Disclaimer: I don't own One Piece

If you followed this story and are now reading this, it means that I am restarting the whole story. The concept is still pretty much the same but I will make some pretty big changes. I'll make sure to stick to my own rules this time.

Rating: M (mentions of death and nonconsensual situation)

To start things off, let me clear up a few things.

The Straw Hats are in their junior years of High School and their adventures are about to get a whole lot worse for each of them. It was bad when Luffy was a sophomore but things would get a lot harder from here on out. Luffy and his friends all have things hidden amongst themselves, secrets if you will. Luffy doesn't have any secrets, if he trusts you then he doesn't mind sharing a few things about himself.

Zoro however does have secrets, quite a few really. He looks tough on the outside but is really broken on the inside. Life was very cruel to him in his early stages of life but it only got worse from there. He's tried to encounter the good things about life and right now, it's working. He has his girlfriend Nami by his side and he has vowed to protect her as best as he can for both their sakes. Though that didn't mean life was peachy.

Nami's story is complete, though that doesn't mean her life is good. Zoro plays a huge role in her comfort and love life and is quite frankly the only thing she has going for her. She has her friends, but should she lose Zoro, another loved one, she doesn't know if she can handle it.

Usopp, probably the one with the easiest going life but still, life always has something in store for you. Usopp may be an idiot at times, but he definetely knows when someone is lying or not since he'a an expert on knowing how. Usopp plays some major roles in each of his friend's lives and even bigger role for a certain girl.

Sanji, one secret, no regrets. He swears to never let anybody find out his past, not even himself. He doesn't want to be a person who's stuck in the past, he wants to move forward along with his friends. Though lately, there's been someone keeping an eye on him. Perhaps someone could help him on his way.

Robin, she's too far into the void. She has lost all sense of trust and love after being hurt and betrayed countless times. She only hangs around with Luffy's group on rare occasions but only focuses on herself. But who knows, maybe she'll learn to trust again.

Hancock, possibly the one with the worst life out of everyone. Who knows if she'll ever find comfort.

That'll be it in terms of the Straw Hats. So sorry to the people who are fans of these characters, but they won't make the cut in this story. Chopper, Jimbei, and Brook will not be in this story. Franky is in, but he will be older than the rest and have some big roles at some points. He will not be following the Straw Hats in their school lives.

As for side characters that'll be included will be Ace, Sabo, Vivi, Kaya, Perona, Garp, Hancock, Smoker, Shanks, Mihawk, Nojiko, Koala, Banchina, and Makino.

As for Antagonists, Kuro Pirates, Celestial Dragons, CP9, Fishman Pirates, A certain Warlod of the sea.

Now for their Ages:

Luffy-17

Nami-16

Zoro-17

Usopp-16

Sanji-17

Robin-18

Vivi-16

Ace-20

Sabo-20

Franky-34

Perona-21

Nojiko-18

Hancock-18

Koala-18

Pairing for the story, Luffy x Hancock, Zoro x Nami, Usopp x Kaya, Sanji x ???, and Sabo x Koala.

Now for as to why I feel disappointed in my last story, it was because even though I said no powers, I ended up adding powers. It made things more complicated for the characters and the whole story I was building. This time, I'll resort to martial art techniques and your good old trusty weapons. On that note, Zoro is not allowed to bring weapons to school or anywhere in public, but he can use swords. For Zoro, he knows how to play guitar and hides his sword in his guitar case in case of emergencies. For the the ASL trio and their pipes along, they stay at home, same with Nami and her staff. This goes for Usopp and his slingshot as well as Kuro and his weird cat claws.

Franky will have large prosthetic forearms and prosthetic legs, he won't be a teacher in this story but will have some importance. For CP9, they will just well trained in almost all martial arts as well as weaponry.

That should be it, enjoy.

/FlashBack/

- Luffy -

"Oi Luffy!! Wake the hell up you're late!" Shanks bellowed. Luffy snapped awake but everything was still a bit dizzy and fuzzy around him.

'Erhhmm, huh?' Luffy's brilliant mind registered.

