Ever since he'd first met Princess Daisy at the Mushroom Kingdom tennis tournament, Luigi had fallen in love with her. First it came off as friendly rivalry during matches, then it came off as them slowly becoming friends. The more they hung out, the closer they became, and the more in love Luigi was.

For a few weeks, the green plumber invited Daisy over to his and Mario's house; sometimes Luigi would come visit the princess in her castle at Sarasaland. They'd talk about the brothers' adventures, how Daisy got kidnapped by Lord Tatanga at one point, etc. One day, Luigi confessed to the Sarasaland Princess. He'd been extremely nervous before, but with Mario's help and practice, he was brave enough to ask her out! He'd wanted to ask something else as well, but words left him.

"I- uhhh, I, um..." Luigi stammered while blushing. "D-D-Daisy..."

"Yes, Luigi?" Daisy asked.

"I-I was wondering... uh, um, uhhh- i-if you w-wanted to g- I mean, w-would y-you want to do a s-special... er-"

The princess smirked. "Luigi, are you trying to ask me out on a date?"

The green, shy plumber's eyebrows rose up in surprise. "Y-yeah... how did you... know?" he asked.

"Well for one, I can obviously tell by your face; you can't hide your feelings very well, yunno? And secondly... yeah I'll go out with ya! I'm in love with you too," Daisy said casually.

Luigi sighed of relief, glad to finally have gotten that out of his chest, and even more glad that the princess decided to go out with him. "Oh wonderful! So, uh... um- i-in a couple of weeks then? Our first date?"

Daisy kissed him on the cheek. "You pick, Weeg. But on our next future date, I'm picking the place!"

Luigi went home on a happy note, and before that, as soon as Daisy went inside her home, he let out a quiet yet happy cheer, doing a fist pump.

Back at home, he told Mario the good news and the older twin was happy for him, giving him a thumbs up. "Way to go, bro!" he exclaimed. "I knew you could do it."

Luigi smiled sheepishly. "T-Thanks bro..." he murmured.

"No-a problem! Now all that's left is to impress the princess, get her something nice, and take her out on a nice lovely dinner."

"Yeah...! B-but Mario, w-where am I supposed to take her out? She doesn't seem like the type that likes... fancy stuff."

The red plumber put a hand to his chin as if he were thinking. "Well... what if you take her to that Italian restaurant?" Mario suggested. "Not too fancy, not too casual, just... semi formal."

"Hmmmm... that actually sounds like a good idea," Luigi said.

"Also, Daisy's birthday is next week, right? You could get her a present! Something nice, yeah?"

"Something cool, huh... I think I got a brilliant idea!"

2 weeks later...

Daisy was wearing an orange dress with a floral like pattern, along with heels with tiny diamonds on the sides. She was sitting on the bench in front of that famous restaurant in Toad Town: Papa Pio's Pizzaria. The sign had a 1930's cartoony Toad holding up a box of pizza pie. It had been over 40 years since the restaurant first opened and became a success.

Soon enough, Luigi showed up with hands behind his back smiling down at Daisy. The princess smiled back at him. "Hey you! You made it," Daisy said, giving him a hug.

"Ha ha... I told you I'd make it!" Luigi replied, hugging back.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go inside!"

And with that, Luigi and Daisy went inside the restaurant. Inside, they had an all you can eat buffet with green beans, mashed potatoes and all, semi experienced chefs, and even a quartet singing various songs on a stage. A waiter took them to their table and served them water and breadsticks while they waited for their orders. Daisy and Luigi took the buffet but decided to order their pizza and a plate of pasta for them to share in the end.

"Hey Luigi, how come you didn't order the hamburger? This IS an American-Italian restaurant after all," Daisy inquired.

The green clad shrugged. "It didn't feel... fancy enough for me," he answered.

The princess let out a soft laugh. So uptight-ish, yet so charming, she thought.

Soon enough, Daisy had already gotten herself a plate of mashed potatoes and French fries as a start, and Luigi got himself some green beans and mashed potatoes. While they were waiting for the main course, they ate some of the food and made some small talk. How was Daisy's castle doing? (Good, nothing too hasty yet.) Did Peach get kidnapped again? (Yes, but Mario saved her as always.) Are he and Luigi planning to get a pet some time soon? (Maybe?)

Just as Luigi finished his story about his time in the mansion, the waiter came with their pizzas and plate of spaghetti, then took their buffet plates away when they were done. The couple thanked them and ate their dinner in peace.

