AN: The idea for this story came from a Tiktok I saw. It was in the comments. So, Izuku's mom has telekinesis. His dad, breaths fire. If those two were to be combined, they would make pyrokinesis. So, in this story, Deku DOES have a quirk. The power of fire! Lets see what happens when Izuku is much more confident than what he is in the anime. Let's find out. Let's see just how far I can take this story. I hope you all enjoy!

MHA:The Emerald Firebender

Start yet another terrible intro

Izuku Midoriya, age 8, green hair and green eyes, and the most bullied kid in school. Why may you ask? Well, Izuku here has the unfortunate pleasure of being quirkless. Or so he thought.

You see, ever since he went to the doctor, his life has taken a turn for the worse. The doctors told him that he would never manifest a quirk, despite not having an extra joint in his toe. They said that even if he did get one, it would probably be incredibly weak, nowhere near fit enough that it would allow him to become a hero. And ever since those at school found this out, they all treated him as though he were dirt. From kid to teacher, they all treated him terribly.

Even his once best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, bullied him. And Bakugo just seemed to truly hate him. Izuku didn't understand why. What's so bad about being quirkless? And why was it cause for everyone to treat him so terribly? He never did anything to anyone to deserve such treatment. So why does everyone hate him?

But little did Izuku know, today everything was going to change.

It was late October when it happened. Izuku was walking with a slight limp. He had just been beaten up by Bakugo and his 'friends'. He had a few burns on his hands and forearms and bruises all across his body. Tears streamed down his face as he walked. He didn't want to go home just yet, not wanting to have to face his mom, who would be so worried about him. He took a detour to a cluttered beach full of trash. He thought he could hide out there and find a spot away from everyone else.

He found a secluded spot behind a large pile, away from the view of passing civilians. He sat down before pulling his knees to his chest and proceeded to cry.

'Why? Why do they all hate me?' He wondered as he cried. 'What about me being quirkless makes everyone pick on me? So what if I don't have a quirk? I'm still human too. Why? Why do I have to be hated? I just want some friends! I just want people to like me! I… I just want to be like everyone else.' Izuku leaned back against a fridge. It was cold to the touch, and it wasn't helped by the fact that it was cold out today. 'I just want to be… warm.'

Little did young Izuku know, that when someone reaches their lowest point, they are open to the greatest change.

Izuku's mother, Inko, had the power to levitate objects. Izuku's father, Hizashi, had the power to breathe fire. When the two combine into one, the fire adds power to the levitation ability, amplifying its strength. But the levitation quirk also amplified the fire quirk, making it much stronger than just simple fire breathing. Combine these two quirks and add in a mutation of genes that makes kids quirks stronger than their parents, and you get Pyrokinesis.

And now that Izuku has reached the lowest of low points the fire inside him that had laid dormant for the last few years now, waiting for its master to be in need of its glorious power, has finally awakened. Its power burst forth from the deepest reaches of his soul and poured outward and coursed through his body, giving him power and providing him with a comforting warmth all over his body.

Izuku looked up as he suddenly felt warm all over. He leaned his hand against the fridge as he stood up and looked at himself in confusion. It was cold out, so why was he feeling warm? He looked at his body and saw a light steam wafting off it in the cold air.

His thoughts came to a halt as he suddenly fell against the fridge that he was leaning on. He pulled his face off the metal, and looked at his arm in confusion. His arm was now in a hole. The edges of the hole were glowing bright orange, like something had melted it.

He was surprised. From what he knows, molten metal should be burning his skin and setting his clothes on fire. But the molten edges of the hole were only warm to him. They were in no way painful. He noticed that his clothes were fine as well. He watched in shock as a drop of metal fell from the molten edges and landed on his skin… before sliding off like a water droplet.

When the droplet hit the ground, he could hear a sizzling sound as it came in contact with the cold sands.

He slowly pulled his arm out of the hole, watching in fascination that he was completely unaffected by the hot metal. As his hand emerged from the hole, he widened his eyes in surprise at what he saw.

His hand was covered in emerald green flames. He flexed his fingers, noticing that they weren't hurting from the flames at all. In fact, the flames felt warm, comforting, and… soft? As though his hand was covered in a warm glove.

It was then that he noticed something else. The dull throbbing pain he had in his leg was now gone. In fact, he didn't feel any pain anywhere on his body. He looked at his other hand, and saw that the burns and bruises had disappeared. It was as though they had never been there.