"LUFFFYY!!" Shanks yelled again. At this, Luffy immediately glanced at his clock and noticed it was 7:33 A.M.

...

...Oh shit he was late!

Luffy went into hyperdrive mode and went about changing into a blue Nike sweater and Dark Blue jeans. He put on white socks, Black shoes, and his trusty Straw Hat. He bounced to the bathroom where Ace was still showering and began brushing his teeth.

"What the hell Luffy?!!" Ace yelled knowing it was him.

"Sorry Ace! But I don't have any time!" Luffy responded. As if to prove his point, Shanks yelled his name again.

"I'm Coming!!" Luffy yelled back. He finished brushing his teeth and raced down the stairs to where Shanks stood in front of him with his arms crossed in a disapproving manner.

"Seriously, you're a Sophomore now but you still can't manage to make it to your last day on time can you??" Shanks said disappointed. To his surprise, Luffy wasn't even in front of him and Shanks then heard the sound of a door opening and closing.

"Was that?"

"Yes it was dear," Makino replied calmly. Shanks sighed out in defeat and that's when Makino continued.

"It's really you who's never prepared, you should know by now that Luffy will always be late no matter what," Makino said. Shanks glared at her but she responded with a polite smile.

"Honestly, what are we going to do with him?" Shanks said smiling a bit.

"-sighs- You always were reckless Luffy," Shanks said wistfully.

--

"'Hah' 'hah' 'hah' Oh man I hope I make it," Luffy said out of breathe. Makino was able to manage to make him breakfast in the form of it all being stuffed inside of his paper bag. Inside it contained bacon, a chicken wing, and bread and fruit. To most, it would seem like a lot just for breakfast for school, but to Luffy, it was merely a snack. He was running around his block and looked in every direction while stuffing his face. Luffy saw flashing lights ahead of him and lots of shadows. It seemed like a crowd was standing in front of his school.

Luffy turned a corner and he was met with a sight of a bunch of police cars. They were in front of the school and there was yellow tape surrounding the front. Luffy got a feeling of dread build within him and was curious and as he got closer, the more serious the situation became. Luffy froze when he faintly saw a head of orange hair.

He saw Nami crying and trying to get past the officers, she was screaming one name and one name only. Zoro. Luffy grew worrisome at the thought of something happening to Zoro...damn it! If he wasnmt late maybe he could've helped him! Nami was swearing at them and yelling that they better save Zoro. Luffy picked up small voices saying things like, shot, bleeding out, poor guy, and Dead.

It was then at that point that another car pulled up and out came Garp to his surprise. Garp was retired from the police organization and Koala and Ace came out too. It seemed as though Shanks was dropping them off and it only made Luffy's stomach churn even more.

Koala looked the worst out of all of them, she had tears streaming down her face, similar to how Nami was. Luffy had never seen that look on Koala's face before and seeing it only made want Luffy want to more what exactly happened. Luffy realized at that moment he needed to know what was going on. Koala pushed past him with so much force that is caused Luffy to fall. When Luffy tried to get up, he realized that there was actually a small gap to see under the tape. Luffy focused his eyes and directed his attention to the body lying on the floor. All he got was a black coat and lots of blood coating it. Luffy inwardly cursed at the lack of answers he recieved from the ground and tried to look further until he felt someone pick him up by the scruff of his collar.

To Luffy's surprise, it was Smoker who picked him up. It seemed as though Smoker had a guilty look on his face and it only added on to Luffy's confusion.

"Let me out!! I'm fine!" Shouted a familiar voice. Luffy recognized it immediately and turned to look in the direction where it came from. Smoker wouldn't budge and instead of turning Luffy, he used his other hand to duck Luffy's head.

"Nnggh, Smokey what're you-"

"Don't look now Luffy, I can guarantee you won't like what you see," Smoker responded. Luffy struggled to break free from his grasp and it took a hand on Smoker's shoulder from Garp himself to make him release his hold on Luffy.

