships because of another. So don't blame her, she still is your friend."
Inko smiled at Indigo and held Izuku's body closer to her. While Inko held onto her son the heroes took in what they had heard. Each one was furious at what they had learned today.
Nezu kept up his smile but his tail was up straight in anger. He saw the records for Katsuki Bakugo along with his sister today and he knew that something was wrong with them. While Katsumi had a few black spots, mostly notes of her fighting with others while protecting Izuku, Katsuki had no black spots on his record and high marks in everything. But with what he learned just now he knew that he would have to take a much closer look into those records, along with all the others.
Aizawa had his eyes glow red in anger. To think that a school would go so far to make themselves look good by letting these kind of problems to occur. Oh he knew right away what Aldera was planning, it wasn't hard to figure out. They were planning on using Katsuki to make their school look better once the boy became a hero. Foolish idiots. He would have to look into that school more, there had to be more to it then what Izuku or even Indigo or the other aspects knew.
Toshinori gritted his teeth in pure fury. He knew what it was like to be quirkless when he was younger but even he never had to deal with something like this. He was fortunate to have met with Nana Shimura years ago and that she helped him to become the hero that he is today. Toshinori looked to Izuku and had to admit that the boy had strength in him to deal with all of this pain for ten years and for the good for his mother.
Inko nods her head at Indigo. "Thank you for telling me that." She then frowns a moment later. "But I still need to have a talk with Mitsuki. This is something that I can't ignore."
"I understand. I must go back to Izuku now. I can no longer remain in control of his body any longer. He will awaken in the morning with no memory of this conversation so please keep that in mind." Said Indigo. Izuku's eyes turned back to green but immediately closed with his body slumping back onto the bed.
Chiyo checked over Izuku's body to make sure that there was no changes to him since Indigo was in command of it. Inko stood up and walked over to Nezu.
"Mister Nezu. Since my son is not going to wake until morning is he going to stay here for the night?" asked Inko.
"Yes he will. If you need to leave to gather somethings from home or speak with mister Bakugo's mother you may. Use this pass so that you may return later when you are ready." Said Nezu as he handed her a temporary pass to exit and enter UA grounds.
"Thank you sir. Please excuse me." Said Inko. She then walked out of the room while she grabbed her phone. She needed to speak with her sister in all but blood.
After Inko had left the heroes began to speak.
"What are you planning in that head of yours Nezu?" asked Aizawa.
"Many things Aizawa you know that. But to answer your question, I am planning on helping young Midoriya with some of the problems that he has faced in his life. He has great potential inside of him. And I am not even looking at his quirk when I say that. Besides, his school is just holding him back from his true potential since they only see a quirkless child and not a human being." Said Nezu.
"It pains me to hear that a child had to deal with this for so long. But I agree with Nezu that something needs to be done for Young Midoriya. He shows a strong will for one so young and I agree that he has potential in being a hero. He just needs some help to bring it out." Said Toshinori.
Both Aizawa and Nezu nod their heads. Aizawa left the room shortly afterwards to go on patrol and find out more about Aldera Middle School. Should Izuku get into UA, then he would ask to be his teacher, but he wouldn't show favoritism. He would push Izuku to the breaking point and beyond for Aizawa knew that Izuku could meet it. His past shows that he can and will go beyond, plus ultra-style.
Nezu looked to Toshinori as the blonde-haired hero watched Izuku sleep. "What is on your mind Toshinori?"
Toshinori looked back to the chimera principal. "I believe that Midoriya is my successor to One For All. He is just like me in a sense. He and I faced hardship when we were younger, but I had found Nana early on and trained under her. Izuku had to face a crueler world then I did with only two people by his side. He has a strong will to help others if the fact that he hid the bullying from his mother to make sure that she kept her friendship is any proof. Plus, I know that he is the one. I am sure of it."
Nezu smiled at Toshinori as did Chiyo. "Well if that is your choice then I will stand with you Toshinori. But you should help get the boy stronger before you pass the quirk on to him." Said Nezu.
"I know. I will talk with him in the morning about it. And if he agrees then I will start his training." Said Toshinori.