Izuku only thought for a second on what was happening, before then immediately realized what it was.

'I-Is this m-my quirk?' The boy thought hopefully as he looked at his flaming hand. He tried concentrating on turning the flames off, and they suddenly disappeared. He tried turning them on, and his hand was suddenly engulfed in emerald flames. He did this a couple times, turning the fire on and off, a smile growing on his face as he did so.

'M-my quirk! It's here!' Izuku thought happily as tears of joy started flowing down his cheeks. 'And it looks like a powerful one at that.' He thought as he looked at the fridge that still had a glowing hole in it.

An idea hit him, one that he wanted to test out. He aimed his flaming hand at the fridge. He concentrated and his flames obeyed his command almost instantly. A stream of emerald fire leapt at the fridge, engulfing the top part of it. Izuku held the stream for exactly five seconds before cutting it off. He was amazed at the results. The fridge was now glowing bright yellow/white. He hesitantly placed his fingers on the hot metal, expecting pain. But again, the metal only felt warm to him, as though it had only been left out in the sun for a few minutes.

Izuku ran his hand over the hot fridge in amazement. 'I got my quirk. I got my quirk!' "I'VE GOT MY QUIRK!!" Izuku shouted as he started to do a little happy dance.

He stopped and positively beamed at the still hot fridge. 'Now I can finally be like everyone else! I can finally have friends! I can finally have people like me! I can finally be normal! Just like Kaacha-'

Izuku stopped suddenly as a thought occurred to him. "No." He said softly. "Not like him. Ka-Bakugo's showed me his true colors. He hates me because he thinks I'm quirkless. And If I show him my quirk, he will only like me because of it, not because of me. It will be the same for everyone else. Everyone will only like me because of my quirk, not because of who I am as a person. It will just be like Bakugo's 'friends'. Following him because he has a 'cool' and powerful quirk." Izuku said sadly, and with a bit of bitterness in his voice. "I don't want that." He said as he looked at his hands and made his flames appear. He watched the emerald flames dance across his skin. "I want everyone to like me for me, not for what my quirk is." He thought for a few moments, before coming to a decision. He looke at his hands.

"Everyone hates me for being quirkless. They all see me as weak, defenseless… useless. But now I have a quirk. And a strong one. They have shown me their true colors. That they are shallow and only care about power and quirks. Well, I won't show them I have a quirk now. If they didn't care about me before, they won't care about me now." Izuku said as he started walking home. "So, I won't tell them about my quirk. No, they don't deserve to know about it. Mom does, but not them."

With his decision made, Izuku started thinking about all of the things that his quirk may or may not be able to do. He would have to make a list in his journal when he got home. He was brimming with excitement. He could become a hero now!

He arrived home five minutes later. He ran inside in excitement.

"MOM!" He yelled, wanting to tell her the good news.

"What? What's wrong sweetie?" Inko asked worriedly as she appeared from the kitchen.

"You won't believe what happened today!" Izuku said excitedly as he jumped up and down.

"What happened today sweetie?" Inko asked curiously, seeing that her son was fine.

"Look!" He said as he held out his palms. Inko watched curiously for a moment. That curiosity was wiped away by shock as her sons hands were suddenly engulfed by emerald flames. She watched in amazement as they danced across his palms harmlessly.

Izuku looked at his mom with the biggest smile she had seen on his face in a while. "I got my quirk mom!" He said as he shut his flames off.

Inko shook away her surprise and smiled at her son. "You did! You did sweetheart!" She said as she gave him a hug, noticing that he was warmer than usual. "And what a beautiful quirk it is! And it looks powerful too!"

Izuku looked up hesitantly. "Can I become a hero now mom?" He asked, hope evident in his voice.

Inko looked down at her son with a soft smile and pulled him into another hug. "Yes sweetie. You can be a hero!"

Izuku's smile didn't leave his face that day.

AN: I think that's a good starting point for this story. A good foundation for me to build upon. I will be adding my OC in the next chapter, and boy do I have plans for the two of them. Izuku will be getting one for all btw. I am still debating whether I want to have them go through the entrance exam, or change it up and have them be put in through recommendation. Oh well, I'll cross that bring when I come to it. Please leave me a review! It helps me more than you would think.