Half an hour later, they were stuffed. So stuffed, Luigi could fit another brother in his stomach. Daisy looked like she was about to burst. But since none of them could resist the food here, they decided to order themselves an ice cream to go, in case they ever wanted to share. It really was a wonderful place Luigi had suggested.

Just as they were about to go to their car, a purple alien appeared to ruin their date. "NYEHEHEHEHEHEH! Stop right there, you pathetic beings!" he said.

The princess of Sarasaland gasped. "YOU!" she exclaimed.

The green plumber was scared, but nonetheless tried to keep a brave face. "W-who are you?" he asked.

The alien scoffed. "Who, me? Don't tell me you haven't heard of me! I am Tatanga! You must be Mario's stupid puny brother, Luigi!"

"Ah- b-but- h-how-"

"But how, NOTHIN'! It's just mere coincidence! Now hand me Daisy."

Luigi stammered nervously, having not met this guy. Sure, Mario told the green clad about this Tatanga guy, but he never thought he'd actually MEET this alien. Nonetheless, he'd gotten an urge to stand up for his love; however, he was too scared. But at the same time, he never wanted the alien to take the princess AGAIN. So the green clad gathered up what courage he had and managed to utter, "N-No..! I... I won't allow it!"

The villainous alien was appalled. "EXCUSE ME?!"

Daisy stood next to Luigi and held his hand firmly. "You heard him, lame-o! You're not taking me away!" She exclaimed. "Not again."

The alien chuckled viciously. "Not again, eh? Well, I guess I'll have to take her by FORCE!"

Tatanga prepared his laser gun and shot at the couple repeatedly, making Luigi dodge and drag Daisy towards him. The Sarasaland princess took out her frying pan and whacked him in the face repeatedly with it. Using this as an opportunity to get rid of this guy once and for all, Luigi closed his eyes in fear, raised his fists, and charged at him swinging said fists around at the guy, getting a few hits out of him.

The purple alien shot Luigi on the arm, knocking the plumber to the ground. Luigi winced in pain, making Daisy angry and beat Tatanga up brutally with her karate moves, and her frying pan as the finishing move. She put one foot on the alien glaring at him. "Ready to give up?" she asked.

Tatanga looked up at Daisy in fear and tried to keep a brave face but to no avail. "N-No..! The great alien lord never gives up!" he sputtered.

Before he could say anything more, Luigi shot his thunder bolt at Tatanga, and the alien shot straight into the sky. "CURSE YOU, PATHETIC WEAKLINGS!" he screamed, and as he went further and further, he was nothing more than a speck in the sky.

As soon as the alien was gone, Luigi heaved a sigh of relief, then looked at Daisy with regret. "Listen, Daisy... I'm sorry I'm not as brave as you wanted me to be back there..." he murmured. "The truth is, I'm just a big coward... unlike Mario. If you don't want to go out with me because of that, I understand."

The princess just stared at him for a few seconds. Then she laughed, shocking Luigi. Why was she laughing? She should've left by now... and yet she didn't? What was going on?

She wiped a tear and sighed softly. "Ohhh, Luigi, Luigi, Luigi... you silly goose. You really think that I would stop dating you because of your personality?" the princess asked sternly, leaving Luigi only a few seconds to answer.

"...Well-"

"Absolutely NOT. You're the first genuine guy I've ever met in years. You're funny, you're sweet, you're caring, and you're super brave. You even helped me fight Tatanga for crying out loud! And I think that's what makes you the most attractive guy of all... my green knight in shining armor."

The green plumber blushed a beet red. "Y-you really t-t-think so...?"

Daisy nodded. "I know so. This is exactly why I chose you as my boyfriend, you know? Now, come here..."

She then threw her arms around Luigi, giving him a big hug. The plumber wrapped his arms around her waist, and the two planted a kiss on the lips, making it a night they both will never forget. The two let their lips untangle and they stared at one another lovingly. "Let's go home, shall we, hon?" Daisy said.

"Y-yeah, l-let's go..." Luigi stammered, taking Daisy to his car and then going in himself. As the car drove off, stars glimmered all the way throughout the night, all the way home.

A/N: Welp, there you have it! And it's not even a crossover lol. I hope I did okay with this... I'm still learning the ropes with writing and all that good stuff, haha. But yeah, I ship Luigi x Daisy to a freakin TEE! They're so adorable together it's not funny. I also like to think that Daisy would be the type of person that's patient with people like Luigi, and she wouldn't let ANYONE mess with her boo. Aaaaand that's it! I hope you all like it~ Don't forget to read and review :3