"You should let Luffy see, he is his best friend after all," Garp said calmly. Luffy didn't miss the apologetic glint in his grandpa's eyes. Smoker reluctantly let go of Luffy and the second he did, Luffy immediately pushed and shoved his way through to see what happened. Luffy wasn't usually the type of guy to get into people's business but when he saw his family come up and Nami in tears, that's when he needed answers.

His question was answered in the form of numerous questions taking its place. The sight in front of him showed Zoro arguing with the paramedics trying to usher him inside the ambulance, just what'd you expect from a guy like Zoro until you see the gaping hole in his left eye. To Luffy, it was the most horrible sight he's ever seen, until he looked down.

Luffy froze. A chill went down his spine and everything around him silenced at once along with his vision blurring. There was a body on the ground that Luffy instantly recognized. It was lifeless, littered with shoe prints and bullet wounds. The blood of this man practically painted a small portion of its parking lot and it continued to do so as the blood pool expanded. Luffy felt the warm blood touch the tip of his shoes, staining them. Luffy couldn't think about anything else at the moment, all he thought about were 3 things.

1. Why

2. Who

3. When

Luffy unbeknowst to him, was screaming his lungs out and tore the yellow line that dared to separate him from his brother. Luffy clutched onto Sabo's dead body and hugged him tightly, words being incoherent and unintelligible. All Luffy could feel was pain and he didn't even notice the multiple arms grabbing him as well as his friends calling out to him. Luffy was overfilled with emotions and they soon became too much to bear. Sinking deeply into unconsciousness, Luffy welcomed the embrace, because he didn't have a choice and his instinct told him to not struggle anymore and to let his mind rest.

"Sabo" he croaked before he succumbed to darkness.

\Flashback End\

Luffy awoke with a start, same damn nightmare. Luffy noticed the cold sweat dripping from his forehead. His hands were still shaking and Luffy's eyes were wide with fear. It was still late at night and the moon was in a crescent shape when Luffy opened the window. Luffy kept on having the same recurring nightmare for a few weeks now and it never seemed to get any better. Luffy was panting shakily and he was still shivering from just thinking about it.

As reality stood, Sabo was dead and Luffy couldn't do anything about it. Luffy had heard that apparently Zoro was the only one there at the time but suffered the consequences for it. Luffy didn't blame anyone, not even Zoro. There was only one person he blamed and that was himself, if he wasn't late, he could've done something. Everyone he knew told him constantly that it wasn't his fault and that there was nothing he could've done about it.

Deep down, Luffy knew it wasn't his fault. Luffy just wanted a person to blame and logically speaking, he would've blamed the man who killed Sabo, but apparently Zoro already took care of him. Luffy's bond with Zoro got even tighter ever since that incident and Luffy has been more grateful to Zoro ever since. Zoro had suffered losing an eye and almost his life for Sabo's sake. Nami was in a state that rivalled even Luffy's when she was there. It was said that Nami was the only one who barely saw Zoro get shot in the eye and the moment she did, she let out the most inhuman screech she had. Nobody recognized the voice and her scream alerted everyone and made them scared about what was happening. People close to her at the time had to hold her back, 4 men exactly since she was trying to rush over to Zoro. Zoro fought against the man who killed Sabo and was able to restrain the man, by killing him. Despite his brutal actions, Zoro was awarded an award from the police department for his brave actions. They congratulated him and called him a hero but Zoro was unpreturbed.

Zoro rejected it since he couldn't save Sabo.

Speaking of Zoro, Luffy was now currently texting Zoro to go and meet up with him at that place. Luffy sent it and waited for Zoro to reply. To provide context, ever since the Sabo incident, Luffy had used Zoro as a coping mechanism whenever he remembered about Sabo. Zoro was actually the one who came up with the idea since Zoro knew that although Ace is probably closer to Luffy, he just doesn't have the time. Zoro and Luffy had similar schedules since they were both jobless and on Summer Break. It didn't take long for Zoro to reply as usual and he said he would pick up Luffy in 15.

Luffy put his phone back in his pocket and opened the window to feel the cool breeze on his face.