"Just so that you are aware, you will not be the only one training him. I am fascinated by his mind especially his quirk analysis skills. I want to hone those skills into a sharpened blade, he just might be a principal of UA once he retires from Hero work." Said Nezu.
Toshinori nod his head at that. Izuku would need all the help that he could get since he is at such a disadvantage. Toshinori, for a slight second, even considered contacting his former teacher to help him in that endeavor while keeping a shudder down.
But that would have to wait. He still needed to talk with Izuku in the morning first.
(With Inko)
Inko was walking towards the park that she and Mitsuki first met each other years ago when they were just children. She smiled at the memories that played in her head. Of Mitsuki scaring other children away when they tried to pick on the two of them. To Mitsuki blushing like a school girl when Masaru asked her out in the park years ago. To Mitsuki consoling Inko as she cried when Hisashi left her and Izuku years ago while taking their daughter with him. Mitsuki always had Inko's back but it seems that only one of her children had Izuku's back while the other had tried to hurt him in the worst ways possible.
To Inko, Mitsuki would always be her sister. But Izuku was her son, the only blood family that she had in this world since Hisashi left with their daughter. Her light in this life. And like any mother, she would protect her child.
Even from her best friends own son.
Inko saw that Mitsuki was in the park waiting for her. Inko smiled a bit at seeing her but she knew that after tonight, things would change between the two. Even thou she hated it.
"Hey Mitsuki." Said Inko.
"Inko!" said Mitsuki. She ran up to Inko and brought her into a tight hug. "I haven't seen you in a few days. How are you?"
"I have been better Mitsuki. Izuku is at UA right now due to his quirk finally manifesting. He passed out because of it and All Might took him to Recovery Girl to be checked over." Said Inko.
"Is he okay?" asked Mitsuki who was surprised to find out that Izuku had a quirk after years of not having one.
"He will make a full recovery. But when I went to see him, I and a few others found out that Izuku's quirk is sentient and that they had seen and heard everything that Izuku has for years now." Said Inko.
"Really? But why now did his quirk manifest?" asked Mitsuki.
"Izuku needed to encounter different aspects of life before he could use his quirk." Said Inko she turned away from Mitsuki and looked at the park. "Hey Mitsuki. How long have we known each other?"
Mitsuki smiled. "Years. Since we were five. We first met years ago right here in this park. A lot of good memories here."
"Yeah. Mitsuki, you know that no matter what happens I will always see you as my sister." Said Inko.
"Of course. And I would always see you as mine." Said Mitsuki.
"I know. And for that, I am sorry for what I am about to do." Said Inko.
Before Mitsuki could ask what Inko meant, she got the answer.
SMACK!
Mitsuki went wide eye and held her left cheek. She looked into Inko's eyes as the green haired woman let tears fall down her face.
"Why?" asked Mitsuki with tears forming in her eyes.
"Because of Katsuki." Answered Inko with a snarl to her voice. "Your son baited Izuku to kill himself today!"
Mitsuki went pale when she heard that. She wanted to deny it and say that her son would never say such a thing but one look into Inko's eyes stopped whatever Mitsuki wanted to say in her throat.
"Izuku's quirk took control of his body while he was unconscious and told me and a few heroes at UA what Katsuki told Izuku today. I knew that Izuku was being bullied for years, but I never knew that Katsuki had a hand in it till today." Said Inko.
Inko was breathing heavily as she looked to her best friend. Mitsuki was getting worse as she listened to Inko about what her son had done.
"Know this Mitsuki, I will always see you as my sister but until that boy of yours gets his head on straight I don't want to talk with you or Masaru. While Izuku is still good friends with Katsumi, she isn't allowed to see Izuku either until Katsuki is given a harsh dose of reality. I am sorry Mitsuki, but I will not let anyone do that to Izuku, especially your son." Said Inko.
Inko walked away from Mitsuki but was stopped by the woman when she brought Inko into a tight hug. Tears were streaming down the Bakugo woman as she held onto her best friend.
"I am so sorry. I never wanted this to happen. Don't go please." Pleaded Mitsuki.
