Derek was about to leave Los Angeles to head back to Seattle but before he could even step outside of Seaside Wellness he has a realisation and that's when he decides to stop his ex wife who has just walked past to ask her about it.
"Um Addison do you a sec?". Derek asks her stopping her in her tracks.
"Yeah are you ok?". Addison asks her ex-husband.
"I was until I realised I've being here all day yet I didn't see my sister". Derek tells Addison of his realisation.
"Right you haven't talked to her have you?". Addison replies.
"No not for a few weeks I haven't". Derek tells her of the lack of contact between him and his sister.
"Well it's nice to hear it's not just us she's shutting out than". Addison replies giving him a look as he looks confused.
"What do you mean she's shutting you guys out? How can she do that if she lives with you and works here?". Derek questions her as he is confused.
"She's struggling something major has happened to her but I don't think it's my place to say what and to answer your questions she can shut us out easily apparently since she has moved out of my place and resigned from her job here". Addison tells him filling him in on Amelia's recent choices.
"Well this major thing was it as bad as it sounds we both know Amy can tend to be dramatic". Derek asks her.
"Yes we do but I wouldn't wish what Amelia went through on my worst enemy". Addison tells him meaning that it is bad.
"Um ok than it must be bad. Do you know where I can find her?". Derek states and asks her.
"She's staying at a hotel here's the room number but don't be surprised if she doesn't let you in". Addison tells him handing him a piece of paper with the hotel name and room number on it that she had got from Sheldon.
"Thanks Addison". Derek replies.
"It's ok good luck". Addison responds and walks away.