It was August 1st, Sunday, and 3:16 A.M. Luffy and his friends would start school next week as Juniors and so far, life was normal for the most part for their high school lives. Of course they had their problems outside of school, but inside was fairly normal. The school they attended was the most popular and well-known school in their area and was known as New World High. Luffy met Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji in an Elementary school called East Blue Academy. They all skipped Pre-school and after 5th grade, they moved onto Grand Line Middle School, where they met Nico Robin.

Luffy always remembered about the past at times like these, thinking about his friends sort of gave him peace. He also enjoyed how fresh it felt and how the stars looked at night. The crescent-shaped moon glowed faintly and Luffy stayed staring up at it. He remembered about all his times with Sabo and for a brief second, remembered about Koala. If there was anyone who probably cared about Sabo more than Luffy and his family, it was Koala. Luffy never worried about Sabo getting heartbroken because Koala clearly cared for Sabo deeply.

But now since Sabo is dead, Luffy has no idea what to think of Koala anymore. She was never seen of heard from again ever since Sabo's funeral and it made Luffy a little sad. Luffy sighed his thoughts out and hoped Zoro would get here soon.

- Zoro -

I felt some movement coming from my shoulder. I already knew who it was but she never moved this much at night. It was when I opened my eyes that I saw a faint light coming from my phone.

'Luffy,' I thought right away. I tried getting up slowly and quietly but it was impossible to sneak away when your girlfriend is a master at that. She turned over and opened her eyes, what she saw was probably me just getting up and retrieving my clothes from the floor.

"5th time this week huh?" She said. I smiled faintly at her.

"Yeah, sorry for waking you," I said putting on my pants.

"Don't be, I already told you that I'd rather have you take care of Luffy even if it meant waking me up. Besides," she said as she got up. She was still naked from last night's session and she was still swaying a bit when walking over to me, the effects of being sleepy. She draped her arm over my shoulder and brought her other hand to my still bandaged eye. I looked into her auburn eyes and was reminded yet again how beautiful she really was. She smiled sweetly at me and pecked me on the tip of my nose.

"It's better to say goodbye like this instead of waking up without you by my side," Nami said. I pulled her closer and kissed her on the lips. She moaned in delight and after a few seconds, I pulled away to get ready. I finished putting on his clothes and Nami kept her eyes on me the entire time. I walked over to her bedroom door and opened it.

"I'll be back soon, love you," I said before closing the door. Nami only sighed and went back to sleep, thinking about how lucky she was.

--

I closed the door and paused for a bit. I brought out my phone and saw that it had been about 13 minutes since I sent the message. The time was currently about 3:30 and I made sure to get ready before I headed out.

Once I was set, I left the apartment where Nami and I stayed at. I had my keys and once close enough, unlocked my 2015 Black Honda Accord. I hopped in, strapped my seatbelt, and lowered the window.

'I'll be back soon' I said in my head. I Put the key in purred to life. I set it in reverse and backed up while looking behind me. Once out, I set it in Drive and drove out to Luffy's place.

'I'm sorry, Luffy'

- Luffy -

"Hehhh, man i'm bored," I stated out loud. Zoro sure was taking his sweet time this time. I wonder if it was either he was lost or Nami woke up and he has to deal with her right now. Whatever the reason, he better hurry quick or I would just show up there myself, walking be damned.

After pondering a good 2 minutes as to how I would walk there, I heard a honk and looked out to see Zoro's black car pulled up. I smiled and crawled out my window to join him. I jumped from the roof to the ground and landed with a thud that made my legs a little wobbly.

"Yo, what took you so long Zoro? You didn't get lost did you?" I asked adjusting my hat.

"Not this time Luffy, just said goodbye to Nami is all," Zoro replied. Zoro nodded his head toward the passenger seat afterward and I entered there. I didn't need to tell Zoro where to go this time, he was the one who showed me the spot after all. Zoro then pulled out of his parking space before heading off.

"You can lower the window if you want Luffy," he told me. I did just that and kept one hand on my straw hat. The wind blasted my face and I saw blurry colors from other cars in front of me. Someday I would get a car of my own, someday.