Inko placed her hand on Mitsuki to calm her down. "I am sorry Mitsuki but until you fix Katsuki I can't be around you. I still love you like a sister but Izuku is my son and I failed him too much to let this continue."
Inko removed Mitsuki's arms and walked away to her apartment to grab a few things for herself and Izuku before heading back to UA. Mitsuki fell to the ground as tears flowed down her face. Her stinging cheek was barely felt compared to the sting that her best friend was angry with her. But Inko had every right to be angry. Izuku was her only family in this world now and Katsuki almost took that away from her.
Mitsuki then went red in her eyes with pure fury. "Katsuki!" snarled Mitsuki. She got up off the ground and ran off into the night towards her home to deal with her idiotic son. If he thought that the beatings that he got before were bad, he wasn't going to be prepared for what Mitsuki had in store for him now.
(Bakugo Apartment)
The place was quiet as Masaru was working on a few designs for his job, Katsumi was watching TV since she had finally finished her homework and Katsuki was in his room. Katsumi had a smile on her face as she watched the news about All Might dealing with a villain made of sludge here in Musutafu.
"I wonder if I can get his autograph?" spoke Katsumi to herself.
Just then the door to the apartment was slammed open with such force that the door almost came off its hinges.
Katsumi snapped her head to the door and primed her explosion quirk to attack the person that came thru the door but stopped when she saw her mother. Mitsuki still had tears falling down her face and her cheek was still red from Inko's slap.
"Mom? What's wrong?" asked Katsumi.
Mitsuki looked to her daughter with such anger that Katsumi had to step back a few steps. Katsumi had never seen her mother this angry before and it scared her.
"Go to your room Katsumi. Right now!" yelled Mitsuki.
Katsumi didn't need to be told twice. She booked it to her room and closed the door. Masaru dashed out of his office to see his wife in the doorway to the apartment with tears falling down her face and a red mark on her cheek.
"Honey? What's wrong? What happened to your cheek?" asked Masaru.
Mitsuki looked to her husband and pulled him into a tight hug.
"Inko. She is angry with me. She hates me right now. With us." Answered Mitsuki with tears falling from her face.
Masaru was shocked to hear that. Inko has never been angry with them in anything. For the many years that he knew Inko, she rarely if ever had been angry in anything. Not even whenever Mitsuki would get thermo-nuclear with her anger.
"Why is she angry? What did we do to make her angry with us?" asked Masaru.
"We didn't do anything. Katsuki." Snarled Mitsuki when she said her sons name. "Katsuki baited Izuku into killing himself today!"
Masaru stood still at that answer. He knew that his son had a volatile temper, but to bait suicide? What would make him do such a thing? Just then the two parents heard a gasp. They turned to see Katsumi staring at them with wide eyes and tears in her eyes. She had left her room after she heard her father calm her mother down and wanted to see if she could help, only to hear what was just said.
"Katsuki….. he baited Izu-kun to kill himself?" asked a horrified Katsumi.
Mitsuki brought her daughter into a hug with Masaru holding the two women.
"He did. Inko told me just now at the park. She told me that Masaru and I aren't allowed to talk to her until Katsuki gets his head on straight." Said Mitsuki. She then brought Katsumi into a tighter hug, almost like she didn't want her to go anywhere. "And Inko said that you can't see Izuku either until that happens too."
Katsumi stopped at that. She couldn't see Izuku? Her best friend? Her only friend?! She began to shake in her mothers arms not only in sorrow but also rage. Katsumi got out of her mothers arms and dashed towards her brothers room. Her eyes a blaze with pure fury, palms popping with mini explosions. Both Mitsuki and Masaru tried to stop her, but Katsumi was faster than her parents.
Katsumi practically ripped the door to her brothers room off its hinges in anger. Katsuki whipped his head to the door to see his sister glaring at him. But before he could ask what her problem is, she lunged at him with her roaring at him.
"You Fucking Bastard!" roared Katsumi as she began to beat her brother into the wall with tears falling down her face.
After being beaten for a minute Katsuki was able to throw his sister off him and ran out of his room. But Katsumi was right behind him with her eyes glowing fiery red in rage. The two ran out into the main area of the apartment with Katsumi tackling her brother out the open door and into the street outside.
