A/N: Hi Everyone! I've had serious writer's block while I've been attempting to write the Sequel to "The Butterfly Effect," If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

In the meantime, I have a few other ideas to keep me occupied.

This story is set in Season 4 Ep19 When Sara and Michael have Christina, this is a bit of a tie-in to the show so nothing else changes except one detail. I own no rights to the show or characters, just borrowing. Please Review and Enjoy!

Sara follows him into the bedroom, shutting the door behind her, "I don't know," Michael whispers in despair, rubbing his eyes, "I don't know, maybe we should have followed her or something."

Sara embraces him briefly before kissing his shoulder, "Sit down for me" She says, pushing him gently towards the bed, "Please." He does what she asks and sits heavily on the bed, she squats in front of him, "How about I talk to her? I might have some perspective; she didn't leave me when I was six." He stays silent for a beat while she watches him, he nods slightly before whispering "Okay." She stands back up and kisses him on the head before walking back out to the living room.

"I'm sorry we had to meet this way, Sara." Christina says softly as Sara walks back into the room.

"I'm sorry we had to meet at all," Sara bites back, she can't help but slam the desk drawer, trying to expel some anger before turning to face Christina, "Michael's been through a lot in the past year and at some point it's going to be too much for him." Sara perches herself on the edge of the sofa, taking a deep breath.

"Michael can handle it; he's never known a life without change."

"You say that like you know him." Sara snaps back, crossing her arms and legs.

"Oh, I do," Christina comments before adding smugly, "better than you."

"I don't see how that's possible."

"Oh, you will, when your child's born." Christina looks over Sara intensely, Sara looks away while she continues, "See, I wasn't sure at first but you do have that drawn look, and I see the way you protect yourself when you sense danger," Sara gets up and walks across the room; partly because she doesn't know what else to do, and partly because she wants to double check the bedroom door is shut and Michael can't hear anything. "You don't even know you're doing it, it's instinct." Her comment turns any nervousness to anger again.

"And what is it you know about maternal instinct?" Sara asks as she leans against the armchair in front of her, her body suddenly feeling awfully heavy.

"I've tried to be a mother. Even to Lincoln."

"How can you say that? You left them. Without so much as an explanation!"

"But if Michael would just listen-"

"You know what?" Sara interrupts, tired of playing Christina's game, "You can stop. You can't justify what you did." Sara breathes out; Christina looks Sara up and down with a slight smirk, making Sara's brow furrow in confusion.

"Michael doesn't know you're pregnant, does he?" She lets out a sinister chuckle that causes Sara's heart to skip, "I can tell him if you'd like. Although I don't know he'll be overly happy hearing it from me." She glares at Sara before her smirk grows at the stunned look on Sara's face. Sara manages to roll her eyes and walk back down the hall without a second glance, though she feels her heart is about to give in; she takes a deep breath before opening the bedroom door.

Michael is standing up against the open balcony door, leaning against the frame when he hears the bedroom door click open, he turns to face Sara and one look at her has him asking quickly, "What happened?"

"Uh," Sara leans against the wall, crossing her arms across her chest, "I got nothing." She looks out the window and tries to think of her next words, he catches her hesitation, "Sara?" He asks, his voice full of concern; it takes her a moment to register there are tears running down her cheeks. He steps towards her and pulls her into a tight hug; she grips firmly onto his shirt as she quietly sobs. Michael waits for her sobbing to cease before he asks, with venom behind his words, "What did she do?"

"She didn't do anything, she just-" Sara stops, taking another breath, "I have to tell you something before she has the chance to twist it."

"What is it?" He asks, rubbing her back tenderly.

"Please just keep in mind I wanted to tell you sooner, but everything was happening all at once and I didn't want to add anything else to your plate." She pulls away slightly look at him and he nods slowly, not sure what to expect, "I um, I'm" she clears her throat, "I'm pregnant." She watches him silently as he processes the news, she can't help but feel relieved after finally telling him; when he doesn't react, she continues quietly, "I found out for sure yesterday after we went to airport, but I've suspected it for a couple of weeks. I imagine it happened at the safe house. Apparently Christina can tell by my body language and she threatened to tell-" her rambling is cut off by Michael's lips smashing against hers. He pulls away only when they both need to catch their breath and he smiles broadly at her.

"That is quite possibly the best thing you could have told me." He pulls her to him into a tight hug again.

"You're happy?" She asks shyly.

"Absolutely, are you?"

"I am." She grins before kissing him again.

"Come on, I need to try to get something out of Christina," He gives her another hug and whispers "I love you" into her ear.

"I love you too." She whispers back before they walk out of the bedroom.