Zoro kept driving and we stayed like this in a comfortable silence. Zoro wasn't the type of guy to listen to music in a car and I was perfectly fine with that. I wasn't in the mood to listen to music myself, like every other time. I never complained to Zoro throughout the carride, especially on days like these when he went out of his way for me. Zoro was my closest friend and he helped me the most whenever I remembered about Sabo, which is saying something considering I spent most of my time with Ace. Yet somehow, Zoro seemed to be the most beneficial when it came to helping me move forward.

I knew we were getting near when I felt the same pattern of Zoro going certain Lefts and Rights, this spot must be special for him because he never once got lost on his way here. To describe the area, it was a fairly popular place in Grand Line City. It was known as Shimotsuki Pier and Zoro once told me that this was a special place for him as well. I never once asked Zoro why or felt the need to. Zoro wasn't necessarily a secretive type of a guy, just silent. I got the feeling when asked, he would tell me. But I didn't need to know, if anything, it would probably give him some bad memories considering how serious he was when we got here most of the time.

Besides, all I needed to know was that Zoro was a good guy, regardless of what other people say about him. I trusted him wholeheartedly and I knew he felt the same way.

--

We arrived at the same time we usually did at about 4:00 A.M. We could've probably arrived earlier if Zoro didn't have Nami keep him for a bit but at least we were here. We got out the car and walked toward the food truck that was closed. But as soon as we were a few feet away from it, the owner opened up.

"Yo! Looking for something on my SUPERRR menu!?" Franky yelled. Zoro and Luffy winced at his volume and mutely nodded their heads.

"Man you guys are more quiet this time, but I guess I understand, considering why you guys come here pretty often," Franky said preparing their meals, they were both considered regulars and when he got to know them, he got closer to them. They were both great people but their stories weren't for the faint of heart. To provide context, the first time they went here, Luffy noticed Franky's food truck and begged Zoro to let them eat.

Zoro tried to get it through Luffy's head that he was closed but Luffy wouldn't stop until he got some food. Needless to say, Franky was not happy being woken up so abruptly and ordered to make them something. Franky yelled at Luffy to never do it again since he would be closed and that they should just go to sleep. Luffy apologised and ignored him the next time they went.

This pattern continued on until Franky grew accustomed to Luffy's needs at night and the more time he spent with them, the more things he learned about them. Little things like why Luffy constantly wore his straw hat and why Zoro always had a bandanna on his left arm. They both told him why, Luffy saying it belonged to someone special to him and someone special to them. Zoro said it carried a certain importance and promise from a few years ago. Franky also noticed that it was only these two who showed up constantly, and it made Franky curious to know if these two were just latebirds or an item. The first time he said it, Luffy and Zoro denied it calmly since Zoro claimed he had a girlfriend. Franky grew more curious about them each time they came and one day asked them.

Luffy had as always, asked Franky to prepare something he never tried on his menu before and Zoro ordered the same combo of a burger and fries. Luffy had gotten a meaty burrito this time with some sauce and soda, and that was when Franky asked them about it. Franky wasn't prepared for the story they had and he found their story to be more than worthy of his manly tears.

Now whenever Franky sees them, it's a sort of longing look for their lives to get better. He finished preparing the burger for Zoro and the corn dog for Luffy. They gave him the money and thanked him. Franky watched as they walked over to the same spot on the pier.

--

"Franky's such a cool guy don't you think Zoro?" Luffy said finishing his corn dog.

"Hm? Yeah he's a pretty cool guy," Zoro said taking his first bite of his burger. They were eating in a comfortable silence as they were walking to the end of the pier. Luffy nodded and took some of the fries from Zoro's hand.

"He cooks some good food, maybe we should introduce him to Sanji sometime?" Luffy asked licking his fingers and trying to take another fry. Zoro moved his hand away.

"I guess, though that cook would probably try and prove himself the better chef," Zoro said taking another bite.

"Yeah, you're probably right Luffy said taking a fry. By the time Zoro finished his burger, he threw his things away and Luffy followed behind him shortly. They had reached the end of the pier and began to just look out to sea. Luffy took of his hat and placed it on the railing, placing him arms on it with his chin as well. Zoro brought out his Wado Ichimonji from his guitar case. Zoro hid it there to not attract attention and get arrested. Franky knew about it but he swore Zoro's secret was safe with him. Zoro looked at it longingly and closed his eye. Luffy closed his eyes as well and sniffed the salty scent of the ocean which soothed his nostrils.