Katsuki was able to get his sister off him and glared at her. "What the fuck is your problem?!"
"My problem is you! You fucking bastard! I should have done this years ago and that is beating every ounce of arrogance out of your body!" yelled Katsumi as she let lose more explosions on her brother.
Katsuki was able to dodge most of them but Katsumi in her rage was letting out more explosions then she ever did before. Katsuki punched Katsumi in the face with a right hook but Katsumi countered with an explosive round house kick to the jaw. Katsumi then grabbed her brother by his left foot and slammed him into the ground. Just as she was about to give her brother more pain wood branches wrapped around her midsection and pulled her away.
"Stop this!" said Kamui Woods. He and a few other heroes had arrived when they heard the explosions to find Katsumi attacking her brother.
Death Arms walked over to Katsumi and placed a pair of quirk negating cuffs on her wrists to stop her from using her quirk.
"Now do you want to explain why you are attacking this man?" asked Death Arms.
"I am attacking him because he is an arrogant asshole that needs to learn that he is a monster!" yelled Katsumi.
"What do you mean?" asked Kamui Woods. He watched as a few heroes were helping Katsuki up off the ground.
"Katsuki, he baited my best friend to try and kill himself today!" yelled Katsumi. The heroes and civilians were wide eye at those words.
Katsumi had tears falling down her face as she continued. "And now because of him!" She pointed at Katsuki who had wide eyes that his sister is telling everyone around what he did. "I can't see my best friend until that idiot of a brother gets his head on straight! And my parents can't even see Izuku's mom even thou they are the best of friends! That bastard has destroyed years of friendship with his shortsighted arrogance!" she yelled with even more tears falling down her face.
The heroes and the civilians were silent when they heard that. They looked to the boy as he shook in rage that his own sister would rat him out in front of all these people. So what if he said that to the useless Deku?! He is a useless quirkless runt that tries to be a hero when he shouldn't even exist!
Kamui Woods, Death Arms and the other heroes didn't know what to do in this situation. While Katsumi did use her quirk in public and on a person, she also had every right to be furious at her brother. On the other end, Katsuki was just attacked repeatedly by Katsumi, but he also advocated a person to commit suicide.
In the end, the heroes took Katsumi to the police station for using her quirk in public and brought Katsuki to the hospital for treatment. Katsumi was released an hour later with a warning to not use her quirk in public again unless she had a license. Katsuki however had a worse problem.
By orders of his parents, Katsuki was sent to a rehabilitation center to get his head on straight. Katsuki was furious that his parents were doing this to him, saying that he was in the right but Mitsuki and Masaru wouldn't listen to him. Katsuki had become a problem and needed to be fixed. Katsuki was screaming out profanities as he was dragged away in a straight jacket since he fought the people that came to pick him up, but he was eventually placed into the van a taken away.
Mitsuki and Masaru could only watch as the van that held their son drive off and pray that the doctors would get that boy to straighten out. Katsumi glared at the van and growled in fury that Katsuki had said such things to Izuku. She swore in her head that she would never forgive her brother and would stand by Izuku's side for the rest of their lives.
(UA High/Next Morning)
Izuku grunted as the sun entered his eyes. He opened his eyes to see his mother sleeping in a chair nearby and that he wasn't in his room. Izuku looked around to see that he was in a hospital room of sorts. He sat up in the bed and from the door came an old woman that he knew from his hero studies.
"Hello deary. How are you today?" asked Chiyo.
"I'm fine. Um, where am I Recovery Girl?" asked Izuku.
"In UA young man. Right now you are in the infirmary of the school. All Might brought you here yesterday after he found you and when your quirk awakened." Said Chiyo.
Izuku went wide eye. He then looked down at his fingers and saw that they really did change. He began to cry with a smile on his face.
"I really do have a quirk. It wasn't a dream." Said Izuku.
Chiyo smiled sadly at Izuku. She can understand why the poor boy was crying. Years of not having a quirk and now he finally does, he can finally be like almost everyone else.
Inko woke up a moment later to see her son crying and held her boy close. She was also crying with her son, but they weren't crying in sadness but with joy.