"Sometimes, I wish I could just head out to sea Zoro," Luffy said without opening his eyes. Zoro hmphed in response and Luffy continued on his story about wanting to be a pirate.

"...and you and Nami would be there too! Nami could be the navigator and you could be...the sword guy!" Luffy said. Luffy always appreciated the ocean and his friends, one day he would surely convince all of them to go on a vacation by boat. Problems were that he didn't have a boat and Usopp was too scared. One day surely.

They both remained like that, silently thinking about their hopes and dreams as the salty scent of the ocean invaded their noses. The wind which carried faint hints of sand with it and the calm peaceful sounds of the ocean's waves crashing ashore. This spot was special to Zoro and these were a few reasons why. It was the place where Kuina, his first girlfriend, took him before she met an unfortunate fate. Zoro cared and loved her deeply, it hurt when she parted ways. Such a thing is life, and Zoro taught this lesson to Luffy who was experiencing a similar loss. It was their coping method and Luffy remembered the first time Zoro brought him out here. Luffy doubted a place such as this would help him but when Zoro told him to close his eyes and think about nothing, Luffy found out how wrong he truly was.

"...Thank you Zoro," Luffy said without opening his eyes. This place gave his mind peace and distracted him from the real world if only for a little bit.

"Idiot, how many times do I have to tell you not to thank me? We're friends, we look out for each other when it matters most," Zoro replied.

"I know, but as a friend it would be wrong of me to not notice and thank you for your help especially after I tried to push you away," Luffy countered. They didn't talk much after that, just stayed in a comfortable silence as Zoro thought back to the incident. The man Zoro killed, he knew him well. It was a good thing Zoro was the one who killed the man, if it were anyone else, it would've ended poorly. He briefly thought about Nami for a moment, oh how he cherished that woman. She was the best thing that's ever happened to him, aside from Kuina. But Kuina was gone, no need to look back into the past. After they reminisced on their past, they made sure they were looking forward to what the future had in store for them.

--

Shortly after that, Zoro dropped Luffy off at his place and headed back to Nami's apartment. It was 6:01 A.M meaning they stayed there for about an hour. Luffy crawled back through his window and was met with Ace standing in his room.

"Oh uh...hey Ace," Luffy said nervously. Luffy had never told anyone he was sneaking out and Luffy didn't see the point in telling them, they were already dealing with their own financial problems and they needed Luffy to be stronger now more than ever.

"Hey Luf, how you holding up?" Ace asked with a gentleness in his voice. Luffy smiled at him.

"Nothing much, just hung out with Zoro. We also got food!" Luffy said giving Ace his trademark grin. It hurt Ace to see Luffy act this way, to hide his emotions from his own brother. But Ace couldn't say anything about it since he was doing the same thing.

"Food? At this time of night? Man you really are unstoppable when it comes to food huh?" Ace said jokingly. Luffy giggled and then looked at Ace seriously.

"Listen Ace, I appreciate what you're doing for me for not telling them, but I want you to get some rest too. I don't like you staying up for my sake," Luffy said looking at him. Ace merely smirked.

'This incident had made him mature for the better Sabo,' Ace thought shortly before he headed back to his room. Unbeknownst to both of them, Shanks was awake and heard the whole conversation. He had his ear pressed up against the wooden door and focused on what they were saying. Makino woke up seeing like that and stifled a giggle of hers from arising.

"Hmm, same thing?" She asked. Shanks nodded and then backed away from the door when he heard Ace's footsteps disappear.

"Yeah, Luffy's still having trouble moving on from Sabo," Shanks said before he walked back over to the bed. He sat down and sighed while running his hand through his hair. He needed to get his shit together, for the family and for himself. Everybody was relying on him and even though Ace and Luffy put up fake personas telling him they were okay, they weren't.