After a few hours Izuku was given a clean bill of health and was now in front of principal Nezu in his office with Inko and Toshinori in the room as well.
"Greetings young Midoriya. It is good to see you up and about after what happened yesterday." Said Nezu.
"It-its and honor to meet you sir. And thank you for helping me yesterday." Said Izuku.
"Think nothing of it." Said Nezu with a smile. "Now onto the main part of this meeting. I want to help you grow into the hero that you want to become."
Izuku and Inko was stunned by what the chimera just said. "Um, not that I am ungrateful but why would you help me if we only met today?" asked Izuku.
"An understandable question. Yesterday after you were brought here, your quirk took control of your body. It explained the life that you have had to live since you were diagnosed as quirkless." Said Nezu.
Izuku went wide eye when the chimera said that. He looked to his mother and saw that she was also upset and Izuku realized that she knew that he was hiding things from her.
"That being said. I believe that Aldera middle school is holding you back considerable. Which is why I want to make a deal with you." Said Nezu.
"What kind of deal sir?" asked Inko.
"Its simple. Young Midoriya will learn his last year of middle school here in UA. Where he will get better control with his quirk and make sure that he is no longer being sabotaged for something out of his control. The only catch is this, the training will be difficult and will make your son want to break at every turn. But if he wants to be a hero then I know what is answer is. Well Young Midoriya, do you want to do this?" asked Nezu.
Izuku looked at the principal with wide eyes. He then looked to his mother then the man that was in the room and finally to his multi colored fingers. Izuku then looked up with determination in his eyes.
"I'll do it." Said Izuku. Inko smiled as did Nezu and Toshinori. "All my life I have been put down for things that were out of my control. Mom had to deal with glares and whispers since I didn't have a quirk and they thought that it was her fault. I will prove to everyone that I can and will be a hero."
Nezu and Toshinori knew right then and there that Izuku really was the right person for what they were about to ask of him.
"That is great to hear. But there is one last thing that we wish to speak with you about." Said Nezu.
Izuku and Inko raised an eyebrow at that. Toshinori stood up and to the surprise of both Midoriya's bulked up into All Might.
"Its good to see you once again young man! I know that you have questions, but I have something very important to ask of you." Said All Might.
Izuku and Inko were wide eye at the number one hero that was in front of them. They nod their heads and listen in on what the man had to ask of Izuku.
"I look back to that day every now and then. I realized that it was on that day is when everything changed for me. The day that I got my quirk and was asked to be All Might's successor. Many things changed on that day, things that I wouldn't change and others I would come to regret even to this day. But what was in the past couldn't be changed. I stand here now as the number one hero of Japan ready to protect the people whenever they need me. For I am Dekiru: The Spectrum Hero. In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those that worship evils might, beware my power Spectrums Light!"
To be continued
I hope that you all like what I have made so far, I know that I am! Like I said before, Green Lantern was one of the first superhero comics that I have read and have been a huge fan of for years. But to be honest I couldn't just pick one Lantern power for Izuku, so I gave him a bit of each.
Now Izuku will have to train hard to get them under control and even then Izuku will not be able to use each one effectively right off the bat. Red, Fear and Greed are three that Izuku will have the most difficult with since by his own nature he wouldn't feel much of them aside from all the times that Katsuki put the fear of god in the poor green teen.
With that said I hope that you like it and like my other stories Izuku will have a harem. List right below.
Harem-Katsumi, the girls of 1A, Camie, Itsuka, Setsuna, Yui, Pony, Reiko, Mei, Himiko, Melissa and Nejire
And before everyone starts yelling at me that the harem is to big. First, don't. I have seen other stories where Izuku gets every girl in the fucking series in the first fucking chapter and that is not including the ones where My Hero is crossed over with High school DxD! So bite me! Second, the harem will take time. It's not like he is going to get them within the first chapter. But by the end of the story Izuku will be with each of these girls.
Now before I go I just want to say that the reason why I was absent during March was because my grandmother has not been feeling well and has been in and out of the hospital the entire month. Add to work that has been picking up I have had little time to write. I have plans to get back to my other works, but it will take time.
Stay Safe out there and Have a Good Day.