However, if Shanks were to call them out on it, it would be disrespectful to all the strength they were putting out. Makino placed a hand on his shoulder but he didn't look back. He wanted to stay awake and think for some time. Perhaps he should call him.

- Luffy -

"Maann, I'm exhausted!" Luffy said as he plopped himself on his bed. He bounced a bit and stayed looking up at the ceiling like he usually did after visiting the pier with Zoro. He didn't know why he did it, it just seemed natural for him to do. Thinking back at the time made him a little sad. He should get over Sabo soon, school would start back up again shortly after. His eyes grew heavy and it didn't take long for him fall asleep afterward.

"Sabo..." Luffy sighed before drifting off to sleep. Things are hard on Luffy for now, but the path ahead of him will darken and he will need his friends more than ever to keep him intact. Luffy will become a Junior next week, along with his friends.

- Hancock -

Wash it off, it doesn't matter how just as long as you wash it off.

Hancock was currently in the shower, another day had gone by and it was the same as usual for her. She hated him, nothing in her life that made her angry would never compare to how much she hated him. He always had his way with her, treating her like some kind of play thing while having the audacity to claim himself as her father. Hancock sometimes wished she had sisters, a mother turned out to be useless since that man had as many women as he had slaves. Hancock included herself in the slave category, no matter what he thought of her. Each time she called out to her as his daughter made her gut wrench in misery. The only times he needed her were means to get him off, nothing more.

She would start school next week, she supposed she wouldn't be treated so differently from home since all men were the same disgusting creatures. There was no man she would ever trust, the only one she did at one point betrayed her. That man would never be forgiven after such an act, after she gave him everything only for him to throw it all away. Hancock turned off the shower after she was sure she scrubbed off the filth that stained her. She looked at the red marks on her skin, caused by her. She was numb to the pain at this point, physically and mentally. She longed for the day when her life wasn't such a hell anymore. Killing herself was out of the question since it didn't mean anything to anyone, what she longed for was that man's death. She's tried in the past and failed. Everytime he found out, he punished her cruelly, in ways one would not like to imagine.

Hancock sat down and looked into the broken mirror in front her, her beautiful and perfect face looked back at her. Hancock hasn't smiled since the day she was 'captured', she's forgotten how many years it's been, but it was over 2. It would've been more than 10 but because of that man, he made her smile. Hancock wished she didn't smile for him, but she did nevertheless. Hancock remembered the moment clearly but it didn't matter anymore, she didn't care for him anymore.

Hancock stood up and wrapped herself in her towel, tightening around her delicate parts with more than enough excessive force than needed. Once wrapped, she walked toward the bathroom door and leaned in to put her ear next to it. She was able to hear his heavy breathing on the other side, no doubt looking to ravage her once again. Hancock grit her teeth and opened the door.

--

She silently closed the door. She didn't lose any more clothes since she was already naked from taking a shower. Speaking of which, she was on her way to take another one. Another night of sexual abuse for her, god she hated it. Not once has she ever enjoyed an act from no one, no one at all except for one man. She did it with him out of the kindness of her heart but he pushed her away after that. He told her it wasn't because she was 'broken beyond repair', it was because that one night told him that they weren't meant to be. Hancock was used to being lied to, betrayed, and taken advantage of. Yet for some reason when those words left his mouth, she broke down. She never thought anything would hurt her after what she's been through, but she was so very wrong.

She opened the window in her room, it was far too small for her to crawl through and there were barbed wire on the other side. She sighed out and gazed at the moon. Little did she know, fate would have an encounter for her, an encounter that would change her life forever. For better or for worse, one could never know. Her life would change when a certain boy with a straw hat came along.

Author's Notes: Yo! It's been a while...and I suppose I should mention that this Luffy will be a bit OOC and more darker. As for why it's been so long since I updated, I lost interest in this story after I implemented a power system. This time I will stick by my rules and make this story as enjoyable as possible. To those who are still following and reading this story, I thank you.

Thank you to the guest who said they were looking forward to the Remastered version, lots of things will change and hopefully for the better.

All grammar mistakes belong to me, cya.
